In a year of historic drought, Ivory Homes was recognized by Utah Business Magazine with the 2021 Green Business Award for their commitments to water conservation. The Green Business Award honors those companies, communities, and individuals who are making strides towards our states environmental sustainability. This is the third Green Business Award in four years, recognizing Ivory Homes commitment to Green Business Leadership in 2018 with its 30,000-Tree Initiative and the Green Building Award in 2019 for an average HERS score of 53.As Ivory Homes grows and changes with Utah, we are committed to doing our part to take care of the natural beauty around us, said Clark Ivory, CEO of Ivory Homes. We believe using Localscapesreg; is a step in the right direction for both the environment and homeowners. As Utahs Number One Homebuilder, were proud to have forged these new partnerships, help our community save precious water and pass on the savings to our homebuyers. In an ever changing and drought prone Utah, Ivory Homes recognizes the importance of creating sustainable and Utah friendly water techniques in the many communities they build. Ivory Homes is committed to creating a more sustainable Utah and promoting water conservation to preserve our unique environment and allow communities to grow throughout the state. One of Ivory Homes many water conservation efforts recognized by the Utah Business Magazine for its large and lasing benefits in Utah communities includes the water-wise landscaping program, Localscapesreg;. Introduced in May of 2020, during National Water Week, Localscapesreg; provides homeowners throughout the state with both functional and beautiful, water-wise yards. By creatively arranging gathering areas, activity zones, paths, planting beds, and open spaces, as well as utilizing drought resistant trees plants and trees, water-wise landscaping creates effective space usage and beautiful yards that can save more than 60% of the water used in traditional Utah landscaping.By the end of 2021, Ivory Homes will have implemented Localscapesreg; in more than 1,000 new homes, saving a critical 59 million gallons of water annually during a year of historic drought. Using Localscapesreg;, an Ivory homeowner will save an average of 56,000 gallons of water per year, a notable amount that will greatly benefit Utah and our water supply continuously throughout the years.Ivory Homes continues to be a leading model in the market for water conservation as they recognize that, to create the most impact, it is important to work with those passionate about similar issues. Through partnerships with Slow the Flow, Jordan Valley, Central Utah, and Weber Basin Water Conservancy Districts, Ivory Homes promotes Localscapesreg; in many of their communities, encouraging their homebuyers to utilize these water and cost saving techniques.Ivory Homes further develops partnerships and aids state efforts to conserve water during this time of crisis by taking the Water Champion H2Oath, a pledge for Utah businesses to conserve water. In addition to receiving the 2021 Green Business Award, Governor Cox and the Salt Lake Chamber have recognized Ivory Homes for their exemplary water-wise efforts and highlighted them as a business model for how to desirably and profitably conserve water.Ivory Homes continues to aid state efforts to conserve water by installing WaterSense Certified and water-wise appliances such as toilets, faucets, and dishwashers in all their homes.Additionally, Ivory Homes aides in educating thousands of Utahns by providing all homeowners with the resources and tools to become more knowledgeable about how to save water by offering guides on water-wise landscaping techniques.Through their partnerships with local water districts, Ivory Homes continues to be an example for businesses on water conservation by offering homeowners free classes on how to design beautiful and customizable, water-wise landscaping. Additionally, Ivory Homes has been working with its community management partners to ensure community common spaces are following state and city guidelines related to watering and working with homeowners to do their part to Slow the Flow.In the end, Ivory Homes brings water conservation to the center and foundation of what makes Utah so great: the home. What happens at the home impacts our communities and environment statewide, so its fitting that Utahs leading home builder has committed so much to create sustainable change. Thanks to their water conscious efforts as they implement water-efficient landscaping and educate homeowners on water conservation, helping all of Utah become more water-wise, Ivory Homes and their homeowners save millions of gallons of water year after year for the state of Utah. The water saved by Ivory Homes efforts to promote water-wise techniques among their homeowners, especially during this year of drought, will help in preserving and protecting Utah communities and our beautiful environment for generations to come.To learn more about how Ivory Homes saves water through water-wise landscaping and how they help homebuyers Go Green and Save Green, go to www.ivorygreen.com.

