Intending to water the front yard garden areas ─ a chore that can easily exceed an hour ─ I set my cellphone alarm for 5:30 a.m., even though I had been up last evening a little later than planned because of a very extended series of texting with my wife, whom I suspect was drinking.

Initially she was her usual highly critical and unpleasant self saying rather hurtful things regarding finances, but she eventually seemed to achieve a change of heart. At one point she even said "you never go anywhere but no money too". Apparently it was not lost on her that I live like a virtual recluse in this house, socially isolated and unable to afford to go anywhere and enjoy myself.

I responded:

I know what you mean.
If I don't pay at least $400 each time to my credit card, the balance goes up.
Last time I paid just $335 and it went up $70.95.
So there is always that using up my money each month.

She:

Ok, will see if I be able to help for your credit
May be I can help like #100 a month

It is because of her that my credit card's balance grew so enormous. I had reached the point where I was comfortably paying it off each month. But this all began to change some years ago because I loaned it to her so she could supposedly repay a debt to someone that she had kept stalling on ... and then after she had my credit card, she went to a casino and started drawing money with my card. It went up to the order of some many thousands before I got it back.

I just responded:

You already have enough of your own troubles.

As for my morning, I did indeed water the front yard garden area beneath an overcast sky, and even felt a brief bit of rain that almost got pavement damp.

I was later than usual getting out to the backyard tool shed. After my usual 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area, by the time I got outside and then into the shed, it was 8 a.m.

I only managed a single repetition in each of the five sets of pull-ups and chin-ups that followed an opening set of three pull-ups, but I held the dead hang of the final pull-up for a 45-count before taking on the squat work to try and strengthen my crippled right knee and quadriceps.

Back in the house I heated up my day's first meal, and then brought that upstairs to eat here at my bedside computer. My younger brother was not to emerge from his bedroom until possibly at least 9:20 a.m., so I had plenty of time to set up what we would be watching on T.V. via our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box.

First, a nearly nine-minute (8:53) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: The BC Floor Crosser That Should Trigger a By-Election.

I then returned to YouTube for a 20-minute (20:27) video published earlier today to the Moose on the Loose channel: Pierre Poilievre Just Became the Target of a Full-Blown Smear Campaign.

I followed that with The Morning Show ─ episode six ("If Then") of the fourth season. A very touching conclusion involving the Stella character ─ I wonder if she's gone from the series now?

My brother and I finished up our viewing with the final 20 minutes of the old movie we got most of the way through Wednesday morning ─ 1960's Atom Age Vampire. I had the movie downloaded onto a thumb or flash drive inserted into our T95Q Android 9 TV Box, so I switched over to that device. My download source had been uploaded June 11, 2015, to YouTube's Kings of Horror channel: Atom Age Vampire | Full FREE Classic Horror Movie.

It had some moments, I'll give it that. But until I read an extended review of the movie, I had no idea that the blonde was a stripper and not an actress. Also, I didn't realize that the gals her seaman was chummy with at a bar or club weren't hostesses or showgirls, but strippers as well. Reportedly the 18 or so minutes that were cut from the full Italian movie for the English-dubbed version included scenes that might have made their roles more apparent.

A very witty review of the movie may have been published in 2015 and is titled Atom-Age Vampire/Seddok, L’Erede di Satana (1960/1963).

The full movie ─ had I only known, for it is supposedly dubbed in English ─ is at this OK.ru link. The stripper scene with Jeanette, the blonde, is right at the start ─ my brother and I were robbed of it in our shorter version of the film. Having now viewed it, actress Susanne Loret appeals to me more than she did in the shorter movie.

Why did she stop acting in 1963?

After it was over, my brother returned to his bedroom for further bed rest, and by maybe noon I was back to bed for a nap.

My wife finally showed up around 2 p.m. She had to work the latter part of today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, but she might not have left on her fairly long drive until as late as 3:30 p.m. Whatever the case, I was not to use her vacant bedroom for my usual afternoon exercising because she had enlisted me to spray all of the mealybug-infested jasmine plant she had here in the house, but which she put out on our backyard sundeck.

I don't know what her spray was ─ maybe dish detergent and white vinegar. But I added 70% isopropyl alcohol. I had to refill her spray container at least twice more, and I basically got just about ever leaf of this yard-high plant drenched with the spray ─ even the dirt the plant is rooted in looked like I had watered it, so much of the liquid had dripped and even run down from the plant.

So did I kill it? I don't know. But it was maybe around 4:30 p.m. by the time I was done, so too late to exercise ─ I just didn't feel like it.

Instead, I soon had a very light second and final meal of my day.

The day, incidentally, has pretty much been overcast, although there was a little weak sunshine while I was spraying the jasmine plant. It was very warm, too.

Obviously no sunning nor afternoon exercising today. Tomorrow is to be cloudy as well, but Sunday ought to be a sunny day.

I am going to take my blogging break to watch whatever T.V. show is at the top of my last, and have one of the four remaining cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) left in my stock ─ I may be unable to buy more until very late in the month, and I do not like this at all.

I will finish up the post later in the evening, for right now it is 6:56 p.m., and I want a beer!

When I discovered that the next show on my list was Black Mirror, I was apprehensive, for the episodes can be long, and are not often to my liking. When the episode in line proved to be 1½ hours ─ finale episode six ("USS Callister : Into Infinity") of season seven ─ I didn't know how I was going to get through the thing on just one damned beer!

Initially I was confused that the episode opened as if it was "Part 2" to a previous episode ... and as I watched, some of those snippets were very vaguely familiar. I kept with it, despite wondering if maybe I recently watched something related while very drunk.

Then once the show got going, everything was new. Whatever the previous material related to was lost to me. And I see now that "Part 1" was the premiere episode of season four back in 1917. I never watched it then, for we didn't have an Android TV Box ─ never even knew what they were!

But notwithstanding, I may have watched it pre-COVID, for I never kept any record of having watched it ─ I was not as detailed as I am now in my blog about shows I watch.

Most curious to me is that I almost immediately recognized the actor portraying the evil genius (who invented the Infinity game universe) as being in what is my current favourite T.V. series ─ Friday Night Lights. Actor Jesse Plemons plays awkward Landry hopelessly in love with Tyra. I think I am only an episode or two into the second season.

Anyway, yeah, I was almost enthralled with this episode of Black Mirror, and had to pour myself a big shot of Johnnie Walk Red Label Blended Scotch Whisky after my can of beer was done.

My cellphone alarm was set for 3 a.m. last night, but I was keen on rising earlier if I could do so naturally at some wakeful stretch. I only sleep in blocks that might be a half hour, or possibly an hour or so if I am truly weary. I tend to need to partially lie on my side and stomach to fall asleep; and then when I waken after a block of sleep in that position, I heave over to the opposite side and assume a similar position until I slip into another block of sleep.

And that is how I spend my night ─ block after block like that, waking and then switching over to the opposite partial side and stomach combination.

Anyway, after doing this four or five times last night, I decided to check the time, for I was ever aware that I absolutely had to get a $400 cash deposit accomplished at my financial institution's nearest ATM about a mile away, for the fortnightly mortgage payment was scheduled to happen today and I was just about that short on what was needed.

The earlier I did this, the better, for I had no idea when the debit might happen. Also, I had to get back home and transfer online the deposit to a different account, for the mortgage is debited from an account my ATM card cannot access.

When I was a younger man in my 20s and 30s, I would have jogged to the ATM and then back. But now my knees are both impaired. My right leg is so dire that I cannot run at all anymore, and I am in peril when jaywalking ─ I dare not attempt it if I can even see a distant car's headlights advancing and not stopped at a traffic light.

So the point in my night arrived when I peeked at the time and saw it to be something like 1:29 a.m. ─ good enough! I rose, but was dismayed to realize that my idiot younger brother was still watching T.V. downstairs. I had no desire to be sharing with him what my financial plights are, revealing what a crucial fix I was in.

I do not drive ─ I have never owned a car nor a driver's licence. And I have not had a functioning bicycle since before my 'good' knee incurred the complete avulsion (tearing off) of my left leg's quadriceps tendon from my knee cap back on November 1, 2010.

And now I am a 76-year-old cripple who is too poor to even begin to contemplate something like a taxi. And because I am too proud to be seen hobbling slowly about in the pubic, I only risk outings in the wee a.m. ─ except for occasional shopping on a Sunday at the store a half mile off that opens at 8 a.m.

Sundays that early tend to be less populated out there than other days of the week.

As for my brother, once I was dressed here in my bedroom, I waited him out, banking that he was watching something that would conclude no later than 2 a.m.

I surmised correctly.

He went to his bedroom, and I was free to make my departure unheeded.

All proceeded uneventfully, with no encounter with anyone except for a young, gayly talkative, couple I bypassed once I was on the main highway near to my destination.

On my return journey, I did contemplate stopping in at the elementary school playground, but I deemed it crucial that I get home and make the necessary online money transfer. I am clueless on whether the mortgage debit is always performed by a human, or if it is automated and is just performed mechanically at some appointed time on the scheduled day.

Happily, there seemed no account activity yet, so I succeeded.

I was later to receive a warning email at 7:15 a.m. that the mortgage account had dipped below the threshold of $100 ─ this is at which point such warnings are sent out.

This is my brother's birthday. Fortunately a couple or so weeks ago when I still had the money and even some hope, I bought him two 750-ml bottles of Scotch, each a different brand name. Before I returned to bed, I left these on his foot rest where he seats himself in his favourite chair to watch T.V. in the living room.

I am unsure just when I returned to bed after my outing, but I will guess maybe around 4 a.m.? I set my cellphone alarm for 6:30 a.m., at any rate. I wanted to ensure that I could have the half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups out in the backyard tool shed.

When 6:30 a.m. sounded, I definitely required the usual mug of instant coffee with which to wash down an aspirin, but I needed to await the water's boiling.

It was likely at least 7:45 a.m. before I tackled the 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before I ventured out into the backyard and soon visited the tool shed. I was going to dispense with the squat work ─ the earlier walk was sufficient 'therapy'.

As for my performance in the tool shed using the sides of the child's metal playground ladder that I have stretched across some roof rafters and is all I have to do these exercises with, I think that I opened with three pull-ups in the first set. If I am remembering this correctly and it was not just two pull-ups, then my totals were thus: two sets of pull-ups (3,1), two sets of chin-ups (2,1), and two sets of pull-ups between the two bars (2,1). I held the dead hang of that final pull-up for a 45-count.

Back in the house I put together a light first meal of my day, and had that eaten here at my bedside computer before my brother emerged from his bedroom right around 8:30 a.m. for his T.V. news and some instant coffee.

I joined him at the T.V. a little past 9 a.m., but it was still around 9:15 a.m. before he issued his invitation for me to commence operation of our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box.

I started us off with a 22-minute (22:47) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's PortuguesePai channel: Trump’s Next Move Is Already Terrifying the Left.

My brother returned to his bedroom for further bed rest, and possibly early into the noon hour I was back to bed for my midday nap. I may have been abed 1½ hours, and napped so deeply that when I finally roused I was confused and believed it might be nighttime. I had also dreamed deeply.

The morning had been overcast, but after my nap it appeared that I might be doing some sunning. However by 3 p.m. I only saw grey sky again, so I aborted that notion. Things did perk up somewhat later, but by then I was not interested in wasting the time ─ it was too late.

I had the frequent half hour afternoon exercise session in my wife's vacant bedroom, and I have since had my day's second and final meal.

Right now it is 6:47 p.m., so I am going to have my blogging break and watch here on my bedside computer an episode of whatever T.V. show is next on my list, and enjoy the only can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) I dare drink, for doing so will leave me with just four cans and no idea when I can afford to buy more.

My can of beer was drunk while enjoying a most intense episode of The Guardian ─ season two finale episode 23 ("All the Rage"). My reluctant choice of source was at M4uFree.cx where I had seven new and unwanted advertising browser tabs forced on me before I finally got the right episode playing in full-screen format.

So I certainly do not recommend that website.

But I loved the drama of that episode, even though it made me feel so uptight and stressed because I know that I could never live with that level of it in my own working life. And there are no solutions ─ not as presented in the storylines.

The episode was done by 8:08 p.m.

And then I started getting a lengthy series of text exchanges with my wife who must likely be doing some drinking wherever she is. It all involved our financial crises, and the real possibility of having to give up and just sell the house. She's further strained because of having to give me that $400 when she wants badly to visit Thailand late in September.

What she doesn't remotely know as yet is that I am pretty much tired of living. I often feel that I want to sell the house, become debt free, give her and her two sons a share each of whatever remains after my brother gets his lion's share, and then I will just give up and go away and die somewhere alone.

I am so despondent constantly worrying about debt and bills and how little I can spend, while meantime being a virtual housebound prisoner of my own home due to the environment hereabouts where I am smothered by miles and miles of mostly South Asians in every direction, and the street traffic to boot.

