Stages of man's embryonic development in the Quran

In the Holy Quran, God speaks about the stages of man's embryonic development, 1,400 years before modern day scientists 'discovered' important information on creation of man and his development.

In 1980 ( Dr. Keith Leon Moore is a professor emeritus in the division of anatomy, in the Faculty of Surgery, at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada) was invited to Saudi Arabia to lecture on anatomy and embryology at King Abdulaziz University. While he was there, Moore was approached by the Embryology Committee of King Abdulaziz University for his assistance in interpreting certain verses in the Qur’an and some sayings in the Hadiths which referred to human reproduction and embryological development. Moore says that he was amazed at the scientific accuracy of some of the statements which were made in the 7th century AD:

"For the past three years, I have worked with the Embryology Committee of King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, helping them interpret the many statements in the Qur’an and Sunnah referring to human reproduction and prenatal development. At first I was astonished by the accuracy of the statements that were recorded in the 7th century AD, before the science of embryology was established." - Dr. Moore

The oldest Quran Scans Released

Birmingham University have found fragments of potentially the world’s oldest Quran, which was completed at the very latest 20 years after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The ancient fragments of the nearly 1400 year old Quran was very likely transcribed by one of the the Prophet’s companions, possibly under the supervision of the Prophet himself. Despite being so old, upon examination it has been found to be identical to the in print Quran today.

"Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing)." (Qur'an Al-Imran 3:185)

The slave loves to meet Allah and has an ardent desire to look at Him Subhannahu wa Ta’ala. It can not be imaginedthat the heart can love Allah except that it desires to meet Him and to see Him.
An ardent desire to meet Allah is a highand elevated station that emerges from a strong love of Allah Azza wa Jalla.

Abu Ad Darda’a (Radiyallahu anhu) used to say:

“I love death, desiring the meeting with my Lord. I love poverty, humbling myself to my Lord. And I love sickness in order that my sins might be expiated.”

How many of us desire to meet Allah? Are we ready to meet him? Have you packed your bags?

When we pack our bags to go visit far away living friends, we remember to pack our clothes, shoes, bathroom neccesities and other little things ....

Since we could understand right from wrong, we have started packing our bags and will finish when our souls leave us.

Have you packed your salah everyday?
Have you packed your fasting?
Have you packed your reading and memorizing the quran?
Have you packed those little things we do and get ajar for?
Have you?

Our bags are called life. We have to pack everyday because we don't know when Allah wil call us back too him, so we have to be ready too go all the time, any where.

And on the way up to Allah, you don't get any U-turns so that you could go back and get the things you forgot to pack. So start packing if you already haven't, and don't forget, there's no such thing as too many bags when were packing for our trip to Allah.

1500 year-old Bible found in Turkey, Jesus Christ Was Not Crucified, Vatican in shock!

Much to the dismay of the Vatican, an approx. 1500-2000 year old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara. Discovered and kept secret in the year 2000, the book contains the Gospel of Barnabas – a disciple of Christ – which shows that Jesus was not crucified, nor was he the son of God, but a Prophet. The book also calls Apostle Paul “The Impostor”. The book also claims that Jesus ascended to heaven alive, and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place.

A report by The National Turk says that the Bible was seized from a gang of smugglers in a Mediterranean-area operation. The report states the gang was charged with smuggling antiquities, illegal excavations, and the possession of explosives. The books itself is valued as high as 40 Million Turkish Liras (approx. 28 mil. Dollars). Man, where is the Thieves Guild, when you need them?

Authenticity

According to reports, experts and religious authorities in Tehram insist that the book is original. The book itself is written with gold lettering, onto loosely-tied leather in Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ. The text maintains a vision similar to Islam, contradicting the New Testament’s teachings of Christianity. Jesus also foresees the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, who would found Islam 700 years later.

It is believed that, during the Council of Nicea, the Catholic Church hand-picked the gospels that form the Bible as we know it today; omitting the Gospel of Barnabas (among many others) in favor of the four canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Many biblical texts have begun to surface over time, including those of the Dead Sea and Gnostic Gospels; but this book especially, seems to worry the Vatican.

Vatican Requests 1,500-Year-Old Bible Held In Turkey

What does this mean to Christian-derived religions and their followers? Quite a tight spot. The Vatican has asked Turkish authorities to let them examine the contents of the book within the Church. Now that the book has been found, will they come to accept the it and its evidence? Will they deny it altogether? Call it a “Muslim lie”, as did the “Truth” Magazine, in 2000? To many, this book is a beacon of hope, that believers soon realize that the object of their adoration is arbitrary; and that all text, especially religious text, is subject to interpretation.

What does this mean to atheists/agnostics/secular thinkers? Is the text real? Fake? Does it matter? Hopefully, this news inspires the religious to ask questions, instead of pointing fingers or believing anything blindly. Please, don’t go poking fun or tossing around the “I told you so!”s. The biggest danger of faith is when people believe what they want to believe, defending against any and all evidence; especially when that evidence revolutionizes their foundation from the ground up. And the biggest culprit to that danger is the ego trap: rejecting/criticizing others, for being unlike you. For centuries, the “defense” of blind faith has driven nations to war, violence, discrimination, slavery and to become the society of automatons that we are today; and for just as long, it has been justified with lies. If you know better, act like it.

