A Rainy Morning

On a cool, breezy rainy morning,

where everything seems so refreshing,

raindrops pouring down on the land,

fulfilling Earth’s countless demands.

Providing life to parched soils,

making the dejected farmers rejoice,

easing the yielding of wheat and rice,

ensuring survival of the humankind.

Rainfall brings fresh water and plants,

inside the deep dense forest lands,

some seeking shelter, run hither and thither,

while others play, dance or bath by the river.

Replenishing umpteen sources of fresh water,

adding aesthetic value like a mesmerizer,

making Earth look vibrant and green,

producing melody when it hits the window sill.

A drop of rain brings so much to us,

its uses being multitudinous,

our forefathers left vast resources for us,

let’s practice the same for our future generations.

We must reduce deforestation and pollution,

and try to make our monsoons regular,

rainwater wastage has to stop,

let’s join hands to conserve every drop.

Live Your Life

Follow your wildest dreams,
no matter whatever comes in between,
be focussed towards your goals,
letting none to have you under their control.

Life is not a cakewalk,
it has challenges in its stock,
be brave and vanquish them,
pull all the negativity to its end.

We are social beings,
with a diverse variety in it,
difference of opinion is ordinary
nothing meant to change your identity.

Society is an obvious thing,
not a soul can make you weep,
you feel low, because you let them in,
close your mind to the toxic beings.

No two people are the same,
everyone is unique in their own way,
those who seek to restrict your limits,
piss them off within that minute.

What others think of you is none your business,
you’re here to follow your own standards,
live a life dominated by just you,
not giving a thought on how they’d judge or conduct with you.

Don’t live according to others,
you’re not anyone’s puppet,
this life will never come again,
so, don’t let it go in vain.

Ignore everything that weighs you down,
laugh always and never should you frown,
never overthink on bullshit things,
as it would destroy your inner peace.

Happiness comes from within,
and not from outside things,
remember, you are the only controller of your mind,
to make it blossom or wither, is entirely your own choice.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad !

To my beloved Mom and Dad,
who’re two invaluable gems of my life,
who mean the whole world to me,
and the reason behind my smile.

You two make up my soul,
and the reason of my existence,
you both dwell in my heart,
and I love you two without any resistance.

You both are my towers of strength,
supporting and motivating me consistently,
without you two, I’m nothing,
and with you both, I’m everything.

Most of your efforts are directed,
on the happiness of your daughters,
often forgetting your own desires,
as dedicated to fill our faces with laughter.

You’ve always been there for us,
magnifying the moments of bliss,
soothing us at the times of distress,
how can I ever thank you for all this?

Right from the age I played in your arms,
till the present year of the day,
you both have held the softest corner of my heart,
and will be staying there as always.

You both are my precious treasure,
and truly, my living Gods on Earth,
loving me more than the stars in the sky,
and showering me with humongous care and concern.

I love you both, my Mumma and Papa,
more than anything else in this world,
you two are perfect and truly the best.
On this very special day, with lots of love,
from my heart and soul, wishing you both,

The Changing Climate

Getting up after a wonderful sleep,

turning my calendar’s nostalgic leaf,
lifting the blinds of my glowing windows,
enthralled, at the sight of a singing sparrow.

Amazed and spellbound, I run outside,
fascinated by the heavenly roadside,
flying flowers capture my eyes,
suspecting pearls and diamonds, to have disguised.

Something stone cold hits my hind,
I turn back to analyze,
startled and nonplussed, I stand,
upon discovering a white barren land.

Above, I see a dark blue space,
below, dull frozen snowflakes,
people are caught in their homes,
everything looks so serene and cold.

Drops of water tap my right wrist,
bewildered, I turn and twist,
dumbstruck I stand again,
upon the disappearance of the white surface.

A cool mist surrounded me,
people were moving hither and thither,
the fragrance of the soil caught me bewitching,
the dense clouds and fog held me twitching.

Roar of the waves touched my ears,
perplexed, I made an about turn,
the temperature was so different,
the rocks were so incandescent.

People relishing the waves with a smile,
little ones playing sand with delight,
sunrays being quite enchanting,
the breeze being fairly appealing.

Not believing on what just happened,
though it made me captivated,
and gave me immense pleasure,
upon undergoing the four flavors of our mother nature.

Why are we hell bound to destroy this eternal beauty,
why are we just neglecting our duty?
there already exist an ecological imbalance,
if continued, human existence would be questioned.

Come on, let’s make a promise to ourselves,
to protect our nature with the best of our efforts,
the call is in our own hands,

to exist or to face a fatal end.