I so badly miss being a younger man when I could walk and run and cycle in the daytime ─ there was some taste of freedom. I don't have that nor any youthful optimism anymore.

It's already 9:20 p.m., and she keeps adding another text.

I'm calling it quits on the blogging for today. Bedtime well before 11 p.m., for sure.

Desperate Measure

I had set my cellphone alarm for 3 a.m. just to see if maybe my wife had slipped under my bedroom door the $400 required for meeting what is needed for tomorrow's mortgage debit. It was not there. Had it been, I would have dressed and made the two-mile round trip hobble to my financial institution's nearest ATM.

Since that was not going to be necessary, I reset my alarm for 6 a.m. and returned to bed to sleep a little further. My wife still seemed to be up, by the way. I don't recall hearing her come home following her full day working at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

She has Wednesdays and Thursdays off work.

At 6 a.m., things progressed normally enough. Around 7:30 a.m. I tackled the 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before proceeding to the backyard and then the tool shed for my usual 15 minutes of exercise there.

Mindful of what might be contributing to the wretched thumb joint pain in both of my hands, when I engaged the half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups using the thick sides of the child's metal playground ladder that I have atop some roof rafters, I did my best to attain a hold that was not compressing the main thumb joints so fiercely tight against the metal.

So, two sets of pull-ups (2,1 reps); two sets of chin-ups (2,1); and two sets of pull-ups between the two bars (1,1), with a 45-count dead hang after lowering from the final pull-up.

Then I performed the squat work to strengthen my crippled right leg.

Back in the house I gathered up a light breakfast and then brought that upstairs to eat here at my bedside computer.

My younger brother was to emerge from his bedroom just a few minutes past 8 a.m. to watch his T.V. news shows and drink instant coffee, so I left him to it until a little past 9 a.m. Nevertheless, I still had to wait until just about 9:15 a.m. before he turned the T.V. over to me and I could commence operation of our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box.

I then switched over to the USB drive inserted into our T95Q Android 9 TV Box and we watched over two/thirds of a 1960 horror / science fiction movie, but with 20 minutes remaining, we suspended it so my brother could get further bed rest.

I may have made it back to bed ahead of noon for my nap, wanting to do so before my wife rose for the day.

As it happened, she was not to emerge from her bedroom until after my nap was done. She did give me the $400, but wants me to return that amount as quickly as I can because she is hoping to buy a flight to Thailand to visit her mother in or at the end of September ─ the ticket needs buying long before that, of course.

There is no way I can give her back $400 that quickly ─ heck, I am going to be well short on the mortgage payment due two weeks from tomorrow, but I will wait until after mid-month before soliciting my brother for help, for as yet I do not know how much help I will require.

And there is also the matter of a credit card payment due in two weeks at most requiring a minimum payment of $233.47 that will only see the balance of debt rise ─ I need to be able to pay closer to $400 to avoid that mess. Last time I only paid $335 and my balance debt rose by $70.95.

This is sickening.

Anyway, an overcast morning resulted in quite a sunny afternoon; but with my wife here, and it being a bath day, I remained inside. Obviously I did not exercise in her bedroom this afternoon, even though she took off around 3:20 p.m. and typically will likely not be back until at least Friday afternoon.

I noticed that she left with however much Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) remained in the four-litre box of mine that I let her have a few days ago. And since I only have six cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) remaining, I will be drinking just one this evening while watching an episode of whatever T.V. show is next on my list.

Now, the mortgage payment will be debited tomorrow ... but when? Is it safe for me to rise at 3 a.m., leave here around 3:30 a.m. and hobble over to make the deposit shortly before 4 a.m.; then get all the way back home and do an online account transfer of the money because my ATM card does not connect with the account the mortgage will be taken from?

Damn, I hate this ─ I hate being an old, financially struggling, 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃ℊ cripple!

I had that bath shortly after my wife left, and I have since supped. Right now it is 6:44 p.m., so I am going to break from this post to drink my one allowed beer and watch a show.

I will report back afterwards. Right now it is 6:45 p.m.

My only show this evening was The Handmaid's Tale ─ episode four ("Dear Offred") of season five. My source was at GOOJARA.to.

When I saw that this was to be my next show, recent episodes have made such a positive impression on me that I am now quite enjoying them, so I did not mind at all that this series was in store.

I even had occasion to feel my eyes burning with emotion at least a couple of times. I could easily have drunk a little more than the allotted single can of beer.

The episode ended by 8:00 p.m., just ahead of hearing my younger brother enter the house, home from wherever he had left before mid-afternoon to bus and go social drinking.

I have been struggling over what to do about this $400 deposit. Might it be best to rise even earlier than 3 a.m.?

I am going to start closing down everything requiring it here on my computer and then get to bed. Gosh, I still have to brush my teeth.

If I happen to waken earlier than 3 a.m. and feel capable of making this wretched venture, I will do it.

Despair is mine.

Right now it is 8:35 p.m. ─ may all go ideally well.

Looking Back Far Too Much

Well, I managed to rise at 3 a.m. as planned, and I was probably on my way just ahead of 4 a.m. The plan was to make the two-mile round trip hobble to my financial institution's nearest ATM and make two envelope deposits: one of $300 cash, and one of my younger brother's monthly expenses reconciliation for $121.75.

Apart from having to jaywalk a main highway closer to an intersection than I was comfortable about (since I can no longer run) due to some probable street person lolling on a low retaining wall right where I otherwise would have crossed; and also passing behind two bus shelters that had someone sleeping on the bench inside each of them; I had no consequences and got the deposits made.

Then on my return, I stopped in at the elementary school playground to again pit myself against a half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups to see if I could match my previous totals. And I guess I did: three pull-ups in the opening set, with two repetitions in each of the subsequent five sets of pull-ups and chin-ups. I also managed a dead hang for an 80-count before moseying over to the metal ramp for 10 slow full-range decline push-ups.

I forgot to weigh myself after getting home, but I am sure that was primarily because I never entered the house for possibly an hour due to watering the front yard garden areas. In the course of doing that I believe that I killed four or so mosquitoes after discovering them already on or else attempting to land on one of my hands.

Evidently one had been on my hand long enough to gorge herself with my blood, for I had such a bloody smear after smiting it that at first I believed that I must have scraped open a pimple or something.

My wife's car was of course in the open carport, but I do not recall hearing her come home last evening following her full day of work at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

It was around 6:08 a.m. before I got back to bed, my cellphone alarm set for 8 a.m. to get me up in plenty of time for the usual morning T.V. with my brother.

My main thumb joints have been unduly painful of late ─ they actually burn as opposed to ache. I have come to wonder if maybe the condition is not due to excessive and often aggressive keyboard pounding here on my computer. My brother sought his further bed rest after this, and I was to bed fairly early into the noon hour for my nap.

Following my nap, I had a half hour light exercise session in her vacant bedroom. Then just before 3 p.m. I started about 1½ hours of backyard sunning. However, it started hazing up so badly that it was difficult for my to determine the outlines of shadows. This sort of thing makes me feel like I am wasting my time out there.

Unfortunately, I managed to use my tank top to swat a green- or bluebottle fly, rendering it incapable of flying any longer. I never feel good about this, but they should just leave me alone and quit lighting on me.

It won't live long if it cannot fly.

I am taking my blogging break now at 7:01 p.m. to watch a single T.V. show here on my bedside computer, for I can only drink one can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol). I am too destitute to buy more, and I will only have six remaining, with no idea when I will be able to afford any more beer once these are done.

I am still feeling betrayed by God.

It was interestingly entertaining enough, but I neglected to take note of just when it finished ─ was it as late as 8:15 p.m.? I don't know.

My wife got paid today, and is supposed to surrender $400 to me so that there will be enough money in my account for the fortnightly mortgage debit due this coming Thursday. I expect that she will not get home until after I have retired for the night. If she pays me in cash, I am somewhat befuddled as to how I can get the money into my account in time, for I do not care to be hobbling anywhere during busy weekdays as opposed to the dark wee a.m.

Perhaps I should set my cellphone alarm for 3 a.m. just to see if she slips the money beneath my bedroom door?

She has tomorrow off work as a rule.

I don't feel communicative, so I am going to end this post here at 8:32 p.m. My brother just got home from where he had bused mid-afternoon to social drink.

Bad Ideas

I am unsure if I heard my wife come home late last evening from her full day of work at the Thai restaurant where she is employed. I had already gone to bed, but it is possible that I may have heard her.

Today has not been a good day for me, for I feel betrayed by God.

My day commenced at 6 a.m. when my cellphone alarm summoned me to rise. I was to soon make some calculations, and I discovered that I am about $400 shy of what is needed for this coming Thursday's debit for the mortgage. I had found my younger brother's monthly expenses reconciliation cheque on the living room coffee table, and it was only for $121.75, but at least I had a figure to work with to determine the shortfall.

I will still have to deposit $300 that I have on hand, as well as the cheque, but everything I can do will leave the account shy by that previously quoted figure.

I had been praying for a miracle, hoping God would secure me from having to plea for succour from family, but it seems that even at this late stage of my life He is never going to free me of dependence, whether upon them, predatory institutions like banks and credit cards (i.e., usurers), or governments.

I seem fated to die in financial thralldom ─ bondage ─ to others.

Anyway, around 7:35 - 7:40 a.m. I performed 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before going out into the backyard, and then working my way to the tool shed for the usual 15 minutes of exercise there.

Perhaps it was my near anguish at my plight, but it has been long since I fared so well in the shed, opening with a set of three pull-ups, then a set of two further pull-ups. Not only that, but I then managed two chin-ups in the two sets of those that followed the pull-ups. However, I was still held at a single pull-up in the next two sets between the two bars of the metal child's playground ladder stretched across some roof rafters ─ my sole means of these exercises.

I held the dead hang of the final pull-up before moving on to the squat work to strengthen my crippled right knee and quadriceps.

The blue sky betokened an even sunnier day than was yesterday.

Back in the house I gathered together a fairly light first meal of my day, and that was eaten here at my bedside computer.

My brother emerged from his bedroom quite ahead of 8:30 a.m. to watch his T.V. news shows and drink instant coffee; I joined him around 9 a.m.

My brother returned to his bedroom for further bed rest. I sought my nap well into the first half of the noon hour, and was to bed a likely hour or so.

I was going to have to contact my wife about the $400 shortfall.

She had another full workday today, not emerging from her bedroom until 9:45 a.m., but managing to ready and be off on her rather long drive by 10:05 a.m. or so.

With her gone, I decided to have a half hour light exercise session in her bedroom before sending her a text at 2:30 p.m.:

We can talk about it on Wednesday, but don't go crazy when you get paid tomorrow ─ I am about $400 too short of Thursday's mortgage.

Then I went out into the backyard to sun, my official session spanning from 2:51 p.m. - 4:20 p.m., if I am remembering rightly. Quite early into the session, my wife texted me back:

I need to save money to buy a ticket to Thailand, so I will give you $400 first.

This is the first that I have learned of her hope to visit her mother back in Thailand. This makes me feel quite impotent as a husband and provider.

Yeah, I'm feeling down.

And now with just eight cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) in stock, I have to limit myself to just one per evening, so I will only be watching one T.V. show here on my bedside computer to enjoy the beer with.

With that said, it is presently 6:54 p.m., so I shall take that break now.

I could hardly believe my blessed fortune when I saw that my first show was to be Friday Night Lights ─ episode two ("Bad Ideas") of season two. I reluctantly found myself settling on Tvids.net as my source ─ the damned website is so touchy that practically every contact of the mouse throws up a hijacking tab to another (advertising) website.

I finished my beer too early, and due to how caught up I was in the show, I poured myself a large shot glass of Johnnie Walker Red Label Blended Scotch Whisky. And the show was done by 7:53 p.m., I believe.

The last segment had me in tearful emotion ─ I hate being so alone sometimes and so truthfully helpless.

I heard my brother cough downstairs, so I knew that he had gotten back during the episode from wherever he had left before mid-afternoon and bused to social drink.

I still had half the shot glass remaining, so I tuned in a sitcom that I haven't watched for a while. Specifically, Kitchen Confidential ─ episode 10 ("Praise Be Praise") of the only season. My source this time was at TVids.to ─ different domain, but same complaint.

I never even remotely cracked the start of a smile of amusement. And the show was ─ I believe ─ done by 8:45 p.m.

I intend to be getting up at 3 a.m. to make the two-mile round trip hobble to my financial institution's nearest ATM to deposit either the $121.75 cheque or else the $300 ─ I don't think it's likely a safe thing to deposit both in the same envelope. But that of course requires a second trip to make another deposit early Wednesday.

Man, this truly sucks.

