Proclaim'd in her a careless hand of pride

For some, untuck'd, descended her sheaved hat,

Hanging her pale and pined cheek beside;

Some in her threaden fillet still did bide,

And true to bondage would not break from thence,

Though slackly braided in loose negligence.

A thousand favours from a maund she drew

Of amber, crystal, and of beaded jet,

Which one by one she in a river threw,

Upon whose weeping margent she was set;

Like usury, applying wet to wet,

Or monarch's hands that let not bounty fall

Where want cries some, but where excess begs all.

Of folded schedules had she many a one,

Which she perused, sigh'd, tore, and gave the flood;

Crack'd many a ring of posied gold and bone

Bidding them find their sepulchres in mud;

With sleided silk feat and affectedly

This said, in top of rage the lines she rents,

Big discontent so breaking their contents.

And, privileged by age, desires to know

So slides he down upon his grained bat,

The Olympic Games were first held in ancient Greece in 776 BC. The event lasted for more than one thousand years but then died out after Greece became part of Roman Empire. In 1890 Baron Pierre de Coubertin, a Frenchman decided to start the Olympics again. He wanted to promote how to strengthen mind and spirit shown in the classic Greek Olympic Games. He succeeded and the first modern Olympic Games began in Athens, Greece in 1896.

At the opening ceremony, an athlete from the host country took the following oath on behalf of all the athletes. “In the name of all the competitors, I promise that we shall take part in these Olympic Games, respecting and abiding by rules which govern them, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of sports, and the honor of our teams.

Contoh Procedure Text Tentang Cara Membuat Layang-layang

Layangan atau Layang-layang adalah salah satu jenis permainan yang terbuat dari kertas berkerangka yang terhubung dengan benang dan diterbangkan ke udara. Pada umumnya, yang sering memainkan permainan ini adalah anak laki-laki, tapi saat ini banyak kita temukan orang tua atau orang dewasa yang bermain layang-layang. Bagaimana cara membuat layang-layang, itulah topik yang akan kita bahas pada kesempatan kali ini. Proses pembuatan layang-layang ini akan saya gambarkan menggunakan Bahasa Inggris dan menggunakan Procedure Text.

How To Make A Kite

Materials Needed :

A2 paper
String (thick)
Pipe cleaners / sticks
Scissors
Colored pencils (optional)
Tape (optional)

Steps :

Get a piece of paper (any color), and cut a diamond shape from it. Sometimes it is better if you tape four pieces together. But you have to tape them together the right way. Tape two together, then tape together the other two. Tape them on each other.

To cut a diamond shape on the paper (if you are not taping four sheets together), cut the 4 corners off. It should be in the shape of a square. the paper horizontally.

Repeat step 2 but this time lay it across the paper vertically.
Tie the two sticks or pipe cleaners together. Make it as tight as possible.

Pierce 2 holes in the diamond-shaped paper. On the inside corner where the two sticks cross, thread a thick string.

Using the other end of the thick string, do the same. Then tie the string when both of the ends of the string are threaded through.

Tie a long and strong string onto the sticks or pipe cleaners to form the tail. You can add small strips of paper to the end of this tail string for added buoyancy and weighting. It also looks more complete.

Color the kite if you want.
Find a breeze or some light wind, have someone to help you hold your kite as you wait for wind to come.

Have fun flying your kite.
