I ordered this Design Runner as a surprise gift for my mom. Well we were surprised all right! We expected it to be a portable handheld computer that you can design your own fonts (like journaling on the computer)Come to find out, it doesn't work that way unless you buy the extension pack for it which is another .00. Also it's difficult to get the thing to go in a straight line, and forget about doing turns with it-again only works that way if you order the extra add on packs. When we rcvd ours, the black ink cartridge that came with it did not work. My mom had to go out right away and buy another .00 ink cartridge just to get the machine to work. When we called the company about it, they were a major pain in the you know what. Customer service for Xyron is terrible. I was actually surprised at how bad they treated me on the phone, after staying on hold for 30 minutes, and going through four different customer service people. Finally a month later after complaining repeatedly they sent us a new ink cartridge. I said I was surprised with the lousy service, because I own a bunch of Xyron products, and I've never had a problem with any of them before this. I had a strong faith in the Xyron name. Well I guess they just produced a seriously bad lemon on the scrapbook market. Also-my mom has carpal tunnel in her wrist, and this machine is heavy, and difficult to push across the paper and hold the print button at the same time. The ink smeared and the font packs are expensive. I tried it over and over, thinking it was a user error on my part, and nope. The thing is just stinky. I could see how this item would make sense if you only used it for card making, but my mom and I are professional scrap bookers, and it is useless for a page bigger than 6x6. (Or greeting card size.) I personally don't have wrist problems, and the whole next day (after using this product for about 10 minutes the previous day), my wrist hurt. Over all I could not believe the expense of this product with all the add ons, and font packages, and carry case, not to mention the "special" ink cartridges you have to buy for it. Unfortunately I did not buy this item from Amazon, but from another on line scrapbook store, and the store owner, would not give me a refund after spending about 0.00 for the over all package. It's been six months and I haven't used it since we first got it, and I have no desire to ever pick it up ever again. Why put myself through the frustration all over again? I've been trying to unload it since I got it, and I can't send it back to the online store. None of my friends want to buy it from me, and for what I paid I would have to ask at least .00. Heck I can't even give this thing away! I hate myself for falling into the whole "I've never tried the product but it looks good from the website" deal. Bottom line-it's a piece of junk. Don't waist your time.-Stick with your at-home printer if you want to journal or title pages in a professional type-font. Item is sooo not worth the hassle. Maybe I can sell it on EBay, to some non-suspecting poor soul.

I acquired my Design Runner via a garage sale, so I only spent on the whole kit, including the accessory pack and a starter pack of ink and 2 discs. I am pretty disappointed with the whole thing, and am looking to sell it off on E Bay right now. In a nutshell, although it can begin printing where you want it if you line up the crosshairs (and read the directions, as some other posters have noted), there is still no way to end the line of print within the paper and not risk cutting off some of your printed images (if you use the repeat image command, not the single image command), which you would use for a border. The printer is hard to keep straight, although the straight edge ruler in the accessory kit does help in that regard. However, using the arc and italics tools from the accessory kit causes the image to be distorted and sometimes the ink smears. I have used this Design Runner on a couple of projects and had to make several practice runs on similar pieces of paper before I tried it on my scrapbook pages, and even then I wasn't happy. The only way I would consider using it again would be 1) as a single image, or 2) on a separate piece of paper, which I would cut out and glue to my page. It really isn't worth the bother, and I certainly wouldn't have bought it new! (I already sunk in worth of ink cartridges). Stay away from this!

I sent this back. Not worth the money. It doesn't start writing until halfway across the paper, and it isn't anything I couldn't do on my printer already. Not worth the investment.

I will admit that I had to change my review of this home theatre system. At first, I struggled mightily to connect the audio from Tivo Premier to flow through the Panasonic BTT195. Finally, I realized that I could use the Smart-Select feature on LG TV to auto-select the audio. Sounds easy enough, but it caused me a few hours of frustration.

Now on to the review-

Blu-Ray Player - I have been impressed with the functionality of the Panasonic 3D Blu-Ray player. This is the second one that I have owned, and I have found the functionality and capability to be excellent. The load times are not exceptional, but all of the features of the Blu Ray are very solid.

Home Theatre Capability - The sound of the system is acceptable, as long as you are not expecting to blow down any doors. The main unit is only about 1 1/2 thick, so it does not offer an assortment of large capacitors that can store energy for massive bass. The speakers have integrated and color coordinated plugs, so set-up can be accomplished by anyone (although getting correctly synced with a DVR is a bit of a different story). The power ratings on the unit look impressive, but keep in mind that it rating everything at 3Ohms.

Speakers - In truth, the speakers are not very impressive. All of the speakers combined weigh less than a decent subwoofer. I will say that they do match well together, and as a set they sound much better than they do individually.

Other things

- The speaker wires have integrated plugs - which means using other speakers can be a pain. This is especially true of the subwoofer since the speaker wire goes directly into the speaker box and does not connect through a terminal (My solution, when I used my own Velodyne subwoofer I simply cut the speaker wire about 3" before it entered into the Panasonic amp).

- Does offer iPod inputs and has the ability to read SD memory cards

- Comes with a plethora of well designed apps (it is amazing how many companies create a poor YouTube app!). Included are Amazon, Hulu Plus, MLB.TV, and Netflix

Final Verdict - The Panasonic BTT195 is a nice Blu Ray player that offers a decent home theatre system. While it may not offer the boom of more expensive systems, it is also a fraction of the cost. My opinion, if you are looking for earth shattering audio....keep on looking, but if you are looking a easy to use home theatre system at a reasonable cost this is certainly worthy of you consideration.

Got the system on Sat, way early then said and hooked it up and set up was a easy thing, like the sound, like the system went well with Panasonic tv and used it sunday night with a movie wow was it nice, may not be the most expensive but suits my needs.
Cons: dont like the fact that all speaker cords are pre wired and at lengths that may or may not be long enough. I have 2 of them that need to be about 10' longer but I guess will buy wire and splice.

Would I tell you to buy, yes I would I think its a good system thus far loads fast, no noise and is sleek looking. We put a music cd in and it puts out nice sound. I cant wait to hook up to internet and get Pandora and boom the basement.

I have been an audio phi for quite some time and I wanted to spend some time with this system before I wrote a review on it. I'm glad I did because now it is my pet system; I get a special joy out of using it. Let me explain. When I first took it out of the box and saw these gleaming piano black finish towers for a smaller reasonably priced all in one system it was noteworthy. Then I hooked it up. Looking back it is an easy setup; everything is color coded so you just plug the proper wire with the color coded end into the correct speaker. I was disappointed in that the front two towers had speaker wire that was only at best 8 to 10 feet each which gave you very little allowance for hiding the wires. That is not a serious problem at all since the wire ends are just bare wire and can be added onto very easily. I just thought with the cost of this thin wire they would have supplied a longer length than that. The other wires were plenty long.

At first I was going to hook it up to a large high def LCD monitor and couldn't get it to work. So I took it into the room with the 46" high def TV and it worked instantly. When I first turned it on to play it the sound was very nice. It was room filling but uneventful. So then I started tweaking and it made all the difference in the world. First you need to go into "Sound" on the convenient "Home" menu on your TV screen projected by the BTT195 and change it from the factory default of "Flat" to "Heavy". Flat is flat and that is what I was experiencing. However it is only fair to say that most people prefer flat. I want to get more excited than that. So once you set it to "Heavy" you see the typical inverted bell shaped curve with maxing the boost at both ends, the treble and bass, with a gradual slope down toward the center from both ends to flat in the middle. (Boosted mid's typically provide a boxy type of sound so it is best to leave them flat) This is all automatically set that way just by choosing "Heavy" in the sound menu onscreen.