Right now it is 9:06 p.m.; I am going to brush my teeth, and then begin finalizing and shutting down everything requiring it on this computer.

Sleeping as brokenly as I tend to, I did not at all feel like rising to my 5 a.m. cellphone alarm this morning. But I did, and I went out into the front yard to water the garden areas after putting on a kettle of water to slow-boil for a later mug of instant coffee that would be washing down an aspirin.

The agenda this morning was a hobble to No Frills a half mile from here. It doesn't open until 8 a.m., but it was closing in on that hour before I even left home, by which time my younger brother had emerged from his bedroom especially early and was already watching his T.V. news shows and drinking instant coffee.

I dared not spend much money, for I am bewildered how I am going to manage all of this coming Thursday's mortgage payment, let alone the one two weeks later that will be due before I receive my monthly pension income.

And how am I going to make the credit card payment due around the end of the third week of this month ─ the minimum payment will probably be nigh $270, but even that will in no way reduce the balance ─ to do that a payment of $400 would only reduce it by several dollars.

I keep praying ─ maybe that's why I am not yet completely freaking out. But sometimes....

Anyway, I managed to spend something like $43.20, if I am remembering correctly.

I was back home and here to my bedside computer by maybe 8:33 p.m. Then right around 9 a.m. I joined my brother for our usual morning T.V. together, although it was at least 9:10 a.m. before he invited me to take over with out R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box.

I led off with a YouTube channel I have not before sampled, tuning in the three latest videos, all of which were under 10 minutes. The channel is Fight for Canada. We actually only watched about half of the third video because as my brother complained, the host basically said much the same rant in each of them. As well, he offered no video clips to back himself up, nor did he have a guest. So just watching the same angry dude repeating himself through three videos was sufficient ─ I feel no inclination to return to the channel, but I do wish him well with it, for I do agree with him.

Our next video just exceeded an hour (1:01:32) and had been published two days ago to Rumble's Daniel Davis Deep Dive channel: RUSSIA LEARNS FROM IRAN WAR /Alastair Crooke & Lt Col Daniel Davis.

Then I switched over to the USB drive inserted into our T95Q Android 9 TV Box and we finished watching the last half or so of the movie we started watching on Friday ─ 2007's Americanizing Shelley.

Lead actress Namrata Singh Gujral was pretty much what made the movie watchable ─ and she turned out to be delightfully leggy. Sure, her legs were rather trim, but nicely muscled nevertheless; I was expecting that she had nothing much to offer in that department.

I originally downloaded the movie because it featured an early appearance by actress Helena Mattsson, but if I did see her, it had to have been very brief and unspoken.

My wife had a full workday scheduled at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time. She got home last evening just after I had gone to bed. I hope she went easy on the four-litre box of red wine that I allowed her to retain in her bedroom, for she seemed very subdued this morning when she came downstairs to prepare a hot beverage in the kitchen and very soon head for the front door to leave on her fairly long drive a little past 10 p.m.

I hadn't sunned in what seems at least 10 days, so I wanted to get in some sunning this afternoon. First, though, I used my wife's vacant bedroom at maybe 2:15 p.m. for a half hour of light exercising. By the time I was done, my brother had left for a bus to carry him away to social drink.

I got in a little over an hour of sunning, basically from 3 - 4:09 p.m.; and then I watered the backyard garden plants before returning into the house to gather up my day's second and final meal.

It was sunny enough, but the sky was a fairly faded blue due to very light haze.

Right now at 6:27 p.m. I am going to take my blogging break to watch some T.V. shows here on my bedside computer and do a little drinking; but due to my economic plight, I am only going to drink two cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) and leave the wine for my wife. Unfortunately, this will also limit me to just two T.V. episodes.

This haunts me ─ my shows and some drinking are my only release, and I only have 10 cans of beer in my supply. I need a miracle.

My first show was very enjoyable, for it was The Rookie ─ episode 13 ("The Thinker") of season eight. My source was at TVSeries.video.

I enjoyed the episode so much that during it I wondered how I am going to hold myself to just two shows each evening until my 10 beers run out?

The episode was done by 7:23 p.m.

What was to be my final show was Doom Patrol ─ episode eight ("Subconscious Patrol") of season three. My source was at GOOJARA.to.

Roughly midway through the episode I heard my younger brother into one of his extended roaring sneezing fits, so I knew he had gotten home. As often as not, these fits seize him when he starts to choke on his own slobber while passed out. Whether that was the case this time, I do not know, but he was definitely passed out in his chair downstairs in the living room 'watching' T.V with Bev when Doom Patrol ended at 8:50 p.m. and I peered downstairs as I returned to my bedroom after using the toilet.

The show was pointless garbage, but still somewhat entertaining due to my familiarity with the main characters. The Rookie episode eclipsed it in value.

I took the time afterwards to brush my teeth, and now it is 10 p.m. ─ I am easily making do without a third show or more drink, which is good news for me. That Doom Patrol episode was 55 minutes, so it used up more viewing time than I usually have with an episode of a series.

I might as well commence shutting down everything requiring it here on my computer and get to bed. It will be a 6 a.m. start to the morning tomorrow, unless I sleep especially bad and rise beforehand on my own.

Dove's Hawk Is Gone?

The plan for the pre-dawn was to get away on the two-mile round trip hobble to deposit $1,000 in cash at my financial institution's nearest ATM. My chequing account was shy by hundreds of dollars to meet the cheque I had written out to pay the property taxes due two days ago. If that cheque got negotiated today ─ the banks open on Saturdays, after all, and some even on Sundays for a short time ─ then I was hooped.

The $1,000 is not a result of some wealth in cash on hand. Half of it was a cash portion of my younger brother's contribution to the property taxes, and the other half was cash my wife had given me in return for an e-Transfer she had asked me to make to her of that amount so that she could send money to her mother over in Thailand.

At one point overnight I was conscious enough to be wary of the time ─ perhaps I had risen and used the toilet. At any rate I checked the time in near dread that my cellphone alarm setting of 3:30 a.m. was nigh and I was going to have to bite the bullet and remain up, but I still had well over 1½ hours to go before the alarm sounded.

This allowed me a little further sleep.

When the alarm did sound, I rose and wasted little time in readying, and I was likely on my way barely past 4 a.m. Already the eastern night sky was turning from black to a vague bluish colour. There didn't seem to be much cloud, and I was expecting a sunny day.

I got to the ATM and made the deposit without incident, but some insane and/or stoned probable street person I had been hearing roaring out the word "𝖋𝔲𝖈𝔨" every half minute or so hove into view pushing a shopping cart down the street. He was seemingly fairly short, and attired in black, including a black hood. As my luck had it, he was headed in the direction I needed to go, for the intersection I could use to take me away from him was just ahead of him.

However, the guy stopped short of it where there must have been a bag or something of empties he began rooting through and adding to whatever he had in his cart. Meantime, he was quietly talking to himself, and maybe even singsonging.

This forced me to stand and waste time as I awaited him to continue his journey, which he did after a two or three minutes.

I was to hear him yell "𝖋𝔲𝖈𝔨" maybe three more times before I was sufficiently removed from him that I no longer took notice.

Incidentally, as I awaited the intersection light change, what appeared to be a couple of girls coming from behind me on the intersecting street ─ they were some distance off yet ─ were advancing in my direction, while every number of seconds one of them kept calling out very loudly what sounded like, "Nikita?!"

I got my light and crossed the main highway down which the cart-pusher had gone, and was on my way and likely unseen by the time the noisy girls got to the intersection. They seemed to stand there, the one still shouting out the name.

I had made this very hobble exactly two mornings earlier, so like I did back then, I stopped in at the elementary school playground to see if I could match the half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups performed at that time.

I did ─ sure, it was only two repetitions in each of the sets, but usually I can only manage one repetition after an opening set of two.

I also held a dead hang for an 80-count before working my way over to a metal wheelchair or accessibility ramp that leads up to a portable or modular classroom's door, and there I managed to hold out for 10 slow full-range decline push-ups.

So I almost perfectly reproduced Thursday's exercise session.

However, once back home I completely forgot to weigh myself fully clothed to see if I was the 190 pounds I was two days earlier, or maybe even slightly heavier.

It was maybe 5:08 a.m. by the time I was upstairs and here in my bedroom where I keep this bedside computer, but I didn't make it back to bed for around an hour ─ my cellphone alarm set for 8 a.m. so that I would not miss any of the usual morning T.V. time with my younger brother.

I was up again at 8 a.m. as planned, and he emerged from his bedroom towards 8:30 a.m. to watch his T.V. news shows and drink instant coffee. As usual, I waited until a little past 9 a.m. before joining him.

It was not until 9:20 a.m. that he invited me to tune in something with our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box, but he cautioned that at 10 a.m. he intended to watch the scheduled FIFA Canada versus Morocco game (I just now checked and see that we got our asses kicked 0-3, so we're done).

We were to watch two videos, beginning with a nine-minute (9:02) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Bryan Adams Blowing it with New Song "51st State".

Bryan Adams has been living in the UK for 30 years but releases cringy new anti-Trump, anti -51st state song.

Then I settled with a 21-minute (21:40) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's PortuguesePai channel: Cabinet Civil War: Carney’s Inner Circle is beginning to Fracture.

And that was it. I may even have been back to bed by 10:30 a.m., but certainly well before 11 a.m. And although it seemed to me I was sleeping long, it turned out that I was rising fairly early into the noon hour.

Note that ever since my first return to bed following my outing, I have felt enfeebled and foggy-headed because I am doing without any caffeine today, nor am I taking in any calories, for I do not intend to eat until after 6 p.m.

Consequently, when I was back to bed late in the morning, I felt myself to be in a pathetic daze, dreaming much.

Last evening just before I got to bed, my wife managed to catch me after she arrived home from working the latter part of the day at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time ─ she appropriated my newly opened four-litre box of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol).

She had the same workday in store today, so she didn't emerge from her bedroom until shortly after I had finished my late morning nap. She immediately went downstairs to the kitchen and began cooking.

Around 2 p.m. she called to me if I wanted to eat. I certainly did, but I was going to stick to my fast until 6 p.m. Nevertheless, I did go downstairs and was dished up a bowl of the Thai noodle dish she had stir-fried. I kept that out of sight here in my bedroom so as not to be too teased and tortured.

As she was about to leave around 3:10 p.m. on her longish drive to work, she let me know that another dish on the stove apparently contains lamb.

Yum!!!

The afternoon was a mix of blue sky and sunshine, plus masses and masses of huge greyish-white clouds. Tomorrow is supposed to be our purely sunny day, and then we'll be back to more of the cloud and Sun that makes sunning too troublesome for me. I will have to do my best to get out into the backyard tomorrow afternoon if indeed there are no interfering clouds drifting about.

It appeared that I was going to get an extra early start on the usual three T.V. series I intended to watch, thereby doing some drinking ─ this indulgence would be the technical breaking of my fast, I suppose; but I have no other means of anything like enjoyment here in this house that is my economic and societal prison.

Then just as I was seeing no further impediment to that activity, it suddenly dawned upon me that this was a bath day ─ a chore that consumes a full hour from the time I close the bathroom door until I open it again.

Before stepping into the tub, I had a naked weigh-in ─ I was at most 181 pounds.

At least the very hot bath invigorated me, accelerating my vital systems and purging much that had been sluggish.

At the present it is 4:46 p.m., so I am going to have that break now. I will conclude the post in the latter evening.

With considerable delight, I saw that my first show was to be Titans ─ episode three ("Hank & Dove") of season three. My source was at MoviesJoyTV.co.

The ending was quite touching ─ I never imagined that they would kill off Hawk (Hank). And to have poor Dove be the unwitting executioner? This was wicked, and I don't like it. Jason has to die, as does whomever brought him back. I used to like that cocky kid ─ no more.

I watched the show along with about a dozen ounces of the (my) red wine in my wife's bedroom, and the show was over by 6:03 p.m.

Free to eat, my meal looked a little inadequate to meet what my appetite was ready for. Even so, by the end, I was stuffed ─ even before I had quite finished. I do not have the stomach of my younger self back in my 20s in the 1970s.

My next show proved to be S.W.A.T. ─ episode 14 ("The B-Team") of season two. My source this time was at TVids.tv.

It was better than I expected, and a couple of times even touched me emotionally to some degree. I didn't expect that. Still, I will place Titans in the lead with one show to go.

The can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) I drank during S.W.A.T. was not much enjoyed ─ I just wanted the buzz it would add to the wine. The show was done by 7:53 p.m.

Perhaps I will edge Humans above Titans, with S.W.A.T. last because it is too 'real life' and doesn't offer the escapism I crave or need.

I have too much to say relating to my profound social isolation, so I am not going to attempt it. I will only say that Humans was done by 8:55 p.m.

