Well no, I dont think Apple is going to do much with the design or size of their stuff, even recently in the release of the iphone 4S there was a speculation of the size change of new device, but that never happened. So what I think here is that Apple is not going to release any such model, and if you got some news like that, you can simply put them in the rumor's section.

Samsung to Supply A6 Processor for iPad 3 - The iPad 3 will sport a quad-core A6 processor manufactured by Samsung according to a report sourced from the Korea Times. Despite Apple and Samsung's public feud over patents and competing mobile devices, Apple will continue to rely on Samsung to deliver the next generation processor.

Industry sources claim Samsung has increased production of the Apple-designed A6 quad-core chip using advanced 28-nanometer technology at its manufacturing plant in Austin, Texas. Apple is one of Samsung's largest clients, and Apple relies on Samsung's proven track record.

Apple may use Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing for some of the A6 processors, however the company does not have the same capacity to manufacture quality chips at the volumes that Apple requires. Although the relationship between Apple and Samsung appears to be strained over patent battles, the two companies remain important business partners.

Samsung Chief Executive Choi Gee-sung explained to the press that his company was dealing with these legal issues separately from component deals with Apple. In the meantime, the A6 quad-core processor is expected to debut in the iPad 3 as early as March 2012. Other reports have indicated that critical parts could not be supplied to Apple, which have delayed both the iPhone 5 and iPad 3. It's possible these manufacturing issues have pushed the iPad 3 release back to June or later.

Regardless, Apple isn't taking any chances with its suppliers, and looks ready to stay with Samsung as the primary manufacturer of its next generation mobile processor in the iPad 3.

iPad 3 Rumour Round-Up - When the world got its first taste of the iPad, we were amazed at the stunning design, power, and performance and much like the iPhone, the simple fact that it just worked. 2 Years later and the anticipation for a third generation of the device is high, with expectations surrounding better resolution, improved design, boosted performance and the possibility of new and unexpected features.

Whilst being far from underwhelmed by the iPad 2, it never went far enough to offer anything that could compel me to upgrade my first gen device and, despite a host of apps which require the iPad 2’s power, I am yet to do so. But, if rumours are to be believed, the iPad 3 could make that step a near necessity.

Despite a release being some months away and possibly as much as a year away if reports are to be believed, the iPad 3 is already creating chatter, with Samsung’s A6 Quad-Core processor likely to power the device.

Retina Display is obviously at the top of most people’s list for the new iPad, though the reality is that we are a few years away from this being possible on such a large screen, especially when you account for the battery issues it would create.

Siri, despite her current problems, is likely to add a depth of interaction to the iPad and, properly implemented, could produce fantastic results for the iPads many uses

iPad 3 Release Date: Panasonic Creates ToughPad Tablet - The success of the iPad sparked the creation of different tablets manufactured by various companies other than Apple, including the Galaxy Tab by Samsung, TouchPad by HP and Xoom by Motorola.

With the iPad 3’s launch quickly approaching, other electronics companies are hard at work trying to discover a niche in the tablet market that would allow them to stand toe-to-toe with Apple’s iPad.

Some companies have chosen to go the compact route, such as Amazon with its Kindle Fire tab.

Panasonic seems to be moving in a completely different direction.

The company has announced the addition of two new TouchPad tablets to its lineup that includes both a 7-inch and a 10-inch model.

The ToughPad seems to be considered special due to its ability to withstand physical abuse outdoors. The tablet specifically made to weather the elements, whereas iPads, along with most of Apple’s products, cannot withstand much physical damage.

Other features on the ToughPad include a 1.2 GHz processor, LTE connection capabilities, 16-32 GB of internal memory, 1 GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear shooter and a 2 megapixel front camera.

The ToughPad will be the most expensive tablet to hit the market with the 10-inch version starting at $1300.

The price for the 7-inch version has not been released, however both models should drop in the spring of next year.

Technology Website 9to5Google commented on the durability of this new product: “Looks like we have to wait awhile, but it might totally be worth it for some awesome drop tests,” wrote 9to5 Google.

The iPad 3 is also expected to be released sometime in 2012 and will include a new display with a higher resolution than previous models.

While everyone was drooling over the new iPhone 4S and Siri, Apple may have silently started production of its iPad 3. As per analysts, Apple has increased iPad supply orders and this spike is believed to be driven partly by the new iPad 3. Compared with last month supply chain checks, around 600,000 to one million iPad 3 builds are showing up on the plan for the fourth quarter of 2011. Analysts feel this indicates a spring launch for iPad 3 or even in March. That would be exactly one year after the release of iPad 2.

Is the market ready for another iPad? It will certainly cement Apple’s reign in the tablet market. In September, Gartner folks estimated that Apple will be totally dominating over its competitors until 2014. Apple is expected to command more than 50 percent of the market share consistently for the next 3 years.

More positive reviews are pouring in from critics for this week’s release of iPhone 4S. “The one and only disappointment i have with the iPhone 4S is that the shutdown spinner animation is still low-res”, one reviewer wrote. “That’s pretty low on the list of nits to pick”. Though iPhone 4S has the same shape of iPhone 4, it comes with a better processor, great camera and a revolutionary voice-based personal assistant well integrated with Artificial Intelligence from Apple’s partners. iPhone 4S received a record 1 million preorders on the first day. Preorder stock of all the carrier partners is already exhausted. Though users can still place preorders for iPhone 4S, it might take a couple of weeks to get it shipped. Looks like one more blockbuster launch for Apple is on the cards.
