Sky Watch: Spring

noreply@blogger.com (Abby) — Thu, 07 Apr 2011 15:29:00 +0000

The Willow is busting out it's Spring wrappings, and the sky beyond is such a beautiful baby blue.

Sky Watch: Little Details

noreply@blogger.com (Abby) — Thu, 24 Mar 2011 19:00:00 +0000

I posted something from this grouping a few years back, and only today did I realize that I had missed a tiny gem in this shot. There is a bird in the upper left of this photo. I love it. I had never seen it before.

Funny how we can miss the most serendipitous details sometimes!

Sky Watch: I couldn't choose.

noreply@blogger.com (Abby) — Thu, 10 Mar 2011 20:25:00 +0000

It was such a lovely morning, I had to run out and take photos. My battery was dying and I had to take it out after each shot and shake it to see if I could get just one more. Ü I was so happy with all of them, I couldn't choose just one for Sky Watch.

Sky Watch: I just love clouds. I do.

You just can't get something as dramatic as this without them.

March is bringing showers. . . so the flowers will be right behind them.

noreply@blogger.com (Abby) — Thu, 03 Mar 2011 06:53:00 +0000

And I'm really excited for the flowers. These are Siberian Iris from last summer, just as the sun was setting. For about a minute, the sun broke through some heavy cloud cover and lit them up so beautifully. I felt really lucky to be taking the photos when that happened. You can't plan everything. Sometimes, things just work out right.

Sky Watch: Painted On Sky.

noreply@blogger.com (Abby) — Fri, 25 Feb 2011 01:47:00 +0000

At least, I'm pretty sure I'm going to paint this onto SOMETHING someday. The naturally occurring beauty in this world outstrips what the people do, day in and day out. :)