I then took the 15 or so minutes required for me to brush my teeth, and in exiting my bedroom for the bathroom I noticed that my brother was home from wherever he had bused in the early afternoon to social drink ─ he appeared to be passed out in his chair in the living room 'watching' T.V. with Bev.

Right now it is 9:51 p.m.and I am going to commence shutting down everything on this computer requiring it, then I will get to bed. I cannot easily do without liquid whipping cream for my coffees, and my litre carton is nearing half empty. Since I only shop for groceries on Sundays, I must make the venture tomorrow despite my low financial resources. I will just have to skimp on my purchases.

I would normally only rise at 6 a.m. for this, but I feel I should water the front yard garden areas, so 5 a.m. it is.

Desperation

Another of those nights wherein the latter part finds me fighting to keep returning to some sleep as I await the sounding of my 6 a.m. cellphone alarm ─ at which point I rose, feeling racked with joint and muscle aches, and wanting still more time in bed.

I have gotten rather eager now for that aspirin and the mug of instant coffee that washes it down.

We must have had further rain overnight, for everything outside was absolutely soggy.

It was at least 7:40 a.m. when I forced out the 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before going out into the backyard and then the tool shed for my usual 15-minute exercise session ─ two pull-ups as a first set, and then five further sets of pull-ups and chin-ups of a mere single repetition in each set.

Then the squat work to strengthen my damaged right knee and quadriceps.

Once back in the house I got together my day's first fairly light meal, and then I ate it here at my bedside computer.

My younger brother never emerged from his bedroom until nigh 9:50 a.m., by which time I was most of the way through an 18-minute (18:21) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's Moose on the Loose channel: Mark Carney Announces New Pipeline... With a Massive Catch.

Next I tried a 33-minute (33:21) video uploaded earlier today to Rumble's Megyn Kelly On Rumble channel: Restored Republic via a GCR Update as of July 5, 2026 - Judy Byington. However, I only required a minute at most to cancel right out of it because of how much I despise A.I. narration, especially when it mispronounces certain words so damned annoyingly.

I do the same at YouTube. A lot of wildlife videos use horrible A.I. narration, and now it has come to the point where no matter how much the video might be interesting, I just cannot bear hearing the narration, so I shut the useless things right down now. I am merciless that way.

I chose entertainment after this, tuning in Juliet Bravo ─ episode 15 ("The Anastasia Syndrome") of the first season (or series). My source had been uploaded January 4 earlier this year to YouTube's Mister Range. channel: Juliet Bravo-The Anastasia Syndrome.

We enjoy these older British police dramas.

We were to finish up with a movie, but due to my brother's preoccupation with laundering, he asked that I save what remained, and we'll watch the second half or so in a day or two. I had the movie downloaded onto a thumb or flash drive, so that will not be an issue.

I wasn't to bed for my nap until just past 1 p.m., and was only abed for maybe 50 minutes. By then my wife was home and busy cooking downstairs. She would be leaving very soon past 3 p.m. because she was scheduled to work the latter part of today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

While she was here, she gave me $500 and asked that I transfer the same amount online to her email address ─ I expect that she likely intends to send most or even all of it to her mother over in Thailand.

But now more than ever I must get money deposited into our chequing account because it is hundreds of dollars short of the property taxes that were paid by cheque yesterday. I hate having to do this, but very early tomorrow I will have to make the two-mile round trip hobble to my financial institution's nearest ATM and deposit $1,000 in cash.

I'll be able to have enough money in the account then for when the cheque gets negotiated, but it is going to be a stretch to have the next mortgage payment next Thursday covered.

This is demoralizing, having to constantly worry about my financial plight. I have no idea how I am to come up with the nearly $300 minimum payment for a credit card that will have to be paid by around the end of the third week of this month.

Sometimes I wish I had no responsibilities to anyone but me and then I could just go somewhere and die.

Maybe I will take a break from this post now. I had a half hour of exercising in my wife's vacant bedroom, but now I am going to gather up my day's second and final meal before watching two or three T.V. shows here on my bedside computer so that I can do some drinking and escape my reality for a little while.

With a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) to hand, I tuned in FBI ─ episode eight ("Ratlined") of season eight. My source was at GOOJARA.to.

It was a good episode, even if it never touched me emotionally. And it was done by 6:15 p.m.

My second show will be the tops of my viewing, for it was excitement right from the start. I am referring to Teen Wolf ─ episode seven ("Night School") of the first season. My source was at CineGo.co.

Yes, this was truly entertaining, and more along what I most enjoy. However, even it failed to affect my emotions, despite a second can of beer. And it was done by 7:07 p.m.

I then took a break to spend the 15 or so minutes that it takes for me to brush my teeth before I watched anything further.

Although I might not rate my third show any higher than the FBI episode, darned if it didn't cause my eyes to burn at the conclusion. I'm speaking of FBI: Most Wanted ─ episode 13 ("Greek Tragedy") of season six. My source was at GOOJARA.to.

What caught me is that Agent Hana Gibson does not biologically appeal to me at all, but when she offered to stand with her rather failed Air Marshal (ex-)boyfriend Ethan who confessed his addiction to pain killers, it struck me that similar sacrificial support from someone like her would hit me deeply.

The show was over by 8:39 p.m.

Regardless, I had broached my unopened four-litre box of Sommet Rough red wine (12% alcohol) and enjoyed it through the show, but I am still keenly worried about how I am going to get through this month with two mortgage payments that will strike before my monthly pension shows up towards month's end.

I don't care to be making that ATM deposit tomorrow morning on what I believe is the true Sabbath, but I have no idea if banks transact business on Saturdays ─ they're open, so are Saturdays now banking business days? There might be an attempt to negotiate my cheque for the property taxes, and thus I feel I cannot dare await Monday.

Why does God not openly answer a lifetime of pleas and make desperate acts like this unnecessary? Why cannot I be freed from my dependence upon State and my familial financial responsibilities that have me in such monstrous debt?

I was going to watch a sitcom, but I must not risk sitting up late this evening if I am to try and rise at 3 a.m. and later get away on that monstrous deposit errand. Since it is already 9:27 p.m., I had best just start slowly shutting down everything that I have open on my computer, and then get to bed.

Shadow of Angels: Part 1

I cannot recall my bedtime last evening, but it was definitely later than I ever intended. Even so, I believe that I set my cellphone alarm for 3:30 a.m. to get me up because I was desperate to deposit the cheque my younger brother had written out to me as better than half of the two/fifths share for him and Bev of the property taxes coming due today.

My financial institution's ATM is nigh a mile away, and so the round trip has become quite a challenge for me now with a crippled right knee that makes my walking style a hobble. I detest walking in the day when people can see me.

After some sleep overnight, though, I found myself awake enough to be curious of the time, so I peeked ─ it was 3:25 a.m.

I hustled up and readied, and it is possible that I was on my way just ahead of 4 a.m. The sky seemed overcast; otherwise, the eastern sky would have already begun turning from black to a bluish tint with the coming Sun's imminence of dawn.

I wasn't feeling well slept, but I had no alternative but to make this trip. I still have $800 in cash as the remaining portion of their two/fifths share of the taxes, but I didn't care to risk depositing the entire package together.

I got the deposit made without incident; and as I was early into the return trip, I saw again a lass I had noticed earlier who ─ judging by how she appeared at this time to be loitering and attentive of me as I crossed an intersection towards where she was ─ might well have been hooking.

Formerly when I was hale and also not practically destitute, I likely would have coincided with her out of my piqued curiosity; but I dared not socialize in my present state, so I immediately turned left after making the crossing ─ she was maybe 30 feet farther up the sidewalk of the intersecting street.

And that was that. She was hardly going to come chasing after me.

Most of the way home I stopped in at the elementary school playground to test myself with a half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, since I was definitely not going to be having my usual early morning backyard tool shed session.

Initially I made a slight attempt to pull myself up, but my arms were so painfully stiffened that the stress was prohibitive ─ a bad auger. I think then that I took the time to remove my jean jacket and also took off my cap, and gave it a second go.

This time I managed the usual two pull-ups I would normally have gotten done in the tool shed, but I had felt that a third mightn't have been out of my reach.

My sequence at the school playground is always two sets of pull-ups, then two sets of chin-ups, and finally two sets of pull-ups between a pair of stationary rings ─ all with a 30-count break or pause between sets.

In the tool shed, almost always I am limited to a single repetition in each of the five sets following the opening set. But at the school I was able to make two repetitions in all of the subsequent five sets, which was truly a delight for me.

Since all of the equipment was perfectly dry, I then gave a dead hang a shot, and held for an 80-count.

Then over to the nearby metal ramp, I managed to hold out and get 10 slow full-range decline push-ups eked out.

This was the best performance I have had since before I crippled myself on March 1st of last year, so I was feeling some elation.

Before I had left home, I had checked the weather prediction online and it suggested some rain today, so I was not going to take the bother of watering the front yard garden plants ─ even a fast watering can take a half hour, and the past couple of times have exceeded an hour. I wanted to return to bed as soon as possible.

As I was starting up out driveway, I could scarcely believe it when I saw what I assumed was my wife's car parked in the double open carport. She had come home last night after all, I concluded ─ when she disappears late afternoon or early evening on her Wednesdays, she usually does not return until at least Friday afternoon.

Back in the house, I came up to my bedroom and had just begun loosening the lacing of a boot when it dawned upon me to weigh myself to see what sort of poundage I had been working with at the school.

I was quite easily 190 pounds. That I did as well as I did impressed me the more.

Anyway, I think that I was back to bed at something like 5:38 a.m., my cellphone alarm set for 8 a.m. in case I was in danger of sleeping away some morning T.V. time with my brother.

I always have trouble initially sleeping, but I was eventually able. Then a point came when I opted to check the time before seeking another bout of sleep ─ it was something like 7:56 a.m.

No need for the alarm once again.

My brother was to emerge from his bedroom towards 8:30 a.m., but I waited until nigh 9:10 a.m. before joining him. Not much more, and he invited me to commence operation of our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box.

Sure enough ─ I noticed that he had his girlfriend with him, and she must have spent the night here. It then dawned upon me that she drives a car very much resembling my wife's ─ and thus it was the girlfriend's vehicle parked in the carport. My wife was not home after all.

And fairly early into the noon hour I was back to bed for my nap.

Apparently I rested decently because I never needed my usual second mug of strong instant coffee today.

Incidentally, I think that I noticed just before seeking my nap that it might have been very lightly raining outside. Well, early in the afternoon, it came down seriously for a couple or so hours, so no plants needed any watering today, happily. The rain wasn't enough to keep my brother from heading off afoot for a bus to take him social drinking, though.

The rain may not have stopped in the latter afternoon ─ it might still be happening very lightly.

As I type these words at 5 p.m. following a light second and final meal of my day (earlier I spent a half hour exercising in my wife's vacant bedroom), I am apprehensive about my financial plight. I still am short over a couple hundred dollars for the property taxes, so I cannot wait too long before getting some of that $800 in cash that I spoke of earlier into my account.

Aw, I don't want to talk about this ─ it really is disturbing for me. I am going to take a break now from blogging and commence watching here on my bedside computer an episode each of whatever the next three T.V. series are on my list, for I want to do a bit of drinking and 'escape' my bleak life for a while.

Not bad. It was just more satisfying, provided that the villain does not manifest as a threat yet again ─ I despise that ludicrous 𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓉.

At this point I took the 15 or so minutes to brush my teeth, for I correctly anticipated what my next show would be, since it is at the bottom of my list and that was where I had arrived.

For my final show, I emptied out the last of a four-litre box of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol), possibly providing 13 or so ounces of the delicious blend. And I was to watch Ragnarok ─ episode two ("What Happened to the Nice, Old Lady?") of season two.

Exceptional, topping by far the previous two shows I had watched. And it was done by 9:06 p.m.

I would love to introduce this series and that of Friday Night Lights to my brother, but I do not know how to do it without wasting my own time by having to re-watch each episode with him. Since these are shows in which one should either be sober or else very lightly intoxicated to properly appreciate and remember, the only time in which my brother could properly benefit from them would be in the latter morning when he was sober.

Consequently, I have little idea on how he can benefit from these two series as we both now live our lives.

The allure is always there to sit up and watch (and drink) more, but this is my finish line for today. I will start shutting down what needs it on my computer before doing the same to it, but right now it is only 9:38 p.m., so I will expend a little time in amusement first.

This should not be my life at 76 years of age.

I will set my cellphone alarm for 6 a.m. tomorrow, but we shall see how well I happen to sleep overnight. Still, I doubt that I have it in me to make another early hobble to achieve the cash deposit spoken of earlier even if I do waken earlier and feel unexpectedly vitalized.

