7 Tips in the Art of List Building

1: GIVEAWAYS - You can get thousands of targeted people on an

email list by running, or participating in a giveaway. The key is to give away something with a high value. Gift cards, digital and physical products, coaching or

consulting are all good choices.

2: BONUSES - A great way to build a list if you do affiliate marketing is to ask for a bonus spot on the product download page? Essentially you will give the product vendor a link to an opt-in form that will give the buyer access. If they don't have the built in ability available on their download area, you can always create a landing page to send them to afterward, or create a coupon for them in your personal store.

3: UPGRADE YOUR CONTENT - Another effective way of putting more targeted people on your list is by taking your blog posts and extending them in exchange for an email. For example, if you have 5 great resources in your blog article, then do 10 more and ask them if they’d like to see 10 more great resources? Tell them, Just opt in here with a link or button. Content upgrades work great.

4: PRODUCT LAUNCHING - This is an effective way to put responsive buyers on your list. There is a learning curve, but mastering the art of digital product launching is worth your time for helping you get some high quality leads. The key is to consistently put out great paid content. Create, Package, Release!

5: USE LIGHT BOXES - You know that annoying pop up that bothers you when you are trying to read blog articles? Those are a really effective way to put people on your list, much more effective than any sidebar opt-in or ribbon opt-in.

This types of pop up is engaging and impossible to ignore. The trick here is to have it appear as much as possible until they opt in. Exposure is key.

Don't worry about it seeming annoying. As a general rule people need to be exposed to something at least 5 times before they take action. The more they see something the more they take action. Just make sure you have a good lead magnet and you are all set.

6: LEAD MAGNETS - Getting targeted people on your list becomes a lot easier if they actually want to BE on your list. That means giving them something worthy of

their email. Things like checklists and cheat sheets work great because they are easily consumable and promise to not take a lot of time to get through. The downside is that they do not give you a lot of chance to build relationships.

You can fix this by adding a bonus link on your cheat sheet or checklist to another free product, video workshop or eBook, which will give you a chance to expand upon the cheat sheet but more importantly allow you to build a connection.

7: DOUBLE STEP OPT-IN - It’s been tested and proven time that the double step opt-in performs much better than the a single step opt-in.

For example, when you offer a free product, just have a download now button. When they click that button, it prompts them for their email. That’s the double step opt-in.

Just ask what is absolutely necessary (name and/or email). The more info you ask for the less opt-ins you will get. In many cases you can just ask for the email. You don’t need the name unless a money transaction is involved, you don’t need the cell number, etc..

Your relationship with your opt-in is brand new, asking for too much info off the top creates an annoyance and less follow throughs. I hope some of these tips can help you add more quality to your lists of subscribers.

What the heck is an Evergreen Website

No, it's not the row of Evergreens growing as beautiful landscape across the mountain ranges and plains.

Evergreen niches are those in which the information doesn't change very often, if at all. Gardening is an example of an evergreen market - things aren't really much different today than they were 50 years ago. Computer-related niches, on the other hand, are not very evergreen. Every few months things change enough that information prior to that becomes outdated.

If you choose an evergreen topic for your membership site, it not only means you won't have to update the information very often but you can continue selling to new members and using the same content for months or even years to come.

The best way to run an evergreen membership is to have some kind of drip-feed system in place to deliver the content. When a new member joins, they start at the beginning of the content and receive updates on a pre-defined schedule.

For instance, let's say your membership gets new content on a weekly basis. If someone signs up today, they start at module 1 and four weeks from now they will be on module 4. Anyone who joins four weeks from now still starts at module one and continues on the pre-defined schedule

As long as you don't have a community like a forum where members can interact with one another, it makes no difference if different members are at different points in the content stream - it's evergreen content so it's always relevant.

There is another option, however, if you're planning to have a forum or the content is such that everyone should be getting the same thing, no matter when they join. You can let members pay extra to access previous months' content.

This would work well in a situation like a PLR membership where members would expect to get the most current content every month. If someone were to sign up six months from now and receive the PLR pack that others received six months prior, that probably wouldn't be very effective. Instead, allowing newer members to pay for access to any previous months' content that they're interested in would work much better. As long as the topics are evergreen, they would still be just as useful to them.

If you plan to offer a forum as part (or all) of your membership, choosing an evergreen topic makes it easier to manage. When new members join the forum, it's a lot more effective if they can go back and learn from all the previous posts as well as the new ones. If it's a topic that changes regularly, much of that archival content probably won't be very useful any longer.