There is not a single verse in the bible that says Jesus (peace be upon him) was born on the 25th of December. There is not a single verse in the bible that says anything regarding “Christmas” or “Santa” itself. There is not a single verse in the bible that Jesus declares to be God.

God does not need eat, Jesus did. God does not sleep, Jesus slept. God does not pray, Jesus prayed. God is independent, Jesus is dependent as he prayed. God is All Knowing, Jesus has limited knowledge and is not all knowing.

Jesus prayed, Muslims pray. Jesus fasted, Muslims fast. Jesus kept a beard and so do Muslim men. We love Jesus (peace be upon him) he is our role model. Even his mother Mary who we Muslims call her as Maryam she wore a scarf, full loose veil which Muslim women wear because both were Muslims.

Jesus (peace be upon him) came with a simple message, to tell his nation to worship One God without any partners. Bible has been edited several times, there are so many versions and contradictions. God sent down another Prophet who was called Muhammad (peace be upon him) he came to mankind not just one nation. This is the last prophet with the last revelation as God said he will protect this book from being altered and changed. This book is the Qur’an till this day it has never been changed or altered.

We invite you to look further and investigate Islam. Islam is not just another religion. It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. Islam literally means ‘˜submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshiped except God alone. It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.

The concept of God is summarized in the Qur’an as: "Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him". [Quran 112:1-4]

Becoming a Muslim is not changing or losing your Christian identity. But it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus. Guidance ultimately comes from God. We ask God to guide us and you. God says:

And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, “O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad.” But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, “This is obvious magic.” [Quran 61 : 6]

May God’s peace and blessing be upon you for the rest of your days.

Quran 4:46: “Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] usages and say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard" and "Ra'ina," twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said [instead], "We hear and obey" and "Wait for us [to understand]," it would have been better for them and more suitable. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.”

Quran 4:83: “And when there comes to them information about [public] security or fear, they spread it around. But if they had referred it back to the Messenger or to those of authority among them, then the ones who [can] draw correct conclusions from it would have known about it. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have followed Satan, except for a few.”

Quran 4:155: “And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped". Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.”

Quran 5:13: “So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. But pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.”

Quran 8:26: “And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful.”

Quran 11:40: “[So it was], until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We said, "Load upon the ship of each [creature] two mates and your family, except those about whom the word has preceded, and [include] whoever has believed." But none had believed with him, except a few.”

Quran 11:116: “So why were there not among the generations before you those of enduring discrimination forbidding corruption on earth - except a few of those We saved from among them? But those who wronged pursued what luxury they were given therein, and they were criminals.”

Quran 7:131: “But when good came to them, they said, "This is ours [by right]." And if a bad [condition] struck them, they saw an evil omen in Moses and those with him. Unquestionably, their fortune is with Allah , but most of them do not know.”

Quran 7:187: “They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Quran 8:34: “But why should Allah not punish them while they obstruct [people] from al-Masjid al- Haram and they were not [fit to be] its guardians? Its [true] guardians are not but the righteous, but most of them do not know.”

Quran 9:8: “How [can there be a treaty] while, if they gain dominance over you, they do not observe concerning you any pact of kinship or covenant of protection? They satisfy you with their mouths, but their hearts refuse [compliance], and most of them are defiantly disobedient.”

Quran 10:60: “And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allah on the Day of Resurrection? Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of them are not grateful."

Quran 10:92: “So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless”

Quran 11:17: “So is one who [stands] upon a clear evidence from his Lord [like the aforementioned]? And a witness from Him follows it, and before it was the Scripture of Moses to lead and as mercy. Those [believers in the former revelations] believe in the Qur'an. But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - the Fire is his promised destination. So be not in doubt about it. Indeed, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe.”

Quran 12:21: “And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife, "Make his residence comfortable. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we will adopt him as a son." And thus, We established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know.”

Quran 12:38: “And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And it was not for us to associate anything with Allah . That is from the favor of Allah upon us and upon the people, but most of the people are not grateful.”

Quran 12:40: “You worship not besides Him except [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. Legislation is not but for Allah . He has commanded that you worship not except Him. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.”

Quran 12:68: “And when they entered from where their father had ordered them, it did not avail them against Allah at all except [it was] a need within the soul of Jacob, which he satisfied. And indeed, he was a possessor of knowledge because of what We had taught him, but most of the people do not know.”

Quran 12:103: “And most of the people, although you strive [for it], are not believers.”

Quran 16:38: “And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths [that] Allah will not resurrect one who dies. But yes - [it is] a true promise [binding] upon Him, but most of the people do not know.”

Quran 16:75: “Allah presents an example: a slave [who is] owned and unable to do a thing and he to whom We have provided from Us good provision, so he spends from it secretly and publicly. Can they be equal? Praise to Allah ! But most of them do not know.”

