Please note that our "savetax" discount has been changed/adjusted to 5% and may be subject to further changes.

We were fortunate to be able to offer the savetax discount from 2013-2025. This discount was a direct reflection of the discounts that were passed onto Pure Radiance by our customers having chosen the Interac E-Transfer payment option. There are no fees incurred by using the Interac E-Transfer payment method, which allowed us to pass on savings to our customers.

As discussed in a previous post, costs have risen across the board with respect to ingredients, operational costs, packaging, processing fees etc. We have been doing our best to come up with creative ways of continuing to offer our products without increasing our prices, as well being able to continue to offer the additional discounts such as the savetax discount and flat rate shipping.

Pure Radiance Natural Skin Care will also continue to offer the flat rate for shipping at this time, and we will continue to pay the additional costs to ship, which range between $6-$14 per package (depending on its size/weight and location of delivery). This discount is also subject to change.

Note that over the past few months, there has been an increase in customers making payments by using the PayPal and/or credit card option. This affects our ability to provide the savetax discount as well the flat rate shipping. Note that this discount has been adjusted Sept 2025 to 5%. Discount amounts are subject to change.

Dear Valued Customers,

We have always been open and transparent with our communication regarding behind-the-scenes operations. To provide our customers with continued transparency about price increases and the steps that we are taking to attempt to curb/ minimize them, please read the following steps that we are taking.

It should be no surprise that the cost of organic ingredients, peptides, shipping, packaging supplies, cosmetic jars and other items have been affected by price increases, tariffs, import fees, taxes, supplier ship rates, inflation costs and operational costs.

As these costs increase and affect us, we unfortunately need to adjust our prices.

We are coming close to having to replenish our packaging supplies (jars, serum bottles, ingredients boxes etc.).

To decrease and/or avoid any drastic increases in product prices, we have become creative in our changes and will be taking the following steps immediately:

1- DMAE Cream 50ml product: currently in a 50ml glass jar- this will be replaced with our standard PET 60ml cream jar (once we run out of 50ml jars). For DMAE customers, this means that you will now receive an additional 10ml (as per label- actual aprox 72ml in product).

2- Retinol Treatment Cream 50ml product: currently in a 50ml glass jar- this will also be replaced with our standard PET 60ml cream jar (once we run out of 50ml jars). For Retinol Treatment Cream customers, this means that you will now receive an additional 10ml (as per label- actual aprox 72ml in product).

Please have patience with us as we continue to use up our current stock of 50ml labels for both of these products, by placing them on the new 60ml jars. Once we have run out, you will see a new label reflecting the 60ml amount. Until then we will add a note to orders with these items saying "see blog, now 60ml". Thank you for your understanding with respect to this matter.

We will continue to do our best to be creative in curbing price increases as we can, and limit price increases to items that will need to be increased, but to a minimum, where possible.

Dear Valued Customers,

There are a few changes to our business and shop site that we would like to make you aware of. As previously indicated in our Blog Posts and/or on direct product description pages, there are certain products that after sale, we will be discontinuing for a variety of reasons (unsustainable increased costs from our suppliers, import fees, tariffs, popularity etc. We will also be placing our complete focus back into our Organic Anti-Aging Skin Care/ Advanced Anti-Aging Skin Care Products and less on related product categories.

Skin Spot Corrector Product- We have placed an "IMPORTANT NOTE" under this product- This cream may be discontinued in the near future. Our supplier has increased prices drastically; therefore, we are looking for a new reasonably priced supplier. If not achievable due to dramatic price increases, import fees and tariffs, we will place a note here (under product listing) indicating the discontinuation of this product.

Category Mineral Makeup- Products Mineral Blush and Mineral Bronzer- As indicated previously, we were planning on discontinuing our mineral makeup line once products have completely sold. Please note that we have now discontinued the Mineral Blush and Mineral Bronzer products and have officially removed the Mineral Makeup Category.

Anti-Aging Lip Care Category- Products Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Lip Balms- These various natural scented balms have now also been discontinued.

