<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">At JobScore we care deeply about the candidate experience.&nbsp; You can preview exactly what candidates will see when they view one of your jobs:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-description-preview.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We just added the ability to preview the apply form as well:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-application-form-preview.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">JobScore also shows a preview when you add and edit jobs, so it&#8217;s 100% clear what candidates will see:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-application-form-preview-on-edit-job-page.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Creating the perfect job application form is a delicate balance… you want to minimize the number of questions to make it easy to apply, but still get the information you need to decide on who to interview.&nbsp; We recommend making your forms as short as possible because JobScore makes it easy to ask more questions later in <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/candidate-forms/">candidate forms</a> and <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/interview-self-scheduling/">interview self-schedule</a> requests.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Job titles are a reliable way to predict if it&#8217;s worth considering someone for a job… but many job titles are similar.&nbsp; For example, if you’re looking for a Software Engineer, qualified candidates could have a Programmer, Front-End Engineer, Application Developer, or Software Architect job title.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">JobScore recommendations can now account for similar job titles when scoring candidates. When you select a job title <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/202000420-What-are-scoring-criteria-How-do-they-work" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">scoring criteria</a>, you can use artificial intelligence to generate a list of similar job titles, which you can edit:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-similar-job-title-scoring-criteria.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">JobScore considers the criteria a match when it finds any job title you enter on a candidate’s resume.&nbsp; When you click to see score details, JobScore shows which job title(s) match:</p>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large ImageBlockWrapper js-box-shadow"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/score-details-dialog-with-job-title-criteria-1024x576.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18004" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/score-details-dialog-with-job-title-criteria-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/score-details-dialog-with-job-title-criteria-300x169.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/score-details-dialog-with-job-title-criteria-768x432.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/score-details-dialog-with-job-title-criteria-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/score-details-dialog-with-job-title-criteria-2048x1151.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">As you review candidates and learn, you can refine how candidates are scored by adjusting your list of similar job titles.&nbsp; For even more precision, you can:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Build multiple lists of titles and assign different importance to each criteria.</li>

<li>Create different criteria for current job titles and past job titles.</li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large ImageBlockWrapper js-box-shadow"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/scoring-criteria-with-multiple-job-titles-1024x576.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18003" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/scoring-criteria-with-multiple-job-titles-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/scoring-criteria-with-multiple-job-titles-300x169.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/scoring-criteria-with-multiple-job-titles-768x432.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/scoring-criteria-with-multiple-job-titles-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/scoring-criteria-with-multiple-job-titles-2048x1151.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">When you copy a job, scoring criteria are copied as well, so if you build lists of similar job titles, it’s easy to reuse them.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We hope you use this enhancement to make our <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/candidate-scoring-re-launch/">candidate scoring re-launch</a> even more useful and powerful.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Happy hiring!</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We&#8217;ve made <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/automations-beta/">JobScore automations</a> more powerful by supporting 3 new actions.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"><strong>Add Note (Email User) Action</strong></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">This action adds a note to a candidate’s record using a note template.  While adding searchable notes to candidate records is helpful, the real power of this action stems from the “email note to:” attribute of note templates, which allows you to create automations that send email notifications to your co-worker.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large ImageBlockWrapper"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="627" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-note-automation-action-1024x627.png" alt="" class="wp-image-17958" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-note-automation-action-1024x627.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-note-automation-action-300x184.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-note-automation-action-768x470.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-note-automation-action-1536x940.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-note-automation-action-2048x1253.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Even better, when you turn on <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/202000910-What-are-note-alert-emails-How-do-they-work">note alerts</a> for a job, users can reply to these email notifications and start discussions that are auto-magically recorded in JobScore.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">The add note (email user) action keeps everyone in the loop precisely the way you want.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">A great way to try it out is to create an automation that notifies a teammate when candidates are moved into specific workflow stages.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"><strong>Add Tag &amp; Remove Tag Actions</strong></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">These 2 actions, unsurprisingly, add and remove tags from candidate records.&nbsp; If you are unfamiliar with tags in JobScore, other systems call them “labels,” “folders,” or “projects.”</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Tags are a flexible way to sort and manage candidates, allowing you to group and classify them independent of which job(s) they are considered for.&nbsp; We&#8217;ve outlined many, many potential uses in our <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/202522800-Tutorial-Tags">tags tutorial</a>.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large ImageBlockWrapper"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-remove-tag-actions-1024x576.png" alt="" class="wp-image-17950" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-remove-tag-actions-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-remove-tag-actions-300x169.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-remove-tag-actions-768x432.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-remove-tag-actions-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-remove-tag-actions-2048x1151.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">It&#8217;s hard to overstate the flexibility and power of tags.&nbsp; Here are a few examples of how you can use them in automation actions:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>When a candidate is moved to the “declined” workflow stage, if they’ve ever been in the “team interview” workflow stage, add the “interviewed” tag… so you can easily see if they&#8217;ve interviewed before when reviewing candidates.</li>