Raw Deal Bombshell

My cellphone alarm was set for 6 a.m. this morning, but I was awake at least as early as 5:30 a.m., and feeling poorly slept. As well, of late I seem to be doing considerable sweating overnight, and this time there was a stretch of wet across my pillow at least six inches long and three or four inches wide. I do drool, but this was more like a cup of water had been spilled.

Could it have been from the back of my neck and shaven head?

I didn't feel like rising, so I remained in bed, but around 5:50 a.m. I just chose to start my morning.

My younger brother had not placed the two wheelie bins (compost and recycling) curbside for today's pickup, so I took care of that. My wife's car was here; once again, I had not heard here arrive home last night after her full day of work at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

I had gone to bed after 11 p.m., but could it have been 11:30 p.m. or more? I cannot remember.

My brother had said last evening that he would drop off the cheque at City Hall for our property taxes today, so I wrote it out for $4,447.74. He was to leave me his own cheque for $979.10, plus a further $800 in cash. That's two/fifths of the tax bill covering him and Bev. I am covering two/fifths for my wife and myself; and my youngest stepson handles the remaining fifth.

I'll have to get my brother's cheque deposited early tomorrow because I do not have enough money in my account to cover the tax payment. Then I will have to get the cash deposited before our next fortnightly mortgage payment is to be debited on the 9th. But it is going to be excruciating coming up with enough money for the mortgage payment scheduled for the 23rd.

How am I to both shop for groceries and keep myself stocked with beer and wine ─ plus make two credit card payments? I cannot, I don't think.

Anyway, I was to have my usual backyard tool shed exercise session a little later in the morning, first managing the 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before going outside. It takes about 15 minutes in the shed, and I was back in the house maybe a couple of minutes past 8 a.m.

Not too much later my younger brother emerged from his bedroom to watch morning T.V. news and drink instant coffee. I waited until around 9 a.m. before joining him.

Ten or 15 minutes later, he turned the T.V. over to me so that I could commence operation of our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box, starting us off with a five-minute (5:05) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's Shadoe Davis channel: The Divisive Nonsense Needs to Stop....NOW!

This clip illustrates a problem we’re seeing far too often: people becoming so absorbed in personal disputes that they lose sight of the larger purpose. Anita's rant against Candace Owens towards the end of the video quite annoyed me, for I like Candace and feel that she researches deeply, whereas Anita herself just reacts to so many events without digging into them.

I then tuned in Reacher ─ that season one finale episode ("Pie") I yesterday said we would likely watch today. Pretty darned exciting and gratifying ─ it always is when evil people come to an end.

We finished up with another portion of a very long (over 2¾ hours) documentary that we have been chipping away at, but there is still over an hour of it remaining ─ we again suspended watching so that my brother could return to his bedroom for further bed rest.

I didn't notice if it was after noon itself when I was back to bed for a nap, but I know I was there for well over two hours. Yet I rose feeling almost dreadful, and was glad that I only had one strong coffee early this morning ─ I was free to have my usual second at this point, for I badly needed the help.

The quite heavily overcast morning slowly improved if sunshine is what was wanted, but it seems we may not be back to a fully sunny day until Saturday. I am losing my colour, for it has been at least a week since last I sunned.

My wife did not have to work today, and emerged from her bedroom for the day shortly past 2 p.m. However, despite me sitting here at my bedside computer with my back towards my open bedroom doorway, she never spake a word to me until shortly past 4 p.m. when she called up from the kitchen to ask if I wanted to eat?

That was my opportunity to go downstairs and gently caution her to leave our joint chequing account alone, for that is where I will be having to put the money for the property taxes. She assured convincingly that I had no cause for concern.

I had that sustaining light meal a little past 5 p.m., and now I am awaiting her typical departure to disappear until probably Friday afternoon, for she normally has tomorrow off work as well and has better things to do with her life and time than to spend her days off here at home.

I am going to take my blogging break now at 5:53 p.m. As soon as my life leaves us, as I am certain she will, I will tune in here on my bedside computer an episode of whatever is the next T.V. series on my list and do a little drinking.

My wife apparently left just ahead of 6:30 p.m., saying nothing to me.

Well, after having watched something like the first 19 episodes of the first season of Madam Secretary, I gave up the series and tuned in what is planned to be my last time spent with it ─ episode 18 ("Good Bones") of season three.

Sure, the episodes have always been interesting, but they are just too mundane ─ propaganda for how 'the Establishment' is, and pressing home how futile it is to make or expect great change in the way things are. The series was far, far too long for me to care to spend so much more time with it.

The reason I watched this final later episode was because it featured actress Julia Schlaepfer portraying a young actress whom a dictator in a foreign nation was a big fan of. I became a fan of hers in her role as the fiery, irrepressible British noblewoman Alexandra who gave up everything ─ including her life ─ to be the wife of the last remaining Dutton brother in the T.V. series 1923.

My brother was home little later from wherever he had bused in the early afternoon to social drink.

My next show was Justified ─ episode seven ("Raw Deal") of season five. This is another series I am not watching in full, despite how good it is. Years back when it was current, I used to watch it in 'hit and miss' fashion, but no longer know where I stopped nor what episodes I missed.

So in the present, I am only watching the 10 episodes in which sexy Alicia Witt appeared. Alicia could almost be the twin of a young woman I was addicted to in the late 1970s and early 1980s whom I still feel biologically drawn to when I remember her.

The episode ─ and another beer ─ were done by 8:33 p.m. My source had been at Watch-TVSeries.net.

When the episode was done, I took a break to brush my teeth ─ pretty much a 15-minute chore for which I generally recline on my bed for comfort's sake, since it's too challenging brushing that long while standing. It can be hard on the neck as well.

I was not in the least pleased to see that my final show was going to be Smash ─ the season one finale episode 15 ("Bombshell"). As much as I am able to enjoy the two main actresses vying for the lead role of Marilyn Monroe, as well as the other dramas going on, it is relatively pedestrian fare and not how I want my evening's entertainment to finish.

Nevertheless, I went ahead and poured myself a dozen or so ounces of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) into a glass tumbler and got on with the show.

So there things are. I never felt enough emotion to tear up, even though I slightly did at the conclusion of the Madam Secretary episode. But I appreciate music, and the series powerfully presents what it must be like behind the scenes of big theatrical productions ─ musicals, especially.

There was nothing in me that had any desire to go to bed at that point in my evening.

If I am to get out and make the deposit of my brother's cheque at my financial institution's nearest ATM, I must rise no later than 4 a.m. and waste no time in readying and leaving on the two-mile round trip hobble, for even by then the sky will have begun lightening in the east, and it will be daylit by the time I have gotten back home.

Yet again, I do not recall hearing my wife come home last night after her full day working at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

My cellphone alarm was set for 5:30 a.m. so that I would have plenty of time to water the front yard garden areas. I surely must have begun the job by 5:45 a.m., but I could scarce believe when I came back into the house that it was 7:10 a.m.

Having to use such a fine, light spray for so many areas due to fragile plants consumes so damned much time.

By the time I had finished my mug of instant coffee that washed down an aspirin, I could hear my brother stirring in his bedroom, so I had to hustle myself out to the backyard where first I performed my 10 slow full-range push-ups on a cement walk out of sight of anyone, then I went to the tool shed for my usual 15 minutes of exercises ─ it was already 8 a.m. when I got in there.

Back in the house my brother was indeed already watching his T.V. news shows, but I came back upstairs to my bedside computer where I waited until just past 9 a.m. before going back downstairs to load up my day's first meal, and then I joined him and ate while watching T.V. with him.

He was quick to have me put our R96 Plus Android 14 TV Box to work, so I got it going and tuned in a 15-minute video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's Moose on the Loose channel: Canada's Top Investigative Reporter Just Blew This Wide Open.

My wife emerged from her bedroom around 9:40 a.m. during this video, and got busy with her shower and whatever else she does in readying for a full workday, and by 10:05 a.m. or soon after had me help her tote some things out to her car as she was about to leave on her rather long drive under a heavily overcast sky.

She identified that a certain glass casserole dish in the fridge contained something she had prepared last night, knowing I mightn't otherwise touch it for concern that it might be fare Bev had prepared for my brother last evening and was now left over.

The third and final item my brother and I were to watch was Reacher ─ episode seven ("Reacher Said Nothing") of the first season. Since this episode ended as a cliffhanger and the season only has one further episode, we will probably watch that final episode tomorrow rather than wait a few weeks and forget almost everything we've seen.

My brother returned to his bedroom for further bed rest, and I was to bed for a nap at noon. Then just as I was nearly fast asleep at 12:28 p.m., my damned cellphone started ringing, getting me up to see the number in case it was my wife.

But I recognized the number as being that of Sandy, the ladyfriend of my late old friend, William A.G. She lives to talk on her phone, whereas I hate getting tied up with such a waste of my time because I have so little to spare practically every day. In fact, it is a rare day when I feel I have a half hour on my hands.

Unfortunately, I needed my nap, so I returned to bed and struggled to find sleep. Eventually I sort of became semi-conscious, and when I finally peeked at the time before seeking a position change, I was alarmed to see that it was 1:20 p.m. ─ I had no further time to spend in bed.

Only Bev was home, as it turned out. My brother was out on some errand or other, apparently, for he returned shortly after 2 p.m. and then a little later left afoot to catch a bus and go social drinking somewhere.

This is a bath day for me, so I have no time for the usual half hour of light exercising when my wife's bedroom is available (mine is too small and full of lots of 'stuff' piled about). It is only 3:30 p.m. at present, but I am going to break from blogging and have that bath. After that I will need to check the backyard garden plants to see if they require watering, although I think that this largely cloudy weather is delaying the drying out of soil.

Once whatever necessary watering is done, I will then put together my day's second and final meal ─ a light one. Then after eating it, the time will have arrived to begin watching an episode each of the next three T.V. shows on my list so that I can indulge with a few drinks.

My computer is my 'T.V.' because Bev occupies ours from the time she rises in the early afternoon until she finally goes to bed for the night.

The latter afternoon was sufficiently sunny that, had it been midday, I might have possibly attempted some early afternoon sunning. But the latter afternoon is useless to me for that sort of thing, especially when it's a bath day.

With a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) to start off with, I turned in Misfits ─ the premiere episode of the first season or series. Since the episode was available as of last September 30 (2025) as an upload to YouTube's Red Devil TV and Red Devil Movies channels ─ Misfits S1 E1 – Storm Born (Full Episode HD) ─ that was to be my source.

Back before COVID when my brother and I first had an Android TV Box, we began watching the series. I remembered it vaguely, but about all I could recall were the orange jumpsuits the young offenders worse. Consequently, this episode was essentially brand new.

I was drinking lots in the evening back then.

I enjoyed this! I am looking forward to continuing into the series. This episode was done by 7:03 p.m.

My second beer was well sacrificed, for this will undoubtedly be the best show of my evening. I am speaking of The 100 ─ episode 11 ("Etherea") of season seven. This episode was powerful! It's a shame that it ignored the true God for some fake futuristic charlatan.

I had thought that maybe my brother was arriving back home just before I began The 100. At its conclusion I took the time to brush my teeth, and when returning to my bedroom from the bathroom I saw him downstairs passed out in his chair in the living room, so maybe I was earlier correct.

Unfortunately, although my final show was plenty exciting, the whole production was too pathetically contrived for my liking. I rate the episode the definite loser among the three I watched, well behind Misfits.

I had poured maybe a dozen ounces of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) to help enjoy Van Helsing ─ the fourth season finale episode 13 ("The Beholder"). My source was at GOOJARA.to.

Certainly the episode was almost gripping, but it was too elementary. I could almost anticipate every twist. What affected me most, though, was how viscerally / sexually I know I can be seduced to a frightening degree by a 'hot' female ... or a semblance of what appears to be a 'hot' female.

I am a walking prime victim to 'honeypots', and I fully understand this. Why are some of us so hopelessly weak?

However, I have no intention of getting into that.

At least the episode made starkly clear why people must not be subservient to other people ─ even so-called 'leaders'. I don't know enough about what the Bible might have to say about blindly obeying another human being perceived to be a leader or ruler, but I sure doubt that it expects blind obedience ─ "I was only obeying orders" must never be acceptable as justification for one's wrongdoing.

Or maybe in Biblical times people were just far more 'elementary' in their thinking than many of us today are? Even the Bible may not have perceived that some people can simply recognize what is abominable and will not participate in it, due to the hours and hours of reflection that movies and T.V. shows can actually bestow to those who resonate through vicariously witnessing selfless heroics.

We do not all respond evilly or in kind to violence in film. Some of us feel steeled to be warriors against what we witness ─ not voracious participants.

Anyway, the episode was over by 9:58 p.m.

I'm kind of wired right now at 10:35 p.m. from the tolerable alcohol and would love to watch something further, but I am just going to slowly finish up everything I have open on this computer and close things down.

I have no early a.m. plans ─ 6 a.m. will suffice.

