पोषक तत्वों की जरूरत – परंपरागत तरीके से खेती करने पर जमीन में जैविक पदार्थ डालकर पोषक तत्व बढ़ाए जाते हैं, लेकिन हाइड्रोपेनिक्स के जरिए खेती करने के लिए पानी के अंदर पोषक तत्वों को संतुलित मात्रा में मिलाया जाता है।
ऑक्सीजन की पूर्ति – मिट्टी में जब खेती की जाती है तब पौधे को ऑक्सीजन मिट्टी से ही मिलती है, लेकिन हाइड्रोपेनिक्स तकनीक में पानी से पौधे ऑक्सीजन लेकर बड़े होते हैं। ये ठीक उसी तरह से हैं जैसे घर में बनी मछलीघर में मछलियां, टैंक के अंदर ही पानी से ऑक्सीजन लेती हैं।

परंपरागत खेती की तुलना में इसमें कम जगह में काम हो जाता है।

हाइड्रोपेनिक्स में उत्पाद की क्वालिटी ज्यादा अच्छी होती है।