Anti-Aging Face Mask Category- Products in this Category will gradually be discontinued once they have sold (Rhassoul Face Mask, French Green Clay Mask and Collagen Face mask). These products will eventually be replaced with one product, a ready-to-use Anti-Aging Lavender and Lime Peptide Face Mask. We will provide another update once this change has taken place. We are looking forward to sharing this fantastic, tightening, anti-aging skin care product with you all!

Category Targeted Skin Care Treatments- Product Retin A- Once again, unfortunately our suppliers are increasing prices, import fees and tariffs on these products. We are looking for a new supplier to replace our 0.05/0.1% 30ml Retinol. If you are interested in this product at the current Brand (European-Spain) in that size, you may consider making your purchase before this item is sold out and no longer available. We continue to have options in the 20ml size and will keep you up to date on any changes regarding this.

To date, the only comparable product with respect to quality, effectiveness, minimized side effects, price etc. has been another European Brand, however they currently only offer the item at the 0.05% dosage. Having said that, the 0.05% 30ml replacement brand that we are considering, interestingly seems to be almost as effective as our current 0.1% (through our testing/studies) and continues to maintain the decreased side effects of our current brand used. Some Retinoids have side effects such as irritation, excessive redness, excessive peeling etc. (due to alcohol and other ingredient inclusions). Note that our current 0.05/0.1% 30ml Retinoids and our considered replacement, do NOT contain any alcohol or any irritating ingredients and contain skin soothing ingredients, which are some of the reasons we prefer using the European Brands vs. American, Canadian, Asian etc. for this particular pre-made product. We will keep you updated on this topic and will inform you of our replacement item of choice.

Thank you for continuing to support us through these changes. We continue to strive to provide you with the highest quality of products at reasonable prices. On another note, you may have noted that we have not increased our prices on 98% of our products this year. Note that we will not be increasing prices until our current stock and ingredients have been depleted and replaced. Again, we are striving to keep any increases in prices to our product line to as minimal as possible. As you may be aware, Canada Post has been our primary shipping courier since 2013. They have provided our business and customers with a reasonable ship rate and reliable/ quick delivery times within Canada and throughout the U.S.

Amongst other things, this is one of the reasons that we are able to keep costs down.

Pure Radiance Natural Skin Care has also provided our local/ rural oline customers with the option of utilizing our drop ship services at a decreased cost.

Area covered- Hagersville, Caledonia, Townsend, Jarvis, and Port Dover.

Areas being expanded will include Dogs Nest, Varency, Woodhouse Acres, and Garnet.

Note that Brantford and Simcoe may be added in the near future (depending on the amount of service requests).

When Canada Post recently went on strike (Nov.15- Dec.17, 2024), we were faced with the dilema of adding alternative shipping couriers or temporarily halting shipping services for our online customers, other than continuing to offer our rural/ local drop shipping.

When we looked at adding alternative courier options, we found that unfortunately for small business' such as ours, the shipping rates were extremely high and would have had a dramatic effect on our pricing.

Fedex, UPS and Purolator's rates for example, for a small 5x7x2 envelope, weighing 1.5 lbs is $30.50 within Ontario, with prices increasing further as the weight/ size of package does, and further yet when shipping out of the Province/ Country.

Couriers such as FlagShip and ChitChats, unfortunately do not have drop boxes in our rural area, so these were also not feasible options.

In our opinion, shipping rates in Canada are excessively high, and disappointing not only for the e-commerce side of our business, but for you, our customers as well.

This led us to the difficult decision of not offering these alternatives as shipping options. Instead, we chose a temporary shipping stoppage for that month, to our e-commerce customers while Canada Post was on strike.

Many small businesses that rely on reasonable shipping, unfortunately had to close due to these same circumstances.

Up until now, we have been fortunate to be able to continue our business during these difficult times over the past few years, thanks to our larger vender/ merchant contracts and our loyal e-commerce customers returning once shipping resumed.

