a tension resting on the lake.
Two shapes aligned in quiet sight,
a moment holding back the fight.

Then something shifted, fast, unclear,
so quick it almost disappeared.
One frame, one spark, one fragile view,
where everything already knew.

A single pixel held the line,
between the calm and the design.
Between the clash and sudden flight,
between the still and taking height.

And in that space too small to see,
lived all the weight of what would be,
because sometimes all it takes to start
is just one pixel pulled apart.

With the weather warming up, it's thrilling to see the critters becoming more active. This morning, a moose roamed the trail and passed by several of my trail cameras. She looks remarkably healthy, just the way we should hope to see them in the wild. Despite the deep snow, she navigates the forest effortlessly, reminding us of nature's resilience and beauty. It's a perfect opportunity to appreciate wildlife in its natural habitat!

A lucky catch with my trail Cam. This is one of two Ravens that hang out in our meadow. when his wings are outstretched its around 4-5 ft. My stock tank often attracts mice, and they drown. when I find them, I place them in a spot (same spot all the time) and the Ravens always do a flyby looking for the free meal.

We had a visitor last night, a large Bobcat. It's been a while since we've had Bobcats at out water tank. This is a large cat, looks like he's eating well, pretty heavy looking. The batteries were low on my trail-cam, so I didn't get a video, just a few jpegs.