We are so excited for this year#39;s Salt Lake Parade of Homes! Be sure to grab your tickets and come and see our New Haven home at Bell Canyon in Sandy - you do not want to miss it.First, we would like you to meet the people behind the design - Nina Tran, Mia Reeves, and Nicole Barnett (pictured left to right). This incredible group of designers has thought through every detail and corner of this home and their work speaks for itself. Through our signature homebuyer experience, you will work with our exceptional designers to bring your dream home to life. Our design team also has had a hand in every one of our unique home designs. At Ivory Homes we appreciate all of the team members and people that put so much effort, talent, and thought into building each of our homes. The New Haven Colonial is one of our most traditional homes. It has an architectural style with deep roots reminiscent of the classic homes found on the east coast. Our design team wanted to pay homage to the New Haven#39;s traditional facade and use the the exterior as our inspiration for the interior finishes. As you enter the home, you#39;ll be greeted by a formal entry complete with a stunning gallery wall of curated art in the stairway. There is also a beautiful home office with traditional wainscoting painted in a beautiful deep blue which helps introduce the primary color inspiration for the home - blue!We continue our theme of blue and white with additional touches of chartreuse in the primary family room. We wanted this room to feel a little more formal but also wanted to create a sense of elegant comfort. The velvet lounge chairs and overstuffed sofa create a soft landing space where one could easily relax. Touches of marble, chinoiserie accents and antiques add a level of luxury and a touch of whimsy. The family room opens to a formal dining space attached to a kitchen any chef would dream of. The light gray cabinetry is accented by a dark navy butler#39;s pantry and an unexpected pop of color on the chartreuse buffet adds a little eye candy and helps unite the space with the family room.In the basement we continue our theme of blue, white and chartreuse but in a less proper way. There is space to watch a movie, play pool and board games. Our favorite feature in the basement is the craft room. This creative space will inspire any one to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty in all the best ways. The bedrooms on the upper floor are not to be missed; each room has been given unique detailing to set it apart and make it shine. The wallpapered ceiling in the nursery, the amazing view from the back bedroom is perfectly framed by custom drapery and the front bedroom is a little dramatic with a textured blue wallpaper and red accents. The primary bedroom is truly a refuge from the outside world. The soft blue wainscoting and hand painted wallpaper establishes a distinctive flair while the soft upholstered settee and velvet ottoman beckon one to relax and kick up their feet after a long day. This home has also been Water Wise landscaped to save up to two thirds of the amount of water that a regular yard uses. We love to show off our homebuyers. Within the walls of every home designed and built with Ivory is the story of an individual or family hitting one of the biggest milestones in life: homeownership. And whether that is for the first time or the tenth time, we celebrate every one as an accomplishment. No one deserves to celebrate this achievement more than Heidi a mother and cancer survivor.Over the last decade Heidi has overcome some of lifes greatest challenges on the road to becoming a homeowner.Im still kind of in shock it still hasnt registered, Heidi said. I didnt ever think it was possible. Its been a journey, but we are here now.The journey started in 2009 when everything seemed to pile on all at once. In June she went through a nasty divorce and then in November was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. With the lack of support from her ex-husband and medical bills piling up, Heidi started living out of her car. During her two and a half years of chemo treatment, she also went back to school to get a degree.Although she admits it was a tough time, she remains extremely grateful for the support of her daughter and new husband, someone she had met while she was sick.I wouldnt be as blessed as I am if I didnt have to struggle so hard, Heidi said. [They have] been there every step of the way.Making it through the tough times with her head up has landed Heidi in a position of opportunity for homeownership; something that means so much to someone who, at one point did not have a permanent place to call home.We would just drive around and look at houses and dream, cause we didnt think it was possible, she commented. After looking around at different homes for a few months, they ended up coming back to one of the first ones they had visited.I had heard about Ivory since I was little, and the quality and team are awesome, Heidi said. They were sold. With the help of their Ivory Homes sales consultant, Jaymie Cheney, they picked out their lot and decided on the 2000 Traditional design. This plan is bright and roomy with some incredible features like an open great room with vaulted ceilings and a gourmet kitchen and dining area. Not to mention four bedrooms on the main floor with the potential for 3 more in the basement. Plenty of space to grow and entertain. They are the most kind and humble people, Jaymie commented. It is amazing. When you come from a background like that and you really know whats important in life, you just value it! They are so kind and really fun too.To further prove her point, and getting a little bit teary, Jaymie said, They are just grateful for every single thing they get, so the process was a pleasure, even in these crazy times. They just appreciate everything! Nobody deserves this more than they do.Heidi is looking forward to watching the progress on her Ivory home as it is being built this year. As Utahs Number One Homebuilder we are committed to helping first time homebuyers like Heidi and her family. The Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes is afoot. We always look forward to participating in these events and are excited to show off what Ivory Homes has to offer. This year#39;s homes will not disappoint!First, we would like you to meet the people behind the design - Nina Tran, Mia Reeves, and Nicole Barnett (pictured left to right). This incredible group of designers has thought through every detail and corner of these homes and their work speaks for itself. At Ivory Homes we appreciate all of the team members and people that put so much