Unfortunately, it appears that we are again faced with the same decision- with Canada Post having resumed their negotiations and the possibility of another strike may cause additional service disruptions as of May 22.

We can certainly add the 3 couriers (Fedex, UPS, Purolator) as alternatives, however based on customer feedback and surveys, customers do not want to pay the higher shipping costs and would likely purchase from big box companies rather than from small business.

Note that we have also given careful consideration to reviewing whether we could offer discounts on shipping rates, however this will also not be feasible unless we increase our prices to match the current increases we have experienced ourselves for ingredients, packaging, shipping costs, inflation, tarrifs etc.

This leads us to have to choose the option of halting shipments once again if it comes down to another work stoppage by Canada Post.

We are not pleased with having to chose this option, including the possible ramifications that this decision may continue to have on our e-commerce side of our business, however we hope that we will get through this hurdle as we have over the past few years since COVID.

In the mean time, we are open to our customers feedback or any suggestions and in the event of a strike, we will continue working with our larger contracts to keep our small business going.

If there is a strike, we hope that it is a short one like the first, allowing us to restart e-commerce shipping as quickly as possible.

Pure Radiance Natural Skin Care will continue to strive to offer the highest quality of organic and natural ingredients/ products at reasonable prices. We will continue to do our best ro minimize price increases.

To all customers- if you are planning on placing an order, we recommend placing it prior to May 22. Please account for the shipping time so that your package can arrive at your location avoiding possible disruptions in the event of a strike.

Canada Post Shipping Update

Dear Valued Customers,

As you may be aware, Canada Post began a Nationwide strike 7 days ago.

Originally, we were informed that packages would still be mailed during the rotating strikes, however customers were to expect slight delays.

Update: We have been informed that all packages are being held, will not be shipped, and will be processed after the strike.

Note that we have looked into other options for shipment, however we have been informed that in solidarity and support for the Canada Post strike, FedEx, UPS, Purolator etc. will not be taking on, or shipping any Canada Post contracts/ shipments.

This news, leaves many small businesses with limited or no shipping options.

At this time, we are currently continuing to ship locally via our Drop Shipping Method (Hagersville, Jarvis, Port Dover, Caledonia and surrounding areas, and are working to expanding our shipment area. We are also continuously looking for a reasonably priced shipping alternatives for our regional, national and international customers.

With the holidays approaching, we understand that Christmas Ordering is in demand, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused by these circumstances. It not only affects our customers, but affects Pure Radiance and many other small businesses throughout Canada.

Note that we receive the CUPW (Canadian Union of Postal Workers) updates regularly and are told they are committed to achieving a resolution and resuming services.

We value your loyalty and hope to resume shipping as soon as possible, once we have established a reliable alternative or once the Canada Posts Strike has ended.

Discontinuation of Essential Serums:

Canada Post Signature Options- Shipping:

For those customers that wish to have the signature/I.D option upon delivery or insurance added, you may now add this option to your shopping cart by going to the "add on" category and add the item to your shopping cart. Canada post charges an additional 2.00 for each service and due to credit card fees, increased shipping costs, inflation costs we are no longer able to offer non-standard services free of charge. If this option has not been purchased, we will ship your package as normal, no signature, insurance. All packages are sent with tracking.

Price Changes/Increase 2023:

We are an honest, small business and have always prided ourselves on our open communication with our customers and are pleased we are able to continue to be able to do so with your understanding.

Every year Canada Post makes price changes to its services and prices with the parliament of Canada. These changes went into effect on January 9th, 2023. As per our last blog update, we have kept our pricing the same for shipping and Pure Radiance has been paying the additional parcel shipping costs charged. Unfortunately with the additional increases by Canada Post as well inflation increases for ingredients, supplies, utilities, internet and security fees, minimum wage increase to certain staff, and overall operational costs, we are disappointed in having to say that it has become increasingly difficult to offer discounted shipping and lower product prices.