The Voice Of A Tigress

Hello! Meet me, I am a tigress,

my home and livelihood, being the forest,
deep inside a cave, I lay,

where, with my lovely family, I stay.

Great elation and bliss, it gives,

on seeing the smile on my children’s lips,
but then, I’m filled with glum,
on parting them for my regular hunt.

Roaming around the trees, one day,

seeking some meat on my way,
alas! I got trapped by some men,
helpless and defenceless, I lay fallen.

I was put beneath the bars,

selfish admirers going my past,
with deep morose and tears, I stand,
infuriated, for my freedom being banned.

What would’ve happened to my kin,

who love and care so much for me,
the thought of this forlorn,
makes my blood run cold and bold.

One day, I was fast asleep,

I woke up with a sudden retreat,
I was thrusted inside a ruthless bag,
roaring and wrestling as best as I can.

I was being dragged into nowhere,

Extreme ache and agony I bear,
“will animal cruelty and poaching ever end”?
And the next moment, I was shot dead.

Humans or Robots ?

Billion and billion years before,
when wilderness prevailed at the shore,
no one ever was believed to be there,
the water was empty, the air was bare,
then came the traces of life,
of which we are the latest kind,
how different our lifestyle would be,
if robots, not humans were we.

Homogeneity would be so ordinary,

selection would go arbitrary,
differences won’t have any existence,
suppressed will be, all the resistance,
appearances would be so similar,
the same thing would everyone prefer,
then, will anyone stand apart by his brilliance,
and what would happen to one’s uniqueness?

There wouldn’t be any pain,

none would be in the clutches of the chain,
hard work would be unknown to us,
everyone would be liberated thus,
then, will life be so lit?
will it be worth living it?
everyone would do nothing, except snoring,
and life would turn to be utter boring.

Pessimism would not be in presence,

charmness would take the essence,
we would be the sole controller,
of our mindset of which we’re the owner,
but how long will we be able to stand,
with the machine which we’ll command,
massive use will lead to downfall,
but the humans will shine in spite the odds.

You are one in a million,

possessing qualities worth a trillion,
follow your uniqueness, no matter what,
loud noises are meant to be shut,
don’t run away from a challenge,
as it is vital to make the balance,
without it, wearisome the life would be,
and it won’t be worth living it.

Put down the gloom- ridden thoughts,
don’t let yourself to be tied in a knot,
unlike robots, human beings can’t be blown,
unless the holder permits it to do so,
not robots, human beings are always the best.

Lastly, I would like to say that,

“Challenge Your Challenges Before,
The Challenges Challenge You”.
and “Giving It Another Try,
Is The Best Bargain Over Giving It Up”

Voice of "The Poor"

I open my eyes before the sunrise,
awakening for another day of hopelessness,
when will there be a cease to my bleak days,

will I ever come out of homelessness?

I head for my so- called “work”,
where I get nothing, but oppression in return,
treated with injustice and cruelty, I whine,
but suppressed is my voice, against the tormentor.

Carrying a dejected gloomy face,

I walk towards my crooked house,
“when will I go to school?” asks my daughter,
“when will I have new clothes?” says my spouse.

Not a word comes out of my mouth,

what shall I ever say to them,
I slide away from there, brooding,
on whether will this ever come to an end.

When will I see the silver lining,

when will my agony break completely,
my long for a smile is still unfulfilled,
humanity is not eradicated entirely.

Please, make efforts to uplift our status,

let us at least have a proper bread,
unrecognized, with a fake smile, I move,
starving and hungry, towards my bed.

Happy Birthday, My Dear Mom !

I write this for my queen,

who is the whole world to me,
she is my life and everything,
without her, I’m just nothing.

She is the one who completes me,

I love her immensely indeed,
my tower of strength, she is,
with her, my day actually begins.

She is so benevolent and selfless,

keeping us content, is her goodness,
her sacrifices for us are beyond infinity,
she is like a form of divinity indeed.

Supporting us from day till night,

often, giving up her leisure time,
I love her from all my soul,
with her we complete our four.

Many a times I do wonder,

how can someone be so ideal,
I don’t know, how to express,
the gratefulness I feel for her.

This special person in my life,

is none other than, “My Mumma”,
whom I adore beyond immensity,
who is my most treasured celebrity.

To the queen of my life,

I wish, from all my heart and soul,

“A VERY HAPPY BORN DAY !”

who brought me up with so much of care,
who is the soul of my life,

Never has there been an unfulfilled need,

supporting and guiding me consistently,
I love you more than infinity.

