It’s a simple and straightforward game. So, honestly, there’s nothing much to say about it. You start with an empty battlefield and gradually assemble your team of heroes however you want. There are thousands of possible combinations, so you’re free to decide what kind of strategy sounds fun.

Maybe you just flood the battlefield with a massive army and overwhelm everything through numbers. Or maybe you focus on only a handful of heroes, stacking upgrades until they’re stronger than anything else on the map.

One great feature of Some of You May Die is that you can upgrade everything. Heroes, stats, abilities, upgrades…pretty much every part of your army can be improved with the gold you earn after battles.

The upgrades themselves can also be levelled up. Some upgrades add effects like Poison or Stun to attacks, while others activate when certain events happen, like on death or on kill. As those upgrades level up, they become much stronger.

The customization is also vast. Every hero comes with two Boosted Stats, things like health, attack speed, or range, alongside a unique ability. Those boosted stats start higher than normal and also scale faster. So, every version of a hero you find in the shop has different strengths and different upgrade potential.

Some of You May Die, but that’s okay… I guess?

There’s plenty to do whether you want to play alone or against other people. The single-player campaign features seven different squads and five difficulty levels. Meanwhile, multiplayer lets you jump into real-time online PvP. Every multiplayer match also randomizes the squad of heroes you’re offered, while each match has a different pool of upgrades available.

You’re playing as Thȫmi, who’s trying to reach the highest peak of an absolutely gigantic mountain. His motive is to fulfil the final promise he made to his grandfather that he’d scatter his ashes from the summit.

Barda: Backpack Roguelike asks one question over and over: did you pack your bag properly? As you make your way up the mountain, you’ll stop at different nodes, each throwing a different problem your way. The solution is as simple as dragging and dropping the right item from your backpack onto the challenge.

The backpack is the star of the game, of course. You’ll collect more than 140 unique items, all with different sizes and effects. Every single slot matters because space is limited. Food keeps you alive, and equipment helps deal with obstacles. You constantly decide what deserves precious inventory space and what has to be left behind.

Barda: Backpack Roguelike also has deckbuilder roguelike ideas and roguelite progression. So, every expedition unlocks new items, tools, companions, and more options inside the Explorer’s Tree. There’s also a base camp you can improve between runs, so even failed climbs help you prepare for the next attempt.

The mountain is absolutely massive too. As you climb higher, you’ll move through all kinds of environments. There’s lush jungles, green forests, frozen mountain passes, icy peaks, raging volcanoes, and volcanic regions. Then there are mysterious runic-looking areas hidden beneath an ominous fog.

The building mechanics have been described by fans as being the most intelligent in any mobile game, and by the developer as “more of a toy than a game”. Build to your heart’s desire, as you learn how to build cathedrals, hamlets, houses, and even canal networks, among a plethora of other buildings.

An irregular grid is used as a foundation for you to place colored blocks on. Townscaper will help you out, as the game connects the dots for you. Give the game a shot if building is your thing!

Pocket City

Another building game! Who knew creating cities would be such a casual thing to do?

Pocket City takes what’s great about city-building games and scales it right down for a casual tone and audience. Despite this, there’s still a disaster feature, which will allow you to see how well your city will stand up in a disaster. Among these are other mini-features and events, providing plenty of content.

Once purchased, the game has no micro-transactions, which is honestly just a bonus.

Build homes for your citizens, create recreational zones for them, respond to crime, and more in this modern city builder.

Railbound

Railbound is a unique little puzzle-solving casual game, where the main goal is to see that two dogs are safely transported to their destination by rail. We’ve put this puzzle game down as casual due to the playful nature of the game. While you’ll feel a sense of achievement when you succeed, you can’t help but laugh at yourself and with the game when it all comes apart!

The concept alone is quite bizarre, but solving the 150 puzzles along your journey will take your mind off that. The game doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is exactly what we’re looking for!

World Of Goo 2

In times gone by, we’d have recommended the original World Of Goo here, but sadly that became a Netflix exclusive, and has been for a while. Fortunately, the second in the series is a regular Premium title and brings all you could want in terms of endearing and yet slightly sinister physics puzzles.

Fishing and Life

Do you know what’s pretty casual and relaxing? Fishing. So what would you do if you were looking for a casual and relaxing Android game? You would fish, of course.

Fishing and Life was created with the intention of gently distracting you from the worries of everyday life, and it succeeds brilliantly. Styled with pleasing, minimalistic 2D art, you’ll quietly fish in a small wooden boat whilst listening to the waves gently pass you by. Upgrade your gear, travel to different spots in the water, and enjoy a sunset as you fish your worries away.

While the game came out in 2019, it’s still getting updates to this day. That reason, in combination with how simplistic and lovely it is, is why we’ve included it on this list.

Neko Atsume

Cats? Who doesn’t feel a rush of serotonin when looking at a happy one? Well, that happy brain chemistry booster can sit in your pocket in the form of Neko Atsume, a casual game where you set up a room of tempting beds and toys and check it to spot some of the cast of cats enjoying the facilities.

Little Inferno

If you’ve got a small streak of pyromania in you, there’s Little Inferno. You play a fellow trapped inside as the weather turns fouler and fouler. Fortunately, you have your Little Inferno furnace and a seemingly endless list of knick-knacks to order and immolate. Though.. is there something a little more sinister going on?

Cut The Rope

A classic, casual physics puzzle where you need to get a candy to a little green lizard, with only your instincts and your ability to cut strings to make things swing around. It’s very popular for a reason, it’s a super fun little time waster that’s divided into manageable bite-sized chunks. Perfect for the bus or a waiting room.

