Focusing on our family has been keeping us extremely busy and doing a little social media detox has really helped us gain perspective and helped us to reset and recharge! We're working on exciting new things for 2023 and we're looking forward to bringing you the handcrafted and curated markets you've come to know and love over the years.

Happy new year friends! We hope that 2022 is treating everyone good so far and that your holiday season was a memorable one! Our holiday was spent with close family and friends and our New Year's Eve consisted of a delicious home cooked meal, movies at home and keeping our senior dogs safe from those scary ol' fireworks. :-D
Now let's talk PLB! About a week ago we let the cat out of the bag and revealed that the date for our 2022 OUTDOOR SPRING MARKET had been set for Saturday, April 2nd! We're also SUPER excited about our newest location in Irvine, CA at the beautiful Eureka Outdoor Venue! We can't wait for you guys to see this beautiful space and all the things we have planned for this one. Expect all the things you know and love about our markets but in a gorgeous outdoor Spring setting! So exciting!!
Those of you who have been long time PLB shoppers know that back in the day our markets were a staple at The Grand in Long Beach, CA but when the pandemic happened in 2020 EVERYTHING changed and we were forced to "pivot!". After a lot of research and a lot of location scouting, we found a new and gorgeous venue, Fete The Venue in Costa Mesa, CA, to host our 2021 Spring Market. This lovely venue was the host to the majority of our markets in 2021 and we were so grateful to have been able to help each other in a time when both of our industries were struggling. Once things seemed to be looking up for both PLB and The Fete we knew we had to revisit our future plans and pivot once again. Fast forward to the planning of our 2021 Holiday Market and the serendipitous discovery of Second Space in Brea, CA! Not only is the owner an amazing human being and an advocate for the small business community, but he also happens to own a fabulous and unique commercial studio and co-working space that we knew would be the picture-perfect setting for our 2021 Holiday Market. Needless to say, we ended one of our most enjoyable and successful seasons grateful and with our hearts full!
With all the changes that 2020-2021 unknowingly brought to us we found there was a positive side to all of the chaos. We found that it forced us out of our comfort zone and now have the ability to breathe new life into each and every one of our markets by finding unique and beautiful venues all around Orange County and other parts of Southern California while continuing to bring you the thoughtfully curated PLB markets you all know and love!
That's all for now friends! We'll be hard at work planning and prepping for Outdoor Spring Market and we hope to see everyone on April 2nd in Irvine, CA!

IT'S BEEN A MINUTE....

Hi Friends!! Just as the title says...I know it's been a minute since I updated our blog so I wanted to give you a sort of "Cliff Notes" version (for those of you who remember what those are) of what we've been up to lately.
Since I last posted we've had a postponed 2020 Spring Market (pandemic and all) then our first ever outdoor 2020 Summer Market, a cancelled 2020 Fall Market (that darn pandemic again) and now here we are in 2021! This year has been good to us so far and we've kicked things off with our 2021 Spring Market in Orange County, California at the beautiful Fete The Venue in Costa Mesa! To date Fete The Venue has been host to our 2021 Spring and Summer Markets and we're SO excited that they will be welcoming us back again for our upcoming Fall Market on Sunday, September 26th!
Many of you longtime PLB fans remember that our markets were continuously held at The Grand Event Center in Long Beach, California, however, due to the pandemic The Grand has made some major changes to their event bookings and unfortunately our time with The Grand has come to an end. BUT.....we're looking ahead to the future with positivity and tons of excitment! We've already created some awesome relationships with two new beautiful venues located in two of our FAVE cities and we can't wait to share the details with you all soon! Be sure to keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook pages later on in the year for when we make some big announcements about where we'll be popping up next!
That about sums it up so far! I want to thank everyone from our loyal shoppers to our amazing vendors who have gone on this journey with us since I was passed the PLB torch back in 2018.Me and my family are forever grateful for all of your love and support!

