From a young age, Harsha Chanrai was strongly influenced by her father's philanthropic work in primary health care, eye-care, and safe water projects in Nigeria and India, in addition to his work with Mother Teresa. She was educated in her hometown of London, England and over time working in New York in lifestyle real estate, developed a passion for luxury hospitality. Harsha served as Director of Marketing for Six Senses Resorts and Residences in Asia before continuing in hotel operations at the Fullerton Hotel, Singapore and at the Aman Resort, Sri Lanka. Seeking a way to merge her passion for hospitality with her deeply rooted dedication to philanthropy, Harsha enrolled in the MMH graduate program at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, where she began developing the concept for Saira Hospitality. Today, Harsha's inspired idea has become a reality. Saira Hospitality, a 501c3 organization, disrupts the traditional routes to finding employees for the hotel industry. Alongside her team of educators and hospitality professionals, Saira partners with luxury and lifestyle hotels and creates bespoke pop-up schools to educate members of local communities for employment in hospitality positions from line level to mid-level. Harsha believes that through community education and training locals, Saira can reduce the hospitality turnover rate, which at 72.9% in 2016, is one of the most costly and largest challenges of our industry

To date, Lodging Leaders has released over 130 interviews totaling over 75,000 downloads from 140 worldwide. In 2016, Jonathan formed the HotelierMastermind.com, a virtual think tank of leading industry professionals, to help identify the biggest challenges hoteliers face today. After surveying hundreds of hoteliers, the group discovered that finding and keeping quality associates was the number one challenge. In response, they developed BuildGreatHotelTeams.com, a comprehensive 11-module blended learning course designed to help hoteliers solve the staffing problem! He currently provides consulting services to the hospitality industry.</itunes:summary>