I am a misplaced Briton, my colors were red white and blue. I now live in the states, and the colors here are red white and blue. Of course both color themes are not meaning the same thing lol, but with the state of the world the way it is, I got to thinking. I know that Canada has their own celebration of Independence, as do we, but why should we be celebrating this right, only one day of the year.

We shouldn't. We should be celebrating Freedom and Independence every single day. Much like a gratitude journal, we should be thankful for the freedom to think, and do, within the rights we were given.

Tricks to Help You Resell Your PLR

Selling PLR products is one of the very simplest businesses there is to get started with. You are simply buying a product and then selling it on to a large audience and best of all is that a lot of the marketing material you’ll use is already made for you! This is a ‘copy and paste’ business model and it’s almost fool proof!
But while that’s true, it’s also true that there are lots of things you can do to make your business more successful and to increase sales. In this guide, we’ll look at four powerful methods you can use to do that and to start selling more items.
Sell a Physical Copy
Did you know that sites like LuLu and Amazon’s Self Publishing platform allow you to turn digital books into real hard-copy books? These sites use something called ‘PoD’ which stands for ‘Print On Demand’. That means that copies are made only when books are ordered, in turn meaning you won’t cost yourself anything if you don’t make sales. But being able to offer a physical version of your book will help it appeal to more people and it will be useful for your marketing.
Make a Video
You can sell your books through a sales page or through email marketing, but why not take it one step further by making a video? Fakes are everywhere, and now that CV19 is part of life, and the internet has become even more of the work and social ground, the fakes are becoming more apparent. They come in all sizes, shapes, colors, and ages. They call themselves gurus, coaches, mentors, even friend, but if you can’t spot the fakes and phonies in everyday life, you are in for a heap of stress and aggravation!

The below hit this right on the head for me, especially the needing for power and control bit. Have you met anyone like this in your life?

How to Spot a Fake Person

If you notice any of these signs below, you may be dealing with someone who isn’t whom they make themselves out to be at first blush.

- They Seek Attention and Are Quick to Show Off: Being proud of your hard-earned accomplishments is one thing, but showing off all of the time may be a sign of a fake person who places more value on external validation than self-validation. “The most common reason that people pretend to be someone they’re not is to get something from people. This is usually admiration or connection or power or control or inclusion or something in that world,” says Leigh Louey-Gung, fulfillment coach and founder of LifeOS.

They’re Only Nice if There’s Something in It for Them: Another sign of a fake person is one who only shows kindness when it benefits them, for similar reasons Louey-Gung mentions in the first point.

Their Words and Actions Don’t Match: A genuine person will do their best to live up to promises and commitments. Conversely, a fake person may talk the talk without walking the walk—they’re inconsistent. “With fake people, it’s like you need to carry a clipboard around with you and keep track of what they say so that you can make sense of the constant contradictions,” writes Dr. Seth Meyers, licensed clinical psychologist, for an eHarmony blog post.

Psychology of a Fake Person

Experts agree the main reason people present themselves, or act in a way that is incongruent with, their true selves is because they likely didn’t feel safe to do so in the past. For example, if someone learned that being emotionally expressive was unacceptable in their household, and was punished in some way for it, this person may armor themselves with stoicism or avoid articulating their true feelings in order to protect themselves. “If the world [or people] can’t be trusted then you believe that you have to design your interactions in a manner that keeps you safe,” explains Shannon Battle, LCMHS, LCAS, a licensed mental health counselor.

They also agree that people tend to act in a way that conforms to society and other external expectations (rather than our internal compass) to meet the most basic human needs: the need to be accepted, loved, and wanted—which become even more fulfilling when we align thoughts and actions.

Authentic People Have These Traits In Common

On the other hand, authentic people know who they are and what they believe in, and more often than not, answer to themselves rather than to pressures and expectations around them. These people:

Share Their Truth: Genuine people have a point of view, and aren’t afraid to share it. “Genuine people are comfortable presenting their ideas without expecting or needing to convince others they are right,” writes Winch.

View Failure as a Tool: Furthermore, writes Winch, “They view failure as an integral part of their journey, a source of learning, and an enriching experience from which they can grow.” In other words, they are willing to be vulnerable. “To be authentic, we must cultivate the courage to be imperfect—and vulnerable. We have to believe that we are fundamentally worthy of love and acceptance, just as we are,” writes Brené Brown, a vulnerability and shame researcher, in an article for O, The Oprah Magazine.

