Today I checked Webmasters Tools, provided by Google, to see what keywords found Google related to my blog. And I was very surprised to see that Dorin Hornea, writer of this blog, is listed there. His name became a keyword. So I entered his name in Google and I discovered our blog on the first page. Then I tried it using my name "Ema Ile" and guess what? I had to surf seven pages to get to my blog. Why? May be my name is to close to "e-mail" and it is harder to identify it. Anyways, I wonder how many more posts do I have to write to be considered a keyword?

The point is: use your name to sign your posts. And if you don't find it original enough, choose an original nickname. That way, any search on your name, will lead to your blog.

So, make yourself visible, brand your name and keep blogging!

I made some research today about PageRank and I decided to share all I found about it, since this blog is meant to tell you everything about how to make yours to work. And the rank of the blog has much to do with it being a successful one or not.
So, PageRank is a link analysis algorithm. It earned the name from Larry Page, the developer of the algorithm and Google's co-founder. This algorithm is used by Google Internet search engine to calculate the importance of a page, considering the referral links and quotations that the page has. In English, the image looks like this: it has more impact when a big dog runs towards a small dog then when a small dog runs towards a big dog, no matter how loud the little one barks. What I want you to know is the relevance of exchanging links and making yourself visible in this picture called the Internet. The image below represents mathematical PageRank for a simple network. Every circle is a page and every arrow indicates the references.

Now you can check the rank of your blog thanks to GoogleRankings, a free tool offered by Google. You just have to go to this page, complete the required fields and click the "what's my rank" button.

Today I added Paypal Donate button to my blog and I decided to share with you the entire process. All you have to do is to follow every step I present you and you will get the button on your blog too. So, let's begin!

1. Get a PayPal account and login.
2. Click on the Merchant Services tab
3. Select Donations from the key features list that you can find in the right sidebar of the PayPal Website Payments Standard Option.
4.When you get to the the Paypal Create a Payment Button screen, select Donations. It is usually already selected.
5. Choose your currency.
6. Select Donors enter their own contribution amount radio button if you don't want to have a set amount.
7. The Secure Merchant ID radio button must be selected to protect you e-mail from spammers.
8. At step 2 you can save your button, so you can use it again when you need it.
9. At step 3 you can allow the donors to leave a little comment among the donation.
10. Choose the No radio button for Customer's Shipping Address.
11. Click on Create the button.
12. Copy the donate button code that PayPal created for you.
13 .Go in your blog, Layout - Page Elements and select an Add a gadget link.
14. Choose HTML/Javascript widget from the list.and paste the button code into the Content box.
15. Choose a title and then save. View your blog for the result.
