Four people including a mother and her two children were killed yesterday night March 18th, when three suicide bombers, (two teenagers and an adult,) attacked umarari village of mulai community in Jere LG of Borno State.

One Civilian JTF was also killed while eight people were injured. All the casualties were evacuated to Borno State specialist hospital by the NEMA ERT and SEMA . The remains of the three suicide bombers were also deposited at the mortuary of the hospital.

Spokesperson for the Borno State Police Command, Victor Isuku, who confirmed the incident said the suicide bombers attempted to infiltrate Maiduguri town through Umarari village in Molai.

"They were sighted by Civilian JTF and challenged. They detonated the IEDs strapped to their bodies while running to different directions," said Mr Isuku.

"Four people which included a ivilian JTF, a woman and her two children died, while eight others sustained injuries, and have been taken to hospital,"

Mr Orok in Calabar made the mistake of his life when he celebrated with friends after winning in football betting. He was allegedly poisoned to death while drinking with those same 'friends'.

According to Brainnews.ng who narrated the incident, he won 2million Naira at Bet9ja, a football betting company in Calabar died after celebrating with friends at a drinking joint.

Mr. Orok, who was also a staff of Bet9ja, allegedly died after vomiting blood.

The deceased is a native of Calabar South, a local government in Cross River State and resides in Mount Zion Lane.

He was buried on the early hours of Tuesday, August 23 2016 at the Goldie Cemetery.

Pastor advocates 'manhood inspection' before marriage. "Look at it to be sure you can live with the size"

After reports emerged last week that a Nigerian woman had filed for divorce one week after marriage because she couldn't handle the size of his partner’s manhood, Jessica Opare Saforo, a co-host of celebrity and lifestyle show in Ghana, Celebrity Fanzone, disclosed that her pastor supports the idea of manhood viewing for couples before marriage.

Jessica, last Saturday, said that her pastor once insisted that women should demand to see the size of the manhood of their potential partners before marriage; sparking an intense debate on social media.

"I remember being in church one day, when my pastor was preaching about things like this… What the pastor did say though is, "women should ask to see the manhood. They have to look at it to be sure because you can look at the size to be sure is if it’s something you can live with."

She was fully in support of her pastor’s position but couldn’t indicate how the same principle could be applied to women.

Police vehicles allegedly blocked the access road to Lugard house where the distribution of materials to the brides and grooms of the Kwankwasiyya Mass Wedding was supposed to take place last Sunday, August 21th, Red Cap Movement reports.

According to Daily Trust, police authorities had on August 18, stopped mass wedding events separately organized by the state government and former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. A statement by police spokesman, DSP Magaji Musa Majia, read:

"The Kano State Police Command, in conjunction with other Security Agencies in the state, wishes to inform the general public that the planned events earlier announced to hold on Saturday at Sani Abacha Indoor Stadium Kofar Mata and Polo Ground along Club Road Kano respectively have been banned indefinitely."

Kwankwaso had planned to marry off 100 divorcees through his Kwankwasiyya foundation and the event was scheduled to take place on Saturday at Polo Ground, while the Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje administration was also to conduct another mass wedding at Sani Abacha Indoor Stadium same day.

The police said security intelligence available to it revealed that some disgruntled elements, were preparing to use the occasions to perpetuate havoc in the State.

However, a political associate of Kwankwaso, Alhaji Aminu Abdulsalam, faulted the decision of the police, saying "we are going to hold our event on Sunday unfailingly. Preparations have reached advance stage in that respect. So we are committed to this event and God willing it will hold on Sunday."

Life is like sometimes. Defending champion and world number one Serena Williams was sent crashing out of the Olympic Games Tuesday, losing 6-4, 6-3 to Elina Svitolina of Ukraine.

Defeat for the 34-year-old American robbed her of the chance to secure a fifth gold medal and her 2016 Games are now over after she and sister Venus were deposed as doubles champions in the first round.