Quran 16:101: “And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.”

Quran 17:89: “And We have certainly diversified for the people in this Qur'an from every [kind] of example, but most of the people refused [anything] except disbelief.”

Quran 21:24: “Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muhammad], "Produce your proof. This [Qur'an] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me." But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.”

Quran 23:70: “Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse.”

Quran 25:50: “And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.”

Quran 26:8: “Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.”

Quran 27:73: “And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude."

Quran 28:13: “So We restored him to his mother that she might be content and not grieve and that she would know that the promise of Allah is true. But most of the people do not know.”

Quran 28:57: “And they say, "If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would be swept from our land." Have we not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.”

Quran 30:8: “Do they not contemplate within themselves? Allah has not created the heavens and the earth and what is between them except in truth and for a specified term. And indeed, many of the people, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, are disbelievers.”

Quran 30:30: “So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah . That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.”

Quran 30:42: “Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah.”

Quran 31:25: “And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth?" they would surely say, " Allah ." Say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah "; but most of them do not know.”

Quran 34:28: “And We have not sent you except comprehensively to mankind as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. But most of the people do not know.”

Quran 34:36: “Say, "Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it], but most of the people do not know."

Quran 34:41: “They will say, "Exalted are You! You, [O Allah ], are our benefactor not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them."

Quran 39:29: “Allah presents an example: a slave owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah ! But most of them do not know.”

Quran 39:49: “And when adversity touches man, he calls upon Us; then when We bestow on him a favor from Us, he says, "I have only been given it because of [my] knowledge." Rather, it is a trial, but most of them do not know.”

Quran 40:61: “It is Allah who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day giving sight. Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people are not grateful.”

Quran 41:4: “As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear.”

Quran 49:4: “Indeed, those who call you, [O Muhammad], from behind the chambers - most of them do not use reason.”

Quran 52:47: “And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.”

Quran 57:16: “Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.”

Quran 57:26: “And We have already sent Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.”

Quran 57:27: “Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah . But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.”

Quran 2:109: “Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves [even] after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.”

Quran 5:49: “And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away - then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient.”

Quran 5:62: “And you see many of them hastening into sin and aggression and the devouring of [what is] unlawful. How wretched is what they have been doing.”

Quran 5:68: “Say, "O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord." And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.”

Quran 5:77: “Say, "O People of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way."

Quran 5:80: “You see many of them becoming allies of those who disbelieved. How wretched is that which they have put forth for themselves in that Allah has become angry with them, and in the punishment they will abide eternally.”

Quran 6:6: “Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others.”

Quran 7:4: “And how many cities have We destroyed, and Our punishment came to them at night or while they were sleeping at noon.”

Quran 7:179: “And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like livestock; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless.”

Quran 9:34: “O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah . And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah - give them tidings of a painful punishment.”

Quran 14:36: “My Lord, indeed they have led astray many among the people. So whoever follows me - then he is of me; and whoever disobeys me - indeed, You are [yet] Forgiving and Merciful.”

Quran 19:74: “And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance?”

Quran 71:24: “And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error."

Turn Back and Thank Allah

A man was in his jeep stuck in a traffic, he saw a man flying over him in plane. He started praying to ALLAH that ALLAH should make him fly like this to avoid all the traffic jam and when he turned back, he saw a man in his small car praying to ALLAH to give him a jeep like that of the man to avoid all the heat he was experiencing. Dis man also turned back and saw another man on motorbike praying to ALLAH to give him a small car to avoid the direct sunlight over his head. Dis man also turned back and saw another man walking on a bridge praying to ALLAH to give him a motorbike to help avoid de long distance of crossing de bridge. Dis man turned back and saw a handicapped praying to ALLAH to have given him legs to cross de bridge without a wheelchair. De handicapped turned and saw an ambulance with a sick person praying to ALLAH to give him life even if he has no legs. Moral lesson. No matter what your conditions maybe, always remember to be grateful to ALLAH at all times, because what others go through is worst than what you are going through.

"The life of this world is nothing more than play and pastime. The abode of the hereafter is certainly far better for the pious. Do you not understand? " [Quran 6:32]

Were the heavens vacated, when He laid under the ground somewhere?

Were all the worlds left without a God, to manage while His hands were nailed?

Why did not the angels help Him, when they heard him while he wailed?

How could the rods stand to bear the True Lord when He was fastened,

How could the irons reached Him and [had] His body pinned?

How could His enemies hands reach Him and slap His rear,

And was Christ revived by himself, or was the Reviver another god?

What a sight it was, a grave that enclosed a god,
Stranger still is the belly that confined Him!

He stayed there for nine months in utter darkness, fed by blood!

Then he got out of the womb as a small baby,
Weak and gasping to be breast-fed!

He ate and drank, and did what that naturally resulted,
Is this [what you call] a god?

High Exalted be Allah above the lies of Christians,
All of them will be held accountable for their libels!

O Cross-worshippers! For what reason is this exalted
and blame [is cast upon those] who reject it?

Is it not logical to break and burn it, along with the one who innovated it?