Holding my hand at all times,

being the apple of my eyes,
and the reason behind my smile,
having a fantabulous style.

So grateful I am indeed,

for the love you shower on me,
how could I ever thank you,
for the efforts which you take for me.

You hold the softest corner of my heart,

motivating me on all the journeys I embark,
making all the moments go blissfully,
and just loving me unconditionally.

I am blessed indeed,

to have a fabulous dad like you,
on this very special day,

Aging

Walking to home, one evening,

strolling and sauntering along the road,
gazing the sights which passes by,

applauding the foliage which nature showed.

A strange thing catches my eyes,
something bizarre lay ahead,
curious to know what it is,
I turn and walk left instead.

A kind of machine it looks like,

some numbers impressed on it,
completely unknown about its operation,
I simply spin it and stare at the swivelling stick.

A foggy smoke surrounds me,

not having a faintest idea of what was happening,
houses and people seem to have changed a bit,
not knowing whether I was just imagining.

Perplexed, I head towards my home,

on opening the door, I stand astound,
my grandpa looks so young and cool,
strangeness and queerness floating all around.

Thunderstruck I stand,

when I see the younger version of my own self,
crawling and frolicking, I witness myself as,
a gloomy elation occupies the real me’s cells.

Excitement and contentment taking its peak,

I walk forward, longing to hug myself,
but as I lay my hands ahead,
down on the floor, I lay, fallen.

Observing the room, I sit still,

neither the baby nor the strange machine I can see,
the only thing I can behold,
is my sister sleeping right next to me!

It was indeed a lovely dream,

yearning to witness it someday,
but from the deepest core of my heart,
I know impossibility blocks the way.

Time machine has no existence,

it is just a fantasy,
never can people go back in time,
and once again live their childhood with ecstasy.

No being is immortal,

aging is an inevitable process,
It’s not about being old or young,

It’s about relishing the years which life blesses.

Positivity

When the lights go off,

the darkness stretches all around,
making the people infuriate,
the disgusting blackness getting more profound.

The candle is glowed on,
spreading the light once again,
activity fading away the inactivity,
for normalcy and serenity is indeed regained.

Negativity is the other name for darkness,
which is undeniably very contagious,
the consequences of which are very adverse,
to everyone destruction is always disadvantageous.

Why do people spread this bleakness?
and not optimism instead,
disputes and fights should be stopped,
forgiveness must predominate each mindset.

The ray of hope should always glow,
confidence and faith should invariably shine,
none likes to live in abhor darkness,
the reason for which the candle is lightened.

Surround yourself with optimistic souls,
positive vibes should go omnipresent,
sickness will start to fade away,
mankind will become more fluorescent.

See the “good” in every circumstance,
a positive mind creates a positive heart,
give it a try and see for yourself,

peace will suppress the noise without a doubt.

Drive Me There

Drive me there,
where the soul meets cool fresh air,
mountains and clouds seem to shake hands,
there, I’d be driving into nowhere,
for mist and fog would leave me hide nor hair.

Drive me there,
where infinite white flakes are not rare,
making me as excited as I ever can,
but the path ahead would not be fair and square,
making all the ventures demand an extra care.

Drive me there,
where eye-catching flowers make one stare,
birds appear to flock and chant,
vibrant liveliness sphere everywhere,
camera capture faces with flying hair.

Drive me there,
where the air seems to flare,
the land barren and bare,
there, heart look for a cold snare,
little ones away from their usual care.

Drive me there,
but the point is, exactly where?
“where”, who as a matter of fact care,
as everyone can travel to nowhere,
cause corona is present everywhere.

The only “where”, I can be there,
is the place where I dwell,
until the virus vanishes into thin air,
and this is where we all can be there,

unless it’s really vital to be elsewhere.

who is present in all my pages,
forever she stays in my heart,

My best ever companion she is,

well known for all her mischiefs,
my cute drama queen she is,
looking pretty as a picture indeed.

An eternal bond connects us,

characterized by love and care,
countless are the memories that we possess,
endless are the secrets that we share.

Love the times that we spend,

some sweet while at times bitter,
thanks for being my pillar of support,
and filling my life with all kinds of glitter.

I know our disagreements will never end,

nor will our blaming game,
but from the deepest core of my heart,
I love you to the moon and back.

We are different flowers from the same garden,

who always stand for each other,
wiping one another’s tears during the black times,
while relishing the great times together.

