This year my sister invited us to spend Thanksgiving with her and her husband and daughter at their home in Ohio. We accepted and made the 9 hour trip up and back. It’s the first time I’d ever gone to a relative’s for a holiday, and it was loads of fun to see them again!

My husband and I went on a fabulous vacation to a bird park! We were attacked by pigeons, courted by currasows, and followed by a wary turkey. Indeed, it was a fantastic adventure!

My Uncle Chuck died of cancer. He was probably the only male role model I had growing up, what little I saw of him before he retired. His death reminds me that it's important to reconnect with the people you love before they disappear.
