I was commissioned to write a song about the issues surrounding mothers and their children playing video-games. Apparently there are quite a lot of issues. Such as mums finding games too violent, over-stimulating, and addictive; and mums wondering whether to let their kids play in their rooms unsupervised or take over the living room with all the noise and technology that goes with gaming. I found it a pretty challenging song to write, and by the end I was overwhelmingly siding with the mums!

After the austerity of the ashram it's time for some luxury. Like the next chapter in some strange videogame we leave in style on a houseboat made out of bamboo. It's gorgeous; little en suite bedrooms; sofas on deck; a round dining table where we're served the most amazing keralan food by our onboard chef. There are six of us now as my sister has joined us. I can't quite describe how excited I am by this - she's travelling around the world, and the next three weeks will be all I see of her this year.

Its like belonging to a big family where everyone is welcome; uber-geek gamers, postmodern post-gamers, extremely talented game designers, and the normals walking off the street looking for ice-cream. Not sure which of those categories I fall into, but I spent the entire time like a hyper-active child, eagerly chatting to everyone as if I havent seen human-beings for the last ten years of my life.

I'm taking you on a little trip down memory lane to my review of Wolverine Uncaged. I must admit, I haven't seen the movie. The reviews of it were so bad and as much as I love Huge Jackman, the two hours of my life were too precious. It seems people agree that in terms of storyline the game is a lot better than the movie, so that's one thing in its favour.
