Each run in Gambonanza offers modifiers called Gambits. There are over 150 of these in the game, and they draw inspiration from real-life and fictional chess players. Examples include the ROOOOOOK’s Gambit from GothamChess and Beth’s Gambit, inspired by The Queen’s Gambit Netflix series.

There’s also Hyper Bullet’s Gambit from Andrew Tang aka PenguinGM1. In this one, players have around 30–15 seconds for an entire game. Anna’s Family Gambit is also part of the features, referencing Anna Cramling.

Gambonanza doesn’t have the usual 64-square board

Matches often unfold on boards that are roughly half that size or even smaller. The objective also shifts away from the traditional checkmate goal. Here, your goal is to capture every opposing piece. Gambonanza doesn’t expect players to come in as chess experts.

Gambits can supercharge specific pieces or force enemies to skip turns. Meanwhile, you can modify the board with elements like golden squares, blessing tiles and protective surfaces that alter positioning strategies.

There’s also a reserve system that sits outside the board. It lets you store extra pieces and deploy them at key moments to swing the outcome of a match. There are boss fights which punish sloppy planning and reward builds that make full use of the available systems.

Gambonanza also offers mini-games inspired by pachinko, slot machines and Gachapon to offer boosts. Visually, it goes for a bright pixel art style layered with a CRT filter, giving everything a retro feel. Take a look at it below.

Collecting the colours, you drag a growing rainbow behind you the entire time, which ends up being your main tool. The longer your chain survives, the higher your score goes, and that’s the entire loop.

As you keep moving through the bright, constantly shifting environments, you pick up colour blobs that stack into the trailing line. The colours are what let you deal with what’s coming at you.

It’s about matching, too. For instance, if you have collected red, you can smash through red barriers, blue takes out blue blocks, and so on. All you need here is precision and speed.

What that means is, that once you have 30 rolls ready to go, you can no longer earn any further free rolls. By not playing every single time this cap is reached, you’re, effectively, wasting rolls. Set up notifications so you never forget, or simply check in twice per day to ensure that you’re always spending your free rolls.

Town Upgrades

You can spend the cash you earn from rolling dice on town upgrades, including statues, buildings, and other real-life points of interest. Once you’ve built all the upgrades a town has to offer, and upgraded them to the max, your town is considered complete and you move on to the next one.

When this happens, you earn Monopoly Go free rolls that you can use on the board. That’s right – it pays to spend in Monopoly Go.

Level Up

As you roll dice and spend money, your net worth increases and this number represents your level. As your net worth increases, you earn various rewards that can occasionally include free rolls.

The only way you can increase your net worth is by playing though, so this is more something that will just happen as you progress.

Complete Albums

Much like in Coin Master, you can occasionally open sticker packs that reward you with stickers. These are all part of a specific album, and if you complete the album you get rewards that can include free rolls.

You earn stickers as you play, via events, or for daily logins, so don’t worry too much about chasing them down. You can trade duplicates with friends, or by joining the trading group on Facebook.

Login Rewards

The first time you login to Monopoly Go each day, you earn a reward. Yes, these can include free rolls! You can check the rewards on a weekly basis, so you always know when to expect some dice.

Daily Challenges

Each day, you can complete three simple challenges to get your hands on some quick rewards. As you can expect, these do include free wins on occasion, so make sure to check in each day and complete them.

These daily challenges all go towards weekly rewards too, so make sure to keep completing these every day.

Add Friends

Each time you invite a friend and they start playing Monopoly Go, you earn 30 free rolls. Go crazy and invite as many people as possible.

The game sticks to a simple loop. You pick up fish, let them grow in real time, and eventually sell them for profit. Or you can keep them around as a steady source of income through ticket sales.

It’s not much active management and more about checking in occasionally. You watch progress unfold. Your basic starter tank can slowly turn into a heavily customised aquarium filled with rare exotic species and even ultra-rare colour variants.

There’s a wide pool of fish to collect, along with decorations and upgrades. The presentation is full of calm visuals and ambient sound. Take a look at Chillquarium below and see for yourself.

You can unlock fish through booster packs, and there’s a feeding frenzy mechanic that helps them grow faster. It offers a gacha-style chase for completing sets or finding golden and legendary variants. Altogether, the game includes 156 unique fish.

There’s also a real-time day-night cycle that subtly changes the atmosphere of the aquarium. I’d say that Chillquarium is a truly low-effort, low-stress title that you can try out if you’re bored or whatever. It’s available on the Google Play Store for free.

Apparently, Ben Reber developed Chillquarium entirely on his own over nearly four years, handling everything from programming to art and music. It started as a passion project, and despite having very little marketing behind it, the game managed to break out on Steam.

The game lets you solve more than 300 hand-crafted riddles. Every single one expects you to come up with an answer made of two words that rhyme. The riddles come in different difficulty levels. The hint system can reveal things like syllables, first letters, or even similar-sounding words to nudge you in the right direction.

What’s kind of funny is how the hints are presented, too. Instead of a boring UI prompt, there’s a cute little fox, an owl, and a crow helping you out. They don’t just give clues either; they keep the tea flowing as well!