Easy Delivery Co

We’d call this pretty casual as this cartoony delivery game is easy to pick up and carry out trips on for five or ten minutes. That said, there is a lot more to this game and the world it’s set in that you can find out if you decide to explore and look a bit deeper… or don’t and just drive your little truck around in the snow. We’re not going to tell you what to do.

Consider the tips below to be a checklist of daily activities you should perform to maximize the number of Monopoly Go free rolls you can get.

Facebook Gifts

Follow the official Facebook, as Scopely has started to dish out free gifts via that channel. It’s not quite daily just yet, but it should grow over time.

Instagram Stories

Scopely is now giving away Monopoly GO free dice on the official Instagram, though usually via competition. Follow the group and see what you can get!

Daily Links

Much like Coin Master, Monopoly GO! gives away a handful of free dice via links per day. However, unlike Coin Master, they’re very difficult to get hold of and only drop in Discord.

They also expire incredibly quickly, so you’ll have to set up notifications and keep checking back throughout the day. There are plenty of rolls on offer via this method though, so it’s worth it even though it’s frustrating.

Play Regularly

You should play regularly to maximize the number of Monopoly GO free rolls you get. Why? Well, you get a free roll every five minutes, and this number is capped at 30 initially, though you can lift it by leveling up.

What that means is, that once you have 30 rolls ready to go, you can no longer earn any further free rolls. By not playing every single time this cap is reached, you’re, effectively, wasting rolls. Set up notifications so you never forget, or simply check in twice per day to ensure that you’re always spending your free rolls.

Town Upgrades

You can spend the cash you earn from rolling dice on town upgrades, including statues, buildings, and other real-life points of interest. Once you’ve built all the upgrades a town has to offer, and upgraded them to the max, your town is considered complete and you move on to the next one.

When this happens, you earn Monopoly Go free rolls that you can use on the board. That’s right – it pays to spend in Monopoly Go.

Level Up

As you roll dice and spend money, your net worth increases and this number represents your level. As your net worth increases, you earn various rewards that can occasionally include free rolls.

The only way you can increase your net worth is by playing though, so this is more something that will just happen as you progress.

Complete Albums

Much like in Coin Master, you can occasionally open sticker packs that reward you with stickers. These are all part of a specific album, and if you complete the album you get rewards that can include free rolls.

You earn stickers as you play, via events, or for daily logins, so don’t worry too much about chasing them down. You can trade duplicates with friends, or by joining the trading group on Facebook.

Login Rewards

The first time you login to Monopoly Go each day, you earn a reward. Yes, these can include free rolls! You can check the rewards on a weekly basis, so you always know when to expect some dice.

Daily Challenges

Each day, you can complete three simple challenges to get your hands on some quick rewards. As you can expect, these do include free wins on occasion, so make sure to check in each day and complete them.

These daily challenges all go towards weekly rewards too, so make sure to keep completing these every day.

Add Friends

Each time you invite a friend and they start playing Monopoly Go, you earn 30 free rolls. Go crazy and invite as many people as possible.

Chase the dimensionhopping cat in Wish Upon A Cat

It all starts on your best friend’s birthday. The two of you had a fight, and you’re not even speaking anymore. You’re sitting there regretting everything when your computer suddenly explodes with light and straight-up drags you into another dimension.

Apparently, a rogue cat with a terrible attitude has been jumping across realities and completely messing up the dimensions. If nobody stops it, things could end with another big bang. So, you head off after this feisty little cat.

The whole adventure takes place inside an apartment where dimensions from several Odencat games have fused together. You’ll be wandering through worlds inspired by Bear’s Restaurant, Snowman Story, Mousebusters, Meg’s Monster, and other Odencat titles.

You try to track down Odencat. Yes, that’s the studio’s mascot character, and it’s hiding somewhere in all the chaos. The adventure involves you gathering information from all the characters you meet to figure out where Odencat is hiding.

Every character has new dialogue written specifically for this game. Along the way, you’ll explore colourful maps, listen to a wide variety of music, and run into dozens of familiar faces from previous Odencat games.

Like their other titles, Wish Upon A Cat has a charming presentation with cute characters. The atmosphere is one of its best qualities, mixing light-hearted moments with emotional themes. If you’ve played the other Odencat games, you’ll probably catch plenty of references and little Easter eggs scattered throughout the adventure.

It comes from Miracle Tea Studios, the makers of Ruya, the tranquil game of matching cute characters. Their other games include Tong, the funny and weird food-fighting PvP licking game. Club Soko actually started life as a project for the Crazy Games Jam.

Club Soko has a lot of personality

You play as Maude, a graffiti artist who’s determined to tag every wall she can find. The deeper you make it into the mysterious underground club, the more you find that the place is hiding a lot more than just loud music and drunk people.

You have to work your way past bouncers, wasted club-goers, and even mimes. Each type of character messes with your movement in different ways as you try to make your way through the dance floor and leave your mark.

Every stage is represented by a vinyl record with its own musical style and theme. As Maude makes her way, new mechanics keep getting introduced. Examples include challenges like leapfroggers and moshers. There are hidden parties, skateparks, and stickers, too.

Club Soko includes more than 100 handcrafted puzzles, 11 different kinds of puzzle pieces and six chapters that each come with their own music. There’s an undo system so you can fix mistakes without restarting everything.

There are also 13 unlockable cameo characters featuring other indie developers, artists, and indie games. You’ll find loads of references, including a Bolt Thrower poster and even a level named after an Obituary song.

On top of that, you get two different types of secret rooms, a chill music mode if you just want to relax, and a puke toggle for anyone who’d rather not deal with that. It’s also the first puzzle game in the world with a circle pit.

Club Soko is available now on the Google Play Store as a premium release for $4.99.