Ok now we have boomy bass, and crispy highs although without a tweeter in any of the front towers instead they give you a full range speaker the highs are not as crispy as a more expensive system with dedicated tweeter speakers. However the highs are fine, and sound great depending on the quality of the original sound source. If it was mixed with crispy highs that is what you get, if it was an orchestra recording with distant microphone picking up the sound the highs are of course a bit more muted. Tweeters/combo speakers are in the center channel according to the literature but center channels are mixed mostly all for voice.

Since I like the maximum amount of boom in my bass I took the sub-woofer cabinet and played with positioning. It is amazing the difference positioning makes to a sub. You have to try it in the room you are going to use it in because there are many factors affecting positioning, but generally speaking if possible place the sub about a foot or two away from a corner, and swivel this side projecting sub speaker until you feel/hear the maximum bass. The towers should be aiming right at you since treble travels in straight lines. This system has adjustments for each of the speakers so you can balance the room. I took the sub and maxed out the gain for that as well, and that is probably why when I leave the room and have some music on I can hear it rocking the entire house. The bass is louder in the next room even more so than it is in the room the speakers are in. This thing rocks.

Installation tips: When assembling the base to the first section of speaker tower, loosen the 4 screws in the metal plate which makes aligning the 2 screws that hold the tower on a lot easier. If you don't do it that way you risk forcing the screw and stripping the thread. (This is a universal mechanical principle: Loosen, or start all screws first before tightening any one of them so alignment of each additional screw doesn't become an issue. After you get them all started then go back and tighten them all up) the job goes faster that way too.

My first impression was that this thing looks like a receiver but it is not. Then as I got my mind out of conventional old world receieverdom, I began to realize that yes it is. However it does only give you one HDMI input as well as some other types of inputs as well such as Optical Digital Audio Input which I hooked up right out the TV so the audio was in synch on playback, a single pair of RCA aux input jacks, as well as some strictly more modern features. For example you can access your network DLNA to connect to your Windows Media Player library. So if you have a zillion songs on a hard drive on a computer in your network you can access them and play them through the BTT195. In addition if you want to plug in a USB device (I tried the iPod shuffle and it worked great) as well as a USB external hard drive you can access your audio and video... Read more

My family owns at least 20 of these in varying sizes. They are great for the fridge as they organize photos, lists, schedules, etc. neatly on the fridge. They don't bump off or break like the rigid plastic frames do. Also the entire backing is magnetic. My 2 yr old loves to take them off and put them on the dishwasher. She arranges the family in any configuration. It is at least a 15 minute distraction. Priceless.

Do you use your refrigerator as a quasi bulletin board? If yes, this frame is great as it is large and holds a full-size sheet of paper. I bought some to use in the kitchen of Meals on Wheels, where we often use the large refrigeration unit to post things that the cooks, and volunteers, can easily see and read.

The frame is not rigid plastic - it is bendable, so be careful when inserting paper. And do keep the semi-rigid paper insert that comes with it; when I want to insert my own paper, I pull out that insert, place my paper on top and then insert both at the same time (otherwise it's a bit tricky to push a single sheet of regular paper down into the frame).

The frame adheres to the refrigerator very well and does not slide around at all.

Firstly, I purchased the white model of the Lumix ZS20 and I must say, it is beautiful! Secondly, the zoom is great. Thirdly, the features are great and the menu fairly easy to navigate. Before this camera I had a Lumix FX07 for about 5-6 years and loved it but it was about time to upgrade. Since I already trusted the quality of Panasonic cameras I figured I should look into what new models they had available. The ZS20 is one of their newest and already it had great reviews! I did more research and tested it in stores and fell in love with it. I can finally take macro shot photos, take artistic looking shots with the retro or toy settings. The panoramic does a fairly good job but I need to practice more with panning fast enough or something. I'm just excited that I finally can take panoramic shots again as most of the cameras out there require you to align the photos and do some kind of stitching thing. I was looking at the new Canon Powershot XS260HS and thought it was great and all until I checked out the panoramic setting and they still required me to align the previous photo to the next one so I could stitch them together! I couldn't believe they still have that. Plus their menu was annoying to navigate. One downside of the ZS20 is that to view the photos I have to turn the switch to the Playback mode. My old Lumix used to let me just press a button and view it right away.

As for focus, low light is sometimes okay and sometimes good and then sometimes bad. I obviously need to hold a little more still to avoid blurring. As for picking up light while in a dark room it does well. I tried the handheld night shot where it takes a couple frames and somehow makes it look better as one picture and that was pretty neat. I also took photos of the full moon the other night and it did a pretty good job. I could even see some awesome details.

As for what's included in the kit, I'm sad that they don't have any cases for this model here int he U.S. Japan has some to choose from and I've found those on Amazon.com, but their pricing pretty much starts from which of course is a bit too high...I might have to wait until it goes on sale. Instead in the mean time I found another decent case from Tamrac 5691 (http://www.amazon.com/Tamrac-5691-Black-Digital-Camera/dp/B00009X75L/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336450503&sr=8-1) Tamrac 5691 Black Digital 1 Camera Bag (Black)
It even has a shoulder strap which can be useful. So if you get the ZS20, it will fit well!

I have only had this camera for 3 days so I have yet to test it out completely. I look forward to testing the video out more. So far I can see that it focuses pretty well on the subject while filming. I may update later on my experiences...hopefully they will all be good. But I trust Panasonic!

I received my SX260 last Wednesday and have taken about 700 shots and a few quick 5 minute video. Without writing a novel, here are the high/low points of this unit. In addition to this unit, I also purchased a couple of aftermarket batteries (and after market A/C adapters for about .00 each) for about .00 each and the batteries work fine. With the battery (original and aftermarket) I was able to get over 300 shots (50% flash) with zooming and playback and the battery meter still showed about 25% charge remaining.

Pro's
Zoom - very long for a subcompact camera 20x optical, total 81x combined (yes 81 times!)
Image Stabilizer - Excellent (far superior than the DSC-HX9V); Even at 81x the picture did not come out of focus, but of course not as sharp. I think it's still acceptable
Scenes - A few scenes; I think the portrait, sepia, B/W works real well (the Portrait+ suppose to blur the picture a bit, but it's not to my liking) It has a few effects (fish eye, toy, miniature) that's very effective and can be fun for creative shots.
Auto Mode - was able to pick the correct type of scene almost all the time; it has an easy mode, and smart auto. Not sure why they have an easy mode, but the smart auto works great
Size/Weight - very compact and weigh's 8.2 oz. I would have prefer if the lens was flushed with the unit, but at 20x it may not have been possible
Uniformity - the unit does not feel cheap, and beautifully curved; no sharp jagged corners
Grip - the right side of the camera has a nice plastic strip for easier grip
Controls - Dial extremely easy to use with one hand. The other buttons, if you're a previous Canon user, it's a no brainer; the menu and setup are practically the same across all their models.
Screen - 3 inch TFT LCD screen very beautiful; nuff said
Processor - Didn't notice that much difference between the DIGIC 4/DIGIC 5, but compared to the DSC-HX9V, this camera is like a Ferrari.
GPS - Camera has it, but I never used it and probably won't; at least for the time being. Am more interested in a camera that takes excellent picture

Con's
Video - compared to the Sony DSC-HX9V this Canon comes in a distant second; if you plan on using this primarily as a video recorder, look elsewhere. I think Sony has excellent lens on their camera but their processing technology is clumsy, painfully slow and unacceptable; whereas with taking videos, the Sony does not do any processing (not to mention it captures at 60fps compared to Canon's 24/25 fps) This is one thing I will miss dearly.
Flash - not sure if there is a good place but I had to change my grip as the flash is on the top left corner. Couple of times, I had my left index finger on the flash and the camera gave some flash error message and had to power off and power on the camera to reset the flash.

If you're a casual or intermittent photographer (or a professional wanting an everyday point and shoot camera without carrying a luggage everywhere) that is interested in looking for a well refined point and shoot camera, yet has manual controls usually found on higher end DSLR (or higher end point and shoot camera), this is it!