This special person in my life,

is none other than you, “my sister”,
this soul wishes its best mate,
from the bottom of my heart,

Journey Towards Hope

Sitting on my building’s terrace,

admiring the beauty which Earth cherish,
heart encountering a breath of fresh air,

undergoing rejuvenation in the nature’s snare.

Upon moving my head here and there,

my eyes witness a girl from nowhere,
blimey! She is rising on the brink,
looking utterly depressed and sick.

Struck by fright, I sprang,

and caught her by her hand,
“ever perceived what you were doing?” I said,
crying even more harder she stand instead.

Again, I asked, for its cause,

gloomy and extremely blue she was,
“why do I always have to fail?
why do I always have to wail?”

“Who told you to wail after having been failed?

in ‘failed’, ‘learning from mistakes’ is laid,
ever pondered what would happen to your family?
after the suicide which you were attempting.

How heartbroken your parents would be,

blaming themselves for your deed,
bringing you up with loads of love,
for just getting misery from what you’d have done.

Life has ups as well as downs,

no stage meant for you to frown,
be strong in every sphere of life,
face the hurdles with a fearless mind.

Always believe in yourself,

never degrade your inner self,
as after every dim-dark night,
the blazing light makes everything right.

Hope and faith must dominate you,

be positive in every work you do,
work as smart as you can,
and you’ll be as best as you can.

Always pursue your biggest dream,

be consistent like an ever-flowing stream,
you have the whole right of choice,

change failure into success to make the noise”.

Hardwork or Destiny

Everyone has a different course of life,

the world sees diverse sorts of eyes,
some people live in opulence,

while starving and dying, cry the necessitous.

Some climb up the ladder,
and those who cannot, lay shattered,
why is there so much of variance?
is it fate which creates so many ways?

Fate is a mere four-letter word,

having little significance in one’s world,
hard work makes the real difference,
and lead the person into excellence.

Everyone faces innumerable obstacles,

but all do not have the same perspective,
regarding it as fate invites regression,
considering it as a challenge invites progression.

Everyone is born the same,

people’s efforts make the change,
hard work and perseverance always stand,

your destiny is in your hands.

Memories

What are memories?
is it just a thing happened in the past?
or perhaps something experienced in the course of life,
which stores itself in a file.

The journeys we undertake,

or the occasions which we celebrate,
the times of ecstasy and rapture,
or is it what our camera captures.

Memories are not just a mere remembrance,

there are some which stay at the heart’s essence,
but some are left only with traces,
and a small number left with no reminiscence.

Memories arouse the sensation of nostalgia,

with perpetuity in its possession,
shedding tears at the lost sweet times,
while laughing at the bitter gone times.

Memories drive us back,

providing consolation during the black,
sometimes we never know the value of a moment,

until it becomes an ever-living memory.

Time - A Mystery

Everyday we see the clock,
its hands move without a block,
bringing the best for some,
while others beholding the worst to come.

Those who’re witnessing their greatest times,
regard time as a bird that flies,
and those struck in adversity,
remark time as eternity.

Walking with time makes our task done,
lagging behind results in none,
everyone has the same twenty-four,
time doesn’t wait for anyone.

Reliving the past invites expressions,
worrying about the future calls for regression,
thinking about the present is significant,
while being a little more vigilant.

Time is like a river,
be ahead of it to be a winner,
never does it flow back like water,
enjoy every second time offers.

I'm Possible

I saw a girl filled with distress,

sitting alone and lost in her own world,
tears rolling down from her big eyes,

staring at the ground, she lay disturbed.

I went and stood near her,
upon being asked for its cause,
she hesitated at first,
but then narrated without a pause.

“Do I always have to lose my match?

will victory never come in my catch?
will I never see the bright side?
after been practising for hundred times?”

Again, she began to cry,

I thought brisk and quick,
then an idea struck me,
I showed her a bird holding twig in her beak.

Her wings were injured,

but never did it stop her,
after several attempts to fly,
she finally touched the sky.

I showed her a baby trying to walk,

stumbling but smiling after each fall,
again, and again he rose,
and yo! he marched without a stop.

Life is like a rollercoaster,

having several ups and downs,
this journey is bittersweet,
without challenges is indeed incomplete.

Never should you lose hope,

optimism should always glow,
work hard till your last chance,
chase your dreams at every hour.

Success will surely follow,

provided you work hard with grit,
nothing is impossible,

even the word itself says “I’m possible”.

Happiness

What is happiness?
is it about having sacks of money,
expending it as per one’s desire,

leaving the poor always as a crier.

