Toys for Tots, run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, distributes toys to the children of families who cannot afford gifts during the holiday season. This amazing program has a positive impact on a number of people’s lives, and directly impacts families in our community.

All vehicles that participated in the 2023 rally donated loads of new, unwrapped toys this holiday season. In addition, every Dimmitt location offered a drop off box for toy donations from November up until the rally. 

This year, over 100 vehicles joined the rally. With each vehicle came new, unwrapped gifts for children. All makes and models were welcome to join the rally. Some vehicles that joined the rally included supercars, classic vehicles, trucks and many more! In St. Pete, the vehicles formed two lanes and wrapped around the Dimmitt Ultra Lux building. In Sarasota, the vehicles were organized in a parking garage next to The Sarasota Studio.

The St. Petersburg Rally started at the Dimmitt McLaren Showroom and traveled to Midtown Tampa where everyone unloaded all the donated toys. We want to thank the deputies of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department for giving your time to support such an important cause and for escorting our drivers through Tampa Bay safely. This event couldn’t happen without your support.  

The Sarasota Rally started at The Sarasota Studio and traveled to Concession Golf Club where everyone unloaded their donations.

Every penny went towards supporting the efforts of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Blood donation is incredibly important, as one in three of us will need a blood transfusion at some point. Dimmitt Insurance Cares is proud to support an organization that helps so many people in our community.

“The Kind Mouse is giving children hope of a brighter future. There are kids who don’t know where their next meal outside of school will come from. Many only eat while school is in session. That means they are hungry on weekends, holidays and over the summer. There are kids in every school dealing with chronic hunger. This Food Drive helped provide meals for struggling families and children in our Tampa Bay community. Dimmitt Insurance is proud to support The Kind Mouse’s mission. As their website states, “More than 7,000 children in Pinellas County live with chronic hunger and more than 36,000 live every day with food insecurities. The Kind Mouse feeds children who have nothing outside of school.” Dimmitt Insurance is thankful for the opportunity to work alongside an organization that does so much good for our community.

This year, over 100 vehicles of various makes and models joined the rally. With each vehicle came new, unwrapped gifts for children. All makes and models were welcome to join the rally. Some vehicles that joined the rally included various supercars, classic vehicles, a Ferrari and many more! The vehicles formed two lanes and wrapped around the Dimmitt Ultra Lux building.

Led by the Sheriff’s Department of Hillsborough County, the drivers set out on their rally. The Rally started at the Dimmitt McLaren Showroom in St. Petersburg and traveled to Midtown Tampa where everyone unloaded all the donated toys.

Veterans and guests enjoyed a savory barbeque lunch. The veterans that attended served our country during the Vietnam War, World War II, and more. In addition to our guest veterans, some of our own Dimmitt employees are veterans as well. 

We are honored to serve those who served us. We would like to extend our most sincere gratitude for those who served our country. Thank you to everyone who attended our annual luncheon. We are proud to have had the opportunity to serve our local veterans.

Metropolitan Ministries is dedicated to helping at-risk families. The mission of Metropolitan Ministries is to “care for the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in our community through services that alleviate suffering, promote dignity and instill self-sufficiency… as an expression of the ongoing ministry of Jesus Christ.” You can learn more about Metropolitan Ministries here.

The Boxes of Hope are emergency food boxes that Metropolitan Ministries sent to the communities of areas most affected by Hurricane Ian. These provided meals to feed a family of four for up to three days. The Dimmitt Automotive team held a weeklong drive throughout our campuses to gather materials for these Boxes of Hope. Dimmitt team members helped provide items including canned meat, peanut butter, cereal boxes, and more. 

Dimmitt is proud to support an organization that does so much to help our neighboring communities.

This year they are working on raising funds to scholarship several kids through summer camp and year-round sailing lessons at CCSC.  They are working on expanding their reach to families in St. Pete and Grace House in Clearwater among other organizations.  Offering these children an opportunity to experience the outdoors while learning a life skill on many levels.

Dimmitt Insurance is proud to support the Clearwater Community Sailing Center and this year’s Winds of Change Event to bring learning programs to our local youngsters.

Furever Friendz, Inc is an incredible organization that helps many dogs in our community. Donations made to Furever Friendz, Inc helps homeless pets at high kill shelters from euthanasia. Furever Friendz, Inc pulls sick or injured dogs from other shelters and helps heal them. If dogs at other shelters have been deemed unadoptable due to behavioral issues, they work with them and train them. They rely solely on donations to care for the everyday need of their animals.