<li>When a candidate is moved to the “recruiter screen” workflow stage, “phone interview” stage, or “team interview” stage, remove all sourcing tags (like pursuing, 1st email, 2nd email, or send Inmail)… because you successfully connected with them and can stop outreach efforts.</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Happy hiring!</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Resume spam has been on the rise for the past several years.&nbsp; Employers are being inundated by applications from unqualified applicants.&nbsp; <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/articles/too-many-applicants/">Handling a high volume of job applications</a> is a complex issue that often requires adjusting both process and technology.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We’ve added Google’s <a href="https://developers.google.com/recaptcha" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reCAPTCHA</a> to JobScore-hosted job application forms, which helps protect you from spam and abuse.  It shows a checkbox that asks applicants to confirm they are not a robot:</p>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large ImageBlockWrapper js-box-shadow"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-application-form-with-recaptcha-challenge-1024x576.png" alt="" class="wp-image-17862" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-application-form-with-recaptcha-challenge-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-application-form-with-recaptcha-challenge-300x169.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-application-form-with-recaptcha-challenge-768x432.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-application-form-with-recaptcha-challenge-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/job-application-form-with-recaptcha-challenge-2048x1151.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Every year, it feels like more recruiting happens in scheduled video conference meetings. However, later in the hiring process, as things heat up, a lot of communication isn&#8217;t scheduled.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Most people reach for their personal phone to call, text, or WhatsApp candidates.&nbsp; But with a speaker and microphone connected to your computer, you don’t have to.&nbsp; Taking a minute to set up to click to call and click to text candidates from your computer makes recruiting faster and more comfortable.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We just added icons next to phone numbers in JobScore that make it easy to click to call, click to text, or click to WhatsApp candidates:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/1-call-sms-or-whatsapp.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">These links are also shown on the candidate action and interview candidate pages, so you can click to call from the page where you update the candidate’s record:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video controls src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/2-call-from-interview-page.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">To use WhatsApp, just download and install <a href="https://www.whatsapp.com/download?lang=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">WhatsApp for your device</a>.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">To make calls and send text messages,&nbsp;you’ll need to configure a few things:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>If you use Windows 11, install <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sync-across-your-devices?r=1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone Link</a> to connect your Windows PC to your Android or iPhone.</li>

<li>If you have a Macintosh computer and an iPhone using the same Apple ID with wifi enabled, then:
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>To send SMS messages, turn on settings &gt; messages &gt; text message forwarding</li>

<li>To make calls, open the FaceTime app on your Mac and select FaceTime&gt; Settings, and click on &#8220;Calls from iPhone.&#8221;</li>
</ul>
</li>

<li>If you use Google Voice, <a href="https://support.google.com/voice/answer/165221?hl=en&amp;co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">connect your mobile phone number to Google Voice</a>, then follow the instructions for <a href="https://messages.google.com/web/authentication" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Google Messages for web</a> and Google Voice with <a href="https://support.google.com/voice/answer/11397414?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">one-click dialing</a>.</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">You can also set things up to receive desktop notifications when candidates call, text, or WhatsApp you.&nbsp; You’ll be able to respond from your computer without having to grab your phone… and when candidates call&nbsp;you can cut-and-paste the candidate’s phone number into JobScore to quickly find them:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/3-receive-notifications.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We hope you&#8217;ll try “recruiting without touching your phone” from your desk as we&#8217;ve found it makes it a lot easier to get into a flow state (and stay there).</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We recently released <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/knockout-questions/">knockout questions</a> that automatically disqualify candidates. JobScore now also supports knock-in questions…. because sometimes you’re 100% sure you want to move forward with an applicant.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">For example, if you need to hire a second shift security guard in 2 weeks, chances are you‘ll want to speak with every candidate who:</p>