UPDATE 04/14/2012 - I paid 9 and today I noticed it's selling for 9, a 15% price drop in less than a month! I thought cars depreciate quick ...

UPDATE 04/18/2012 - The Live Mode works great! For those hard shots (for example, taking indoor picture with fluorescent lighting and without a flash), you can view the screen and make the adjustment right then and there. You look at what you plan to take, compare it to the SX260 LCD screen and press the shutter button.

I am an experienced amateur photographer and I've owned many cameras over the past 40 years. I've had some photos published but photography has always been strictly a hobby, though a serious one. I shoot with a Canon 7D, Rebel backup, various 'L' lenses, and I also use an Olympus E-P1 occasionally as well as a Canon S90 and Powershot 1100S (kept in my glovebox for 'emergencies.' I enjoy taking pictures.

I also enjoy traveling and have traveled around the states as well as visited many foreign countries. I'm sure I echo the frustrations of every photographer out there when I say that choosing which photo equipment to take on a vacation is the most agonizing process in planning a trip.

Let me share two experiences--one pleasant, another frustrating. In 2003, I visited New Zealand and took one of Canon's first digital Powershots. It was very small, fit in my pocket, and I could easily whip it out for quick photos. Even though the pictures were not pristine SLR quality, it was easy and fun using that camera and I still enjoy viewing those photos today. I had a pleasant and memorable trip. Second experience: a 10-day tour of China in 2007. I took a DSLR and 3 lenses as well as an HD camcorder, all in the same shoulder bag. It turned out to be total frustration. Instead of being able to enjoy the moment of seeing all that glorious ancient history and the people of China, I was overly concerned with 'getting the shot' -- all the time. Also, HD video was new in those days and I thought I could record the 'trip of a lifetime' with the latest technology. But switching between video and still photography simply added to my frustration. Although I got quite a few good pictures and videos, I did not enjoy that trip as much as I should have because I let my photo-taking desires get in the way of my vacation needs and cultural immersion. As a matter of fact, my wife used a point-and-shoot to get some great candid photos of people and children that totally outshone my efforts.

OK, fast forward to 2012. Like so many other photographers out there, when traveling I need a camera that's pocketable but can do everything. Impossible. It doesn't exist. But I remember the lessons learned from the experiences described above. Concessions must be made. With experience, I've learned what is a necessity, and what 'would be nice to have' when traveling. I have concluded that for me, a camera that takes 'very good' pictures, that is small and lightweight, is a NECESSITY. Anything else would be 'nice to have' but is not worth the enormous hassle.

I've had the Powershot SX260 HS for about a week now and I think I may have found the camera that will adequately meet my travel needs. I've shot a couple hundred photos and I'm surprised at the results. They are sharp, contrasty, colorful, noiseless, and good enough to use as desktop pictures on my 24-inch monitor without editing. The 20x lens is coupled to a shake-free technology that is very, very good. It's pocketable and has easy to use buttons that are logically placed. Canon has done their homework in finding the right balance between sharpness and noise, as far as I am concerned. Although it doesn't shoot RAW (that's a debate for another time), I am very happy with the JPEGs and I use the included highlight-taming technology built in to the camera and it works very well.

What I like:
1) Pocketable. Pocketable. Did I say pocketable?
2) Turns on quickly to get the shot.
3) 20x lens -- 25mm to 500mm. The 25mm shots are corrected internally for distortion and the 500mm shots are sharp thanks to the IS technology.
4) Very good noise control -- I haven't tested it at 1600 or 3200 but several other review sites reveal surprising, low noise photos at those ISO levels.
5) My copy is very sharp -- no need to sharpen the photos it produces.
6) Color accuracy is on par with my Olympus E-P1, which I consider to be the paragon of color accuracy.
7) Full manual when desired.
8) Takes very good HD video -- though that doesn't interest me so much these days. IS corrects for camera shake in video mode and zooming works well.

What I don't like:
Nothing yet, though I will update this review if anything comes up.

Does this camera take pictures comparable to my 7D? No. My E-P1? Very close. My S90? Superior to the S90 in my view.
The 20x zooming feature of this camera can't be overstated -- it's wonderful.

So many reviewers nitpick about technical matters. Sure, I could do that with any camera, including this one. But the point is--what need does the camera serve? All I know is this: If this camera had existed at the time, the SX260 would be the camera I would have taken to China.

Highly recommended.

Canon SX260 HS: I'm happy to say that I was one of the first people to buy this camera. I bought it from one of the sellers on Amazon Marketplace, before it was officially released (it wasn't even available on amazon.com itself when I bought it).

It's a good camera & quality clear pictures, with a clear & sharp LCD screen.

The camera has the option of changing the aspect ratio for the pictures; you could choose from 16:9, 4:3, 3:2 & 1:1. You could also change the amount of recording pixels from L, M1, M2 & S. In auto mode, it has many predefined scenes. The camera could also be set to various scene modes, including portrait, Smooth skin, smart shutter, High-speed Burst HQ, Handheld night scene, low light, underwater, snow, fireworks, discreet & stitch assist. It does not have the scene modes for Kids & pets, foliage or beach, which other Canon powershot cameras have, but I don't think that would make a big difference, as it takes great pictures anyway. It also has creative filters which I haven't yet used, including fish-eye effect, miniature effect, toy camera effect, soft focus, monochrome, super vivid, poster effect, color accent & color swap. It has the movie digest feature & face ID. It also features continuous shooting.

In manual mode, there are many different options, including setting the ISO speed (speeds available: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 & 3200), flash output, changing the compression between fine & superfine (superfine is not available in Auto mode, but is available in P mode), white balance (settings available: auto, daylight, cloudy, tungsten, fluorescent, fluorescent H, underwater & custom), my colors (including: vivid, neutral, sepia, B/W, film, lighter & darker skin tone, vivid blue, vivid green, vivid red & custom) & light metering. Manual mode has the option to have the flash forced on (forced flash is not available in auto mode, but is available in P mode). You can also set the shutter speed anywhere between 1/3200 of a second & 15 seconds (with speeds slower than 1.3 seconds, ISO speed is set at 100). Aperture value could be set anywhere between f/3.5 & f/8.0, but it also depends on the zoom position (with maximum zoom, aperture value could be set either at f/6.8 or at f/8.0).

There is also a P mode, where various functions can be set. (Many of the options available in manaual mode are available in P mode also, including forced flash). I'm not here to describe every detail of the camera, as there are many more functions available as well (including setting the focus & exposure, plus some more that I haven't yet figured out), but for those that would like to know everything prior to buying the camera, they could go to Canon's website - [...] (find the camera, click on brochures & manuals) & download the complete user guide.

Movies: Good quality with very clear sound. Optical zoom could be used for movies (& the sound of the zoom during the movie is extremely faint, not like some of the previous canon powershots). Options available are: Full HD (1920 x 1080, 24 fps), HD (1280 x 720, 30 fps) & VGA (640 x 480, 30 fps). Maximum clip length is approx 30 minutes for Full HD & HD, & approx an hour for VGA (or until the memory card is full). Movie format is .MOV. It also has iFrame (1280 x 720), & super slow motion (640 x 480, 120 fps, or 320 x 240, 240 fps). Please note since the primary function of this camera is for stills (as this is not a camcorder), therefore when you shoot a movie, it uses quite a lot of memory & the files will be very big. On an 8GB memory card: Full HD will be approx 30 minutes, HD - approx 42 minutes & VGA - approx 1 hour & 28 minutes, whereas on a camcorder, for the same amount of memory, the shooting time could be much longer, even in HD. But for shooting small clips here & there, it's very good.

