Thursday again and the end of May !!! Wow that month flew. I Have a "birdie" card for you today on the theme.
Here are the colours we have to play with....
Here are my little birdies, this set is so beautiful and I love the DSP that comes in the bundle. Pretty soon everyone will be privy to the new catalogue!!!
The Free as a Bird set just asked to be coloured and I used the Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight for the birds and Granny Apple Green for the branch and leaves....
I coloured the ribbon with a marker to get the Coastal Cabana hue. The card base is Coastal Cabana and then I added a piece of the pretty DSP to place my art piece on. I wanted a different look with that so I cut the edges.....great place to add some pearls....
This really shows the birds and the ribbon well.
Another sentiment inside, both are from the new set Beautiful Promenade.
These colours go so well together, thanks Amy. Just right for this time of year....
Here are the links for the rest of the hop...have fun...

Hello to all......hope the week has been kind and you are all are getting excited about the upcoming catalogue.
My card today uses the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper that I was lucky to get as a gift at the Vancouver Onstage! Lots of fun in this package. So off we go.
Here is our sketch.....
This paper has pieces of many mosaic designs and some have shiny accents. I used to make garden stones with Stained Glass many moons ago so I love this paper.
Here is my card.
I cut a piece that had a shiny effect and then built from there. I could have fussy cut out the butterflies but was happy showing the background a bit more. A circle of Shaded Spruce in behind showcases the butterfly circles.
Just look at the detail on this paper....
Inside is a simple sentiment matted onto a piece of the shiny mosaic...... the sentiments are from a new set coming soon, Floral Essence. Great perk of being a demonstarator,....I get to see the fun early and order to play sooner. I can then share with all of you.
This picture shows a bit of the shine in the bottom corner, but it is throughout the design. Love this sentiment.
Now off to the rest of the hop.....these ladies always create such beautiful art and I appreciate being in their company.
Have fun.

Happy Thursday all!
We have a colour or should I say a basic colour challenge today...What fun , here we go.
I wanted to put the new set Sailing Home to use so I used the lighthouse as my focal point.
I sponged the clouds with the Basic gray to show a storm is brewing , then stamped the lighthouse in Basic Black. The sail boats behind are stamped off in the Gray as well. Under the lighthouse I sponged more to show a stormy sea. A few lines with a marker in the Gray again and then I popped this art piece onto a piece of Basic Gray.
I tied a bit of Bakers's Twine around and placed a silver wheel with glue dots.
Inside I stamped a few sail boats to break up the White, some in Black and some in the Gray.
Here we see the sentiment layered onto a bit of Basic Black,
Now away you sail.... have fun.

Happy Thursday to you !!
We are back again and it's time for colours!!
And today we have these to design with.....
Today I used a wonderful new set that is coming in he new catalogue. It's called Good Morning Magnolia and it came in a Suite that included the stamp set, dies, DSP, Memories and more cards, ribbon, more cards and embellishments. One of the perks of being a demonstrator and attending Onstage in Vancouver allowed me to put this in my studio. Here is my share for you....
This picture just doesn't do this justice...I used the Wink of Stella on the magnolia, after I coloured with it the Stampin' Blends.... it is so pretty. I ran the Highland Heather through the Petal Burst Embossing Folder to show it off a little more. This is matted on a piece of Pear Pizzazz, and those two pieces are adhered to the Sahara Sand card base.
And a tiny peek inside.... I almost like the bud more....
I used the Duet banner punch for the sentiment piece. I wrapped some the linen thread that I also got at Onstage.....you have to go. We got to share the left over products on the table after the Make and Takes.....so fun.
I had stamped the bud inside and then decided to stamp another one to colour and layer over that. More Wink of Stella,,,wish it showed better.
Now off to the rest of the hop....this wonderful set will be going live in June, but I have some more to share in coming hops.....I know ...meanie!!
Have fun...

Happy Thursday my friends.
We have sketch today so off we go.
I used a little creative latitude and put a rectangle in the sketch instead of a circle. I stamped the paint brushes and holder with memento black onto a piece of watercolour paper. I then coloured with the wonderful blends. The pot is Calypso Coral , light and dark, and the brushes are crumb cake, smokey slate and a touch of bronze,
I cut out the sentiments in watercolour paper and coloured them with Calypso Coral blends as well.
The banners are Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral and a touch a Mango Melody. The little "dots" are from the Happy Tails set.
Inside I added a couple of banners and one for the sentiment.
Now off to the rest of the hop...have fun and happy stamping!!!