effort, talent, and thought into building each of our homes.Welcome to the Brisbane! The Brisbane can be found in our amazing Flat Rock subdivision in Farmington. It is surrounded by beautiful farmland and lots of open space. Our design team took inspiration from this location and wanted to create a unique farmhousebut we knew it could not be any old farmhouse; this home needed to be a little funky and a little traditional with a little bit of folky flair. Our spark of inspiration for this home came from one our favorite designers, Kit Kemp. Kit is a British designer who is the queen of mixing amazing textiles, antique treasures, and new pieces that bring a sense of joy. We really took to heart her ethos that, design is not something to fear, but instead something to be embraced and enjoyed. As you walk into this home, you will be welcomed with a statement focal wall mixing antique transferware plates with faux antlers and a stunning vintage hand painted Dutch bench. This sets the tone for the rest of the home and as you enter the kitchen, you will see the black cabinetry softened with stained accents to ground the hub of the home and provide the perfect neutral backdrop. Colorfully patterned dining chairs and drapery bring levity to the room and help move the eye to the family room where stained beams and custom wainscoting set the scene for even more color and drama. The mixed patterns of the bespoke upholstered furniture combined with more antique accent pieces create a warm, inviting space.Moving into the owner#39;s bedroom you will be embraced by our custom-made headboard that creates quite a statement. Our team used a vintage folk tapestry pinned to the headboard as the springboard for the rest of the rooms interior design. An antique Hungarian armoire brings warmth and depth to the space and plays well with the other black and white accents. The other bedrooms in the home continue the theme of bright colors and antique flair to build a lived in and cozy atmosphere. The basement has a fun sense of humor and brings a little lightheartedness with an old Carousel horse from the 1920s, a variety of vintage circus posters and old school metal signage. The space beckons you to relax and have fun playing foosball, shuffleboard, and a competitive game of pool.We hope you leave this home feeling inspired by the visual feast of color and feel encouraged to create your own inviting brightly colored space to be embraced and enjoyed by your friends and family for years to come. Our second beautiful parade home, the 3000 Farmhouse, is found in ourCranefield Estatescommunity in Clinton. Cranefield is one of our largest communities in northern Utah, offering opportunities for buyers at any stage and price point. There are also a lot of community-centered activities and events put on by the homeowner#39;s association, as well as plenty of amenities including a pool, parks, walking trails and a nearby golf course, shopping and restaurants. The largest of all the Ivory Collection homes, the 3000 Farmhouse is spacious, beautiful and practical. In addition to the large kitchen, dining area, and great room, the main floor also has a flex room that could be used for any number of purposes, a full dining room, and the option to add a covered patio. Upstairs you#39;ll find the beautiful owner#39;s bedroom as well as two additional bedrooms, the laundry room, and a huge game room. This home is perfect for anyone who wants room to play, work and grow.To top it all off, both of these homes (and many others in Ivory neighborhoods across the state) are landscaped to be Water Wise as part of our effort to conserve water and go green. The Brisbane lot only has 30% lawn of the entire landscape area, with the remaining 70% being used as beds, gardens and activity areas. A lot of similar size would use 681,000 gallons of water per year for landscape watering. But by using Water Wise techniques it is estimated that this lot will save 403,000 gallons per year if watered properly. And for the Cranefield home, a lot of similar size would use 180,000 gallons per year, with an estimated water savings of 97,500 gallons per year. You can learn more about what we are doing to Go Green athttps://ivoryhomes.com/green/

Parade season is upon us, and the homes this year do not disappoint! Ivory Homes has two homes along the route in Utah county: The 2200 Farmhouse at Overland in Eagle Mountain, and the Montclair at Holbrook Farms in Lehi. Both are stunning and worth a visit.First, we would like you to meet the people behind the design - Nina Tran, Mia Reeves, and Nicole Barnett (pictured left to right). This incredible group of designers has thought through every detail and corner of these homes and their work speaks for itself. At Ivory Homes we appreciate all of the team members and people that put so much effort, talent, and thought into building each of our homes. When designing this Montclair Bachelor Pad, our team wanted the space to be packed with drama, rich tones, and moody flair. The inspiration behind the home is menswear mixed with classic touches to create a suave and unapologetic feel. The home features dark color tones for walls, flooring, and cabinetry with additional accents of matte black and gold. The furnishings in the Montclair are a combination of vintage finds, bespoke furniture and bold prints creating an eclectic and timeless space. Our team used different textures and scale to bring interest to the space with faux fur, velvet, leather, and woven rugs. The bedrooms, including the master suite, continue to reflect our assured, masculine concept. Each upholstered bed is custom made with hand-selected fabrics. The loft features a music room with vintage pieces contrasted beautifully by modern elements. The basement provides separate seating for entertaining, lounging, and games with an additional room for exercise. The bold print on the basement sectional provokes further visual interest and a lasting final statement. The 2200 Farmhouse plan brings affordability, comfort, and beauty into perfect harmony. It features an open floor plan with a spacious kitchen that is perfect for hosting and entertaining. For the purpose of convenience living, a main floor master suite gives this plan its functionality. The upstairs level offers additional bedrooms for extra family members or guests. Aside from the charming inside, the exterior of this home is beautiful as well, featuring the perfect front porch and large windows. All of our Collection homes now offer an optional home office feature as well. Last but not least, this model is an EV-ready home that is a perfect starter home for any tech-savvy electric vehicle owner.

