Images on the landing page show some pretty low effort outfits. I think you could probably get away with a white tshirt that had some black bits taped on. It being worth it will really depend on how bad the lines are. We will repost on 7/14.

Yesterday Citi stopped allowing new applications for the Citi custom cash card. At the time I just assumed that this would mean that you can no longer product change another existing Citi card to the Citi Custom Cash card but for now at least that isn’t the case: 1, 2, 3.

I wouldn’t rely on this continuing to be available so if you were procrastinating or didn’t believe the rumors and want to product change an existing card I’d recommend doing it immediately. Citi does allow product changes via chat.

Chase is now offering customers with a Chase business login a free business credit score through Dun & Bradstreet. This feature is not currently available for everybody but is rolling out. For those unfamiliar Dun & Bradstreet are the equivalent of TransUnion, Equifax or Experian, although Dun & Bradsheet are a behemoth with 70-75%+ marketshare (whereas in the personal sector TU, EQ & EX have roughly a third each). Dun & Bradstreet made some changes to business credit reporting back in 2024.

On a personal note this hits close to home, this site was originally set up because I was unhappy with the information regarding credit reports and credit scoring models for consumers. We originally started covering credit cards and bank accounts as they begun to offer free scores for cardholders and customers. Over time that has obviously morphed into the content you (hopefully) enjoy today.

I doubt this product from Chase/Dun & Bradstreet is particularly useful for most people and it seems like a lot of the data is currently inaccurate.

American Airlines appears to be blocking non stop saver award flights within 144 hours of departure. Additionally it seems like American Airlines is effectively charging a fee as flights get closer to departure. For example JFK ->LAX J (as noted by MinimumPerspective95):

51,000 miles for next five days

46,500 miles for next five days

42,000 miles for the next five days

40,000 mile floor after that

Not a huge surprise as usually the cash price increases as flights become nearer. Still very frustrating, especially for those that stocked up on Alaska miles for these types of flights.

World of Hyatt has announced that from June 30, 2026 some members will get access to award nights up to 13 months out. This feature will be available if any of the following applies to you:

Have Explorist or Globalist status

Are a Chase World of Hyatt cardholder

Normally availability is available 12 months out. This was part of the changes announced when new award tiers and levels were announced but we didn’t know any of the specifics. The new terms state:

For Free Night Award or Points + Cash Award reservations made on or after June 30, 2026, Explorists, Globalists, Lifetime Globalists, and primary cardholders of a Hyatt-branded Credit Card (regardless of tier status) will have advance access to booking as compared to other Members.

Eligibility for this benefit is based on tier status at the time of award booking and booking windows are based on the time zone of the applicable hotel or resort.

Our Verdict

Don’t actually think this is a huge change/benefit, normally getting access to awards isn’t an issue unless it’s something in ultra high demand and even in those cases most people chasing those aspirational redemptions will have either status or a card anyway so the pool of people you’re competing against doesn’t really diminish.

American Express has offered an annual fee credit of up to $150 for Corporate cardholders that also hold a personal credit card for a long time

American Express has offered an annual fee credit of up to $150 for Corporate cardholders that also hold a personal credit card for a long time. Last year they stopped accepting new applications for the program, but existing cardholders continued to receive the credit.

Reddit user ShadesMcCool first reported that cardholders are seeing a notification in their ‘At Work’ dashboard stating that the annual credit will no longer be available to Corportate card members effective August 27, 2026 and cardholders would be informed on 6/2/26.

Not surprising this change was made when they stopped allowing new sign ups. They stopped allowing sign ups on August 29, 2025 so basically allowing those sign ups a full year.

All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

Need to sign up for online statements otherwise there is a $3 fee.

Monthly Fees

Citizens Bank One Deposit Checking Account $9.99 Monthly Fee

The One Deposit checking account comes with a $9.99 monthly fee. Fee is waived by making one deposit each statement period. (According to this comment they really do count any deposit – even a transfer from another Citizens Bank account will trigger this.)

Early Account Termination Fee

As far as we know there is no early account termination fee.