It's Thursday !!
I had a great time at the Onstage "mini convention" in Vancouver last Saturday. As demonstrators , we are the first to see the new products and the new catalogue that comes out June 4th. Also we are able to preorder some goodies, so look for those soon. Lots of free' "swag" to bring home as well.
Here is a picture of Eva and me...so nice to meet her in person.....
But today we have a colour challenge for our hop and these are very spring like.....
Now as I was away I made a clean and simple , 10 minute or less card for today. Easy peasy my friends. I hope you like it.....
Using the C block I "stamped it " into the ink pad in the fabulous colours and then stamped that onto a piece of whisper white.
Then I used the leaves from the Seize the Day set and Call Me Clover ink to stamp onto the shape left from the Block.
This art piece was layered onto a piece of Calypso Coral and in turn a piece of Pineapple Punch.
The sentiment up top was layered with Call me Clover and the one on the bottom with Calypso Coral.
I added a few sequins to break up the space and tada!!! done. Now off to the rest of the hop.....

All the fabulous goodies I used today.....
Hello my friends, here we are again....Thursday Hop.
Today we have a sketch to play with and I hope you like my creation.
Here we go.
I used some Whisper White "heavy" ( I know it's called thick but I like the heavy term ??!! ) as I wasn't putting in too many layers. Then a piece of Nature's Poem DSP before I cut out two Ovals , one in Shaded Spruce and then the next size down in white.
I stamped the Sequoia tree image from Rooted in Nature in shaded spruce and layered onto the other oval.
The sentiment is from the Well Said set in the Occasions Catalogue. Love this bundle, I hope it carries over! I used Fresh Fig to stamp this.
I am loving these embellishments. They really add a special touch, and the burlap cut to pop behind the sentiment pulls out the colour of the leaves on DSP.
I also stamped inside with another sentiment from a different set, Happy Tails. Then a few leaves under the words and I was finished.
Now away to the rest of the hop...have fun.

Happy April to all!!
We have some cheery colours to play with today, I hope you have fun with them as well.
My card base is the Daffodil Delight , then I matted a piece of the Best Route DSP to back up some Grapefruit Grove . This I ran through the Big Shot in the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.
I pulled out the Stamp Set, Beautiful Promenade, stamped some flowers and leaves and dry fit before adhering.
Here you can see the embossing pretty good, even thought the colour looks off. Not sure what I did when I took my pictures , as it looks much "calmer" in person. I decided to use one of the flowers to stamp my sentiment on... Added a line of Lemon Lime Twist ribbon...oops I think it is gone....Sorry folks. I know we all have that stock of goodies that we forgot to hide away. Let's pretend it is the Ombre Ribbon.
Now onto the inside...I put the Whisper White in the Petal Burst embossing folder.... just because I like the effect. Then added the rest of the sentiment to display with a few leaves.
Off you go folks...have fun and thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all your kind words. Have fun...

Its' that day again and the end of March is right around the corner!!!
We have a special day today...it's Amy's birthday!!! So just for her we are sharing birthday cards with the sketch.
Happy Birthday Amy , I hope it's the best ever!!
Here is my take on the sketch......
I had fun with the Lift Me Up stamp set and the Up & Away thinlits... The big balloon is cut out of a piece of the Tranquil Textures DSP and the others were stamped in Tranquil Tide and cut out.
Here we see the dimensions of this Happy Birthday Amy card. Sneak peek inside .....
I stamped a few clouds and then cut out some others. I sponged the edges and used a Stampin' Write marker to add some lines. Adding the sentiment to the bottom, I had to "fudge " the sketch a bit as I didn't want to cover up the balloons.
I love the big balloon......
Inside we have a few more clouds and another sentiment for Amy !!! I so believe this of you !!!
Now off to the rest of the hop......and remember to add a special comment to Amy's blog for her special day.... Hugs .

Happy Thursday my friends. We have a colour challenge today and I had some fun with the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder.
Here are the colours....
And my card for today.....
So what I did was to sponge the three colours on the inside of the folder ( quite well! ) then I spritzed with water before laying in a piece of watercolor paper.
Then I ran it through the Big Shot and tada!!!
Once I took the paper out of the folder I did use the heat tool to dry things a bit. Then I adhered this to a piece of Whisper White and then both to a piece of Berry Burst. I love that the effect is random and not uniform. I think it adds to that vintage feel even with these colours.
Then I used the stitched shapes for the sentiment . A little sponging of the edges and a few embellishments and I was done. Oh and a ribbon too.....this I made with the merlot and copper...I know not on the challenge but it worked pretty good. This was fun and shows a different way of using the embossing folders. Give it a go!!
Now off to the rest of the hop...thanks for coming by and have fun. Hope we give you some inspiration to create your own art works....
