We made “Forgive Me” with one of our all-time favorite artists Mahmut Orhan and we got to go to Istanbul to film the video, which was a truly life changing experience. This song means a lot to us. It’s one of the most personal we’ve ever written and it’s what making music is all about… transforming a challenging life experience and alchemizing it into something we can dance to and connect with others on... ‒SOFI TUKKER

The “Forgive Me” video is one of SOFI TUKKER”s most ambitious and visually striking to date. Filmed on location at Evcik Beach and Kilyos Beach in Istanbul, it takes us from the confinement of a white box room to the country’s seaside cliffs in a speeding car. Choreographer Tanem Işık, a sixteen year old phenom from Istanbul, created the modern dance piece in the video where she plays Sophie’s double in a battle that depicts Sophie’s battle with negative impulses that get away from her. A group of modern road warriors in surreal gear, including Tucker and Mahmut, race to her side and cast a circle around her as she reconciles with her darker self. The cast wears emerging Turkish fashion designers from NEW GEN.

SOFI TUKKER’s WET TENNIS era has begun! Following last month’s release of the “Original Sin” video and announcement that WET TENNIS, the anticipated follow up to their GRAMMY nominated debut album Treehouse, will be released on April 29th, the group has revealed the cover art and tracklist and is sharing ”Forgive Me”, one of the album’s meditations on resilience, radical self-acceptance, and joy. True to the global scope of SOFI TUKKER’s creativity, the single is a collaboration with Turkish producer Mahmut Orhan whose string arrangement on the song draws inspiration from traditional Turkish music.

Originally, this 2001 tune marked the emerging electroclash sound, twenty years later the world’s No.1 DJ honours this record with a tough, bass-heavy, 2021 house version.

In a year where David Guetta continued to create worldwide pop hits like ‘Remember’ (with Becky Hill) and the Grammy-nominated ‘Hero’ (together with Afrojack), brought the future rave sound he created with MORTEN to new heights, while still maintaining a close connection with his club roots through the Jack Back pseudonym – nothing seems ‘Impossible.’

And so, as the French mastermind was recently crowned DJ Mag’s #1 DJ once again, he continued to craft new sounds – whether for his mainstream audience, the festival crowds, or techno aficionados.

Kicking off with deep, pulsating bass, the record continues with Kittin’s characteristic vocals, cool and vicious. In the meantime, an old school house beat takes control, enforced by twisted bass sounds and wild drum fills, making this one of the grittiest tunes you’ve heard this year.

‘Silver Screen (Shower Scene)’ is electro house in its most essential guise; inspired by one of the genre’s trademark songs, now culminating in a raving new edit. While most acts in dance music are concerned with nailing their particular sound, Bingo Players have always managed to wear multiple masks. This can be seen as far back as 2011, which was a crucial year for the Dutch act’s success, as the then-duo released the disco-infused vocal house track “Cry Just A Little,” followed by the club-crooning electro single “Rattle,” both of which were met with global recognition.

Lots has changed for Bingo Players since then, including the unfortunate passing of the group’s founding member Paul Bäumer, however, its sonic imprint has not. Now led by Maarten Hoogstraten, Bingo Players continues to diversify its sound between a smattering of upbeat vocal-house tracks and more club-ready beats that are, for lack of a better term, straight up dirty. The new official video was shot on sunny Los Angeles rooftop, the video oozes old-school Hollywood glamour and features Rita in an array of captivating set-ups, including underwater scenes with a troupe of synchronised swimmers. Directed by Clara Cullen, the video made its global broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU and select MTV global channels, as well as on the ViacomCBS Times Square billboard.

The track, which features vocals from chart-topper Rita Ora, bears all the markings of a true Sigala classic with the pair creating euphoric dance- pop perfection, enhanced perfectly by Sigala’s buoyant blue-sky signature sound. The single amassed a staggering 4 MILLION streams in its first week of release.

Three months ago, we were asked to produce a music video for the brand new track of You & I, called ‘Suitcase Stories’ based on the iconic Duran Duran-anthem ‘Save A Prayer’. It’s the very first time we ever produced a music video, and with no real preparations and time for editing, it was quite a challenge, to be honest… We decided to make a showcase of all our travels from last year and are super proud of the final result!

