Our Verdict

The gas station needs to appear in the OnePay app and $1 is the minimum, seems like that is in addition to whatever you’d normally earn. Think this just uses the Upside backend white labeled so there should be plenty of gas station options. 

Doesn’t seem like you need to use a OnePay card either, as terms say you can have another card linked from your OnePay wallet. I won’t be surprised if this gets pulled early.

Do I need the OnePay Credit Card To Be Eligible?

No. Terms state:

Additionally, for all cards other than Deposit Account debit cards and builder cards, OnePay Points can only be earned through an Upside Offer when using the physical version of the card to make a purchase. For OnePay debit cards and builder cards, OnePay Points can be earned using either the virtual card or physical card to make a purchase. OnePay Points earned through Upside Offers will be provided within 2-10 business days following settlement of the applicable transaction.

So it seems like as long as you’ve added a card to your OnePay wallet and then use that physical card you’ll trigger the offer (confirmation here) Can get a referral bonus when signing up or a targeted bonus, more information here. 

Does this require OnePay+?

I don’t see anything in the terms that states you do, this comment confirms.

Seems like a downgrade with the increased annual fee, card was an easy keep if you valued Prime membership before. Be interesting to see if the refreshed product offers a higher than normal sign up bonus.

Our Verdict

Not as good as the last $500 bonus. Although the direct deposit requirement is lower for the $400 tier. In any case a lot of people try to cycle these santander bonuses so if you’re eligible it’s probably worth just taking this bonus as I doubt we will see anything better in the short term. Our Verdict

American Express points are even more valuable than Hilton points even at a 1:2.6 rate so I don’t think this is worth considering. You can find past American Express transfer bonuses here.

• Capital One is offering a 30% transfer bonus to Japan Airlines. Normally the transfer rate is 1,000:750 and with this bonus it’s 1,000:975

The Fine Print

Our Verdict

We’ve seen this transfer bonus three times before when it was added as a transfer partner in September last year. Promising to see it offered again so soon. 

• Free DashPass (stays the same now and after October 1st)
• Two $10 monthly discounts on non-restaurant orders (stays the same now and after October 1st)
• One monthly $15 credit which can be used on restaurants or non-restaurant orders like grocery or retail (change from the current $5 restaurant discount – it’s increased to $15 and it becomes usable on anything)

Presumably this addition/change is for both Sapphire Reserve card and Sapphire Reserve for Business card. (People are also wondering how it will apply to CSRB employee cardholders.)

I rarely use the DoorDash credits, but will probably start using this one at $15. 

Note: a few months ago, DoorDash added a $20 minimum for pickup orders which makes these credits harder to use in a cost-effective way.

We wrote about the increased offer that Wells Fargo relationship Premier members are getting in-branch for the Autograph Journey card. Reader David notes that these are available online by applying when signed in. And that there are also other increased offers:

• Wells Fargo Autograph Journey 100,000 – discussed prior
• Wells Fargo Active Cash – get $500 cash rewards bonus when you spend $500 in purchases in the first 3 months. That’s in place of the regular $200 bonus public offer. 
• vanilla Journey card – get 50,000 bonus points when you spend $1000 in purchases in the first 3 months. That’s in place of the regular 20,000 points offer.

The $500 bonus with $500 spend is excellent, if you’re willing to add a personal card to your credit report.

Our Verdict

It doesn’t seem possible to split an Airbnb booking between two cards. Buying gift cards also won’t work presumably since it routes through a third party. Still a nice little savings on an Airbnb purchase.

Our Verdict

We’ve seen similar offers in the past. This stacks beautifully with the American Express $200 business Platinum credit if you find the offer on that card. Go through a shopping portal as well.

Many years ago we saw Amex sometimes disallow a double-dip on this as they’ve clawed back the double-take in the past. I’d recommend trying to spend $222 to ensure there’s $200 charge left for the Business Platinum credit, after getting the $22 back from the Amex Offer.