Zoom: zoom is very good - 20x zoom. It zooms quickly. Wide angle is 25mm which is very good & for some pictures you might want to zoom in a bit; otherwise it might be a bit too wide. In full maximum zoom, you may want to use a tripod; otherwise it might take some time to focus (but you could get good pictures even without a tripod). I found that in full maximum zoom (indoors), auto mode might not get the right ISO speeds etc. & you might need to use some manual settings, but that shouldn't be a big problem (plus you don't have to always use the full maximum zoom).

Playback: It has some cool features for playback, including giving you various transitions between pictures (fade, slide or scroll), or watch them in a slide show on the camera. Erasing pictures is very easy; you do not need to go into the menu to erase pictures. You could also organize pictures in categories, or set-up a photo book. It has red-eye correction in shooting mode & in playback. You can also trim pictures or resize them in playback.

I bought this game for myself after I bought an Xbox 360 Kinect for my son. I am a 47 year old male, and I lead an entirely sedentary lifestyle -- I sit in front of a computer all day at work, then come home and sit in front of a computer all evening doing Web programming and digital photography. I have always suffered from a sore back and often-sore muscles from my poor fitness. I am not exactly the type to go to a gym and be intimidated by all the muscle guys and muscle women, so I decided to get this game to try to get myself moving.

I can say that Your Shape has been successful at getting me moving again. It's a lot of fun, and there's a large variety of exercises to choose from. I started with the exercies disguised as gym games, which for us sedentary types is a good and fun way to start moving again. I then ventured to the Personal Training mode, and started following a routine for cardio and toning.

There are several things I like about Your Shape (besides being able to exercise in my own home). First, the games and exercises vary from very easy and good for beginners, to very advanced for people in good shape (most of which I haven't tried yet). Second, there is a wide variety of games and exercies to choose from at each level. Third, I like how it tracks your progress over time (by way of total calories burned, and by way of which levels you have passed and which levels you have unlocked by mastering easier levels). Fourth, it does a pretty good job of making sure you are doing the exercises correctly (or at least not horribly incorrectly) by virtue of the Kinect. And lastly, the graphics are pretty nice and clean.

I gave it 4 stars overall instead of 5 for fairly minor issues. One, it's not as easy as I would like to get back to exactly where I stopped the last time I played. For example, I would like the ability for it to return directly to the exact point in my Personal Training session where I last left off. Also, I have noticed that a small fraction of the exercises fail to recognize when I am in synch with the trainer, even though I am as in synch as humanly possible. This makes me do more repetitions, because it won't count my out-of-synch reps as valid. Maybe that's a sneaky way to make me exercise more?

Overall, I'm very happy with Your Shape, and can recommend it, at least for people like me with previously low levels of activity. It may be great for much more advanced fitness buffs too, but that I cannot attest to. I can tell you that after my daily 40 minute evening sessions, I definitely feel like I got some serious exercise, and my tired muscles the next morning are a constant (but good) reminder that my body is indeed getting a workout. By the way, a good addition to this game is a pair of 5-lb weights (or some spare water bottles), which give you a little more of a workout if you use them while playing some of the fitness routines and games. This tip came from the game itself, and I concur.

I was ready to be very skeptical of the Kinect and motion tracking in general (concerned about lag and accuracy). After playing this for 45 minutes this morning, I was very happy with it. I have used EA Sports Active and More Workouts on the Wii for the past year and have gotten in much better shape with it, but having to hold the controllers and the leg strap gets in the way for me. I was hoping that with this I would be able to consign the controllers to the dust bin of history and so far so good!

I did the initial training, some of the toning exercises, and the first Zen class and can report that everything worked beautifully. And it kicked my butt today, so the intensity is definitely there. I like the feedback given by the motion detection - much more immediate and accurate than the Wii controllers seemed to be. As you move you see your image on screen moving and if there is any lag I don't see it. Doing the lunges for instance, it told me I was getting out of rhythm and was not doing the lunges completely. Using the onscreen trainer and my feedback I was able to correct quickly and see that if I dropped my knees a little bit more the onscreen trainer was happy with what I was doing.

I haven't gone very deep into the program, as I said before, but the range of exercises and number of different programs seems to put it will ahead of the Wii games I have played, and I have to admit I was getting VERY bored with the other programs, so also very glad to have something different to use.

Awesome game! I burned 500 calories the first night of playing on it!

I can't see myself breaking a sweat restricted to a Wii fitness board or while holding any foreign objects in my hand. This game seems to be a lot different from the competitors. Nothing in your hands to drop and real workouts from Women's Health and Men's Health magazines.

This game, using the Kinect sensor watches you like a hawk. Which makes it sound like it is going to scream at you for every little mistake, but it is for your own good to improve your workout. Their is no frustration when using the Kinect sensor. The Kinect sensor is accurate about 99% of the time and tracks much better than my experiences with the Wii. (losses 1% because you have to be near the center of the play space before exercises or you'll end up moving arms and legs out)

It is constantly watching your form during exercises and verbally telling you how to correct your form to get the most out of it. It even tells you what exercises you need to work on to correct your form and what exercises you have the best form in. It tracks calories burned over time and builds workout routines custom to your individual fitness goals.

It is the first exercise game I know of that a die hard fitness magazine will get behind and improve with their own input. Do you think any other consoles are going to have fitness industry backed games? Enough said...

(I don't consider "The Biggest Loser" in the fitness industry due to the fact that they are a TV show. Do you think they really want you off the couch and not watching their show?)

I'm in no way connected to Ubisoft or Microsoft. I'm actually a die hard FPS fan (MW2, BF:BC2, and soon Black Ops) who just wanted a little extra energy from an in home workout routine. Yes I could do this without the game, but the game makes sure I do the exercises right and doesn't let me cheat on them. I'm shooting for the 10,000 calorie burned achievement in the first month.

I try to keep up writing reviews for products I buy, especially the items that I myself do a lot of research on, before buying. So I'll break this down as best I can. I live in a 2-story, 2800 square foot home. And for the longest time, I've wanted a surveillance system to make me feel safe both when I am at home and away. The Logitech camera system and software does it right, with only a few minor issues, and I stress minor.

I have an Apple router but run Windows 7 on my PC; I'm also using the free application on my iPhone. I had zero problems with the software install, even when it came to Window's firewall. I'm currently running 2 indoor cameras and 1 outdoor camera...but, I actually plan on using nothing but outdoor cameras for my entire system (to include for inside surveillance). And that's about the only real issue I have with the system. The indoor camera works awesome and does what it should. It delivers good quality color video and even over the iPhone application or over the web (from Logitech's website), all of my friends all have said, "Wow, that looks awesome!" BUT, and it's a big BUT, once the sun goes down, the indoor cameras are very limited. Shy of the bad guy turning on all of the lights in my house, then committing his crime, the indoor camera is of little use during nighttime hours. And at first, I was okay with that because I'm home at night and it's actually the daytime when nobody is home. But then I bought the outdoor Logitech camera and WOW, what a difference because it holds the very same quality as the indoor camera, but also does a phenomenal job at night. So with that, I'm going to return the indoor cameras and use the outdoor cameras for outside as well as inside. But I still want to give my review on the indoor camera as I've been using it for about a month now.

Pros:

Color Quality. Again, great color quality. Even using the digital zoom, I was impressed at how good it looks. My wife being the glass half empty type of person commented that you can't see the face of the person all that well. But my reply was - but you can sure as heck see his race, clothing description, weight, height, hair color and most importantly you can see if he is or isn't wearing gloves...hence, you could see clearly where he may have left evidence (fingerprints, DNA, etc).

Included 2GB media card. This is a great feature!! This means that if bad guy breaks in and thinks he's outsmarting you by stealing your computer (with the footage of him), you can still revert back to the camera itself to retrieve the footage saved to the media card. Another great thing about the camera media card is that your home computer does not need to be always on to be recording. For example, my computer goes into sleep mode after about an hour of inactivity. So if my computer is in hibernate mode for a full day, the cameras are still recording footage and will sync to my computer when it awakes. For it to work seamless, I just leave the Logitech software running in the task bar (background).