This past week, South Jordan City and Ivory Homes celebrated the completion of nine new affordable homes for city and local school district employees through a unique workforce housing collaboration.Utah has a very real housing crisis, both in terms of availability but also affordability that goes beyond our community#39;s most vulnerable and quickly pricing out first-time homebuyers and our frontline employees, said Clark Ivory, CEO of Ivory Homes.We#39;re so appreciative of South Jordan#39;s leadership and collaboration on this effort. I am hopeful that other city leaders will look to this partnership and collaborate to keep Utah an affordable place to call home. The Bingham Court Workforce Partnership includes innovative zoning and infrastructure cost sharing to allow for deed-restricted, affordable homes for frontline workers. This comes from unprecedented levels of demand for housing and affordability challenges in Utah.South Jordan Police Officer Weeks and his wife, Jessika, one of the nine homebuyers shared their appreciation for the opportunity to live in the city in which he works. This is a huge opportunity for us to deliver equity and opportunity to very valued city employees, Ivory said.Joshua Timothy, a city employee who is buying one of the homes, shared with KSL just how important it is that homeownership is now possible for his family.It#39;s been stressful watching the house prices go up faster than you can save money for, he said. We had to honestly decide not to buy a home this year. We were just going to pile up money and maybe in a couple years think about it. Finding a program like this was crucial just to be able to get into the market in a hard time.Since 2018 when the program was introduced, Ivory Homes has closed more than 400 of these Workforce Housing Priority homes across the Wasatch Front. The program reserves the most affordable homes for our community#39;s critical workforce and first-time homebuyers. We simply don#39;t have enough housing to meet the current demand and projections show we are going to need substantially more, said South Jordan Mayor Dawn Ramsey. The city of South Jordan wanted to be proactive and expand housing options, especially for those who serve its community and greatly appreciate our partnership with Ivory Homes to make that possible. This is exactly the type of collaboration our state needs to address this critical issue. The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute estimates Utah#39;s extreme housing shortage, estimated at 50,000 units, robust demand, and limited new supply are creating pressures to having the median sales price of a home in the Salt Lake area at $736,000 in the next 25 years. Just in the past year, the Salt Lake area has had a nearly 20% increase in home values according to research by RedFin.We are all in this together to make sure our kids and our City employees - our police and firefighters - and educators can afford to call our communities home, now and in the future. They make our City great, and this partnership with Ivory gave us the tools to give them a chance to make a brighter future for themselves and their families, Ramsey said.https://kslnewsradio.com/1947777/affordable-housing-project-in-south-jordan/

Ivory Homes is excited to announce that The Barn at Overland is now open. This beautiful building is meant to be a gathering place; a spot for parties, community events, and even special occasions like weddings. This venue will be opened up to the greater community for event space rentals, but residents of Overland have exclusive rights and access. With its rustic, modern farmhouse look, The Barn itself includes the welcoming center, a Grand Hall, boardroom, and homestead room. Outside there are electric vehicle chargers, plenty of beautiful landscaping including a future pergola, fire pit, playground and pool. Not to mention a small amphitheater for community concerts, entertainment, and movie-in-the-park events, emphasizing the tone of the fun atmosphere and active lifestyle enjoyed by the community at Overland.Overland is one of Ivorys largest master-planned communities, eventually having more than 3,000 homeowners who call the community home. This neighborhood consists of a variety of homes that appeal to all types of buyers, creating an ideal, diversified community for those looking to move up, down, or purchase a home for the very first time.Nestled along the western side of the Lake Mountains, Overland not only provides big views, but an escape from the big city while enabling its residents to feel a strong sense of community. This is achieved by Overlands close proximity to schools, trails, and multiple nearby parks. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy breathing the inversion-free air, exploring the nearby Historic Pony Express trail, and playing pick-up games of baseball or soccer at one of the many nearby fields. And now we can add The Barn to the list of all the great reasons to live in Overland. Not only is The Barn an excellent spot for summer hang outs, pool parties and weddings, but it is also extremely energy efficient, making it one of the greenest buildings Ivory has ever built! It features a 63 KW solar panel system to save about $8,000 in electricity costs each year. The Barn was built with 2x8 walls to allow for better insulated walls. There is an air sealing process called Aerobarrier that was used to cut down on air leakage in the building so energy isnt needlessly wasted. And we would like to include a big thank you to Eagle Mountain City and Mayor Tom Westmoreland for your support and help with this project.Pricing information and details on how to reserve The Barn can be found HERE.At Overland, were not just about building great homes, but creating a great community.