At this time we will be increasing our shipping charges (only slightly) from $14 to $15 (regional) and from $18 to $19 (national). Canada Post increased prices for standard parcels from $18-$26 to $22-$28 (depending on location and weight of package); has increased the base rate for standard parcels and tracked packages, increased fuel surcharges (due to rising gas prices) and carbon neutral fees. This is in addition to the standard Ontario tax of 13%. Our new shipping flat rate is only a slight increase at this time, and we are informing customers that there may be increases to our customers in the near future. We may need to increase product or shipping prices or decrease discounts. For parcels 2.5lbs or more, the cost was increased by Canada Post to $30.86 regionally and $56.32 nationally (+ added fuel surcharges, carbon neutral fees and the 13% tax). We are continuing to do everything possible to be able to continue to offer discounts to our customers by decreasing our costs incurred.

As stated above, this has resulted in no longer being able to cover add on services offered by Canada Post such as the signature and insurance option. For those who wish to add these add on service offered through Canada Post you may add them to your shopping cart in the add on section of our shop site. In addition, all products will undergo a slight price increase. Although we are increasing prices slightly, we are pleased to say that with market research, we continue to offer the lowest prices when compared to other Organic Peptide Products. We are also pleased to be able to offer our peptide ingredients at higher percentage rates than others, increasing consumer results. Our commitment to you is to continue to provide you with the highest quality of products, at the best possible prices.

Interac E Transfer Payments vs. Credit Card Payments:

A reminder that Interac E Transfer is available as a payment option to all Canadian Customers. We highly encourage payment through this method. By making payment via this method, it saves us the 5% credit card transaction fee per order and therefore we are able to pass down savings to our customers through shipping discounts, tax savings and lower product pricing. After research, it has come to our attention that some of our small business cosmetic competitors have begun to add a service/transaction fee for credit card use, and some have also added "donate" or "tip" button options to help curb costs. We are hoping not to utilize these options but at this time, do encourage Interac E Transfer as payment to save costs to us, which in turn get passed onto you, our customers. Unfortunately with inflation and increased costs across the board over the past year, some of the savings our customers see, may soon need to be adjusted depending on customer support with payment options, the savings that we are able to pass on and the amount of business that we continue to have. Please help us by doing your part and making payment via Interac E Transfer so that we can continue to pass on these savings to you, our customers.

PayPal transaction fee & Update

Dear Valued Customers,

This is to inform you we have been informed that PayPal is now charging customers a "transaction fee". Please note that we have no control over this charge by the payment processor. PayPal is still available as a payment option. Other payment options are Interac E Transfer (Canadians), no fee to customer or to Pure Radiance Natural Skin Care, or Square payment processor for Visa, Mastercard etc. (currently the 3% transaction fee is charged to Pure Radiance Natural Skin Care).

Unfortunately the majority of payment processors have increased their fees, will be soon or will be starting to charge the customer like PayPal is. Shipping providers have also increased their charges due to increasing gas prices which affects both customers and merchants. At this time, Pure Radiance Natural Skin Care is continuing to charge $14 for Canada East and $18 for Canada West and is paying the remaining costs charged by Canada Post ranging between $3-$5 per order. We may need to re-evaluate ship costs or product prices in the near future. Although Canada Post has raised their prices, at this time they continue to remain the lower priced provider in comparison to FedEx, UPS etc. We will continue to use the lower cost provider.

Note that we are doing everything we can to keep our prices as low as possible and continue to provide you with the Quality Organic Skin Care Products that you all love.

On another note, our Body Firm Contour Cream is now available in a convenient smaller 2oz size. Customers have also provided us with additional feedback on this item and have said that it is not only an excellent Body Firming & Moisturizing Cream, is is excellent for use as a Firming & Moisturizing Hand Cream as well. Please see Body Firm Contour Milk's regular listing for the 2 oz option, which is listed at $10 each.

We have been informed by a customer that there is a glitch with the 3rd party review system that we have been attempting to use for our shop site. We are sincerely sorry to those customers who have been inconvenienced by any unnecessary emails that they have received, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we take steps to correct the issue.