Software. Logitech did it right with the software. It was a very easy install, features are clear and I love that you can customize each camera you have on your network. For example, out of the 3 cameras I have, I only want 1 of them to send off text message alerts. Again, it's nice that the alerts are not just a system feature, but rather an individual camera setting. You can also adjust the duration of alerts to save yourself from getting thousand texts. For me, a 5 minute window is perfect, just as long as I get the initial text, I wouldn't be concerned about getting 20 more in under a 5 minute or however long of a window you choose. I also like the way the software saves all of the recorded video. With 3 cameras going, I've been getting a lot of recorded footage. The software not only allows you to use choose a given date and time to research, but if you were to search out for that file in Windows explorer, the software does a great job by saving the footage under the name of camera (for example "Living Room"), then the month (10 for October), then the day within that month. Being a police officer, I really like that if I had to turn over crucial footage (if my home was burglarized, etc), all of the footage would have clear a folder structure and time stamp that would make sense to any other investigating officer.

Alerts. This feature sealed the deal for me buying this system to begin with. You select a zone in which if motion occurs, an alert will be sent. For example, although my camera has a pretty wide shot of my living room to include front door, my only concern is if movement is picked up at the front door. Once motion is detected, a text message is sent to my phone. The alert text message is awesome; it says what camera picked up what motion and at what date and time...simple and efficient. I purchased this camera system, six cameras total, two at a time, until I was somewhat basically satisfied with them. Today, I'm at about 80% satisfaction rating but the first few weeks were pretty brutal. It's a bit of a learning curve figuring out how this system works because it uses POE (power over ethernet) connects and if you run your vacuum cleaner or carpet shampoo machine, well, some of the cameras get confused and bug out. Some will come back on after you are done, some may not. And they definitely don't like power outages: during one ice storm here, the power flickered on and off multiple times - the cameras went out, would not come back on and ultimately I had to wait til the event was over and then unplug and replug every unit (some of which were not very convenient to reach in 10 degree weather, I might add). In other power failures, where the power simply goes out and stays out, they have all managed to recover on their own (after the new update which may have improved that problem.) Flickering power is not good however.

The micro-SD cards are a royal pain - and should NEVER have been mounted in the camera itself - way too inconvenient to reach if you mount them "out of reach" from others (most of us would, right?) Whoever thought that up was not an end-user, that's for sure. They should be in the power supply, which hopefully would be easier to reach and certainly easier to work on (these are very tiny cards.) I see their purpose and that's great BUT perhaps a standard card would have been smarter and easier to work with.

The software is not ready for prime time at all - again, whoever designed this software has apparently no experience with security camera systems. YES, the software looks nice and the clarity (daytime) is pretty awesome compared to most systems but this is not most systems - in fact it costs about double or even triple what most of the standard run of the mill systems costs, so I would expect better clarity. And night vision, well, it's pitiful - like looking at reverse negatives and no adjustments can be made whatsoever - all automatic. And the frame rate drops from about 15 to 5 (if you are lucky) - making movements all "run" together on playback or live. Almost worthless.

Support is not good - you can learn more on the forums from others (who are mostly complaining about Logitech support!) than calling Logitech. I know more about these cameras than most Logitech support personnel, who seem clueless and to be reading from a check list. And don't waste your time asking for Tier 2 support - they will NEVER call you back; apparently the sport at Logitech ALERT Support(separate support, not like most Logitech support, which is typically great!) is to hide behind the support forum and private message people with "pat" answers - ignoring the question - I actually had 5 exchanges with a Tier 2 person asking me question after question that was PREVIOUSLY ADDRESSED IN GREAT DETAIL IN THE FIRST EMAIL - so that proves they don't even read the question. Simply amazing.

All in all, these cameras COULD be great - they are sleek looking, sharp in design, with good weight and balance; they mount easily (but the mounts are nothing impressive) and have some nice features (like ability to turn off motion lights) and wide panoramic field of view (Zoom is a joke though, you lose so much clarity with digital zoom it's all but worthless.)

There are literally hundreds of people who have purchased these cameras asking for the most basic of basic features that come standard with most security systems, such as a scheduler, better motion sensitivity controls, better night vision (and controls); ability to manually record (nope, you cannot decide what or when to records, MOTION is the only way these cameras will record - no motion, no recording.) No motion indicator so you even know when or if they are indeed recording. Ridiculous.

Before you buy these cameras, read the threads carefully on Logitech.com under their Alert system - I do believe that Logitech is working on some serious updates and improvements - their first update to Commander software was fairly pathetic, but they are promising some BIG enhancements (long overdue) with the next release (March? who knows, they won't say more than "soon") - if they do incorporate some of the needed improvements everyone is asking for, these cameras could/would be SUPER DUPER. But right now, they're expensive, pretty to look at and while they do offer HD quality (again, daytime only and not in zoom mode) they are also somewhat unreliable (some cameras trail several minutes and refuse to catch up to "LIVE" - also very annoying). Logitech needs to get their act together - but based on most comments from former WiLife users (previous generation) this system's SOFTWARE is not as sophisticated as their earlier system (but the cameras are MUCH better.) From the moment I opened the box the Logitech Alert 750e Outdoor Master Security System with Night Vision was very easy to understand and had great setup diagrams with color coded ribbons for stress free setup. Where I was mounting the unit 20 feet off the ground I connected everything in the house and tested it to make sure it was working first. Once the camera was mounted in place I simply adjusted it to the area I wanted to monitor and then used electrical tape around the mount joints as they are not as tight as I would have expected and I did not want to have to climb a ladder after every wind storm to adjust. Setup was very quick after installing the mounting bracket.

It should be noted the the ribbon (power) cable that connects to the outdoor camera is so flat and thin that you can bring it in through a window without compromising the window seal when the window is fully closed. This is a huge plus as I did not need to drill a hole for it.

I set up email alerts and also I highly recommend if you have some blowing tree branches in view as I do that you set up particular areas for movement detections. If you do this and set the motion rate for recording you will capture only scenes of interest which makes it so much easier when reviewing recordings.

The master system comes with the network hardware and the invaluable command center. This is extremely easy to navigate. You can zoom, pan and tilt effortlessly. I am thinking of adding this software for remote viewing as well.

The night vision is suprisinging very very good in low to know light. I am extremely impressed with the night vision and have to say that it is well worth the extra money.

The only drawback I can see to this system is that if you enable and use the audio component which comes built in and has great range, picks up way to much wind. I would like to see an add on for wind noise reduction. This would not keep me from highly recommending this product. I did a lot and I mean a lot of research (hands on and reading) before making my decision to purchase this camera and I am very glad I did.

I highly recommend this product! Picture is extremely clear not washy like others. The audio is good enough to capture voices and sounds with in the entire viewing areas and sometimes beyond.

I was not able to figure out how to upload a few pictures with this review otherwise I would have.

Thank you Logitech for a superb and well built system that seems to have it all.

I was having a hard time trying to figure out what kind of cables do I need to connect my laptop to my monitors. Laptop, as you know, generally has a 3.5mm TRS out. My monitors, on the other hand, have a 1/4" TRS input. After researching a bit on the internet, I found these cables. The cable length helps me place my monitors at a decent distance from each other (and I can have them at an elevation too!). These cables are serving the purpose pretty well. I am satisfied with this product.

It takes a stereo audio signal from a 3.5mm (1/8") and splits them into individual mono signals. One for the right channel (labeled appropriately as "Tip") and one for the left ("Ring").

The build quality as absolutely fantastic for the price. Forget about Monster Cable. These are solid, very well built and work incredibly well for a fraction of the price.

I currently have this connecting my computer to my M-Audio Studiophile AV40s and they're absolutely fantastic.