Since the Lord was crucified on it, and his hands were fastened to it?

That is really a cursed cross to carry,
So discard it, do not kiss it!

The Lord was abused on it, and you adore it?
So [it is clear that] you are one of His enemies!

If you extol it because it carried the Lord of the Worlds,

Why don’t you prostrate yourself and worship graves,

Since the grave contained your god in it?

So Christ-worshipper, open your eyes,
This is the Beginning and this is the End.

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Bountiful.

Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, in establishing His Lordship and Oneness posses the question, the meaning of which is:

"Were they created without a Lord or have they created themselves? Or have they created the heavens and earth? Rather, they have no faith!" [Quran: 52:35-36]

Allah (God) is, more glorious, exalted and greater than to be in need of signs and examples to prove His existence. Your presence within itself is a proof of the existence of the Creator, for He brought you into existence out of nothing. Allah Said:

"And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty. And also in your own selves. Will you not then see?" [Quran: 51:21]

There are different narrations of how Abu Haneefah tackled the issue, in one such narration he was asked to participate in a debate with some atheists. On the appointed date and time of the debate, the atheists arrived along with a great number of people attending the debate. Abu Haneefah was nowhere to be seen, they waited and waited and eventually one of the atheists announced, to the cheers of the atheists, that atheism was victorious as Abu Haneefah did not show out of fear of being defeated. Just then Abu Haneefah shows up and upon being asked why he was late he responded.

“I missed the ferry crossing the river, so while I was waiting for the next one, branches of trees started coming together all of a sudden, along with ropes, nails and other materials. I watched as they came together to form a fully functional ship. I boarded it and it took me, all on its own, to the other side. It then went on a trip across the oceans to trade some of its goods all on its own.”

Upon hearing this, the atheists said:

“This man is mad, no one can say such a thing except a mad man, a ship made itself!”

Abu Haneefah responded:

“The heavens and earth and the countless creatures within them that are in need of direction, all this without a maker!”

Their argument was destroyed, they returned to the truth and embraced Islam.

Creating the scenes

A video purporting to show a Syrian boy under gunfire pretending to be dead in order to rescue a young girl has been viewed over 5 million times.

Some may find the content of the video disturbing. While many have proclaimed the boy as an inspirational hero, its authenticity has been widely questioned.

#BBCtrending spoke to Amira Galal of BBC Monitoring's Middle East team about the difficulties of verifying the truth behind it.

Update: Since writing this blog, BBC Trending has confirmed that the video was faked, after speaking to a group of Norwegian filmmakers who said they shot the video in Malta earlier this year.

This is a good example how the public can be fooled over media's propagandas and brainwash people's attitudes towards a subject. Examples such as September 11, ISIL beheading scenes, Planes Hijacking, etc...

This event is a good wake-up call for all Muslims and Non-Muslims, It is obvious when false news spread; the hidden truth travels with it and once day it's bound to overtake the falsehood.

"And say: 'Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish.' " [Quran 17:81]

Secrets your wife won't tell you

Most men have a hard time understanding women. Even a woman they've been married to for years. One minute she’s perfectly fine, the next, she’s crying like a baby. She complains about something but when we offer advice on how to fix it, she still isn't satisfied. After several years of marriage (and counseling) I've learned to not worry so much about what my wife says. Instead, I should worry about what she doesn’t say.

1. Above all, She Wants Your love

When a wife shows her husband less respect, he in turn shows her less love.

And when a husband shows his wife less love, she in turn shows him less respect.

And the vicious cycle repeats itself.

Stop this prophecy before it becomes self-fulfilling. Show love to your wife.

That’s what she wants. Love her despite her flaws and quirks.

And Inshallah, she'll respect you despite your flaws and quirks.

2. She’s Bored

It’s the same thing every day.

Week in and week out.

Not only is she bored but she’s also tired.

She has to care for the kids and run the household and then pamper you.

Just thinking about doing that every day makes me want to crawl under my covers and hide. I can imagine how the average Muslim housewife must feel.

And let’s not forget about working woman. Many Muslim women have to work a full time job as well as hold a house down.

So brothers, I implore you, make your wife feel special. Give her a break.

Take her out sometimes. Surprise her with a surprise meal. Bring her favorite desert home.

Just do something every now and then to break the monotony.

3. She Wants to be Complimented

Appreciation. Everybody wants it. No one wants to feel as if the hard work they do goes unnoticed or even worse, it taken for granted.

Your wife does not have to clean your dirty clothes. And she does not have to cook your meals. But she does. And she does that on top of all the other things in her life:

Caring for the kids.
Working or going to school.
Striving to be a better Muslimah.

Show your Muslim wife that you appreciate and are thankful for the things she does to maintain you and your family. A simple “thank you” is a good start.

4. She’s Insanely Jealous

There’s a reason most women don't care for polygamy. Be very careful how you talk about other women around your wife. Don't ever compare your wife to another woman.

Don't compare her to some female movie star.
Don't compare her to your mother.
Never, ever compare her to your ex-wife (or other wife!)