My wife has Wednesdays off work normally, but it is the Canada Day national holiday. Possibly she may be offered a full day, or at least a partial. Whatever the case, she has not yet come home.

After my wife got home in the latter evening yesterday following her full day of work at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, since she was making no overtures to communicate with me as I sat here at my bedside computer, I finally just shut my door and went to bed.

My cellphone alarm was set for 6 a.m., and it was indeed my call to get up this morning. Due to the current weather that is resulting in lots of clouds, I felt that it was unnecessary to do any morning watering of any of the front yard garden areas.

Around 7:40 a.m. I had the usual 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before heading out into the backyard and then the tool shed for the usual 15 minutes of exercise there. Nothing but the usual: a mere two pull-ups in the first set of pull-ups, and then a single repetition in each of the following five sets of pull-ups and chin-ups; and I held the dead hang of the final pull-up between a pair of bars for the usual 45-count.

Then I got at the usual squat work to seek to strengthen my crippled knee and quadriceps.

Back in the house I fixed up a banal first meal of my day and brought that upstairs here to my computer to eat.

Then a little past 9 a.m., since my younger brother had failed to emerge yet from his bedroom, I assumed control of the T.V. downstairs just before he did appear, using our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box to set up an 11-minute (11:38) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Watch CTV Anchor Gush Over Hunter Biden!

The day was such a mix of blue sky and huge, slowly drifting clouds that I had no inclination to be wasting time attempting to sun.

My wife had another full workday today, so she emerged from her bedroom around 9:20 a.m. to get herself ready for the day, and was away around 10:05 a.m. on her fairly long drive.

With her bedroom vacant this afternoon, around 2:10 p.m. I started a half hour light exercise session there. My brother had taken Bev out for whatever reason, and they did not return until 3:05 p.m. And 10 minutes later he left on foot to catch a bus to go social drinking.

Speaking of which, it is now 5:16 p.m. and I have eaten my second and final meal of the day, so I am going to take a blogging break and do a little drinking of my own while watching an episode each of whatever are the next three T.V. series on my list. Naturally, I shall be doing so here on my bedside computer.

I wasn't fussy about this episode. I despise dæmonic presences and would love to have a monstrous slab of rock drop from out of nowhere and obliterate that little fake-boy.

A second beer accompanied Necessary Roughness ─ episode five ("Poker Face") of the first season. I found myself having to use uFLIX.to, known to impose unwanted advertisement websites that open up and hijack you to other tabs. This time it only happened once, I believe, but I still resent it.

The episode was good ─ the stories are always interesting. And it was over by 7:21 p.m.

For my final show, I poured a dozen or so ounces of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) into a glass tumbler, and tuned in Legacies ─ episode 12 ("Kai Parker Screwed Us) of season two. For the second time this evening, my source was at uFLIX.to.

Like the other two episodes, this one was also deeply interesting and entertaining. But not one of them touched me emotionally ─ basically, they were meaningless, so I cannot rate one above any of the others. In honestly, they were quite flat apart from some shock value in Stargirl and Legacies. Shock value is fun, but I need to have my heart touched.

The episode was done at 8:51 p.m., and I heard my brother come through the front door about three minutes later to brighten Bev's remaining evening.

And still the damned South Asian kids ─ pre-school and earliest elementary ─ are carousing around the cul-de-sac shrieking, screaming, and roaring with no restraint from any of their parents or grandparents about anyone else living here. The cul-de-sac is their playground.

This is the only thing I truly hate about Summer ─ the good weather and long days that keep these atrocious little undisciplined monsters outdoors long into the evening. At least the recently passed Summer solstice marked the longest daylight hours of the year, and now supposedly days will commence to become imperceptibly shorter until finally it is noticed in late Summer.

I am a prisoner in my own heavily mortgaged home, with only this bit of evening fiction and slight drunkenness for my relief because I cannot even walk far any longer and thus night excursions have been taken from me.

I don't want to live like this. How could I possibly want to spend Eternity with the Being who brought or allowed me to come to this? I begged and prayed, but it was useless. All my life. I am nothing but an impotent 76-year-old failure.

It is 9:22 p.m., so I am going to publish this and soon start shutting things down on this machine. Already my brother and Bev are fighting, and she has just gone to their bedroom ─ to use the en suite toilet or to be free of him and go to bed, I do not know.

What a sorry life I end my final days with.

Although I rose at 5 a.m., I never went anywhere. My lack of financial confidence kept me from making the mile-long round trip hobble to do any grocery shopping because I know that I am going to be likely spending over $140 when next I go to the liquor store with my younger brother when he makes a beer run ─ he has six or seven cans in his supply, but I thought there would be a chance he would be going this afternoon.

However, I never fully decided against the grocery shopping until at least 7:30 a.m. (the store opens at 8 a.m.).

At least with all that earlier time on my hands I did do a little front yard garden watering, despite a fairly clouded sky ─ half of the watering that I would have normally done, for my wife apparently gave the other half a good drenching last night after she got home.

I don't know when that was, for I do not recall hearing her arrive home after I had gone to bed.

Because I had thought I would be making the hobble, I only engaged the half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups out in the backyard tool shed, forsaking the squat work I am using to strengthen my crippled right knee and quadriceps. Of course, I put in the 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before going out to the backyard.

My brother was not to emerge from his bedroom this morning until 9:10 - 9:15 a.m., by which time I had assumed control of the T.V. and was all set to commence play via our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box of an 18-minute video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's Moose on the Loose channel: Globe and Mail Drops Damning Report on Carney.

When that was done, I tuned in a controversial movie apparently released just this month and already supposedly banned in Germany: Citizen Vigilante. I won't give away any of the movie, apart from stating that the vigilante character lacked morals. And even though he killed a lot of people throughout the short (under 1½ hours) movie, I had no real qualms about any of the deaths except for whoever happened to be in a car out in the country, if indeed anyone in the car did die when it was forced to leave the road due to an impromptu game of chicken by our vigilante that I found inexplicable and inexcusable ─ what if one or more kids were in the car?

My brother was complaining after the first hour that the movie was poorly produced; and when it was done, he claimed that it didn't even deserve a B-movie rating. I am considerably more forgiving.

I was expecting the main character to get killed off near the end because, as I said, he was not a likeable guy. So was he killed off? I will not say.

We finished up by watching another 10 minutes or so of a documentary we started maybe four days ago, but never got back to until this morning. We quit it again today so my brother could return to his bedroom for further bed rest because he wanted to watch ─ at noon ─ the scheduled FIFA match between Canada and South Africa (Canada was to win 1-0).

He had indicated that he was not planning on a drive to the liquor store two miles away until at least tomorrow, so I felt conscience-free to have a nap. But I wondered how I would be spending the later part of my day when I normally watch an episode each of the next three T.V. series on my list. Possibly I had sufficient Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) remaining in my four-litre box; and I do have nearly half a bottle of hard liquor as well. But if my brother did not make the trip tomorrow either, I would be getting into quite a fix where tomorrow evening was concerned.

I was probably in bed a bit over an hour, at least ─ so maybe even more. My brother was watching the game. Then at halftime he reported that when the game was over, he was going to have to pay a visit to the liquor store because Bev was too low on her white wine.

So I was getting to stock up after all ─ quite a relief, especially since I felt like I had skipped grocery-shopping for nothing.

We left very shortly after 2 p.m., and now I have a new four-litre box of red wine and two dozen cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) ─ plus a 750-ml bottle each of Bell's Original Blended Scotch Whisky and Dewar's White Label Blended Scotch Whisky (the Scotch are for my brother's upcoming birthday in July and not quite 10 days away).

The full bill? A painful $148.09.

The day, by the way, has been a mix of mostly cloud and a fair amount of blue sky with sunshine.

My wife had a full workday today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, so she emerged from her bedroom around 9:45 a.m. to shower and otherwise ready, and was away on her rather long drive by 10:05 a.m. or so.

I never heard her say anything to my brother and I when she left, but she did venture a "Good morning" as she first came down the stairs to the kitchen.

With her away, I had no excuse for not exercising in her vacant bedroom this afternoon, although I did not commence the half hour until just about 4 p.m. I've been experiencing a vague headache this afternoon, and I rather hoped that the activity would drive some essential circulation throughout my skull and thus resolve the issue, but it is still with me.

I am going to take my blogging break here now at 4:52 p.m. and fetch me my day's second and final meal, then after that is eaten I will start watching my shows and do a little drinking.

Oh! ─ I forgot that I should check the backyard garden plants and see what watering may be necessary there. I will do that ere collecting my meal.

I still can't tell where this is leading, but the journey is engrossing. However, this evening's Cloak & Dagger trip was done by 6:41 p.m.

My second and final beer this evening was devoted to Superman & Lois ─ episode 12 ("Injustice") of season three. Again, my source was at GOOJARA.to.

The entire tornado scene in this episode was fabulous; and I have to admit that their Luther is about as criminally evil as one would expect of the worst in the prison system. He is too menacing to be allowed to live ─ no one that wantonly cruel should be allowed among other people.

There are people who truly do not deserve to be living ─ not among other people. Death is preferable.

The episode was done by 7:56 p.m., and a few minutes later I was to hear my brother and Bev in muted conversation downstairs, so he was at some point back from wherever he had left in the late early afternoon to bus and go social drinking.

Here I took a break to brush my teeth.

Then my third and final show was the best of the lot, and the only one to bring burning to my eyes from the emotion it generated.

I had poured a dozen or so ounces of red wine and then tuned in The Expanse ─ episode 12 ("The Monster and the Rocket") of season two. My source this time was at TVSeries.video.

The Wikipedia write-up for the episode says, "The protomolecule monster is shown to have stowed away aboard the Rocinante." Well, if such was shown, I sure as hell never noticed it, so I am dubious that the statement is accurate.

The episode was done by 9:31 p.m.

At this point I cannot rate whether I enjoyed Cloak & Dagger more than I did Superman & Lois ─ the latter was impaired by how loathsome I found the Luther character to be. This considerably detracted the episode in terms of my appreciation. Maybe I will just call the two a distant second to The Expanse.

Anyway, I killed some time watching random YouTube videos, and then my wife arrived home at 10:38 p.m. She is showering now, I think, but she had nothing to say to me (deeply involved in my YouTube, perhaps).

Right now it is 10:53 p.m., so I am going to start shutting things down and get to bed. I'll rise at 6 a.m. tomorrow.

I had my cellphone alarm set for 8 a.m. just in case I might somehow oversleep this morning, but I had no plans to rise early. Still, at one point in the morning I was awake enough to be curious about the time, and it may not yet have been quite 6:30 a.m.

I tried for more sleep, and it seems to me that I might have had a dream, but I realized a little after 7 a.m. that I was no longer succeeding in reining in my mental activity and awareness, so I rose ahead of 7:30 a.m.

When I came downstairs, the blue sky seemed everywhere ─ east and west. Where were all of yesterday's clouds?

We did get quite a lot of sunshine today, but the clouds were perhaps even more plentiful. I wasn't keen on having a sunny day, for I didn't much feel up to any sunning.

I had not heard my wife come home last night ─ not that I can remember, anyway. She didn't have to work today until the latter afternoon at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

My younger brother never emerged from his bedroom until nearly 9:30 a.m., by which time I was in control of the T.V. and using our R69 Android 14 TV Box to tune in and watch an 18-minute (18:12) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's Moose on the Loose channel: You Won't Believe What Carney Just Blew Our Money On + More CBC Attacks on Poilievre.

He got to watch most of it.

And then we finished the last 1½ or so hours of the video we had to abandon yesterday morning. At almost four hours (3:54:58), it had been uploaded two days ago to YouTube's Shawn Ryan Show: Brian Keating - The Alien Disclosure Nothingburger | SRS #316.

We were both glad that we had decided to finish watching the interview.

And that was it. My brother returned to his bedroom for further bed rest. At this point my wife had emerged from her bedroom some while earlier and was busy in the kitchen. My caffeine and nourishment abstention were both weighing me down with feebleness and fogginess, so by noon I was back in bed to try and escape the deprivation.

I can't recall how long I was down ─ definitely under 1½ hours, and likely nearer an hour. To my surprise, my wife was readying to leave for the day. She asked that I see to the drying of some laundry of hers, and she directed me to a dish she had cooked that she said I could have.

I am not planning on eating until after 6 p.m., so I will indulge in it when I do.

I could have exercised in her vacant bedroom, but I'm just too damned listless and weak. A little past 4 p.m. I stripped naked for a weigh-in on our analogue bathroom scales. In three tries I ranged from 180 to 181 pounds.

That's good for me! I just wish that I had exercised today.