Our Verdict

We’ve seen a $600 bonus in the past, but that required a $15,000 deposit to get the full bonus. This is a better option for those without that extra money sitting around. We will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

The Fine Print

Bonus Term: 05/27/2026 – 09/15/2026. Each Wednesday (from 12:00 AM–11:59 PM Pacific Time) during the Bonus Term, purchases of gas using a OnePay Reward gas offer (“Gas Offer”) can earn $1 cash back per gallon, subject to the limitations of the Gas Offer used (e.g. spend caps or gallon caps).

Only purchases made on a Wednesday qualify for this Bonus.

The $1 cash back through this Bonus is in addition to any cash back amount stated in the OnePay app for the Gas Offer used and any cash back earned by customers who have selected Gas as their monthly cash back category.

Gas Offers are not available in New Jersey or Wisconsin.

Cash back amounts and caps vary by Gas Offer and details can be found in the OnePay app.

This Bonus may be modified or canceled at any time, with or without notice.

Making a purchase through a Gas Offer with a OnePay CashRewards Card or third-party cards linked in the OnePay Wallet require use of the physical card.

Cash back is earned as OnePay Points, redeemable as a deposit into a OnePay deposit account or other available options. See OnePay Rewards Terms at link in bio.

Our Verdict

The gas station needs to appear in the OnePay app and $1 is the minimum, seems like that is in addition to whatever you’d normally earn. Think this just uses the Upside backend white labeled so there should be plenty of gas station options.

Doesn’t seem like you need to use a OnePay card either, as terms say you can have another card linked from your OnePay wallet. I won’t be surprised if this gets pulled early.

You can find more ways to save on fuel in this linked post. Some of the best options currently:

Ibotta: Fuel Your Wallet Promotion (New Code Every Thursday Through June 4)

7-Eleven: Stackable Fuel/Gas Codes ($1.41 Off Per Gal)

F.A.Q’s

Do I need the OnePay Credit Card To Be Eligible?

No. Terms state:

Additionally, for all cards other than Deposit Account debit cards and builder cards, OnePay Points can only be earned through an Upside Offer when using the physical version of the card to make a purchase. For OnePay debit cards and builder cards, OnePay Points can be earned using either the virtual card or physical card to make a purchase. OnePay Points earned through Upside Offers will be provided within 2-10 business days following settlement of the applicable transaction.

So it seems like as long as you’ve added a card to your OnePay wallet and then use that physical card you’ll trigger the offer? Can get a referral bonus when signing up or a targeted bonus, more information here.

Does this require OnePay+?

I don’t see anything in the terms that states you do, this comment confirms.

Update 5/29/26: There is also a new $475 link that requires a $5,000 deposit and two enhanced direct deposits.
Update 4/14/26: Deal has been extended to 10/26/26. Unfortunately the $750 tier has been reduced to only $500.

Update 1/13/26: Extended until 04/13/26, but $425 option is gone. Updated F.A.Q section with more information about savings stack and Citigold.

Update 1/6/26: I’ve tried to fully refresh this page with a F.A.Q section and referral information as well as state differences. Current version is set to end on 1/12/26. If somebody wants to do a walk through of things like timing the increased savings rate/citi gold benefits I’m sure it would be greatly appreciated.

The Fine Print

An EDD is an electronic deposit through the Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) Network of payroll, pension, social security, government benefits and other payments to your checking or savings account. An Enhanced Direct Deposit also includes all deposits via Zelle® and other P2P payments when made via ACH using providers such as Venmo or PayPal. Teller deposits, cash deposits, check deposits, wire transfers, transfers between Citibank accounts, ATM transfers and deposits, mobile check deposits, and P2P payments using a debit card do not qualify as an Enhanced Direct Deposit. (Note: see this comment about Zelle.)

So long as you have not owned a Citi checking account in the last 365 days, meet Tax Requirements, and are at least 18 years old, you can apply to participate in the Enhanced Direct Deposit Checking Acquisition Offer (“Enhanced Direct Deposit Offer”) (click the Offer, Product & Pricing Information link at the top of the fine print to see this)

All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

Regular & Access Checking fee waived:

<del>in the month of account opening and for 3 months after account opening or</del>

each month the account has $250+ in Enhanced Direct Deposits

Early Account Termination Fee

In the past, Citi has not charged any ETF, and none is mentioned for this offer.