<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>Lives a reasonable distance away.</li>

<li>Can start in two weeks.</li>

<li>Will work for the advertised salary range.</li>

<li>Doesn&#8217;t have a criminal record.</li>

<li>Has worked in a similar role before.</li>
</ol>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">If a candidate provides the answers you want to these 5 questions, you don&#8217;t need to review their background… you want them to self-schedule an interview.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">JobScore knock-in question <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/automations-beta/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">automations</a> provide complete control over:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>The actions that are performed. (send a candidate form, send a self-scheduling request, change a workflow stage)&nbsp;</li>

<li>The conditions (jobs, questions and answers) when they occur.</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">You set up knock in questions just like knock out questions but you’ll choose to send them a candidate form to ask for more information (a secondary application) or ask them to self-schedule an interview.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">When you choose a self-schedule option you have the ability to override who the candidates will schedule with:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/knock-in-questions.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Customers on the SCALE and ENTERPRISE plans can set up knock-in questions from the add/edit job form or from the <a href="https://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/automations" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">automations page</a> in the administrative console.<br>If you&#8217;d like a hand setting up your first knock-in automation, please email <a href="mailto:support@jobscore.com">support@jobscore.com</a></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Some jobs require specific qualifications like the ability to lift 50 pounds or a class C driver&#8217;s license.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">JobScore now supports knockout questions, a new type of <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/automations-beta/">automation</a> that auto-declines candidates based on how they answer questions when they apply for a job. Here’s how to set them up:</p>

<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>Edit the job, scroll to the new automations card and click the add automation link.</li>

<li>Set the automation&#8217;s <strong>trigger </strong>to applied to job.</li>

<li>Add an automation <strong>condition</strong> that the candidate answers one or more questions and provides specific answer(s) that will knock the candidate out.</li>

<li>Set the automation&#8217;s <strong>actions</strong> to:
<ol style="list-style-type:lower-alpha" class="wp-block-list">
<li>Update the candidate&#8217;s workflow stage to declined. You can also add a <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/202833950-What-are-Disposition-Codes-How-do-I-set-them-up-How-do-I-use-them">disposition code</a> like “Doesn’t meet minimum qualifications.”</li>

<li>Send a thanks-but-no-thanks email message by selecting a <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/202000870-Can-I-create-more-than-one-Decline-Email-Template">declined email template</a>.</li>
</ol>
</li>
</ol>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-knockout-questions.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">When candidates are knocked out they are <em>immediately</em> moved to the declined workflow stage.&nbsp; That means JobScore won&#8217;t send your team candidate alerts, and these candidates won&#8217;t be included in daily digest emails… so they completely skip your inbox.&nbsp; While no one is prompted to review these candidates, they are stored in your account for reporting and compliance purposes.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">To provide a better candidate experience, we recommend using the “Deliver:” field in your decline email template.&nbsp; This delays sending your “thanks, but no thanks” email to the candidate so they don’t receive a rejection email a few seconds after they apply.&nbsp; When you create an automation you can use the default value from the email template or override it for each specific automation:</p>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large ImageBlockWrapper"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/deliver-field-on-automation-actions-1024x576.png" alt="" class="wp-image-17682" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/deliver-field-on-automation-actions-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/deliver-field-on-automation-actions-300x169.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/deliver-field-on-automation-actions-768x432.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/deliver-field-on-automation-actions-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/deliver-field-on-automation-actions-2048x1151.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">To further refine the candidate experience, you can customize the text of your <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/202000870-Can-I-create-more-than-one-Decline-Email-Template">decline email templates</a> for each knockout question.&nbsp; We recommend informing the candidate that they didn’t meet the minimum qualifications for the job (so they don’t think it’s something else) &#8211; and, if appropriate, pointing them towards resources where they can acquire the skills and certifications they need to perform the job. (e.g. where to learn to drive large vehicles, or where to get Series 7 certified)</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">While auto-disqualifying candidates is useful for many jobs, it&#8217;s a feature that can be abused by asking unfair and discriminatory questions to auto-disqualify candidates.&nbsp; For this reason, we’ve added a control for users with the owner <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/212930463-What-are-the-different-user-access-levels-in-JobScore-">access levels</a> to <a href="https://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/admin/automation_global_controls/edit">disable knockout questions in your account</a>.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large ImageBlockWrapper"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/edit-global-automation-rules-1024x576.png" alt="" class="wp-image-17683" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/edit-global-automation-rules-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/edit-global-automation-rules-300x169.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/edit-global-automation-rules-768x432.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/edit-global-automation-rules-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/edit-global-automation-rules-2048x1151.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">If some answers are strongly preferred instead of being absolute knockout criteria, you can <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/use-questions-answers-to-score-candidates/">add questions and answers as scoring criteria</a> instead.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Knockout questions are the second powerful automation we added to JobScore after <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/candidate-experience-surveys/">candidate experience surveys</a>.&nbsp;The next few features on the automation roadmap include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Supporting “knock-in” questions so when candidates provide specific answers on job application forms you can automatically ask for more information in a secondary application form, or ask them to self-schedule an interview.</li>