Set Boundaries for Themselves and Others: Authentic people aren’t people-pleasers for the sake of wanting (or needing) to be liked. “Being authentic means saying no when you really don’t want to do something. But it also means saying yes and trying new things that appeal to you, even when your never-ending to-do list is calling or you’re worried about failure,” writes Brown.

What Is PLR, REALLY!

Today I want to talk about PLR and how to spot the real thing, and why it will help you in your efforts to make a living! There are a lot of phony PLR sellers out there, sorry, it is the only word I can use to describe it. I started out in the PLR niche in 1995, and although I sidetracked and took alternative paths a couple of times, I am right back where I started, and the only thing that has changed, is peoples definitions, and misunderstanding of what the accurate terms actually mean.

PLR means that you get the full rights to edit and distribute a product. There is no need to credit the original author, all profits are entirely your own and you make changes wherever you see fit.
You will first need to buy the product from a seller before you can start doing this. The seller will be someone who is good at content creation but perhaps doesn’t want to do their own marketing. I will explain who and where to find the best, in my opinion, and how some sellers are misbranding and misunderstanding the term PLR, and how to spot and stay away from such sellers. If you are not aware of what you are purchasing because it is mismarked PLR, you will end up with a lot of unusable products that are for your, or your customers personal use only. This is not what PLR is, and the new generation of "plr" sellers, have confused the market, and cost many people a ton of money they did not have to waste. So with that said.... let's move on.
From the purchasers perspective, this means that you, as the customer of a PLR product, can buy a ready-made product and go about selling it as you please. More often you’ll find that the creator also packages in a lot of other extras to help you sell. That means they might provide you with a ‘ready-made’ sales page, ready-made email marketing messages… ready-made freebies that you can give away with your product and more!
The products themselves may also vary but they will be digital products, meaning the product is something intangible that provides value by offering information such as eBooks, which are simply large, book-length documents saved in PDF format in most cases. Other options are courses, video courses, audiobooks, software, reports, graphics, templates etc.
PLR can focus on nearly any niche, whether fitness, earning online, crafting, or almost anything else. The best strategy is to look for a niche that you are interested in, or one in which you already have established yourself as an authority.
PLR is an exciting niche and you should be eager to start getting involved with PLR products.The most obvious advantage is that you won’t have to make the products yourself. If you want to sell an eBook for instance, then all you need to do is find the book you like, brand it (or not if your lazy lol) and then place a ‘buy now’ button on your website with a description of what you are selling.
You don’t need to be a fantastic writer, you don’t need to spend days or months writing a book, and you don’t need to handle things like editing the front cover or formatting the layout.What’s more, is that the end product you’ll get to sell is likely to be more professional than whatever you could create yourself. Not to say your skills as a creator are not good, but put simply, a PLR product is a product that has been designed and created from the ground up by a team of experts (or an individual expert…); people who do this for a living and who know the market well.
These are people who have access to all the most useful tools for creating products and who know how to put something together that will get a response from audiences. This, of course, increases the likelihood that your product will sell and it improves your chances of getting a positive response from those who buy it.
Better yet, your sales materials are ready-made for you by people who truly understand the business and know how to write highly effective sales content that helps you sell quickly.You still have to promote your own products, but using PLR in it's original state, with a few minor changes like your brand, saves time for you to concentrate on the important things like promotion.
Another benefit of not creating the product yourself is that you’ll be taking a lot less risk.If you create a product on your own, or even commission the creation of a product, then you will spend hours of your own time or a lot of money in getting the product created. If your product then turns out to be a failure and no one buys it, you will have lost all of that time and all of that money.
Compared with selling PLR products, it should be a no brainer. With PLR you can launch a product and quickly start making sales. You can then take the profits from that and buy two new products or three, or four...