I like Scott's first two volumes. But this one is lost in repetition, filler and useless information. I am not sure what kind of photographers' author is trying to target, typically it should be advanced photographers as it is 3rd volume. Some reviewers mentioned that it's good for beginners but I don't think so it contained some advance info and some very basic stuff and it also keep referring to 1st and 2nd volumes.

Good:
If you are product photographer then you have got some information in this book.

Bad:
Repetition Topics: A few examples...
1. Sharpest Aperture: We already discussed this in first two books and same info is shared as topic.
2. Wake up early in the morning.
3. Most of topics in Sports are already covered.
4. As usual screen shot of B&H Photo-Video site which is not relevant to that topic. Ohh wait! This time it's different page not homepage. Why do we require this site's pictures while author is trying to explain myth about card speed.

Filler: This is interesting. A few examples, these points are covered as full page topic in book.
1. There is separate whole topic on how to change lens. (May be in Vol-4, Scott will cover how to properly charge/install battery)
2. How to clean lenses.
3. Shortcut for formatting memory card.
4. Resetting camera setting.
Come on! These topics are covered in detail in operating manuals of every DSLR/Lens.
5. As usual too much advertising of websites and expensive gears.

I was expecting real professional info/tips and going beyond volumes 1 and 2, not the same information/filler. This book is certainly not for me. If you really want to get some interesting tips, you may want to check out `Understanding Exposure:...' by Bryan Peterson.

Five Star With Reservations - The Good, Bad & Repeat Info., July 29, 2009

Okay, first a couple of quick disclaimers...
1. I'm a huge Kelby fan and think his prior two volumes are both fun to read and packed full of great information.
2. I like the biggest "bang for my buck".
3. I'm not a pro and not a complete amateur either but fall somewhere in between. If I find it too simplistic, professionals and serious shutterbugs are likely to be very disappointed. If I find it too complex, novice readers are likely to do so as well. That might provide a good measure as to whether this book is right for you or not.

Now, on to the actual book itself. Like many others, I ordered this on a pre-release status and anxiously awaited the delivery at which point I consumed the entire book quickly at one sitting. Readers of Kelby's other books will recognize the same friendly style, conversational tone and jokes.

For those that are wondering if Kelby can really "do it again"...the answer is a resounding - "sort of". Here's Why...

First, the Basics and the Bad....

This book is of the same general length and writing style as the two prior books however, prior readers will immediately recognize some of the content used as "filler" or a bit of "fluff" here and there. For example, one of the pages/tips is dedicated to "cleaning" the item before shooting, another instructs to "remove distracting elements" from the picture...duh! Does that really constitute a tip? I think not. Likewise, there are several more tips dedicated to how to use your camera (Canon and Nikon users) for things like dust cleaning or turning off the beep...personally speaking, if I wanted that information I would simply read my owners manual.

Other less than impressive tips included using a tripod for tack sharp product shots plus some information that is basically a repurpose of content from prior books such as which essential filters to purchase or to use a neutral density filter. It is also somewhat disappointing to see that some tips consist of nothing more than 1 very short paragraph or as little as 1-2 sentences in their entirity.

Finally, the chapter on how to select the right lens is perfect for those seeking to purchase a DSLR or new to buying but most experienced users will find this a bit too simplistic for an entire chapter. Essentially it describes each lens type (ie, zoom, macro, fisheye, etc...) then when to use each. It also includes how to clean your lens, how and why to use manual focus, the difference between prime vs zoom etc...

The Good...

Having said all of the above, I still rate the book highly due to the engaging and readable format, excellent examples... and of course, what we all come here for...the actual tips. There are some good ones scattered throughout that more experienced users will likely appreciate - although far fewer than in prior books. Overall, this book seemed more introductory in nature than the other two volume's; still, there are plenty of great reminders and always some true golden nuggets that make all the difference like getting creative with the white balance, how to get that star effect without a filter (there - you saved the cost of this entire book plus never have to hassle with that filter again just by reading that page alone!, how to create those great reflections so popular in product shots plus much more.

Bottom Line...

Good book and well worth the low price tag. Best suited for beginners but serious shutterbugs are still likely to find a few gems. Not quite up to the same standard as the first two volume's but perhaps the most useful of all three for complete novice users or those currently shopping for a camera/lens etc...

Targeted more for the general user (for example, Lensbaby coverage) rather than pro or serious camera buff but everyone is likely to find something they like that make the purchase price and time well worth the effort.

HIGHLY recommend for new users or those purchasing a new camera/lens etc...

I thoroughly enjoyed the first in the series. The second book was even better. But, the third book seemed a bit forced.

The author's goal of building upon each book was true in some sections. But, an entire chapter dedicated to lenses in the third volume was definitely something that seemed beneath me. The section on product photography was also 20 or so pages telling the same story. How to format a memory card, the importance of firmware updates, etc. all seem like Volume 1 material, not Volume 3.

There are many different times in the book that Scott Kelby references his website for more information, which makes me wonder if this book was more of a vehicle for his website. Why not just include the information in the book instead of making me put a book down and going off to some URL.

That said, the entire 3 part series are still a wonderful selection, and on their own make you an expert in any type of situation. I'm sure the author, if he knew that these books would be so succesful, would have indexed them differently. But, I already felt like an expert after volume 2, and felt like I didn't learn very much from volume 3.

This triple IR emitter (Next Generation 3-EYE Triple IR Mouse Emitter) solves the only problem I had with the Next Generation remote extender (Next Generation Remote Control Extender) -- positioning it where it could control all my stereo and TV components and keeping it aimed properly. The extender now lives very happily behind the TV. In the future I may want to control another component or two, so I expect to connect another single or triple emitter to the extender using a Y cable. I do not expect any problems with this, since Next Generation also makes a 6-eye emitter that works with the extender.

Had the "closed door" remote system working within 5 minutes for both the DVD/sound system and the DVR/Cable boxes. I purchased the cable that splits the IR three ways from one receiver (3-EYE Infrared Remote Control Extender Emitter Cable), the "Next Generation Remote Control Extender" along with an extra rf transmitter that fits into the remotes. This was necessary as I use two remotes which controls two different boxes under the cabinets behind the closed doors. The entire system setup works perfectly.

Everyone that sees the picture this projector gives wants one. You'd expect to pay much more for this quality. The picture still looks great with the lights on and blinds open. Given the adjustability of the projector and the abilty to handle ambient light, this will work in a lot of homes other projectors might not be right for. And it looks great even on an inexpensive screen (Da-Lite HD Model B).

The only negative thing is I know about right now is that with all projectors including the new dlp rear projector tvs is that the bulb has to be replaced every 2000 or so hours and they cost over 0 to replace. I just got my projector, so I don't know if the bulb will last its advertised lenght.

I'd be surprised if you weren't wowed by this projector.

UPDATE:
I have had problems with this projector. Already on my second one and am getting ready to send it away for more work.

Seems to be a reliability problem. The projector shuts off automatically after I turn it on..forcing me to wait 5 minutes to turn it back on. Also, and much worse, the projected image is starting to go blank every 5 minutes and the imput options appear..very annoying and you may miss key parts of whatewver you are watching.

Now, still under warranty, Panasonic is making me pay to ship the unit to Kansas(I'm in California) where they will work on it and say they will have it back to me in 7-10 days.

If you still want to buy this after reading this, make sure you get a good warranty.

My rating now would be much lower than 5 stars if Amazon would let me change it(they won't)

Second Update: Well my Iris has broken again! And now it is out of warranty! This is the third time I have had to return this product for repair! I think there should be a class action suit against these guys for not recalling a product that almost everyone is reporting problems with...will never buy a Panasonic product again.

PANASONIC'S REPAIR FACILITY CAME THROUGH WITH FLYING COLORS....AND the AX100U is still, "TOP OF THE LINE!"