<li>Supporting knock-out and knock-in questions on <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/candidate-forms/">candidate forms</a>.</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">If you dream up other automations that could make your life easier, please share them in our <a href="http://ideas.jobscore.com">ideas forum</a>.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">If you&#8217;d like a hand setting up your first knock-out question automation, please email <a href="mailto:support@jobscore.com">support@jobscore.com</a></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Great recruiting requires that you meet candidates&#8217; needs and <em>impress</em> them.&nbsp; That&#8217;s why modern, talent-focused organizations measure their candidate experience and strive to continuously improve it.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Employers survey candidates and ask them to rate their experience on a 0 to 10 point scale and use these ratings to calculate the company&#8217;s candidate net promoter score (cNPS).</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">JobScore <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/candidate-forms/">candidate forms</a> now support candidate net promoter score questions, which ask candidates to anonymously rate their experience.&nbsp; Candidates can also leave a comment to help employers identify opportunities to improve and successes to repeat.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/candidate-experience-survey.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">In JobScore, you can’t add Candidate NPS questions to job application forms because the idea is to gather information from candidates <em>after</em> their process is complete, not when it’s just getting started.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Users with the Owner, Admin, and Extended <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/212930463-What-are-the-different-user-access-levels-in-JobScore">access level</a> can view responses on the new <a href="https://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/reports/candidate_forms">candidate answers report</a>, which includes both cNPS scores and comments:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/Candidate-Experience-Report.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Candidate experience surveys are typically sent whenever a candidate wraps up their recruiting process: after you decline them, they choose to withdraw, or you hire them.&nbsp; By default, that’s exactly how they work in JobScore using a new feature called <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/blog/automations-beta/">Automations</a>.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">To make it easy to start using candidate experience surveys, you can turn them on with one click on the <a href="https://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/automations">Admin &gt; Automations page</a>.&nbsp; This adds 6 forms that will be sent automatically, including:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Decline before interview</li>

<li>Decline after interview</li>

<li>Withdraw before interview</li>

<li>Withdraw after interview</li>

<li>Withdraw after offer</li>

<li>Candidate hired</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">There are some <a href="https://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/admin/automation_global_controls/edit">global automation rules</a> to ensure things go smoothly. These rules are all ON by default:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Only send candidate experience surveys to candidates in the declined/withdrawn workflow stage if they have already been sent a decline/withdrawn email template for the job.</li>

<li>Do not send candidate experience surveys to internal candidates.</li>

<li>Only send candidate experience surveys to candidates who have already been sent a thanks but no thanks decline or withdrawn email.</li>

<li>If a candidate completes a candidate experience survey, don&#8217;t send another for 6 months:</li>

<li>If a candidate is under consideration for another job (in a new or active workflow stage), don’t send them candidate experience surveys.</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Before you get started, you can <a href="http://try.jobscore.com/app/employer/candidate_form_templates">preview the different candidate experience survey forms</a> and the <a href="http://try.jobscore.com/app/employer/automations">automations that send these surveys</a> on the <a href="https://www.jobscore.com/try-jobscore/">try server</a>.&nbsp; When you are ready to turn things on, users with the owner or admin access level can email <a href="mailto:support@jobscore.com?subject=I would like to join the Automations Beta">supp</a><a href="mailto:support@jobscore.com?subject=We would like to join the Automations Beta">or</a><a href="mailto:support@jobscore.com?subject=I would like to join the Automations Beta">t@jobscore.com</a> to join the automations beta, then click the button to activate automations on the <a href="http://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/automations">automations page</a>:</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">If you don’t like how and when candidate experience surveys are sent, users with the owner and admin <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/212930463-What-are-the-different-user-access-levels-in-JobScore">access level</a> can adjust the rules from the <a href="http://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/automations">automations page</a>.&nbsp; Automations will be a big focus for JobScore through the rest of 2025.&nbsp; The next automation on the roadmap is knockout questions.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Recruiting software is supposed to save you time. Sometimes you can define clear recruiting rules that, when something happens, you always want the system to do the same thing.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">JobScore has done this in a few ways, including:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>When a candidate applies for a job → send them a job application confirmation email.</li>

