Launchpad - Icons

I love Launchpad, sure it's faster to launch apps with Spotlight, but I like looking and clicking at the icons! It's also easier for visualizing all the installed apps

On macOS Tahoe, Apple replaced the Launchpad with the "Apps" app. However, many developers created their own version of it*.

You can use these icons with Launchpad (if you're on macOS Sequoia or under) or with your favorite replacement app if you're on Tahoe.

I originally made this pack back when i made Tile Folders, and then i forgot about it. On Tuesday, Apple announced the next generation of iPhones and, since it was inspired by them, it made me remember the pack. I added new color variations and a few other icons.

10 drives in 8 different colors inspired by iPhone Pro colors along the years: Alpine Green, Blue Titanium, Deep Purple, Natural Titanium, Purple, Sierra Blue, Space Black and White Titanium.

OS X Yosemite Weather App Icon [Test]

Just an icon I put together imagining a Weather like app on Mac similar to the one on iOS.

I made these icons intentionally for the Mac App Store app called Weather° which is almost an identical iOS weather app for Mac, showing current weather, temperature etc, with animated weather in the background simulating the current weather. I highly recommend this app. I'll leave a link at the bottom.

*I made two versions.

1: With the familiar border from iTunes, App Store and iBooks.

2: And without borders.

macOS-mojave style-folders

Some macOS Mojave style folders. They are made from scratch with Sketch and are not 100% identical to the ones in Mojave. I just call them Mojave-style icons because they look a little like them.

Update some days later.. there are new folders included: a new Applications icon, Library, Network, Sharing, a Pictures icon and a silly Home icon.

I re-worked the Users and Group folder

There are no Windows ICO included - only the Mac ICNS format. 25 System icons and 20 in the Other category with stuff like Dropbox, InVision, Transmit, Google Drive etc.

Apple Mac OSX Yosemite/Sierra style folder icon template

thought i would upload this template if people who are interested and want to create their own folder icons.

again, i am a GIMP user, so the template is in GIMP file format, not sure if you can open under adobe photoshop, if not, i also included PNG format layer files, you should be able to stack them and create a photoshop version template. please stack according to the number so they end up in right sequence

if you are an inexperienced user, and just start making your very first folder icon, and need to learn how to create folder icons, you can go through my 'journal history' section, look under each top for tutorials.

this is a very simple template, but include all layers you need to start, you are freely using this template, modify, derive, implement it your own way, i am happy if that's useful to you!

let's create more folder icons during this goddamn ccp-virus pandemic crisis if you are locked down at home and can't go out as much.

I modified Pixel Resort's template to create this Photoshop psd file which includes many variations and customizations to build upon. It follows all of Apple's Mac icon design rules and everything is high-res. It's a good jumping off point for anyone striving to create the perfect Chrome icon for Mac. It's one of the trickiest icons to translate to Mac OS design for some reason. Even with my official attempt and all it's variations, I still haven't found a version I'm completely satisfied with. But perhaps you can! Good luck

nothing fancy, just a simple slightly modified version of the trash icon in yosemite/el capitan.

the empty trash icon for yosemite/el capitan/sierra looks awful... it resembles a white, indistinct blob staring at me from my dock. no other trash icons out there satisfied me, so i just whipped up these two small .png replacements for myself.

i simply added a inside shadow to the stock trash can for definition so it resembles, well, a trash can and not a indistinct white mass in your dock.

UPDATE JUN 27 2013:
Many of the icons have been updated with minor fixes, and a few have been re-done to be cleaner. If you downloaded this pack before, I recommend downloading it again. This update also includes app identifiers, so if you use the free CandyBar app for Mac OS X, you can just right-click and choose "Use as System Replacement" to instantly apply them all. Updating should be painless

'Flat' iOS 7 style icons. Includes high-resolution (1024 x 1024) re-builds of 24 icons released by Apple, as well as 43 original icons.

You can download my Photoshop and Illustrator template to create your own icons and ensure consistency with these icons: [link]

A few notes:
•Apple only uses an outline on icons with a white background. I used an outline for all icons.

•The shape of the rounded corners has changed slightly from old iOS-style icons. Still looks close enough to use next to old Flurry/Phoney icons, so no worries.

•The Game Center icon isn't a faithful re-creation like the others... because Apple's Game Center icon is stupid and I just couldn't do that to you. See my hilarious visual commentary here: [link]

To install go to the applications folder > Right click on UnArchiver> select show package content > look for resources folder > backup the old icon and copy this one.