Svitolina, 21, will face two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova for a place in the semi-finals.
Wimbledon champion Williams was clearly hampered by the shoulder injury which forced her to skip the Montreal event.

At one point, she screamed in pain, "shoulder, shoulder".
She even served up five double faults in the seventh game of the second set as she suffered her earliest ever loss at an Olympic singles event.

"Obviously I am very disappointed. The better player won but I can't wait for next time. That will be a really good match and I look forward to it," said Williams.

A Nairobi court has ruled that sexual relations between cousins is not illegal in Kenya, this is according to a High Court ruling that allowed for the taboo relationship to exist without being criminalised.

The ruling was made in a judgment summary after a woman took her nephew to court for having sex with her daughter

According to the Standard, the ruling was made in a judgment summary after a woman took her nephew to court for sleeping with her daughter.

High Court judge James Makau found that the Sexual Offenses Act did not mention cousins among the list of relatives under the offence of incest.

“The National Assembly did not leave out the clause on cousins by intension but by the fact that in some cultures in Kenya, like the Hundus and Muslims, allow sexual acts and marriage between cousins. It is not criminalized,” said Makau as quoted in the newspaper.

He further rules that sex with cousins is permissible because there are no provisions for it in the law.

The case was brought to the court after the nephew, name withheld, was found engaging in sexual acts with his aunt’s daughter.

“The man denied the accusations of illicit sex with a minor, saying the girl had not testified against him not elaborated on how they were related. He was, however, sentenced to 10 years in prison,” published the Standard on Wednesday, August 10.

He appealed the case at the High Court and the jail term was thrown out.

Court records showed that the man had invited his cousin to his house on April 9, 2014, in the afternoon to which she agreed and even went ahead to prepare a meal for him.

The girl’s mother caught them red handed and filed a criminal case against him.

“The magistrate court erred in finding that he was guilty of incest. The prosecution failed to prove that the offence lay nuder prohibited relationships as provided for by law.

The court should not have imported the relationship of cousins and included it in illegal relationships,” concluded Makau.

Monica Mares, 36, and Caleb Peterson, 19, face up to 18 months in jail if the couple is found guilty of incest later this year, but the couple say they are in love with each other will go to jail to protect their relationship.
The two, who were estranged for almost 20 years, are not denying their incestuous relationship. Instead they want to be allowed to be together and are even asking people to donate money to their legal fund.

The couple say they have gone public with their affair in a bid to raise awareness of Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA) relationships, which is defined as sexual attraction between close relatives, such as siblings or half-siblings.

“He is the love of my life and I don't want to lose him. My kids love him, my whole family does. Nothing can come between us. Not courts, or jail, nothing,” Mares told the Daily Mail.

“I have to be with him. When I get out of prison, I will move out of Clovis to a state that allows us to be together.”

Unfortunately for Mares, who is the mother of nine and said she would give up rights to see them if it meant she could be with Peterson, incest is a crime in all 50 U.S. states – although the penalties vary greatly from state to state.

The couple who live separately and are legally banned from having contact with each other began their relationship about a year ago after the two tracked each other down via Facebook.

Mares and Peterson say that after they met up they developed feelings for each other and it wasn’t long until the relationship turned sexual.

“It felt like I met somebody new in my life and I fell in love with him,” Mares said. “At first I told him, "I'm sorry I don't know how you are going to react to this. I'm your mom and you're my son, but I'm falling in love with you."

She said he then told her the feelings were mutual.

“He was falling in love with his mom and I was falling in love with my son,” she added. “We talked about it and we took off to the park. I said, ‘Would you ever date your mom?’ And he said: ‘Would you ever date your son?’ And I said, ‘Honest truth yes, I would.’”

While the two were able to live in incestuous bliss for a while, living together in Mares’ mobile home with her two youngest children, an argument between the family and some neighbors eventually led to their relationship becoming public knowledge.

“Honestly I never thought we would get into trouble for our relationship. We were both consenting adults, when it comes down to it,”