<li>When a candidate completes a self-scheduling form → update their workflow stage.</li>

<li>When a user adds interview feedback → complete the associated task.</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">The automations feature, also known as “triggers, conditions, and actions” allows you to create and manage your own rules.&nbsp; Each automation includes:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>A trigger</strong> that starts an automation.</li>

<li><strong>Conditions</strong> that determine if actions should occur.</li>

<li><strong>Actions</strong> that occur when the trigger happens and conditions are met.</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Automations are now in a closed beta.&nbsp; At launch, automations will support:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Triggers</strong>: Workflow stage changed, Applied to job.</li>

<li><strong>Conditions</strong>: Workflow stage is, Job is, Application Type is, Answer is.</li>

<li><strong>Actions:</strong> Change Workflow Stage, Email Candidate, Send Candidate Form, Send Self-Scheduling Request.</li>
</ul>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We built out flexible automations to support candidate experience surveys, knock-out questions, and knock-in questions.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We’ve made it easy to discover, create, and edit automations throughout JobScore by showing a <img decoding="async" width="14" height="14" class="wp-image-17257" style="width: 14px;" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/image-6.png" alt=""> automation icon that you can hover over to see what&#8217;s going on.&nbsp; For example, you can see the automation icon next to workflow stages:</p>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized ImageBlockWrapper js-box-shadow"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automation-details-on-workflow-stages-v2-1024x576.png" alt="Automation details on the Workflow Stages page" class="wp-image-17499" style="width:1280px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automation-details-on-workflow-stages-v2-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automation-details-on-workflow-stages-v2-300x169.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automation-details-on-workflow-stages-v2-768x432.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automation-details-on-workflow-stages-v2-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automation-details-on-workflow-stages-v2-2048x1151.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Users with the standard and extended access level on a job’s hiring team can view automations, but only users with the admin and owner access levels can edit them.</p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">To make automations more manageable, they can be viewed, sorted, edited, and toggled on/off from the <a href="https://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/automations">automations page</a> in the administrative console:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automations-page-v2.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">Here’s what it looks like when you add or edit an automation:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/add-automation.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">When something happens in JobScore because of an automation, it’s recorded in the history, where you can see the details of the automation that triggered the action:</p>

<div class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized ImageBlockWrapper js-box-shadow"><figure><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automations-on-history-page-v2-1024x576.png" alt="Automation event on candidate's history page" class="wp-image-17503" style="width:1280px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automations-on-history-page-v2-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automations-on-history-page-v2-300x169.png 300w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automations-on-history-page-v2-768x432.png 768w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automations-on-history-page-v2-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automations-on-history-page-v2-2048x1151.png 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">If an automation fails because of a configuration issue, an error will appear on the <a href="https://hire.jobscore.com/app/employer/automation_errors">Automation Errors page</a>.&nbsp; Each row shows the automation that failed, and the candidate it failed for.&nbsp; From there, you can:</p>

<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>Dismiss the error.</li>

<li>Click to edit the automation to correct what’s broken.</li>

<li>Click on the candidate to manually perform the failed action(s). The actions that failed are listed in the error column in the table for your convenience. </li>
</ol>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video autoplay controls loop muted src="https://www.jobscore.com/wp-content/uploads/automation-errors-page-1.mp4"></video></figure>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left"></p>

<p class="mobile--text-align-left desktop--text-align-left">We&#8217;re planning to add more triggers, conditions, and actions. We’ve added <a href="https://support.jobscore.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200115550-Forum-Ideas-and-Feature-Requests/">a few automation ideas</a> to the forum. Please vote up your favorites, or add new ideas about how we can help you simplify and improve your hiring.</p>