She’s wants to know and believe that she is the center of your universe. So make her feel that way.

Even the Prophet’s (pbuh) wives got jealous. Aisha (RA) even got jealous of Khadijah (RA) who was dead.

Expect, and respect, the same type of jealousy from your wife.

5. She Wants You to Help Her become A Better Muslimah

I can't stress enough the importance of men taking the role of leader within their families.

And that’s the problem with a lot of Muslim men these days.

Not only are they not being good leaders, they're being led by their wives (or mothers, or other women in their lives).

Your wife desires and wants you to be her leader. And what better way to lead her than to be show her how to be a better Muslimah?

But you can't show her how to become better if you're not that great either. Therefore, you have to upgrade your Iman. You have to improve yourself and then pass it on to her in a gentle, respectful way.

6. She Doesn't Like to Nag, But Sometimes You Make It Hard

It’s a common myth that women like to nag their husbands. That’s not entirely true.

Yes, there are some people (men and women) whom you can never please. No matter what you do, they'll always find fault in something. Let’s be reminded of the following hadith:

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The Prophet said: “I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful.” It was asked, “Do they disbelieve in Allah?” (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, “They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, ‘I have never received any good from you.” – Sahih Bukhari.

So, yes sisters should be careful about denigrating the things your husband does for you.

But very often, you brother, make it hard for her to hold your tongue.

Perhaps you're always finding fault with her and she looks for things in your character to get even.

Perhaps you’re not working (or not working hard enough) and she has to work to take up some slack.

Perhaps you're just not that great of a guy.

Once again, upgrade yourself and give her less reasons to complain and nag.

7. More Than Anything, She Wants a Stable, Happy Relationship With You

Women don't get married just because they think it’s gonna be fun.

They get married because they want a happy family life and they believe youre gonna give it to them.

Outside of her religious duties, that’s the most important thing in a Muslim woman’s life. Raising a happy, stable, Muslim family.

The funny thing is, it’s very easy for you to give that to her.

Stop acting like a jerk. Be a good husband to her. Be kind. Show her you love her.
Don’t threaten her with divorce or taking a second wife. Yes, you have the right to do both. But using them as threats is inappropriate and detrimental to your marriage.
Trust in Allah, watch out for the tricks of Shaytan, and be patient with her. There’s nothing Shaytan would love more than to destroy your marriage.

See? That isn't all that hard, now is it?

The City Mosque was officially opened on 2nd of February 2000

The second main mosque in Kota Kinabalu is City Mosque at Likas Bay at the north coastal highway. It is another impressive example of a marvelous architecture, it resembles in some ways the design of the Masjid al-Nabawi, in Saudi Arabia. The City Mosque is built on a man-made lagoon, which creates a feeling that the mosque is floating above the water.

The prayer room can accommodate up to 12.000 worshippers at one time.

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “He who does not thank people is unthankful to Allah.” [Abu Dawud]

A young man went to apply for a managerial position in a big company and got to the final interview with the Director. The young man's academic achievements were excellent so the Director asked if he had won any scholarships. The young man replied that he hadn’t. "Was it your father then who paid your tuition?" asked the Director. "My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid my school fees” he replied. "Where did your mother work?" asked the Director. "My mother worked as a laundress” said the young man. So the Director requested the young man to show his hands. The young man showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

"Have you ever helped your mother wash clothes?" asked the Director. “Never, my mother always wanted me to study. Besides, my mother can wash clothes faster than I can.” So the Director requested him to go home, wash his mother’s hands and return to him the following day.

The young man felt that his chances of landing the job were high. So when he got back home, he asked his mother to let him wash her hands. His tears fell as he noticed for the first time that his mother's hands were so wrinkled and bruised. Some bruises were so painful that his mother winced when he touched them.

This was the first time that he realized that it was this pair of hands that washed clothes everyday that enabled him to study. The bruises on her hands were the price that she paid for his future. After cleaning his mother hands the youth quietly washed the remaining clothes for her. That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

The next morning when the Director asked what he had learned yesterday the young man replied, "I know now what appreciation is. Without my mother, I would not be who I am today. By helping my mother, only now do I realize how tough it is to get something done on your own. And I have come to appreciate the importance of helping one’s family.”

The Director said, "This is what I am looking for in a manger. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings others have to go through to get things done, and a person who won’t have money as his only goal in life. You are hired.”

A child who is excessively protected and habitually given what he wants tends to develop an "entitlement mentality," always putting himself first and ignorant of others’ efforts. Love your children but in a way that doesn't destroy them. Let them wash the dishes, cut the grass, take care of younger siblings, and in general help themselves and others, so they are raised right.

Ashura - The Tenth Day of Muharram

As we know, Ashura is the tenth day of Muharram; the first month of the Islamic lunar year. The start of lunar months, besides Ramadan and Dhu’l-Hijjah for those performing hajj, is decided based on one of two criteria: a) sighting the new moon and b) the completion of the previous month. This view is found to be agreed on by all scholars based on the prophetic tradition, ‘Fast when you see it (the moon) and cease fasting when you see it, and if it is hidden or cloudy, complete the counting of Sha’ban as thirty days.’

