Kia has introduced a fully redesigned Seltos for the 2027 model year. The subcompact SUV adopts styling from the recently redesigned Telluride, a newly available hybrid engine, a premium interior design, and new tech features. Here’s what shoppers need to know about the 2027 Kia Seltos.The 2027 Kia Seltos arrives with a new design for the model year. The SUV’s design is far more rugged and robust than the outgoing model. The 2027 Seltos has vertically oriented daytime running lights, large square headlights, an elongated H-shaped grille, a robust front bumper, and ridges in the hood. The side of the SUV has black roof pillars, flush door handles, sleek body cladding, and angular cutouts in the doors. At the back, the Seltos has angular taillights with vertical and horizontal elements that are connected by a horizontal light bar, a big rear spoiler, an angular liftgate, and a large rear bumper.Kia has overhauled the Seltos’ interior design for 2027. The SUV’s cabin is dramatically different from the current model that’s on sale. The redesigned SUV has a flat dashboard with rounded edges, three displays that are housed in a single panel, a square steering wheel, and physical controls on the dashboard. Some trims have a chunky gear shifter, while others have a sleeker column-mounted shifter that results in a more spacious center console storage compartment. With the Seltos’ larger body for 2027, interior space and cargo capacity should be increased.The 2027 Kia Seltos will come with a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, while a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a five-inch climate display are available. Other available features will include a generative artificial intelligence assistant, USB-C ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.2027 Kia Seltos Engine & SpecsThe 2027 Kia Seltos will be available with gas and hybrid engines. The base engine with the gas model will be a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 147 horsepower. A turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 190 hp will be available. An eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard. All-wheel drive is available.The new Seltos Hybrid features a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors, a small battery pack, and a six-speed automatic transmission. Kia has confirmed specifications for the hybrid yet, but it will be available with FWD and AWD.2027 Kia Seltos SafetyThe 2027 Kia Seltos will come with a lengthy list of standard features. Standard features will include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, a driver attention monitor, automatic high-beam assist, traffic sign recognition, and pedestrian and cyclist detection.2027 Kia Seltos PriceKia has not confirmed pricing for the 2027 Seltos yet.
