Sure, there are all kinds of specialty hot sauces to choose from, but if you want to spice things up and don’t have the time to make something yourself, there’s always the drive thru.
We’re not advocating for just anything. We’re talking about taking things up a notch on the go, without sacrificing the need for extra heat. That’s where Jack in the Box comes into play. The fast-food chain already knew it had a winner with its Spicy Chicken Strips. A quick check of their menu, and you can buy a two-piece snack box of the spicy strips, a three-piece, or a five-piece. You can also make it a combo. The chicken strips are seasoned with a mix of ingredients including habanero chile powder, chipotle peppers, jalapeno peppers, serrano chiles, and a chili puree made out of chili peppers and dried ancho chiles. The Jack in the Box Spicy Chicken Strips are considered to be a spicier option for those who already enjoy the more traditional Crispy Chicken Strips, which are also still on the menu. To kick it up even more, the chain is now offering your choice of two different dipping sauces. One is called a Bacony Buttermilk Ranch dip, which is said to be a combo of creamy ranch and smokey bacon. The other one, though, is certain to up the spice level even more, especially when paired with the chain’s Spicy Chicken Strips.Consumers can now choose to pair the strips with the chain’s new Honey Garlic Sriracha dipping sauce. This option combines ingredients such as sriracha sauce and gochujang pepper paste to pack in the additional flavor. It’s just one new way that companies are starting to market their products towards a growing base of fast-food customers interested in more unique and specialized menu items, especially ones made with spicy hot peppers.

Dive into Flavor Explosion with Mad Dog 357 Birria Tacos

Recipes
<sr:tags>ashley foods, food, gourmet hot sauce, hot sauce, mexican, tacos</sr:tags>
David Ashley

<sr:image>https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0363/5131/1916/articles/dive-into-flavor-explosion-with-mad-dog-357-birria-tacos-267382.jpg?v=1711239050</sr:image>
Are you ready to embark on a culinary escapade that will leave your taste buds dancing?

But if you ever find yourself in that situation, there’s help! While you may love spicy food yourself, we can maybe see a situation where you end up with too much of a good thing. Some people just don’t realize the true extent of the pepper hotness scale, no matter how much you warn them ahead of time. If it happens, you’ll know it because your mouth will probably literally feel like it’s on fire! After-all, some hot peppers and hot pepper extracts are scorching hot! Luckily, you have some options. Some people say a glass of milk is the way to go because the protein in milk helps break down the capsaicin in hot peppers. But that’s just a way to tone down the spice after the fact.
If you want to “fix” the over-spiced food
You can either try diluting it or adding in something that helps mask some of the spicy flavor between courses. Something citric like mangoes or lemons can help. You may also try a cider vinegar or a red wine vinegar with some sugar and use it as a sauce or glaze. If the food is a curry or a stew, you can try adding more liquid to the food. While this helps dilute some of the spicy flavor, you will want to make sure you’re not putting in too much liquid. You could end up messing up the ratio of liquid to solid food.
If all else fails...
You can simply leave the spicy food alone and add in a simple side dish. Things like plain pasta, rice and mashed potatoes can sometimes do the trick because they help coat your taste buds. Remember, we all have a different taste when it comes to spicy food, so unless you’re cooking for a huge crowd, just try and find the right balance.