In case you’re wondering what kind of riddles you’ll get, here are some examples. What’s the other name for a purple aviator? It’s Violet Pilot! And what’s a brick of hay that’s no longer fresh? Yep, it’s stale bale.

The Rhymatory is pretty

The game sticks to hand-drawn illustrations, and everything looks so calm. Just like Catagrams, the devs have once again used storybook-like animals and words to produce a relaxing puzzle game that’s all about having a little fun.

Final Fantasy VII

This iconic RPG is out on Android and it’s controller-friendly, too! Head out on a truly epic adventure that takes you from the streets of the metropolis of Midgar to try and save the planet from a terrible and existential threat.

Alien Isolation

You can tackle this terrifying monster survival horror on the Android platform, and it’s easily compatible with the Razer Kishi. In Alien Isolation you explore the Sevastopol Station, a space station descending into chaos as an extraterrestrial apex predator stalks its hall. Do whatever you can to survive.

Blasphemous

Mix Dark Souls, Metroidvania, and someone’s intense Catholic guilt and you get Blasphemous, a brutal 2D Souls-like which takes a lot of inspiration from cathedral aesthetic. If rather than serenity you were aiming for torment and impeccably-timed parries.

MO: Astray

Perhaps a lesser-known Steam game port, and one that could really use more postive attention, is MO: Astray. This game sees you controlling MO, an adorable little turquoise blob who wakes up to a decimated world.

While you’re squishy in both senses of the word, your unique physiology lets you bounce off walls, possess wandering creatures, and give yourself intense emotional damage by reading their minds.

DREDGE

Set out to fish in a sea where humans aren’t necessarily the apex predator. Try to make money to keep your livelihood running, while avoiding the Terrible Things that lurk beneath the surface.

Limbo

This one has been around a while, but if you’ve never experienced Limbo it’s well worth at least once playthrough. It’s a dark and unsettling platformer that places you in a grim, greyscale world where almost everything wants you dead. You may need all the extra control the controller support gives you to stay alive.

Subnautica

It was on PC for quite some time before hitting Android, and we’re so glad it did. Subnautica is a sci-fi survival game where your spaceship crash landed on a hostile alien world dominated by oceans. Improvise and build a new life there while you try to find a way to escape… it’s more difficult than you might think.

Don’t Starve Pocket Edition

Another survival title, Don’t Starve is a charming isometric adventure through a horrible place you got dropped in by a scoundrel. Make a camp, craft equipment, create a fire to fend of the Night Monster (there’s one of those) and make sure you find some food. The clue is in the name.

Get ready for Operation Trauma Front in Rainbow Six Mobile

The main feature is House, a map for close-quarters fights and constant pressure. It focuses on tight interiors where every room becomes a potential flashpoint. You need to have careful movement and teamwork, since rushing in blindly can quickly backfire in such confined spaces.

Doc joins the roster as a support-focused Operator with tools that can keep a team alive when things start to fall apart. His Stim Pistol allows him to fire healing darts from a distance, which can either revive downed teammates or give a health boost mid-fight.

The season also rotates through several limited-time modes. In the first week, House Showcase lets you jump into Bomb mode on the new map while trying out Doc for free.

Weeks 2 and 3 shift to 3v3 House, scaling things down into smaller, more tactical matches. By Weeks 4 and 5, the focus turns to 2v2 Face Off. It brings a set of high-pressure duels played across rotating maps, including House, Oregon, and Border.

Best of 7 Ranked returns every weekend, offering longer, higher-stakes matches with additional rewards. At the same time, Rainbow Six Mobile is kicking off a new Ranked Season with Operation Trauma Front. It features a fresh Ranked skin for Hibana.

The Walking Dead: Aftermath is a roguelite game arriving on mobile this summer

You’ll be in control of survivors such as Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Michonne, Glenn, and Maggie. Each character comes with distinct weapons, abilities, and combat styles. It begins on the outskirts of Atlanta, depicting the early days of the series where a fragile group struggles to endure.

The roguelite gameplay has elements of survivor management and base-building. You’ll scavenge, adapt, and fight through increasingly dangerous scenarios, with supply runs being high-risk ventures in a collapsing world.

Campaign missions revisit recognisable settings from the show. You’ll be seeing Hershel’s Farm, Woodbury, and Alexandria. Aftermath offers replayability, with each run offering different outcomes, abilities, and strategies as you grow stronger over time.

There’s a central camp where you can assign garrison survivors to reinforce defenses, generate resources, and support ongoing survival efforts. At the same time, combat-focused survivors are deployed in runs that feature swarms of walkers. They include specialised variants, such as armoured and burning enemies.

Human opponents also appear, reflecting the series’ recurring theme of conflict between survivors. It’s the challenge of protecting the living and sustaining a community over time. You have to balance between building, fighting, and decision-making.

Apart from Android and iOS, the game will get versions for additional platforms as well, though details on those will come later. Pre-registration for The Walking Dead: Aftermath is now live on the Google Play Store. It will be free to play.