The AX100U received a Firmware upgrade and installation of latest IRIS module.
These repairs even appear to have solved a couple of minor issues that I had overlooked because this projector excels in so many other ways.

To sum up: The AX100U continues to amaze and delight with its superior performance.

Kudos to the KS Repair facility; they treated my "baby" lovingly and it arrived back to me, TRIPLE BOXED. (original double box plus LARGE well cushioned third.)

UPDATED NOVEMBER 18,2007

This is my review after TEN months and approximately 400 hours using the AX100U.

About two weeks ago my AX100U display began cycling on and off whenever connected to my satellite receiver's HDMI output. However, it worked fine on the receiver's other outputs.

HDMI input continues to display properly when connected to DVD player. P.C. input also displays normally.

When the problem first manifested itself, my first thought was a bad cable which turned out to be unfounded.

Next, I contacted the satellite company and they rushed a replacement receiver. What an embarrassment! Same problem again.

Then I did what I should have done at the beginning, call Panasonic customer service.

When I asked the rep. if they had had this problem before, he answered in the affirmative.

He promised to call me back today with all details, but failed to do so.

Called back this evening and the female rep. told me there was a recall on the AX100U. She said there is a n Iris problem in the lens, and will call me back Monday morning with details and a chat with a service person.

Hope my breath holds out until then.

My recommendation for this fine product still holds, unless there is a foul up with customer service and repair of the projector.

It seems only fair that Panasonic should bear the round trip shipping cost since the problem appears to be the result of an engineering error.

One more thing: With all the rough handling during the shipping process, it makes you wonder how many hours of lamp life remain when the unit is finally back in service

If you decide to purchase the AX100U, number one on your agenda should be to make sure you have a late model DVD player with Up Conversion capabilities. This is usually signified by a HDMI jack on the rear panel. Then you will be able to enjoy the full capabilities of your new Video Projector. Also make sure your Cable or Satellite installation has HDMI output as well. Of course the AX100U also has S-video in, Video in, PC (RGB) in, Component in, Serial in, which make it even more flexible for nearly any Home Theater requirement.

The Panasonic AX100U is absolute perfection which truly sums up this masterpiece of video technology.

My installation utilizes nothing more than an off-white wall for viewing, and the projector light source is set at reduced output for longer bulb life. It is hard to see where anything might be gained from the addition of a standard screen unless you are a strict perfectionist.

It is difficult to see how Blu-ray or HD can improve on the superb picture quality from standard DVDs when viewed on this elegant machine.

Even in ambient light during the day, the AX100U delivers outstanding color and detail.

Add to that the beautiful rendition of HD programming, particularly when watching HBO shows such as, Entourage and Big Love! It can be truly mesmerizing!

It is equally important to note that standard TV fare come alive once you familiarize yourself with the multitude of settings available from the well laid out menu. Satellite and digital cable display with pleasing results.

The sleek lighted remote is handy and adequate for all your requirements.

In my opinion, no dedicated LCD, Plasma, or DLP Television set can come close to delivering the kind of picture that makes every viewing on the AX100U the equivalent of a World Premiere.

Did a ton of research before buying. Could not find all the features I wanted, so I waited. (Went from 52" RCA rear projection tv to 92" projector.) Glad I did, this unit does a great job in a room with ambient light. I recommend getting a light gray screen rather than white or just using the wall for improved contrast. Excellent quality, quiet, great picture. Remember, the screen is only half the experience, don't skimp on sound!

I bought this camera after returning the fifty-dollar plastic 'indoor' model with audio. This unit feels VERY solidly built and performs great. The night vision is clear and bright at greater than 20 feet. The picture is sharp and accurate (though I lose a lot of quality going through my Q-See MPEG capture card). The wide field of vision is excellent (there is a bit of 'fish-eye', but I don't know how you'd avoid that with a nearly 90 degree range). These do not look ridiculous or obvious mounted to my home. One camera covers about 80% of my backyard and another mounted above my front door monitors guests, delivery personnel, solicitors, and occasionally nocturnal predators (lots of geckos in Florida.) I highly recommend this camera, particularly for domestic applications where appearance might be a concern. BEAR IN MIND; this unit did NOT include power or cabling. If you are planning more than one camera I strongly recommend purchasing an AC adapter intended for 4 or 8 units, vs getting a module for each device.

I purchased two of these cameras and it is in great condition and the price was amazing. I had been searching for a dome camera and this one had everything I could ask for. The camera has great durability and it is sturdy. The camera is also very nice for domestic areas because they don't look very obvious mounted on buildings outside. No complaints here!!

This is a very good camera for the price. I bought two of these to replace older black and white cameras that got damaged in a thunderstorm. The performance in total darkness is excellent. However, to get good color, the scene must be brightly lit, otherwise the IR diodes stay "on" and the colors are washed out. There is also a tendency to white compression on both of my samples under certain lighting conditions, this is why I gave this product only 4 stars. However this camera is adequate as a fixed security camera.

I bought this after having a bad experience with the Amped line of extenders. This repeater was a breeze to setup, even the advanced functions. There wasn't a need to take a computer and reconfigure it to do the initial setup, right out of the box all I had to do was connect my laptop to it's temporary wifi ssd and reconfigure it from there using a simple step by step setup. I really like the fast lane technology where you can have it communicate on one band to your router and one band to your devices. Doing this increased my repeat speed by 300%. I live in an apartment building and can see over 20 wifi networks from my normal operating area, using the fast lane setup where I use 2.4Ghz to connect to my router and then 5.Ghz to connect to my devices works best as the farther out you take your devices in a 2.4Ghz wifi cluster environment, the more interference you have. One thing people should realize in that the signal is being repeated. . .don't expect to get the same speed as connecting directly to your router. When connected to my router I get aprox. 60-95MBs throughput, when it is being repeated on this product I am getting at max 30MBs using fastlane which is much better than other repeaters I've used. Also the 2.4Ghz will generally get about 15-20% better range but the 5Ghz works much better in wifi dense areas.

I purchased the wn2500 to extend my wifi into the back yard and my garage. It raised my wifi signal from one bar to 5 bars, goes thru my large metal garage door without any problems what so ever.
I couldn't get the wpa to work very well so I manually set it up which is easy and I'm totally happy with it's performance.

My whole network system is netgear, router,range extender and wifi adapter in the garage, Roku players and other.

It's been almost a month now and I must say this extender is fantasic. It's very easy to connect to, and of cource it's password protected.
My power bars maintain 4 and 5 bars strong (2.4G and 5G)where as before I barely had one bar when in the back yard or garage. I perfer to use 5G when I can and this extender allows me that option and maintains the power to do so.
I would recommend the WN2500 with ease.

Plugged it into the wall for power, pressed wps on it and wps on the netgear n750 dual band router to pair them. Both bands showed green on the extender which is a sign of good signal being transmitted from the router and that's all she wrote. Wifi is very strong throughout the entire apartment. Highly recommended, especially if being paired to a Netgear dual band router.

If you look at the pictures carefully, you will see this is a loose metal clip over a wallet. The way the wallet is stitched, there should be a pocket for one side of the clip but it is stitched closed. This is very rigid and tight and won't hold many cards, especially cards in protective non slip covers.

This is a product that would only be useful to someone with 2 cards and very little cash. It really can't hold much securely and is too stiff. It is so narrow that only perfectly aligned bills would be hidden in the clip.

Buy something else.

This is a very attractive, simple, slim money clip/wallet. I use it for my debit card, drivers license, and money. You could probably fit a couple more cards in there if you had to. It takes up much less space in my pocket, and I feel cool every time I pull it out. :-) As for other stuff like membership cards, business cards, insurance cards, etc., I keep them in a small container in my car (which tends to follow me around anyway).