What is happiness?
is it something gained from material things,
or maybe the experience felt on a trip,
whose absence leaves a person to weep.

What is happiness?

is it something connected to recognition,
or something when others meet our expectations,
the contrast of which lands a person in frustration.

The true happiness lies inside a person,

longing to be felt by the bearer,
independent it stays within the heart,

never letting him to go apart.

Bharath Ke Veer

We all live within our comforts,
due to some who’ve triumphed but suffered,
endangeredness characterize their lives,
for peace and tranquility, their heart strives.

They too have families,
often filled with pain and anguish,
their little ones wailing to meet them,
but patriotism stops their legs.

Burning their candles at both ends,
indulging themselves in the country’s defend,
guarding the boundary at all times,
refraining the ears from any kind of cries.

Stubborn to not let anyone die,
never minding if it may cost them their own lives,
the country’s natives are their family,
love for whom drives them constantly.

Fighting till their last breath,
for the sake of our motherland,
sacrificing all that they have,
making happiness and people get attached.

These selfless heroes deserve eternal respect,
and a salute for each and every aspect,
martyrs have departed like a mighty star,
leaving the citizens to weep as far.

Their families lamenting for their loss,
with no one to support them at all,

Unity In Diversity

There was a time in history,

when people were longing for victory,
colonized the country stood,
struggling and suffering, the people were pulled.

But this hardship was not infinity,
it broke with unity,
people became their own rulers,
dedicated to develop a bright future.

Why is this unity fading away?
thwarted from dignity some people lay,
why cannot the people come as a whole,
to stop the evil and achieve their goal.

Humanity should prevail across the country,
people should not let their companions go hungry,
all of us come from the same almighty creator,
then why don’t we stand together.

Make efforts to uplift the deprived,
let them see the bright side,
people should live with harmony and sympathy,
there will be lesser violence in the country.

There won’t be any bloodshed,
goodness and peace shall spread,
come on! Let’s make the call,
"United We Stand, Divided We Fall".

The Voice Of A Tree

Hello! My name is “tree”,

emerging out of a seed,
grateful to the man that set me free,
kind to the beings that I feed.

Fixed I stand, wondering around
a lively dullness surrounds my ground,
sheltering the ones that lay at my land,
none thanking me, still multifunctioning I stand.

Million are the purposes I serve,
providing life with love,
turning myself as one desires,
providing aesthetic value like a beautifier.

Absorbing the noxious gases,
protecting the large masses,
I existed prior mankind’s birth,
and still lay as the soul of the Earth.

Shielding trillions of lives day and night,
having a unique life by my side,
will there ever be an end to human’s greed?
and a cease to my countless bleed.

I see some woodcutters at a distance,
and there terminates my existence,

“is this what we get for our eternal service” I said

and at the next second, I lay dead.

The Deceptive Appearance

I was on a vacation,

speeding along the road,
admiring the beauty outside,
while staying on board.

Beautiful scenery lay ahead,
waiting for visitors to gaze,
and I sit still in my car,
gathering the feel of craze.

Blimey! My eyes witness a sudden appearance,
an old shattered house emerges out of the fog,
blocking the exotic greenery ahead,
annoyed I sit, shunning the cause.

Alas! Our car broke down,
puncture or some kind of fault,
we stand aside, shivering
attracted by the old house, I stay caught.

Driven by eagerness and exploration,
I walk and peep in the house beside,
struck by regret I stand,
upon witnessing what lay inside.

Old poor people working hard in the dark,
making garlands of various bright colours,
inhuman working conditions surrounding them,
but still, stay determined to spread joy in others.

I stand still at the sight,
staring at the mighty heroes,
remembering just one thing:

“Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover”.

From My Lockdown Diary

When the calendar turned to 25th March 2020,

indicating the arrival of the PAN-India lockdown,
shutting the people inside their homes,
comfort zone for some,
while hardship source for others.

Roads being deserted, public places closed,
none wandering around,
nor disturbing the peace that follows.
A noisy silence prevails across the country,
with automobiles being hidden in garages.

People peeping out of their windows,
but none daring to step out for work,
eyes are witnessing the freedom of animals,
ears are hearing the noisy waves of the ocean,

the rustling leaves and melodious chirruping.

A time for families to rejoice,
strengthening bonds and relationships,
loneliness of oldies fading away,
uniting the families once again,

but isolating some who’re struck miles away.

A salute to those warriors,
whose selfless works are indeed invaluable,
nowhere in the previous years,
has this ever been happened.
This situation can be enhanced only by

STAYING HOME and STAYING SAFE.