If you buy a PLR product and start selling it and it doesn’t go well, then you haven’t lost much. A PLR product won’t set you back in most cases and because you didn’t have to invest huge amounts of time, you can simply pick up the pieces and try the next one, plus with PLR, you can take that same product, and "repurpose it" into a new product, blog posts and a number of new and different products, because THAT is the beauty of PLR!
Even better is the fact that you can choose products that you already know are selling well, which means that you can be almost guaranteed that the products at least have the potential to sell well. They’re already selling and the only thing that is changing is the website they are selling from. You are literally lifting someone’s tried and tested business and then dropping it onto your site.
There has never been a more straightforward way to make money, or one that offers better odds for you as the seller!
Types of Rights
Before you jump in, one of the first things you need to consider is the type of rights that you are going to be buying. This is important as getting it wrong could mean that you can’t actually sell the product, or you can’t edit it. This may or may not be an issue depending on your intended business strategy.Below are a few different terms you need to familiarize yourself with in that case. Please keep in mind, you may have heard or read these terms recently on other websites, and they stated different permissions, or were confusing, and in some cases, even contradict themselves. I honestly am telling you, if you run across these confusing terms on a website, or they state differently from what I write below, RUN! Unless you only plan to "resell" what you are purchasing as "Personal Use ONLY " to your customers, I say again RUN!
What I am telling you now, are REAL TRUE OLD SCHOOL terms for this business niche! If you see terms other than this, then;
1: you have found what I like to call a new generation marketer, and you can be sure they are also new to the PLR niche too.
2: you have found someone who also does not quite understand what PLR is really about.
Most of these new creators I find are actually selling you "commercial use" rights, which simply means you can create with or even resell the products you create, but only for personal use. So below you will find License terms the way they are meant to be used and understood.
These are:
Resale Rights / Resell Rights (RR)First of all, resale rights (RR), mean that you have the right to resell the product. This is pretty straightforward and does precisely what it says. However, this does not necessarily mean that you’ll be able to make edits to the product. You may be able to IF you have additional rights on top of the resale rights and you need to check that this is explicitly stated. In most cases, you’ll also gain access to some of the sales materials that the creator has been using to sell their products.
Master Resale Rights (MRR)Master resale rights (MRR) means that you not only have the right to resell the product but you also have the right to resell the rights. In other words, you can resell the product to other marketers so that they can resell it as well! Once again, however, you will still not necessarily have the right to edit the original documents/files, and your customers generally only get RR rights, or Personal Use Only (PU).
Private Label Rights (PLR)Private Label Rights (PLR) is where the product becomes truly yours and without limit. Now you can not only sell the product and the rights but you also have the option to edit the product. That means you can put your name on it, you can put your company’s brand on it, or you can even change the very topic of the product or the conclusion. In most cases you can also pass on the MRR, RR, etc. rights to the product. In other cases you may also be granted the ability to pass on the PLR rights as well. You can add you own license and set of rules, PLR is KING and this is what you should strive to find and buy.
This is exciting as you now get to sell something as though it were your own product, and that in turn means that your business gets the credit. It means you can change the product to better fit the niche you’re in, to be more appealing to your specific audience, or to align with your personal views and ideas.
Public DomainAnother type of product to look into is ‘Public Domain Content’. This is content that gives you all the same rights as PLR content but with one key difference: you don’t have to buy it! In order to resell or edit a book or video course that someone else has written, you first need to buy the license. That is what you are paying for more than the product itself. But with public domain content, the license belongs to everyone. People are within their rights to sell it to you but you are also within your rights to get it free of charge, as long as you can find it on your own.
Public domain content is simply content that no one owns – and thus everyone owns. It includes content that was published between 1923 and 1963 and which hasn’t been renewed or passed on. The Tradition Of The Christmas Tree: Decorated Trees In Your Home

