But Shannan & Marc? They absolutely smashed it. From the moment the ceremony kicked off (outdoors under that blazing sun), their energy was electric. The chemistry between them is something special — you could feel it radiating, and it spread like wildfire to every single guest. Laughter, hugs, stolen glances, the lot. Their joy was contagious. Shannan’s feet barely touched the floor all day. Seriously. The reception turned into one massive, unstoppable party — dancing from start to finish, never a dull moment. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings, but I’ve rarely seen this level of pure, relentless energy. Everyone was on their feet, sweating, smiling, celebrating like there was no tomorrow. The heat didn’t slow anyone down; if anything, it amplified the vibe. Golden-hour portraits glowed, confetti shots caught the light perfectly, and those candid moments — the way they’d lock eyes across the dance floor or pull each other in for a quick spin — just pure magic.

In November I photographed Katie and Kunal’s wedding at North Mymms Park. Stepping into the morning, I had the privilege of capturing the intricate moments of bridal preparation, each one a testament to the anticipation and joy that filled the air. While I focused on documenting the morning preparations with Katie and her bridesmaids, my second photographer was with Kunal and the groomsmen, whilst a second photographer isn’t essential it does mean that we can cover both should you be getting ready in different locations.

The elegance of North Mymms Park served as the perfect canvas for Katie and Kunal’s wedding. Against the backdrop of its timeless beauty, they exchanged vows and promises, surrounded by friends and loved ones.

During their drinks reception we took the time for some family photos inside as the weather was somewhat wet! However the rain did stop allowing us to explore the beautiful grounds at North Mymms Park for some portraits of them both!

A highlight of the evening was the electrifying performance by the band, Bando. What a band, they ensured that the dance floor remained alive the entire evening.

What a wedding this was! A beautiful sunny day in July at the stunning Down Hall Hotel, a venue I have been very fortunate to work closely with for many years now. Lauren and Rob met me at an open day at Down Hall back in 2019 and planned to have there wedding in 2020 but had to postpone due to Covid!

So a long time coming this one! What a fab day with lovely people and some of the best wedding suppliers in the business. Starting in the morning with the sun shining and the Prosecco flowing! Stock florist really pulled it out the bag, the outdoor ceremony pagoda looked amazing with the balloons provided by Essex Party Planner.

After the ceremony it was drinks, canopies and magic! Entertainment was taking care of by the Function Band who were amazing as always! So much energy throughout this entire day and we were even treated to a sunset 🙂

Roslin Beach Hotel in Southend is always a great wedding venue to work at, its a fantastic summer venue and one that offers an opportunity of beautiful wedding photos on the beach!

I started the day with Katie and David during morning preparations, love the bridal suite which overlooks the sea here, the room decor is fab not to mention the view! Their ceremony took place in the ballroom which again has a wonderful view. Afterwards reception drinks on the terrace and it’s literally across the road to the beach for family group photos and and a walk in the sand for some couple shots!

The real gem here though is sunsets, if you are getting married here I highly recommend getting out for 10 mins in the evening to catch the sunset if possible, it’s well worth it!

Kat and Ian had their wedding at the beautiful Gaynes Park in Epping, Essex on a glorious day in May! We started the day early as Ride London had caused chaos with road closures surrounding Epping forest! No issues though and this just meant that not only us but all the guests were there early too so the drinking began in the morning!

Kat and Ian were the best, an absolute riot from start to finish. a day full of laughter, sunshine, drink with all their friends and family. Gaynes Park looked fab, so colourful with the sunflower theme, decked out by Holly the florist.

Fun and games provided by the one and only Terry Lewis and we were treated to an amazing sunset in the evening to finish things off!

First blog of the year! Well, first in a while in fact, last year was intense with so much work carried over from Covid so blogging kind of took a back seat, lets see if I can do better with it in 2023?

And what a wedding to kick it off with, Charlotte and Dan’s at the beautiful wedding venue that is Parklands Quendon Hall. And whats more, to make it even more special, wedding manager Charlotte is one of Quendon hall’s own! I’ve been lucky enough to photograph the weddings of many professionals within the industry over the years and it’s always a huge privilege to be asked although there is no denying it most definitely brings additional pressure!

So their wedding was back in October and we lucked out with the weather, blessed! Fab memories from this day, good fun from start till finish, working alongside my friends at Quendon Hall and the other fantastic supplier’s to make their day extra special! Charlotte and Dan really put their stamp on it, loved the way the ceremony was set out in the pavilion with much of the decor made by close family, I think this was the first time I’ve photographed a ceremony in there and I cant even count the amount of weddings I have photographed at Quendon Hall! Afternoon tea for their wedding breakfast too with amazing cakes!! As always top food by Parklands!

Houchins Farm Wedding Photography

Gavin and Joanne finally got to have their dream wedding after postponing numerous times due to Covid restrictions and what a day it was! Houchins Farm was the perfect wedding venue for them and is 100% one of my favourites too, the perfect setting for a relaxed, laid back wedding and the beautiful weather was the icing on the cake!

With Gavin and Joanne both getting ready at Houchins it’s easy to capture some of the early preparations, the vast majority of my work is behind the scenes, capturing the day as it unfolds and I work right through until after the first dance.

A shout out to Nick Brown the magician too who as always was amazing!

We were treated to lovely weather and some beautiful evening light which we took full advantage of! Great to work with Carl from Six Eight Video again and of course my very good friends Chris and Lee from ‘Me and Him’ who provided great music for for everyone to party the night away to!

I am pleased to share this preview from Charlie and Sarah’s wedding at the fantastic That Amazing Place. Situated in Essex, That Amazing Place is a stunning wedding venue with the most beautiful grounds!

I have worked at That Amazing Place many times and I love working at this venue. It is the perfect setting for any couple to spend the day with their loved ones on their wedding day.

I joined Sarah and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite who were busy getting ready with Emma Smeaton taking care of make-up and Sarah Wade fixing up her hair! It was a relaxed morning with a little concern over the weather but luckily the rain got itself out of the way early doors and the rest of the day was just right 🙂 Sarah’s dad came to get her and walk her down to meet the groom! Charlie and all the guests were waiting down by the lake where the outdoor ceremony was set up, it looked beautiful with the flowers provided by The Little Tin Shed who are just amazing!

The weather was perfect so everyone enjoyed the stunning gardens for their drinks reception. Lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves at a wedding again. Towards the end of the drinks reception we captured some formal family photos and couples portraits before the speeches and wedding breakfast.

Brilliant speeches I have to say, the best man speech was read as a poem, was well though out and very funny! In to the evening the drinks were flowing, the band started and the party got underway!

Lynsay and the girls started the day in the Apple Loft getting ready while Rob had use of the coach house out of the way of the rain which we were hoping was getting itself out of the way ready for the wedding! And it did! The rest of the day stayed dry just when we needed it too 🙂

All in all a fab day, I love this venue! From the gardens, the barn to the staff and the food, I can’t speak highly enough of it! Rob and Lynsay had a fantastic day at Gaynes Park, as did their guests!
