Toni is another repeat customer and has recently started a new business venture in tarot card reading and energy clearing. She wanted a website where her clients could book and pay form appointments online.

I created a calming but engaging look and feel and integrated full e commerce with appointment capabilities on the backend. New appointments are sent straight to her Google calendar.

The site is clean and totally responsive.

We put ourselves in the shoes of the parents and students using the website when thinking how to best organize the content, and came up with a tabbed system of presenting much of the information. This reduced bloat and scrolling of individual pages but pertinent information is easily and intuitively available.

For example all the dance classes have tabbed information on the dress code.

We are receiving many compliments on the website- thank you for everything!

Take face masks, the demand for these is immense.

Being able to tap into their well established relationships with face mask manufacturers, Avocado Medical Supply contacted us last week looking to create a website for their Face Mask distribution services.

Time was of the essence but their new website was launched this morning.

They currently offer three types of mask, FDA certified KN95, white label KN95 and disposable masks.

They have plenty in stock!

Surface pattern design is the creation of artwork ( generally repeating patterns) that can be applied to everything from fabric to phone cases, gift wrap to bathmats.

I use all sorts of techniques to produce my designs, creating repeat patterns from watercolor paintings, digitally using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and even on my ipad with an ipencil using a great app called Procreate.

My inspiration comes mainly from nature and I am a big fan of color

To showcase my pattern collections I have just launched a new website ZoeFeast.com. I kept the design clean and simple and let the patterns be the star of the show. The website is fully responsive.

So I thought it would be fitting on the 20th of the first month of the year to announce that 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of Indigo Image! I am so thankful to all of my clients who have helped me reach this fantastic milestone.

When I founded this company, my core objective was to help small businesses create a presence online. 20 years on, you no longer need to tie up your phone line to visit a website ( who remembers the horrible days of dial-up! ) but with the swipe of a finger on your hand held device, a website is accessible whatever your location. The tools and techniques of creating an effective internet presence have changed immensely but I am still true to that original objective, Indigo Image is Your Creative Partner!

This collection of 13 patterns was inspired by the floral and foliage found on a prairie. I have been working as a habitat restoration volunteer for the last year or so at Cuba Marsh, a forest preserve in the Chicago area and during that time I have seen so many beautiful plants and had to put paintbrush to paper.

Most of the designs stated off as watercolors which were then scanned and pulled into Photoshop where I waved my magic graphic design wand and turned them into repeating patterns.

The collection is available through Spoonflower where they can be purchased in a large variety of fabrics or as ready made item such a duvet covers and table linens.

But getting a WordPress.com website to look and behave exactly as you want, can sometimes be a challenge when that technical knowledge or even just technical confidence is missing. The last thing you want to do is mess up your site!

I recently worked with Debbie Prather who was facing exactly this scenario with her WordPress.com website 742ILoveyou.com. She had a definite vision of how she wanted her site to look and perform and with the success of her articles there was a real need for her site to look more professional.

She reached out to me to help.

I actually forgot to screenshot the site before I started which is a shame but here is her site after I worked my magic.

I switched out the template being used to one that was more professional and added a branded header to the site which included a simple logo and tag line The home page was reconfigured to feature a grid view of the latest 6 blog posts. Follow buttons were added to the blog section and a new contact page added.

Overall the website is now much more appealing, easier to use and has the tools for readers to easily engage.