To say our Summer Outdoor Market was amazing would be an understatement! It was a day filled with friendship, positivity and good vibes. All of our shoppers masked up (despite the hot and humid weather), socially distanced and shopped their hearts out! It was so good to see everyone connecting with the small businesses they know and love and meet ones they've been fans of from a far! There really is nothing like a LIVE market where we can safely interact with each other and feel some sense of normalcy even if only for a few hours.
Thank you so much to all of our vendors, team and all of you who came out to shop small and support all of our hardworking and talented vendors! We are truly grateful for your constant love and support!

2019 SPRING MARKET RECAP

Our Spring Market was everything and more than I imagined it would be! When I became the new owner of Penelope Lane Boutique my hope was to bring a fresh new life to each event but also keep the spirit and standards of past events too. Let me just say, my first EVER market as an owner/coordinator exceeded my expectations and was truly a dream come true! Without the amazing vendors and their creativity, the venue, my friends, family and Team PLB, none of this would have been possible. So, with that being said, I want to share with all of you these amazing photos and memories from our 2019 Spring Market taken by the lovely Aimee Sugar Photography. Wow!!! Our hearts are so full that "thank you" just doesn't seem like big enough words to express our gratitude!❤ We had over 800 guests come through our doors at our Spring Market and over 100 of them were lined up bright and early to be first to grab a a swag bag and celebrate the reinvigorated return of PLB back to The Grand! We heard from so many excited shoppers who were just waiting for this day to come!

To our vendors: Where do I start? The passion and love you put into everything you do is extraordinary! The application period for our Spring Market is NOW OPEN!! WOO HOO!! Applications will be accepted from Jan. 4th through Jan 18th, but don't wait till the last minute to apply! Since we are a juried and highly curated market we will be selecting a limited number of each genre (ie: candles, jewelry, wood signs) to offer shoppers a variety of items and create a unique shopping experience for them. So don't miss out and be sure to get your application in early!
Our Spring Market will be held on Sunday, April 14th at the beautiful Grand Event Center in Long Beach, CA from 8:30am to 2:30pm. We've already received so much feedback from shoppers anticipating the return of PLB at The Grand and it's SO EXCITING!!

Hi everyone!! My name is Stephanie and I'm the new owner of Penelope Lane Boutique! A lot of you may already know me as a fellow vendor and the face behind Brussels Dog Boutique + Barkery (this pic was taken pre bangs..lol) but to those of you meeting me for the first time...HELLO! Whether you're a loyal, long time shopper of PLB or a previous vendor from past markets, I look forward to meeting you all!
Now a little bit about me! Nearly 5 years ago I left the office life to pursue the crazy idea of having a pop up shop dedicated to dogs and the humans who love them! From my first show at a high school fundraiser to being a featured vendor at Pottery Barn and everything in between big and small, I still have a passion for what I do and love living that "vendor life"! I've also been fortunate enough to have participated in over 12 Penelope Lane Boutique markets since I first started my shop and it's always been one of my most favorite shows to be a part of! So to say it's an honor to take the reins as the new owner of PLB is an understatement! Of course I have to say a big "THANK YOU" to Nancy Smith and her daughters who founded PLB in 2012 and who've been super supportive and so gracious! I'm also extremely grateful to Nancy for having the confidence in me to carry on the Penelope Lane Boutique name!
Now for the even BIGGER NEWS! Penelope Lane Boutique SPRING MARKET is officially set for SUNDAY APRIL 14th 2019!!! Yaaasss!! I'm also super excited to announce that PLB will be back at......THE GRAND in Long Beach, CA!! Exciting right?? We'll be posting more details on our 2019 Spring Market soon and for vendors, applications will be available here on our blog starting FRIDAY, JANUARY 4th, 2019!
Whew! That was a lot! Lol! To be perfectly honest, I'm a bundle of excitement, nerves, anticipation and energy as I continue planning for what I hope will be one of the best Spring markets of 2019!