Au/Ra’s follow up single ‘Panic Room’ is probably her biggest single to date, having amassed over 14 million views on YouTube and reaching the top 40 in the UK singles chart. The video showcases an intense scenario in a hospital, with the staff seeking refuge in a locked room. Au/Ra who comes across in the video as a patient in need, is actually the dangerous trigger but by the time we find that out, it’s already too late. “Panic Room was basically about anxiety and that feeling of being trapped in your own head,” explains Au/Ra. She further explains that the video resembles ones mind, a place that only we ourselves can control but then at times, we can’t control at all. “Everybody can have these thoughts that are fighting each other. I have dark thoughts, that happens. It was really talking about that place that you sometimes go to, when you’re too controlled by anxiety, everybody does at some point and it sucks.” Au/Ra also shares that she felt a lot of anxiety during school and the song was her way of explaining how she was feeling however, not by telling people how to fix the problem. “Just explaining how something feels is enough and then you acknowledge it and you’re like yea, everybody feels like that, it’s OK. Then you just kinda accept it.”

The Official Music Video for Au/Ra’s latest single ‘Stay Happy’ has just been released and it’s a really terrific. As we were speaking ahead of it’s release, Au/Ra shared with us what the song is all about, “It’s a lot about questioning if there is a short cut to stay happy,” details Au/Ra. “There’s all these small moments and sometimes it’s hard to know whether you’re actually in them or not and it just feels weird. I just wanted to write something that kind of says that, cause I went through a phase when I was kind of neutral all the time. I wasn’t happy, I wasn’t sad I was just kinda numb and it was weird. I think I’m past that now, it comes in and out but a lot of people feel like that sometimes, you just don’t know how to feel. It’s like does anybody ever just stay happy?” It’s a legit question to ask, don’t you think? I guess with life, it’s all about balance and happiness wouldn’t exist if we were unable to also feel sadness. I ask Au/Ra what she does to try and stay happy and she tells me, “I talk to my friends and family a lot, I try to remind myself of the things that I can be grateful for and appreciate things more. I think that keeps you grounded and yea, keeps you happy. Listen to a lot of music, write a lot more, cry, eat chocolate,” she laughs. — DSTNGR

Uploaded to W&W’s official YouTube channel earlier this wMonth (March 2019), the duo shared their latest music video featuring Japan’s most prominent Virtual YouTuber. But while the song is almost a total 180 on what you’d expect from Kizuna AI following her previous releases, this song would definitely appeal to the rave junkies that W&W would normally appeal to. It’s very much a European dance track and carries all the staples of its genre.

It’s probably no secret that W&W are fans of Japanese pop culture. In mid-2018 the duo released a collaborative single with hardcore producer Darren Styles complete with an anime-style music video. Though you’d think it should be obvious, apparently it helps quite a lot when your hard-embedded music video subtitles aren’t straight out of Google Translate, especially when you compare it to the on-screen subtitles for “The Light”.

While his actual involvement isn’t quite detailed, it’s also mentioned quite clearly in the video description that Tokyo-based producer TeddyLoid was also involved in the creation of this song. In addition to this, the track received support from Avex’s “Future of Music” imprint. The music video was captured in real time inside TheWaveVR, a Los Angeles-based tech startup whose platform allows for concerts and events inside virtual reality spaces.

More and more EDM DJ/producers have embraced classic styles of dance music of late, but Quintino's latest fusion is particularly unexpected. The Dutch DJ/producer has released a track titled "teQno (Music Is The Answer)" that derives influence from the techno genre.

Before you get too excited, the song itself is a big room anthem made with sold-out festival crowds in mind. Incorporated throughout are droning bass lines and heavy kick drums that simply hint at the subversive aesthetic of techno. Rounding out the arrangement is a "classic '90s vocal sample" that invigorates the concept with a singalong quality.

Quintino (real name Quinten van den Berg) broke through in 2011 with a remix of Cidinho & Doca's "Rap Das Armas" and continues to command a sizeable following today. Last year alone, he amassed over 100 million streams on Spotify.

The Chemical Brothers have shared the latest single from their forthcoming album No Geography, “We’ve Got To Try,” along with an accompanying music video that dropped Friday.

The electronic duo’s pulsating new song is intensified by its video directed by Ninian Doff, who crafted the group’s 2015 clip for “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted.” The visual chronicles the “rags-to-riches” tale of an abandoned dog named “Girl” who after leaving the streets of London, embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

The Chemical Brothers also released a remix of the track titled “WGTT15000BPM F1 NEEEUM Mix” to celebrate the beginning of the 2019 F1 season. According to a press release, to make the remix, the track was “broken down, re-engineered and accelerated to 15,000 beats per minute (BPM) to reflect the 15,000 beats per minute (BPM) that today’s hyper-complex F1 cars are capable of reaching.”