The second principle applies only in the absence of the first, which is to complete thirty days for the month of Sha’ban. The basis for this is also mentioned in the hadith as well as by means of many other (similar) statements. It has been stated by a number of jurists that the overwhelming majority of scholars have agreed not to consider astronomy or calculations as a tool to confirm the beginning of hijri months.

So the individual should calculate when Ashura would take place if Dhu’l-Hijjah were either 29 or 30 days, and then fast these two consecutive days. Thus the fasting individual should be certain that he has fasted Ashura and would have fasted either the ninth and tenth, or the tenth and eleventh, both of which are good. For example, this year (1436h) Muharram began on the 25th of October according to most calendars. However, last month (which was the year 1435h), Dhu’l-Hijjah was 30 days. This means that the start of this Muharram was determined according to completion of 30 days of the preceding month.

‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, “When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) fasted on Ashura and commanded the Muslims to fast as well, they said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, it is a day that is venerated by the Jews and Christians.’ The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, ‘If I live to see the next year, God willing, we will fast on the ninth day too.’ But it so happened that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, passed away before the next year came.”

The virtue of fasts during Muharram

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'The best of fasting after Ramadhan is fasting Allah's month of Muharram.' " [Reported by Muslim, 1982]

The phrase "Allah's month", connecting the name of the month to the name of Allah in a genitive grammatical structure, signifies the importance of the month. Al-Qari said: "The apparent meaning is all of the month of Muharram." But it was proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) never fasted any whole month apart from Ramadhan, so this hadith is probably meant to encourage increasing one's fasting during Muharram, without meaning that one should fast for the entire month.

It was reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to fast more in Sha'ban. It is likely that the virtue of Muharram was not revealed to him until the end of his life, before he was able to fast during this month. [Sharh an-Nawawi 'ala Sahih Muslim]

The virtue of fasting on Ashura

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so keen to fast any day and give it priority over any other than this day, the day of 'Ashura', and this month, meaning Ramadhan." [Reported by al-Bukhari, 1867]

The meaning of his being keen was that he intended to fast on that day in the hope of earning the reward for doing so. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Fasting on the day of Ashura is an expiation for the (Minor) sins committed in the previous year" [Reported by Muslim, 1162] This is from the bounty of Allah towards us: for fasting one day He gives us expiation for the sins of a whole year. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty.

Poem: The torments of Hell

If only you knew the torments of hell
It is the worst of places where anyone could dwell
It is in existence even as we speak
And for its inhabitants the outlook is bleak
On the day of rising, hell will be in view
A terrible sight, if only you knew
It will be brought forward by 70,000 reigns
And 70,000 angels will be on each of those chains

After burning for a thousand years , it's flames turned white
A thousand more years, now it's as black as the night
You think the flames are bearable, you're totally wrong
The flames are of hell are sixty nine times as strong
In a flash it will disintegrate all of your bones
The hellfire will be fuelled by man and stones
The thickness of your skin will greatly increase
Causing your threshold for pain to greatly decrease

The people in hell are there to stay
They will melt to nothing, 70,000 times in a day
70 years it will take, for a stone that is thrown
to hit the bottom of hell and it won't be alone
the food of hell resembles a devil's head
and to drink, boiling water and blood bright red
which cuts up the bowels, everything will fall out
the inhabitants of hell will scream and shout
some will be taken out by Almighty Allah's command
but the polytheists will stay eternally damned

Take up Islam, the only way to succeed
and if you don't, you're unfortunate indeed
brothers and sisters, help determine your fate
once you see hellfire, it'll be far too late

Friends according to Islam

We should choose the friend that believes in and abide by our religion (Islam) and gives great respect to what Allah (SWT) and Prophet Muhammad (saw) had ordered us. And we should stay away from the one who is not well mannered and gives no attention to what Islam is about or what pleases or displeases Allah (SWT), for he will surely affect us negatively. There is no good if the companion drowns us in sins and displeasing Allah (SWT). The bases for the actions of those who follow the evil ways are corrupt; their actions are built upon misguidance and deviation.

Good friends are those who share with their companions both happiness and sadness. If we share our feelings with the wrongdoers whose actions are worthless and based on corruption, then we are following the same ways and standards as they are doing, and we will end up being as corrupt as they are, and then we are in a big trouble, how can we face Allah's (SWT) dissatisfaction and displeasure? Instead of making friends with the misguided ones we should befriend the righteous, yet treat the rest in a gracious and just manner. Staying at sufficient distance is necessary; yet treating everybody in a noble and kind manner is required.The danger of having corrupt friends isn't confined to the worldly life. Such friendships produce repentance on the Day of Resurrection, too!

Allah (SWT), the Exalted says in the Noble Qur'an:

"And (remember) the day when the unjust one shall bite his hands saying: O! Would that I had taken a way with the Messenger! O woe is me! Would that I had not taken such a one for a friend! Certainly he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me;" - Quran 25:27-29

The two main regrets on the day of judgement are (1) Not following Prophet Muhammad (saw) on the path of guidance and (2) Befriending a person who diverted one from the truth.

Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) has said: "The felicity of this and the next world lie in two things: firstly, keeping secrets; and secondly, friendship with the good. And the miseries of this and the next world are summed up in two things: firstly, divulging secrets; and secondly, friendship with wicked persons."

So take heed before the inevitable day of judgement comes and we are reckoned for our acts.
Allah (SWT), the Exalted says in the Noble Qur'an:

"Friends on that Day will be enemies one to another, except al-Muttaqun" (i.e. those who have Taqwa/Piety)." - Quran 43:67

It is wise to choose moderation in dealing with friends. Excessive love and confidence in friends are unacceptable since it happens that a friend may change into an enemy and use the secrets that he had shown as weapons.

Allah (SWT), the Exalted says in the Noble Qur'an:

"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."- Quran 5:2

There are three types of 'friends'...

Those that are necessary like nourishment and you cannot live without them; those that are like medicine and are beneficial, so you need them sometimes; and finally, those that are like a sickness and you do not need them at all!

Prophet Muhammad (saw) has said, "The believer is like a mirror to other believers (in truthfulness)." Like a mirror, your friend gives you an honest image. He forgives your mistakes, but does not hide or exaggerate your strengths and weaknesses.

Once Prophet Muhammad (saw) was asked, "What person can be the best friend?" "He who helps you remember Allah (SWT), and reminds you when you forget Him" the Prophet Muhammad (saw), counseled.

Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) said: "A friend cannot be considered a friend unless he is tested on three occasions: in time of need, behind your back and after your death."

Indeed if we establish these as the standards of friendship, the believers shall soon find themselves enveloped with friends who will take them closer to Paradise and farther away from the fire of hell.
Allah (SWT) says in the Noble Qur'an:

"O you who believe! Take care of your souls; he who errs cannot hurt you when you are on the right way; to Allah is your return, of all (of you), so He will inform you of what you did."- Quran 5:105

There are certain tips to remember if you wish to keep a stable friendship.

Do not dispute with him and do not be hostile to him.
Do not ridicule him. Do not quarrel with him. Instead accord friends the respect they deserve.
Do not hold him in contempt nor consider him to be lower than you. Instead guard the honor of your friends during their absence and after their death.
Do not claim precedence and supremacy over him. Instead forgive the short-comings of your friends, because everyone makes mistakes in life.
Do not crack indecent jokes with him.
Finally, we ask Allah (SWT) to make us of the righteous ones and give us companions that will take us away from His Wrath and lead us to His Pleasure and Paradise.

5 Muslim Inventions That Changed The World

Coffee

About 1,600,000,000 cups of coffee are consumed every day around the world. Billions of people rely on it as part of their daily routines. And yet, very few people are aware of the Muslim origins of this ubiquitous drink.

According to the historical record, in the 1400s coffee became a very popular drink among Muslims in Yemen, in the southern Arabian Peninsula. Legend goes that a shepherd (some say in Yemen, some say in Ethiopia) noticed that his goats became very energetic and jumpy when they ate beans from a particular tree. He had the courage to try them himself, noticing they gave him an energy boost. Over time, the tradition of roasting the beans and immersing them in water to create a sour yet powerful drink developed, and thus, coffee was born.

Regardless of whether or not the story of the shepherd ever really happened, coffee found its way from the highlands of Yemen to the rest of the Ottoman Empire, the premier Muslim empire of the 15th century. Coffeehouses specializing in the new drink began to spring up in all the major cities of the Muslim world: Cairo, Istanbul, Damascus, Baghdad. From the Muslim world, the drink found its way into Europe through the great merchant city of Venice. Although it was at first denounced as the “Muslim drink” by Catholic authorities, coffee became a part of European culture. The coffeehouses of the 1600s was where philosophers met and discussed issues such as the rights of man, the role of government, and democracy. These discussions over coffee spawned what became the Enlightenment, one of the most powerful intellectual movements of the modern world.

From a Yemeni/Ethiopian shepherd to shaping European political thought to over 1 billion cups per day, this Muslim innovation is one of the most important inventions of human history.

Algebra

While many secondary school students struggling through math classes may not particularly appreciate the importance of algebra, it is one of the most important contributions of the Muslim Golden Age to the modern world. It was developed by the great scientist and mathematician, Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khawarizmi, who lived from 780 to 850 in Persia and Iraq.

In his monumental book, Al-Kitāb al-mukhtaar fī isāb al-jabr wa-l-muqābala (English: The Compendious Book on Calculation by Completion and Balancing), he set forth the basic principles of algebraic equations. The name of the book itself contains the word “al-jabr”, meaning “completion”, from which the Latin word algebra is derived. In the book, al-Khawarizmi explains how to use algebraic equations with unknown variables to solve real-world problems such as zakat calculation and inheritance division. A unique aspect of his reasoning for developing algebra is the desire to make calculations mandated by Islamic law easier to complete in a world without calculators and computers.

