PATTAYA, Thailand — On June 18th, 2026, Pattaya City officials joined representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and POP MART to officially launch “POP ON THE BEACH,” the world’s first Art Toys landmark on a beachfront, at the new POP MART Official Store on the first floor of Central Pattaya (Beach Side).

Mr. Kiattisak Sriwongchai, Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City acting as Mayor, presided over the opening ceremony alongside Mr. Apichai Chatchelimkit, TAT Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing, and Ms. Siriporn Phlaengchanthuek, Head of Southeast Asia for POP MART. Distinguished guests and members of the media attended the event.

POP MART (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has created a major new attraction for Pattaya by establishing this groundbreaking beachfront Art Toys installation together with TAT and Pattaya City. This is to elevate Thailand’s tourism image through a fresh blend of Art Toys, pop culture, and lifestyle tourism. The official POP MART store at Central Pattaya opened to the public on June 19th, 2026.

“POP ON THE BEACH” seeks to reposition Pattaya as a Contemporary Lifestyle Destination by fusing art, lifestyle, and contemporary culture. The project targets younger travelers, Art Toy collectors, and global pop culture enthusiasts, positioning Pattaya as a new “Must-Visit Destination” on the international stage.

Visitors can experience large-scale Installation Art right on Pattaya Beach featuring four massive balloons, each 12 meters long and 8 meters high, under the concept “CRYBABY Cry Me An Ocean Series.” The display artistically interprets emotions, feelings, and healing through an underwater world from the unique perspective of the CRYBABY character. Popular figures including SKULLPANDA and MOLLY also appear in oversized Art Toy sculptures, creating an experiential photo landmark that merges art, lifestyle, and the charm of Pattaya Beach in a never-before-seen format.

In addition to the landmark, POP MART has announced social and environmental initiatives under the concept “SAVE THE BEACH.” These include beach clean-up activities in partnership with local networks to restore the coastal ecosystem, promote environmental awareness, and encourage community and tourist participation.

Mr. Kiattisak Sriwongchai stated, “Pattaya is committed to developing the city into a destination that meets the needs of diverse tourist groups across lifestyle, art, culture, and entertainment. This collaboration with POP MART and TAT represents a big step in modernizing Pattaya’s image, reaching new generations of travelers, and creating memorable new experiences for visitors from around the world.”

Its organizing idea, The Field Village, looks back to Wonderfruit’s roots as a homegrown Thai festival and treats The Fields as a living village. Over the years, the pavilions, art installations and farms on The Fields have become spaces for cultural exchange, forests have become classrooms and the spaces in between have become sites of discovery. Artists, musicians, farmers, cooks, designers and storytellers each add a layer to the landscape. The experience is found in wandering, between conversations, meals, performances and moments of curiosity.

Pattaya, June 18th, 2026 – Pattaya is calling on runners and health enthusiasts to join the scenic “LOMA RUN ON THE BEACH 2026,” the 12th edition of a popular charity walk-run event that combines fitness, seaside beauty, and support for underprivileged children’s education.

Mr. Pirun Noy-imjai, also known as “Kru Noi,” Project Manager of the HHN Foundation for Thai Children, announced that the event is a group effort between the HHN Foundation for Thai Children, Pattaya City, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Pattaya Office). Now in its 12th year, the run is to promote physical activity, boost the local economy and tourism, and give the public an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause.

Participants can choose between two distances: a 10-kilometer Mini Marathon, which accommodates up to 1,300 runners, and a 5-kilometer Fun Run open to 700 more participants. Both routes will take runners along the picturesque shores of Dong Tan Beach and the Jomtien area, offering stunning sea views throughout the course.

Beyond encouraging physical and mental well-being among children, youth, and the general public, all proceeds from the event, after deducting expenses, will fund educational scholarships for children supported by the HHN Foundation for Thai Children. The money will help create opportunities and improve the long-term quality of life for Thai youth.

Organizers expect more than 3,000 runners and supporters to take part, generating at least 15 million baht in economic activity for the Jomtien Beach and Pattaya areas.

Interested participants can register starting today through the ThaiRun system at https://race.thai.run/lomarun2026.

My friend and I recently enjoyed a long, leisurely lunch at Eatali in Pratumnak, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we’ve had in Pattaya for quite some time.

Nestled in the pleasant surroundings of Pratumnak Soi 5, away from the hustle and bustle of central Pattaya, Eatali offers a welcoming atmosphere with both comfortable indoor dining and charming outdoor seating. It’s the sort of place where you can sit back, enjoy a coffee, watch the world go by, and genuinely relax.

We started with a lasagne that was simply superb. Unlike many versions that rely on heavy amounts of meat, this one was wonderfully balanced. The flavour was rich and authentic, and what really stood out was the generous helping of what many expats jokingly consider Thailand’s rarest luxury commodity – excellent cheese! Every layer was packed with flavour, beautifully cooked, and deep in satisfaction.

The star of the meal, however, was the pizza. We chose the Four Seasons, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Served on a substantial 18-inch base, it featured a thick, oven-baked crust with just the right amount of crispness. The toppings were fresh, plentiful and perfectly balanced, while the dough itself had the quality and texture that only comes from careful preparation and proper baking. It’s easy to see why Eatali proudly promotes itself as having some of the best pizza dough in Pattaya.

The quality of the ingredients was evident throughout the lunch, and the friendly, attentive staff helped create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere from start to finish.

One thing that particularly caught our attention was Eatali’s breakfast menu. Open daily from 9am in the morning, the restaurant offers breakfast options at very competitive prices using quality ingredients. Making it an attractive option whether you’re a local resident, a regular visitor, or simply looking for a new breakfast spot.

Eatali has built a strong reputation among diners, consistently earning praise for its authentic Italian cuisine, wood-fired pizzas, friendly service, and comfortable atmosphere.

Online reviews repeatedly highlight the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff. What makes the restaurant particularly interesting is its blend of Italian classics and Thai favourites.

Alongside a selection of Italian pasta dishes and wood-fired pizzas , the menu also features a range of Thai dishes, creating an Italian-Thai fusion experience that we are already planning to return and explore. For anyone looking for excellent Italian food in Pattaya, Eatali deserves a place on your list. Between the superb pizza, delicious pasta, quality coffee, pleasant surroundings, and genuinely friendly staff, it delivers a dining experience that feels both authentic and welcoming. You will need to book.

We’ll definitely be back soon to sample more of their Italian-Thai creations.

In September 2026, Thailand will once again become the centre of the international transgender pageant world. From the 4th to the 19th in September, female participants from many countries are travelling to Pattaya to participate in the Miss International Queen 2026 event. The highlight of the event is the big live gala on the 19th of September 2026 at the famous Tiffany’s Show Theatre in Pattaya.

The final show is traditionally not only presented on site in front of hundreds of guests, but also made accessible to a worldwide audience. The organisers announce a live streaming broadcast so that fans around the world can follow the coronation of the new Miss International Queen. The event homepage also refers to the international live broadcast of the competition.

If you want to experience the magic directly in the hall, you can already buy tickets in advance. The organisers are expressly promoting an early reservation of seats for the final at Tiffany’s Show Pattaya, as guests from all over the world are expected.