Starting from the beautiful voice of Laura White With a vibrant, the remix develops with a fast clap before leaving room for the bass line of the style of HUGEL. David Guetta, Bebe Rexha and J Balvin unveiled a vibrant new video for their collaboration “Say My Name,” which appears on the French DJ/producer’s latest album, 7.

Hannah Lux Davis directed the video for “Say My Name,” which boasts a tropical vibe and vivid color palette. The clip is interspersed with shots of jungle flowers and animals, crafting a unique visual complement to the scenes of Guetta, Rexha and Balvin performing the track on a neon-lit dance floor filled with ravers in eye-popping outfits.

“Say My Name” marks the latest in a string of visuals for 7‘s numerous singles. Guetta has also shared clips for “Don’t Leave Me Alone,” featuring Anne-Marie, “Flames,” featuring Sia and “2U,” featuring Justin Bieber.

Guetta released 7 in September, marking his seventh LP and first since 2014’s. The double-record features an array of collaborations with artists including Nicki Minaj, Jason Derulo, Willy William, G-Eazy, Charli XCX and Lil Uzi Vert. This article originally appeared in RollingStone.

Steve Aoki released his latest team-up with Korean septet BTS “Waste It On Me” on Oct. 25, with the song going on to become a huge success, landing at No. 89 on the Hot 100. On Monday (Nov. 19), Aoki shared the star-studded music video for the track.

Full of Asian-American representation, the music video stars Ken Jeong, who recently appeared in Crazy Rich Asians, as a waiter pining for actress Devon Aoki, sister of Steve, as he sings his request for her to “Waste It On Me.”

The lip-synch-focused clip also features Crazy Rich Asians’ Jimmy O. Yang, Ross Butler of 13 Reasons Why, Jamie Chung, currently appearing in Fox’s The Gifted, Westworld's Leonardo Nam, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Vincent Rodriguez III, and many others.

“Waste It On Me” is featured on Aoki's Neon Future III album, which was released on Nov. 9. It's the first all-English track released under BTS’ name, and features vocals from Jungkook and RM and marks the third BTS/Aoki collaboration. "Waste It On Me" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 89 on the chart dated Nov. 10, after previously debuting on the Hot Electronic/Dance Songs chart, dated Nov. 3, at No. 11. The real world sucks. Let's sell the kids a fantasy, and nothing says "everything you ever asked for" like Ellie Goulding and Swae Lee finessin' heavy in lush palace gardens, draped in expensive looks.

We don't need a visual to groove to the pair's “Close to Me.” Diplo collaborated on the beat, though he doesn't appear in the video, which is only a little strange since he's doing the whole professional model thing now. Honestly, who needs him when Goulding and Lee are looking like swagged-out royalty? We want to run through gorgeous architecture while the wind blows in our designer sleeves, too.

"Close To Me" is seemingly the beginning of a string of songs to come from the UK singer. She tweeted back in September that a fourth album may be imminent. Is this the lead single of our dreams? Remember the scene in Legally Blonde where Elle Woods, fresh off being dumped by dumb Warner, wallows in bed while scarfing chocolates? That's basically where Sabrina Carpenter's new "Sue Me" video picks up, complete with an all-pink color scheme and a tiny dog (only this time, it's a black pug instead of Elle's trusty chihuahua, Bruiser).

The Legally Blonde influence seeps into the entirety of Sabrina's playful vid, following the singer as she snaps out of her pity party (thanks in part to BFF Joey King), decks herself out in hot pink threads, and heads to a college campus to plot her domination. There's even a scene in a pool reminiscent of Elle's classic Harvard admission tape, and in an undeniably meta twist for a song called "Sue Me," Sabrina's newfound confidence eventually takes her to a literal courtroom.

There's no dramatic revelations about pool boys and perms, but there's plenty of swagger as Sabrina belts the bubbly hook: "So sue me for looking too pretty tonight / Wearing your favorite color under the lights / For moving on, doing everything right." This article originally appeared in MTV

Perhaps not satisfied with the Sasha Lane–starring Spotify visual for “Call Out My Name,” the Weeknd has released new music video for the My Dear Melancholy track. The vibe is still quite … melancholic: Abel Tesfaye walks alone down deserted streets or on deserted stages or in the deserted wilderness. Eventually, a creature with a woman’s body and a hawk’s beak delivers us through an Annihilation-style shimmer. It’s nothing particularly spectacular, but a fitting visual for Melancholy’s saddest breakup song. A highlight: the bats that, rather inexplicably, fly out of the Weeknd’s mouth

The French producer, who will be headlining Billboard's Hot 100 Fest this summer, poses as such a public servant in the music video for “Magenta Riddim.” Its melody features heavy Indian inspiration, so the clip takes place in India too.