Evergreens were used to decorate homes during winter long before Christmas became a holiday. Evergreens were believed to keep witches, ghosts,

evil spirits and illnesses away from homes where they were displayed.

Germany is credited with the traditional Christmas Tree celebration of decorating trees and bringing them into their homes. It is believed that Martin Luther, the 16th century Protestant reformer was the first to add lighted candles to the tree. He wanted to recapture the sparkling stars on a dark night and how the stars illuminated his walk home, so he brought a tree into his home and placed it in the center of the room. He then wired the tree branches with lighted candles.

By 1890, Christmas ornaments were arriving in America from Germany and the Christmas tree became popular in the U.S. In the early 20th century most Americans were using homemade ornaments on their trees. While Europeans liked their trees to be small, Americans liked their trees to reach from floor to ceiling. Popular homemade ornaments included popcorn strings decorated by being dyed bright colors and laced with berries and nuts. Electricity changed the tree to include electric lights and trees began to glow in town squares and in homes all across America, making the Christmas Tree, a American tradition.

Many cities claim to be the first city to have a Christmas tree in America including: Windsor Locks, a city in Connecticut. They claim that a Hessian soldier put up a Christmas tree in 1777 while he was imprisoned at the Noden-Reed House, making it the first Christmas tree in New England.
Easton, Pennsylvania also claims that German settlers put up a Christmas tree in 1816. There is a diary entry made by Matthew Zahm, of Lancaster Pennsylvania, which says a Christmas tree was put up in 1832.
A German immigrant living in Boston, Charles Follen, claimed the custom itself of decorating the Christmas tree. Another German immigrant from Wooster, Ohio is said to have made popular the practice of decorating the Christmas tree by cutting down spruce trees from a wooded area by his town, and having a tinsmith construct a star, he placed the tree in his house, decorating it with paper ornaments and candy canes. He was recognized by the National Confectioners' Association as being the first to put candy canes on a Christmas tree. Those first candy canes were all white though and had no red stripes.
The Christmas tree today is a very important part of the celebration of Christmas. The tree symbolizes life.

What exactly is a healing garden?

A healing garden is typically found in a hospital or healthcare setting. They are designed to promote healing and provide a safe haven for patients.

Healing gardens are often confused with therapeutic gardens. While they share many of the same benefits, they are slightly different from one another. With a therapeutic garden, they are designed to meet specific needs of certain health conditions. Healing gardens however, tend to provide benefits to a wider range of people.

There are actually different types of healing gardens you can create, and each has their own unique benefits.

What elements make up a healing garden?

A healing garden is designed with safety and comfort in mind. It needs to be a place you feel safe escaping to, so having the garden enclosed is recommended.

• Create the layout first

• Consider the natural elements

Color plays a key role in a healing garden, so you should pay close attention to the ones you choose. You’ll want to focus on colors that evoke the emotions you want to feel. For example, if you’re looking to de-stress and relax, blues and greens tend to be the most calming. If you’re battling depression, opt for vibrant colors such as reds and pinks.

You’ll also want to add some form of lighting to the garden. Ideally, you should opt for low volume lighting to provide a more subtle, beautiful light.

One of the key challenges of designing a healing garden, is blocking out noise. If you live in a fairly noisy area, construct a thick wall around the garden. The thicker the wall the better, and for enhanced noise reduction, include some vegetation too. You can also add a water feature to create soothing noise inside the garden.

Home Organization Made Simple

There are a few simple rules to home organization that make getting rid of clutter simple and easy. Everyone should strive to eliminate the clutter and stuff piling up around your house so creative thinking can flow.

Honestly, nobody likes rules. the thing is, if you're serious about home organization,

then there are a few rules you should follow.

Make your life easier by following some simple steps...

Rule #1:

"Once is Enough!"

Procrastination becomes a habit and it causes piles and piles of clutter because something is being put off until later. It could be laziness, but more often it's due to lack of time. The thing is, having to come back to a task does not save you time.

For everything you put off until later, you're dealing with it not once, but twice, when it should only be once. You (or someone you live with) is procrastinating and putting things off until later.

Time Waits For No One!

To save a couple of seconds today, you're wasting five minutes tomorrow.

For example...

You come home, take off your work clothes, get into your comfy clothes, and you throw the what you just took off on the bed, or chair, or floor. Why? because you tell yourself you are going to hang it up or put it in the laundry later.

This is two steps when it should be one. Unfortunately few practice this simple rule of home organizing. Touch it once. The coffee cup goes in the dishwasher, not on the counter and into the dishwasher later.

The mail, groceries, shopping bags, etc, should be dealt with immediately, not added to a pile where it just gets forgotten or becomes an eyesore, that is just simple procrastination.

Rule #2:

Keep things together that belong together. In the bedroom, keep sweaters with sweaters. shirts with shirts. In the kitchen there is one shelf for snacks and a shelf for cans.

Take a look around a clothing store, they're designed to help the customer find exactly what they need, all organized and pretty. It's nice to find whatever it is you're looking for in a matter of seconds?

Same for a grocery store. If these shelves weren't organized, these stores would go broke because nobody would be able to find a thing.

Rule #3:

Only organize one space at a time.

Work on one small space at a time in set increments and try and do it every single day. It might only be for fifteen or twenty minutes, but the key is to get something organized everyday and make it consistent.

If you try and tackle too much at once, you won't get much because of an already hectic schedule. Incomplete tasks are discouraging and you might want to give up. The smaller the task, the easier to complete, and the better you'll feel about it.

Often organizing something as small as a junk drawer, a shelf, closet or even your purse or wallet can give you a sense of accomplishment and motivation to tackle a bigger project.

If it takes two days to organize the junk drawer, so be it, take two days to do it.

Getting it done is the key one small step at a time.