Even though I will not have my day's only meal until after 6 p.m., I am going to get a jump on calorie intake by doing a little drinking now as I take a blogging break and start watching an episode each of the next three videos on my list of personal entertainment here on my bedside computer, for of course Bev has the living room T.V. tied up as she does every day until she finally goes to bed at night.

The one had what Vegas did not ─ surfacing of my emotions. Vegas was entertaining and interesting in its own realistic realm, but The Gifted goes to where a 'normal' drama in not easily able to.

The show was done by 7:44 p.m., and not a minute thereafter my brother arrived home from wherever he had bused away to before mid-afternoon to social drink.

First I will need to assess how much beer remains in my brother's supply, and the likelihood of him making a beer run tomorrow afternoon.

I had best wrap things up and get to bed, even though right now it is only 9:52 p.m.

For a change, I slept rather decently last night. Still, when my 6 a.m. cellphone alarm summoned me to rise, I still only felt like remaining in my bed. I cannot now clearly recall if I managed getting to bed ahead of 11 p.m. last evening, but surely it was around that time?

At rising this morning, I realized that it was lightly raining outside. Despite my open bedroom window, I had not hear the rain until I was out of bed. So ... no garden watering by me was necessary.

But I still needed to be up to have time to normalize and have the backyard tool shed exercise session. It was around 7:45 a.m. when I first put in the 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before I ventured out into the backyard to take a brief look at the various garden plants before going to the shed where I was to have the usual 15-minute exercise session.

In other words, using the child's metal ladder to an old slide ─ the ladder is stretched across roof rafters and can only be reached by standing on a chair or else a stepladder leaning nearby against a wall ─ I have to do pull-ups and chin-ups while hanging from the ladder's rather thick sides. By "thick", I am referring to their diameter or circumference that makes them too thick to wrap one's hands around to gain an ideal grip. Mostly one's hands 'cup' over the sides, while the thumbs might extend alongside the metal as some added stabilization.

I would absolutely love to have a proper chin-up bar set up for pull-ups and chin-ups, but I do not.

And now at the broken-down age of 76, with hands that ache all about the main thumb joints, my "usual" is an opening set of two pull-ups; and then with a 30-count between so-called sets, I manage a single repetition in each of the five remaining sets.

The final pair of those remaining sets involves pull-ups in between the ladder's two sides as opposed from just working with one side, and the very last pull-up's dead hang is held for a 45-count.

Then I tackle some squat work to strengthen my crippled right knee and quadriceps. I'll save that description for another time.

I got back into the house to discover that my younger brother was already downstairs to watch T.V. news shows and have instant coffee. It was only a very few minutes past 8 a.m.

I fixed up my day's first meal and brought that upstairs here to my bedside computer where I ate most of it. Then just past 9 a.m. I returned downstairs and joined by brother, who actually surprised me by relinquishing control of the T.V. not later than 9:10 a.m., inviting me to commence operation of our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box.

We were to only watch one video due to its length. At nearly four hours (3:54:58), it had been uploaded yesterday to YouTube's Shawn Ryan Show: Brian Keating - The Alien Disclosure Nothingburger | SRS #316.

I forget how much of the video remained when my brother finally voiced that he wanted to return to his bedroom for further bed rest ─ an hour and 25 minutes? An hour and 40 minutes?

Somewhere in its middle Brian Keating mentioned the current date as being something like May 22, so clearly Shawn sits on these videos some while before releasing them.

I will likely ask my brother tomorrow if he wants to continue with the video. It was very interesting, but seemed to me to be mostly speculative by the time we parted from it, and well above my understanding.

After my brother returned to his bedroom, I finished up that earlier meal, and I believe that I was back to bed for my nap by 12:08 p.m. And though I did nap, I was back up an hour later.

My wife meantime had come home, but she must have just gone out again. She normally has to work the latter part of her Fridays, starting at either 4 or 4:30 p.m. (the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time closes mid-afternoons).

But she never returned as I type these words at 3:11 p.m. Had I known she was remaining away, I could have had an afternoon exercise session in her vacant bedroom. This is a bath day for me, so I will wait until 4 p.m. before taking occupation of the bathroom just in case my wife does yet pop in here before continuing on to work ─ I don't want to be tying up the bathroom if she has need of it.

As for the weather, it was raining hard midday. When I rose from my nap, I realized that it was quite severe out there. At present, though, the rain is so slight that it likely could not get anyone wet ─ not enough to be of any concern, at any rate.

I might as well break from blogging. After my bath, I will check downstairs and see if by chance my wife brought home anything that requires eating. If she did not, then I will gather up a very light meal to eat; and after that chore is done, I will commence watching my usual three T.V. shows ─ whatever are next on my list ─ while enjoying some drinking.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a coffee-free day, as well as sustenance-free until after 6 p.m. Last Saturday I found myself unusually suffering for the deprivation, so I hope that sort of thing is not in store for me again.

I should also mention that my monthly pension income did get direct deposited today, so early this morning I transferred it out of my joint account with my wife and safely placed it into my private account.

The slight rain stopped soon after I wrote the above ... and then all the bloody undisciplined and noisy very young South Asian kids filled the cul-de-sac with their bellowing, screeching, and bawling because some of them apparently are facing death with every little issue ─ over and over again, until they get the coddling they crave from permissive parents and/or grandparents instead of the kicks in the 𝒶𝓈𝓈ℯ𝓈 that is all they merit.

While enjoying a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol), I tuned in the always-good The Guardian ─ episode 22 ("Sensitive Jackals") of season two. My source was at M4uFree.cx.

What a depressing show this can be, good though it is! I don't see how Nick Fallin keeps on when he has days like this.

It was over by 7:26 p.m.

Discovering that Black Mirror was next on my list filled me with considerable misgivings. Some of these episodes are T.V. movie length, and they can be such damned downers.

But this one was season seven's episode five ("Eulogy") ─ and it was nearly exceptionally good. As I watched, I reflected back on two rather key relationships in my past that would have been life-changing if only I had been far more confident about myself and my ability to fit into society. Both of those young women haunt my thoughts to this day, even though the earliest of them relates to the 1970s when I was in my 20s.

There were of course other possibilities that I never pursued, either ─ I sentenced myself to being a failure in almost every way where fitting into society was concerned.

I watched the episode at TVSeries.video, and it was done by 8:43 p.m., as was a second can of beer.

At that point I took a break to brush my teeth.

My final show was enjoyed with maybe a dozen ounces of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) as I watched Psych ─ episode eight ("Shawn 2.0") of season five. My source was again at TVSeries.video.

Had I actually enjoyed this abysmally stupid series, this would have been episode six of the first season. But I despised its nonsense after watching the first five episodes and could brook no more of it.

The only reason I sampled it was because actress Katie Findlay had an early acting role in the series, and I was drawn to her in her semi-regular role in the T.V. series The Carrie Diaries. As it was to happen, Katie only appeared in one episode of Psych, and it was a bit role anyway ─ she appeared as a behind-the-counter server in some sort of possible fast food joint.

No damned way I was going to commit to scores and scores of episodes of this fool series just because I wanted to see Katie in one episode, so I bit the bullet and tuned it in to be done with that mess.

Believe me, this is a massive relief ─ I was feeling shackled having to keep enduring these banal episodes as the series rotation showed up in my list. And now I am done, thanks to this severing shortcut.

Katie Findlay next had a role in a single episode of the T.V. series Endgame, so I will give that one a shot from its commencement ─ at least it was only a single season, and was not intended to be a 'joke' series.

Sure, this episode of Psych was tolerable, but still irritating ─ I just don't like the lead character. It was over by 10:14 p.m.

I heard thereafter my brother talking with Bev as they watched T.V. downstairs, so he had gotten back at some point from wherever he had bused extra early to social drink ─ he was gone by the time my nap was done right after 1 p.m.

Maybe it's best that I start wrapping up my evening and get to bed. Actually, since I won't be having coffee tomorrow, maybe I will just not bother rising at 6 a.m. to normalize enough for my usual backyard tool shed exercise session. Nor is there a need to be doing any garden watering ─ maybe there will be further rain showers, for all I know.

Early Days of Summer

Last night seemed to be my most heat-suffering yet this year, I slept so illy. Toward the end, I was pretty much just laying there awaiting the sounding of my 5:30 a.m. cellphone alarm to get me up early to water front yard garden areas where my wife yesterday planted numerous young plants

Some were so badly wilted that I cannot imagine them recovering, but I do wish them the best with the drenching their roots would have gotten from my efforts.

The sky was hazed over, if not actually clouded. And it was cool to such a degree that it seemed incongruous for my bedroom to have been as sweltering as it was when I had my bedroom window open about a foot ─ it's a sliding window, so the foot-wide opening extends upwards by over a yard, and the entirety of that opening was unobscured by a curtain.

I only have a tiny bedroom ─ how is it that the heat was retained so effectively?

Anyway, even though I only watered half the area I would normally have watered, it was still 6:30 a.m. once I was back into the house; and the water for my mug of instant coffee had slow-boiled and was ready to use.

That strong coffee was used to wash down an aspirin, of course, as I passed time here at my bedside computer.

At 7:30 a.m. I returned downstairs and tackled 10 slow full-range push-ups before proceeding out to the backyard and then the tool shed for my usual 15 minutes of exercising. That is, an opening set of just two pull-ups, followed by five further sets of pull-ups and chin-ups featuring just one repetition in each set, but the final pull-up's dead hang between a pair of bars was held for a 45-count.

Then I dealt with the squat work to strengthen my damaged right knee and quadriceps.

Back in the house I put together my day's first meal to eat here at my bedside computer.

My younger brother emerged from his bedroom soon past 8 a.m. to watch his T.V. news shows and have coffee, but I waited until just before 9 a.m. before joining him.

Even so, it was nearly 9:20 a.m. before he invited me to start operation of our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box, at which point I tuned in a 12-minute (12:56) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Carney Always Forgets the Internet Exists.

We were only to watch the first half or so because Anita then seemed to just include footage from her previous video that she had livestreamed, so it seemed senseless to waste time re-watching it.

That last one was nearly an hour wasted on me ─ I didn't understand a damned thing these guys were talking about. I kept waiting for my brother to voice his disinterest, but he said nothing, so we sat through it all.

After it was done, I switched over to our T95Q Android 9 TV Box to access the USB drive inserted into it, and in this our third sitting we finished watching the 2011 movie Albatross.

The first time we started watching it, I knew that the actress (Jessica Brown Findlay) portraying sexually provocative 17-year-old Emelia was familiar to me, but I just could not place the T.V. series I knew her from ─ I thought that it might be something science fictional or maybe a 'superhero' series. But it was Harlots. In fact, it was because of that role and my interest in this unusually gorgeous actress that I located a source and had downloaded the movie, but I'd forgotten that.

I probably had to use a torrent file to get the movie downloaded, but to just watch it online, you could try RidoMovies.is.

The movie was done no later than 11:20 a.m., I would say; but my brother announced that he was returning to his bedroom for further bed rest because he planned on mowing the lawns now that we were experiencing milder temperatures.

I might have made it into bed barely ahead of noon, but I was up again before 1 p.m. My brother was indeed busy with the lawn mower ─ the sound was unmistakable. But apparently he had even made the four-mile round trip drive to replenish his beer supply, so he must not have gotten much bed rest.

And I guess before it was yet 2:30 p.m. he left afoot to catch a bus and go social drinking.

Today was mortgage day, and the fortnightly debit from my credit union account has left me with likely only around $125 to my name. Fortunately my monthly pension should get direct deposited tomorrow, but I am in a scary fix with property taxes due July 2nd.

I don't want to talk about it, so I shall not.

Towards 2:30 p.m. I availed myself of my wife's vacant bedroom and had a half hour of light exercising there.

Right now it is 4:35 p.m. and I am ready to take my blogging break to have my day's second and final meal, and then I will start watching the first of two or possibly three T.V. shows here on my bedside computer while doing a little drinking.

I will have to ensure that I go with my brother the next time he undertakes a 'beer run', for I am down to my final half dozen cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol). I probably have at least half of the four-litre box of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) remaining, but I will need to get more wine as well.

And my brother has his birthday on July 9 ─ we typically exchange a bottle of booze (he likes Scotch), so I will have to spend on that as well.

How can I make it through July to my next pension payment?

I started off with about a dozen ounces of the wine in a glass tumbler, and tuned in the awesome Friday Night Lights ─ season two's premiere episode ("Last Days of Summer"). My source was at M4uFree.cx.

Despite my nagging and unsettling financial worries, I got decently into the episode. The Wikipedia episode description was too soft where describing the death scene, however:

As Landry goes inside, the man approaches Tyra at the parking lot. He tries to force himself onto her, until Landry arrives and pushes him aside. The man starts walking away, claiming he will return. Landry then picks up a nearby pipe and brutally hits the man in the head twice, knocking him unconscious.