I have been very happy with this wallet design. I currently fit 6 cards (2 x Visa, 2 x ID, Insurance, AAA) in the sleeves and mount the money clip close to the fold with bills on the inside. This is the slimmest option that I have found that will hold this many items. I prefer not to mount anything on the outside. Build quality has been fantastic - stitching is very well done. Fantastic value for the price.
I have recently ordered another in another color.

The Zojirushi BB-HAC10 breadmaker is terrific for couples, singles, or apartment dwellers wanting a small loaf of bread (1 LB). While at first, its price may be offsetting, it is a fantastic device and made of high quality materials. Most breadmakers are too large and end up being stored in the closet, but this machine is small, sleek, and bakes perfect loaves of bread. It is the same width as my toaster and is small enough to keep out on an apartment kitchen counter. The loaves on regular cycles take between 3:40-3:00 to bake, but it has a timer and a "keep warm" feature. It is quiet and an 8-year old could easily operate its simple push button controls.

It has an even-heating element, and a good quality, heavy, non-stick baking pan, which is a snap to clean up. It has a pasta/cookie dough feature and a jam (!) feature. The tiny paddle is actually surprisingly efficient at making dough for cookies and such.

One caveat: It bakes a small, vertical loaf of bread and a 1 LB loaf is smaller than you think it is. So the "rounded" part on top takes up about 1/4 of the entire loaf. Also, your bottom slice will have a gaping hole where the paddle bakes into it. While this is not much of a problem for a large 2 LB loaf, for this small loaf, it is a bit of a waste.

We have had a Zojirushi since the early 90's and although we found it consistently made excellent bread, it wasn't getting used very often because it was large and the 2LB loaves simply weren't getting eaten. After downsizing, we found that this breadmaker is fabulous because it makes small enough loaves that you can experiment with tons of different recipes and throw away a botched recipe without feeling bad about waste.

If you are like me, you will do a huge amount of research on the web before you make a purchase like this. Usually I get it down to a few brands, then one item, then I find the best price.
Years ago I purchased one of the earliest commercial bread makers available to consumers. It was a thrill to have such a thing, as I love fresh bread, but I am also a well-known yeast killer. Needless to say, the technology was new... it worked for about a year, and only when making one recipe - Basic White Bread. I decided not to get it fixed (the price tag for repairs was over 100 bucks), and just wrote the whole idea off.
Last fall - after about ten years had passed! - I decided to try again, only this time I had the internet on my side. I am so glad I looked as hard as I did! This little machine is fantastic.
I've had my Zoji for about a month now and I've only had one failure - it was my fault, the water I put in was just too hot, and I killed the yeast (no new thing there). Otherwise, I've made about 13 successful loaves for myself, family & friends! My Challa loaf and my basic white have now been perfected. Wheat and quick breads turn out great, too.
I've even figured out how to use the soft bread cycle and a sweet loaf dough, and remove it at just the right time, then roll the dough up with cinnamon or slice it and put layers of filling, whatever you can think of, then get it back in the pan quickly for the rest of the last rise and the baking. As long as you are prepared and do your math with the clock so you can work fast, this works great.
The other plus is that the loaf size, at just a pound, is perfect for singles like me. I do not have to freeze so much extra bread, and it gets eaten before it gets stale or bad. Do yourself a solid and get some bread flour, it does make a difference to the rising and the texture of the loaf.
The zoji has some great features that may not be apparent when reading the manual (go to [...] and download the manual in PDF form - I do this with every single appliance I am serious about purchasing and it really helps make the best decision for you). The water I put in is truly cool to lukewarm. I learned by watching my Zoji that during the "rest" phase (the first phase), the water is at the bottom of the pan and the machine warms it up during this phase to the perfect temperature. I know that sounds trivial, but remember this is how I always kill yeast! So... biggest problem for me: SOLVED.
Next is to put the ingredients in as they tell you to - mostly to keep the yeast dry and on the top of the flour until it begins to knead. Another thing I learned about this by watching, to be absolutely sure, is to put in the water first, then just HALF the flour, put the rest of the ingredients on top of that flour (except your add-ins like raisins, there is a beep later for that), lastly put the remaining flour on top, then make a small dip right in the middle and put all the yeast right there. If you do this, when the Zoji starts the first knead, the yeast sinks straight to the bottom into the water - which is just perfect.
Clean up is very easy - just be sure to get all the bread out of the paddle and it's assembly, and dry everything properly until the next loaf.
I love this little machine. Zojirushi is the more expensive brand, and even though I am on a tight budget, I am happy I got this one. I can see why it costs a little more - it's great!

UPDATE: It's been a little over a year later, and I am still just as thrilled with my zoji. It has a permanent place on my (limited) countertop. For the record, I have used it consistently about 6 times a month, and there has been no change in the machine's performance. I consider that really durable for such an item.
The only thing I have learned to do different from when I first reviewed is for better performance in the winter months: my house is usually cold, because gas is $ $ , so I give it a little boost (VERY LITTLE - remember how I kill yeast) by putting hot tap water into the pan before use. Let that sit for about 3 mins while you gather ingredients, then pour it out, and put in your regular cold tap water in the amount for the recipe.
A good tip for more stubborn recipes is to add a miniscule amount of ginger on top of the yeast. Ginger will act as a booster to the yeast, it makes it work longer and harder. But remember you only need a little - less than a dash for this sized pan - or else the taste of the bread will change.
Another tip is to get a decent brand's box of organic Vital Wheat Gluten, especially if you can't find bread flour. 1 Tbls per recipe for this sized pan is about right. Sorry, anti-gluten folks, but this is a wonderful product.
If you want to try something whole grain with a fantastic taste, get some organic Spelt flour. Take your typical white bread recipe and halve the white flour with Spelt. Add 1 Tbls gluten. You may need... Read more

I already owned the Zojurushi BBCCX20 (the 2-Pound-Loaf Bread Machine) for 2 years before deciding on buying the smaller model to adjust to changing needs. Unfortunately, I expected the same kind of "programmable" machine. The only thing programmable on the Zojirushi BB-HAC10 is the delay timer. Do not buy this machine expecting to control the time of rise, kneed and bake. Maybe I'm the only person who did use this feature on the other model, but it was truly useful for making spelt bread. The only way to make a nice spelt bread using this machine is the "Quick Baking Setting" and it cannot be combined with the timer. So impossible for me to make a spelt bread for breakfast.

Things I do like :
-The size of the machine is perfect, I store it in the cupboard.
-The beep sound (for adding raisins, nuts, etc.) is not to long or annoying like the BBCCX20 which would wake me up in the middle of the night.
-Easier to clean than BBCCX20. There are no nylon inserts in the bread pan to which bread sticks to.

By the way, the first unit I received blacked out after 5 minutes. It was my first defective purchase from Amazon and replacement service was as perfect as I had read by other customers.

The 5-pack: Energizer 357/303 Multi-Drain Battery, 5-Pk is also a good deal -- about 1.15 each (delivered).

This battery size is available in either Silver Oxide or Alkaline versions.

It's not stated in the amazon listing, but these are the better type: Silver Oxide.

According to Wikipedia, the Silver Oxide have a slightly higher voltage, (1.55v vs. 1.50v), last about 50% longer and also hold a more constant voltage as they're used up.

Also, these Energizers claim a 7-year shelf life.

I have done a lot of reading and grabbing specs and the benefit of these batteries over the cheaper ones is that 1 battery is equal to 3 of the cheapies which means they'll last 3 times longer. I bought some Maxells and not knowing what I was buying as I thought " They are all the same" and this simply wasn't true. For watches, remotes, calculators and lights which are all high drain devices these batteries are best suited for such devices.

I need three of the batteries to replace a more expensive battery pack from a name brand vendor. I descovered 3 of the batteries were used to make the pack. This saves me a lot of money as the packs have to be changes 4 times per year. Very good deal on name brand batteries. Thanks