Referral Bonus

You can refer people and if they sign up and complete the requirements you will get $100. The person being referred does not get an additional bonus, but they will get the standard bonus (e.g $325/$750/$1,500). Please do not share your referrals in the comments below, but you can use them in this linked thread.

Our Verdict

In some states (NY, CT, NJ, DC, VA, MD, CA, or NV) it’s possible to make the deposit bonus offer ($750/$1,500) significantly better by opening a savings account and linking it within 10 days of the checking account. Currently you can get 3.7% APY for the first three months. If you do the $200,000 deposit offer you are also eligible for Citi gold. Will stack with the Lunar new year promotion as well.

For a lot of readers the $325/$450 offers will be far simpler. We will add it to our best bank bonus page. You can see the definition of an enhanced direct deposit here.

F.A.Q’s

Big thanks to Gadget for helping me with this.

I can’t see the offer? Has it expired?

Probably not, if the offer isn’t showing for you then you need to try the following:

Copy & paste the link rather than clicking the link

Clear your cache and try the above

Copy and paste the link in incognito mode

I can’t see where it says you can’t have had an account within the past 365 days?

Look for the link that says ‘Offer’ and click it. Name of the link sometimes changes but you should be able to find it.

Scroll down to ‘Qualify’, it should state the following: “So long as you have not owned a Citi checking account in the last 365 days, meet Tax Requirements, and are at least 18 years old, you can apply to participate in the Enhanced Direct Deposit Checking Acquisition Offer (“Enhanced Direct Deposit Offer”).”

Is there an offer tracker?

Yes, there is an offer tracker but not everybody sees it unfortunately.

You need to use the Citi app:

Services > Rewards & Upgrades > Explore Rewards > Select the checking account.

Scroll to Citi Checking Cash Bonus Offer – ??? (??? being the last 3 of the account number)

After a day of account opening you should see “Congratulations, You’re Enrolled!”

The $325/$425 offer has number of EDD’s completed, and totals.

The $750/$1500 offer has the exact dates you must meet & maintain the balance.

Can also try online ‘Explore all the benefits of being a Citibank® customer, “Learn more”

How do I stack with the 3.7% savings account?

Firstly this offer is only available in certain states (most likely NY, CT, NJ, DC, VA, MD, CA, or NV but might be more). You then need to do the following:

Open checking account from promo page above

Fund with a small amount

Open the savings account using the savings promo link. This needs to be done after the checking account is opened but within 45 calendar days.

Fully fund savings account within 10 business days of opening it

Optimal time to open the savings account is as close to the 45 calendar days as possible assuming the funds are earning more than 3.7% APY elsewhere (best savings rates here). I would give yourself significant grace time in case something goes wrong.

How do I access the Citigold benefits?

Some people have been able to sign up for Citigold while doing this promotion and get the benefits for three months without depositing $200,000. You find can find a list of the benefits here. You need to activate your debit card before being able to access the Citigold benefits, you can enroll for the benefits here: https://citigold.citi.com/subscriptions.

$475 Offer Doesn’t Work/Says Not Available In My Area?

Seems to only be NY, CT, MD, VA, DC, CA, NV, NJ, and select markets in FL and IL

Our Verdict

Picking the worldcup winner does require making a purchase by 7/15. Suspect a lot of people will be participating so I wouldn’t expect a big payout and I don’t think it makes any sense at all to make a purchase specifically to participate.

Our Verdict

Gonna be cancelled but might as well try. Terms do say:

For new home internet customers who activate/install and keep eligible Fios 2 Gig/Fios 1 Gig/5G Home Ultimate/LTE Home Plus service in good standing for 14 days and redeem offer on Samsung.com w/in 60 days thereafter. Redemption terms apply. If service is canceled w/in 180 days, Verizon will charge back the value of the promotional device.

So I suspect they might just charge you the full value after 180 days. Probably not worth the risk as you do need to enter credit card details.