Al-Khawarizimi’s books were translated into Latin in Europe in the 1000s and 1100s, where he was known as Algoritmi (the word algorithm is based on his name and his mathematical works). Without his work in developing algebra, modern practical applications of math, such as engineering, would not be possible. His works were used as math textbooks in European universities for hundreds of years after his death.

Degree-Granting Universities

Speaking of universities, that is also an invention made possible by the Muslim world. Early on in Islamic history, mosques doubled as schools. The same people who led prayers would teach groups of students about Islamic sciences such as Quran, fiqh (jurisprudence), and hadith. As the Muslim world grew however, there needed to be formal institutions, known as madrasas, dedicated to the education of students.

The first formal madrasa was al-Karaouine, founded in 859 by Fatima al-Fihri in Fes, Morocco. Her school attracted some of the leading scholars of North Africa, as well as the land’s brightest students. At al-Karaouine, students were taught by teachers for a number of years in a variety of subjects ranging from secular to religious sciences. At the end of the program, if the teachers deemed their students qualified, they would grant them a certificate known as an ijaza, which recognizes that the student understood the material and is now qualified to teach it.

These first degree-granting educational institutes quickly spread throughout the Muslim world. Al-Azhar University was founded in Cairo in 970, and in the 1000s, the Seljuks established dozens of madrasas throughout the Middle East. The concept of institutes that grant certificates of completion (degrees) spread into Europe through Muslim Spain, where European students would travel to study. The Universities of Bologna in Italy and Oxford in England were founded in the 11th and 12th centuries and continued the Muslim tradition of granting degrees to students who deserved them, and using it as a judge of a person’s qualifications in a particular subject.

Military Marching Bands

Many students who attended high schools and universities in the Western world are familiar with the marching band. Made up of a group of a few hundred musicians, a band marches onto a field during a sporting event to entertain the audience and cheer on the players. These school marching bands developed from the use of marching military bands during the Gunpowder Age in Europe that were designed to encourage soldiers during battle. This tradition has its origins in the Ottoman mehter bands of the 1300s that helped make the Ottoman army one of the most powerful in the world.

As part of the elite Janissary corps of the Ottoman Empire, the mehter band’s purpose was to play loud music that would frighten enemies and encourage allies. Using enormous drums and clashing cymbals, the sounds created by a mehter band could stretch for miles. During the Ottoman conquest of the Balkans throughout the 14th -16th centuries, mehter bands accompanied the fearsome Ottoman armies, who seemed almost invincible even in the face of huge European alliances.

Eventually, Christian Europe also caught on to the use of military bands to frighten enemies. Legend has it that after the Ottoman siege of Vienna in 1683, the retreating Ottoman army left behind dozens of musical instruments, which the Austrians collected, studied, and put to their own use. Armies all over Europe soon began implementing marching military bands, revolutionizing the way war was fought in Europe for centuries.

Cameras

It’s hard to imagine a world without photography. Billion dollar companies like Instagram and Canon are based on the idea of capturing light from a scene, creating an image from it, and reproducing that image. But doing so is impossible without the trailblazing work of the 11th century Muslim scientist, Ibn al-Haytham, who developed the field of optics and described how the first cameras work.

Working in the imperial city of Cairo in the early 1000s, Ibn al-Haytham was one of the greatest scientists of all time. To regulate scientific advancements, he developed the scientific method, the basic process by which all scientific research is conducted. When he was put under house arrest by the Fatimid ruler al-Hakim, he had the time and ability to study how light works. His research partially focused on how the pinhole camera worked. Ibn al-Haytham was the first scientist to realize that when a tiny hole is put onto the side of a lightproof box, rays of light from the outside are projected through that pinhole into the box and onto the back wall of it. He realized that the smaller the pinhole (aperture), the sharper the image quality, giving him the ability to build cameras that were incredibly accurate and sharp when capturing an image.

Ibn al-Haytham’s discoveries regarding cameras and how to project and capture images led to the modern development of cameras around the same concepts. Without his research into how light travels through apertures and is projected by them, the modern mechanisms inside everyone’s cameras would not exist

An example as to how Muslims are punished for mistreating animals can be found in the hadith (oral traditions telling the story of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and which have been recorded in writing). When a woman kept a cat locked up and failed to feed the cat until the cat died, the woman was "put to hell.”

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Truly, whoever takes the Hereafter as his (primary) concern, Allah places his richness before his eyes (his heart feels content), gathers his inner self (so he is at peace with himself), and this worldly life comes to him with compliance. And whoever has this worldly life as his (main) concern, Allah makes his poverty appear imminent to him, disunites his inner self (so he feels disgruntled and unhappy) and he does not gain anything from this worldly life except what had been destined for him.” [Tirmidhi]

A boat needs water to go places: Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) made the things of this world for you to use. But when water enters the boat it sinks: Don't let the love of worldly things enter your heart or it will sink you.

How can one decrease one’s concern for this world? When you talk less about something its importance begins to decrease in your eyes. So try not to talk about the things that are not an Akhirah seeker’s primary concern.
