Most of these episodes were animated in Tokyo, Japan for the film Shish, Tokyo study that inspired most of the Dice cartoons of the 80, while some episodes were animated in Taiwan for the study of Cuckoo's Nest and film productions Wang, before being finished in post production by Nirvana, the same Canadian study did preproduction. Apparently, the show was produced for release in France and the E. Was broadcast in North America in September 1983. A month or so later, the series premiered in France, whose version also featured a theme song with lyrics French and French Inspector Gadget of the title appearing before the episode.

The first season was aired from September to December 1983, comprising sixty-five 22 ½ - minute long episodes. The original pilot episode had a budget slightly higher than the rest of the series, but due to various problems of animation and away from the established formula, the other 64 episodes of season stand out as better. After the first season, the show was a worldwide hit.

The pilot offered slightly different opening and closing credits, too. Evil supporters have recurring roles, appearing in as many as three episodes in a row without an arrest. Music

The theme music for the show was composed by Sheik collection and Him Sabin. Both of them composed the background music for this show and many other Dice cartoons of the 80's.

Most of the signs of the background music are some sort of variation of the melody of the gadget. Even at festivals or dances in the story, the theme of the gadget is usually played. From time to time during an episode, for example, release time and traps the ghost of the Inspector Gadget hum or even sing his theme. With the exception of the first three tracks, all the music on this album is live incidental music from the television series. The album is far from a complete soundtrack, though it was so impossible that there are probably several hours of source music used in the series. Some tracks on the album are more location / episode-specific or special sequences. There were also at least two other records released by Sabin Records (both in French). One of these was the only theme music (with French vocals, both released in 1983 and 1985 with different sleeve covers), and other audio was a story named "Curse of the Touthankamon roe" of La; based on the episode "; Curse of the Pharaohs."

DVD Releases

Inspector Gadget: The Original Series - Four Disc DVD system that collects the first 22 episodes, released in North America on April 25, 2006 by cry! Factory. The DVD was also released in Australia, but without any special features.
