Great explanation. I’ve been working on getting my ready times down, but have never seen any mention that number of CPUs was a consideration. By the way, I use https://www.vmcalc.com/ to calculate wait times.

Actually, if all you need is the vshield endpoint bits for the AV solutions, you don’t have to purchase NSX. Refer to the following:

•With the release of NSX 6.2.4, if you purchased vSphere with vShield Endpoint (Essential Plus and later), you can download NSX. This means that NSX will appear on the vSphere download site, similar to vCNS.

So, you’re still gonna be fine in obtaining vshield manager and the vshield endpoint bits.