The attacker was violently forcing himself onto Tyra, but there was more involved when Landry intervened than Landry merely pushing the guy aside, and then the attacker walking away threatening a return confrontation with Tyra.

When Landry interceded, he got decked for his interference. Being a teen, he likely never got slugged by a rugged adult before. No doubt feeling relatively powerless at being able to protect Tyra, he grabbed the pipe (if that's what it was) and smote the guy on the back of the head as the guy was heading back to his car.

But the guy was only stunned and never fell to the ground, so Landry hit him a second time in his anger and panic.

It was perfectly believable.

Now, this could cement the relationship between Landry and Tyra; or it is going to destroy even their budding friendship.

Whatever the case, the episode was done by 6:17 p.m.

A can of beer accompanied me through my next show, Sight Unseen ─ episode seven ("Papa Don't Preach") of season two. And again, my source was at M4uFree.cx.

Sure, the show was diverting enough, but nowhere near Friday Night Lights.

And it was over by 7:40 p.m.

I chose next to spend the 15 or so minutes to brush my teeth before watching my third show.

With my second and final beer of the evening to hand, I somewhat reluctantly tuned in The Handmaid's Tale ─ episode three ("Border") of season five. My source was at TVSeries.video.

There was one extremely touching scene when Aunt Lydia wept in repentance at comatose Janine's bedside as she prayed to God to save Janine and not punish her if it was some manner of lesson directed at Aunt Lydia ─ she vowed amendment for her past cruel choices if only God would spare Janine.

The scene was exceptionally believable to me.

I don't know what the 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀 is going on with very pregnant Serena, but she is making some dreadfully bad choices in seeking to retain status in Gilead ─ she needs her ass kicked. Her Canadian 'guardian' seem emotionally attached to her, and she may well feel something for him. But if she does not, and is only playing along in case he may have future use, then she must fall, despite me wanting her to have a full turnaround.

I place The Handmaid's Tale episode well ahead of Sight Unseen where my appreciation ranking is concerned, but it is well behind Friday Night Lights ─ my current favourite series.

The Handmaid's Tale was done by 9:12 p.m., and my brother likely returned at some point during it ─ I didn't notice that he had done so while I was having the extended break to brush my teeth.

Supposedly we are to have rain showers overnight, so it should not be necessary for me to be getting up at 5:30 a.m. for the extended hour-long (or more) watering routine that has become the watering norm now in the deepest heat of sunny Summer.

Right now it is 9:54 p.m., so I am going to call it quits with today's blogging and get this post published.

This heat!

My cellphone alarm was set for 5:30 a.m., and when it sounded, I did not have to argue myself into rising ─ sleeping had been so difficult that I was almost keen on rising.

I wanted to have an extra half hour to water the front yard garden areas, for I had been growing aware that it was taking me at least an hour to discharge this chore. This morning I may not have gone out front until as late as 5:45 a.m., but it was 7 a.m. by the time I was back in the house.

My instant coffee water had meantime been on a very slow boil, so it was all ready to fix me up a mug of the brew with which to wash down an aspirin.

I was to spend nigh 1½ hours in bed when I sought my nap just as my wife seemed to be getting up for the day, for she never had to work. I hadn't heard her get home last night following her working the full day at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

Despite the heat, she got busy gardening. She has tomorrow off work, too, but it is going to be up to me to do another morning of watering tomorrow, for she usually takes off late in the afternoon or early evening of her Wednesdays and does not return till at least Friday.

I am hoping to rise at 3 a.m. anyway to see about having some exercise at the elementary school playground for a change, so I can just get at the watering at my return if I do indeed find myself sticking to the exercise plan.

With my wife home and my brother watching the FIFA game with Bev well towards mid-afternoon, I neither has my usual afternoon exercising nor did I do any sunning.

At this point in my day it is 3:38 p.m., so I am going to break from blogging. I will resume in the evening.

Since my wife will not likely be home tomorrow, I can get into my shows and drinking earlier than was possible today.

How can a series that seemed to open up with such promise devolve into this pure rot? What the 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀's wrong with DC? They deserve to go under if they think this is acceptable entertainment.

Big Mistake.

My brother joined me around 9:20 a.m. at very latest.

I should know better by now, but next I tuned in a video listing itself at a bit over an hour (1:04:10) that had been streamed yesterday to Rumble's Redacted News channel: UFO Disclosure, Simulation Theory, and Alien Bodies w Ron James.

What I meant by knowing better was that almost the first 15 minutes were mere filler unrelated to the video because apparently host Clayton Morris wasn't set to stream; and then there were at least three commercial spiels interrupting the actual interview.

If I had thought ahead, I could have tuned in the same video on YouTube where it is more correctly listed as being 47 minutes (47:18) and been spared a lot of manually skipping ahead. YouTube tends to even cut out the commercials worked into these sorts of recorded livecasts.

Anyway, next up was Route 66 ─ episode 12 ("Sheba") of the first season. My source had been uploaded January 1, 2024, to YouTube's Classic Films & Serials Now! channel: Route 66 S1E12 Sheba (January 6, 1961).

I always liked this series. I didn't know of the lead guest actress ─ Whitney Blake ─ so I was surprised to read that she was the mother of actress Meredith Baxter. Meredith is now a little older than her mother Whitney ever got to be.

My brother and I finished up with a movie I had downloaded onto a USB drive that is currently inserted into our T95Q Android 9 TV Box, so I switched over to it. We were to get a little over a half hour into into the movie before my brother wanted to return to his bedroom for further bed rest, so the movie will have to wait for another day.

My wife had another full workday today, and actually emerged from her bedroom to shower right after my brother had joined me for T.V. She was away on her fairly long drive earlier than she sometimes rises to start getting ready!

I believe that I was to bed for my midday nap around 12:08 p.m., but though I was able to nap, I roused ahead of 1 p.m. If I did not intend any sunning, I might have tried to sleep a little further.

My brother was still here after 2 p.m., so I opted to have some exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom, and I put in darned near the usual half hour that characterizes these afternoon sessions. My brother had left for a bus to carry him off to social drink just before I had begun exercising, but I went ahead with it anyway.

As for my sunning, I well exceeded 1½ hours, commencing a few minutes ahead of 2:30 p.m. and carrying on until a few minutes past 4 p.m. During that time I had occasion to possibly kill three common green bottle flies, although they seemed more bluish to me.

Although I did see each one sort of 'bounce' away when I delivered a blow with my rolled-up tank top after each had lit on me, I only ever saw one of them thereafter because it revived and was obvious as it kept moving about, unable to fly any longer ─ does that make it a 'walk' rather than a fly?

This gives me no satisfaction after the commission of the effective strike. I just wish the damned things would leave me alone, and I would leave them alone. But sometimes it's as if they are deliberately taunting or tormenting me, and I get angry.

If I did kill one or two, and only crippled the living one, they will not avoid being discovered by hunting wasps that cruise the lawn, often landing and foraging beneath the leaves of prostrated weeds in the lawn.

As I said, it gives me no satisfaction delivering this cruelty ─ but all they have to do is avoid me.

After coming into the house I gathered up my day's second and quite light meal, which I have since eaten.

Right now, since it is 6 p.m., I am taking my blogging break to watch a couple of T.V. shows here on my bedside computer so that I can enjoy a couple of cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol).

I started off with FBI: Most Wanted ─ episode 12 ("68 Seconds") of season six. My source was at TVSeries.video.

It was darned good ─ I despise rapists. I found it a little weird that the rather athletic and fairly tall criminal had difficulty escaping heavy-butted Black agent Sheryll Barnes in a foot race ─ and then he later actually got out-runned by short and rather pudgy computer-geek agent Hana Gibson who even tackled him from behind, but he managed to fight her off by clocking her, running away again.

But I let these incongruities slide and still enjoyed the episode, which was done by 7:05 p.m.

I barely recognized guest actress Wendy Moniz, nor could I remember her from earlier seasons. However, I have only quite recently become drawn to her as a result of watching episodes of The Guardian.

I am certain that I blew at least 20 minutes trying to locate the proper episode of the next show I wanted to see. First I watched maybe 10 minutes of the wrong episode before concluding that far too much backstory was not known. Yet other websites were also misfiles.

I finally located the correct link file for Titans ─ episode two ("Red Hood) of season three. Apart from the waste of so much time, I had also been sampling my second can of beer ─ obviously wastefully. And as a consequence when I at last located the correct episode at 45 minutes in duration, I had to hold back on my consumption, fighting urges otherwise.

My final source was at TVids.to.

During the episode I was to hear my brother sneezing downstairs, so it was obvious he had arrived back home at some point.

And the episode was done by 8:43 p.m.

Next I took the time to brush my teeth while deliberating on how bloody light it was outside ─ I needed to pass sufficient time that darkness was nearer ere getting to bed.

So I tuned in S.W.A.T. ─ episode 13 ("Encore") of season two. My source was reliable GOOJARA.to.

Initially I poured maybe seven ounces of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) into a glass tumbler to see if I could extend its presence, but I couldn't ─ I added at least another five ounces to get me through the very good episode. I am never thrilled that S.W.A.T. is next on the roster of shows I watch, but lately I have been keenly enjoying them.

I keep wishing that the married somewhat older team member facing heavy familial expenditure he cannot realistically cope with would come into a windfall ─ just as I direly need one.

It is presently 10:44 p.m., so I am going to publish this post and then work my way through finishing up everything that needs completion ere I get myself to bed.

I've got my bedroom window open by a foot or so, and an upright fan as well as my ceiling fan running in this tiny bedroom of mine, and it's only enough to barely keep me from perspiring. Why isn't the cooler outside air circulating into my bedroom?

My 6 a.m. cellphone got me up this morning, but I had been awake over 1½ hours earlier and contemplating rising then to water the front yard garden areas, but I decided that it would be more beneficial for me to attempt any possible further sleep ─ I had gotten to bed last night just past midnight, and as yet my wife had not come home after working the full day at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

Some dreaming is evidence that I did finally manage a bit more needed sleep.

The front yard watering is indeed taking at least an hour now. My wife has so many fine wee plants of the flowering variety coming up that I have to water reasonably gently because they are so feeble that spray overwhelms them and they flatten out. One wispy plant that is already getting a light-mauve flower will droop just from the weight of being wet, let alone from getting sprayed with any directed stream of water.

It's becoming quite tedious.

So by the time I was back into the house it was already nigh 7:20 a.m. and I hadn't even had an aspirin and a mug of coffee ─ yet this is the time that I generally go out to the backyard tool shed for 15 minutes of exercise.

And so I had to do it without the bolstering of coffee, but I couldn't handle dealing with the squat work after the half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, so I dispensed with the knee and quadriceps work, despite how much I know my crippled right leg requires it.

I fooled myself by self-persuading that I could do those in the afternoon. I wanted my mug of instant coffee and to kick back here at my bedside computer while waiting for my younger brother to emerge from his bedroom for morning T.V.

One thing I did online was make a $135 payment to my credit card. The minimum payment due today was cited as $236, but I had already made a $200 payment May 31st. However, I don't think the $335 are going to dip the balance in the slightest; rather, I fear it will instead climb a little. But I just could not risk paying more with the fortnightly mortgage coming due on Thursday.

I am in a very bad way ─ I do not understand why I am not more worried.

My brother emerged from his bedroom around 8:45 a.m. to watch his T.V. news; I joined him shortly after 9 a.m.

I think that he may have turned the T.V. over to me before 9:15 a.m. so That I could put our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box into action, leading off with the two most recent videos uploaded to YouTube's AnitaK channel:

After that, I switched over to our T95Q Android 9 TV Box and we finished watching the movie we saw portions of both yesterday and the day before that. Specifically, it was 2018's A Wrinkle in Time.

One must indeed wonder why Disney remade the movie after having produced a previous version in 2003. Just leave that sort of garbage alone ─ it was utterly senseless rubbish. A solo road trip in the Wild West of Southwest Texas! I sleep in my car, show you Big Bend National Park, then drive on dusty dirt roads to a scenic location to make my morning coffee. I hike through caves and on the edge of a cliff to explore petroglyphs.
This area has been home to hunter gatherers for millenia, in more recent history the Chisos. Sources state these petroglyphs may date as far back as 8500 years.
I take you around Terligua, a Ghost Town on the edge of Big Bend National Park, then I take you to a Boothill Cemetary, where I take a look at all the unique, interesting graves.
Finally, I get to submerge my body in the Rio Grande. Horses are a theme today, as I saw them on my hike to petroglyphs and at the river. A classic American West Road trip!

We were only to get about 10 minutes into a documentary before my brother wanted to return to his bedroom for further bed rest, so that feature will be awaiting another day.

By the way, my wife did have another full workday today, so she emerged from her bedroom around 9:40 a.m. to shower and such, and managed to be off on her long sunny drive not too long after 10 a.m.

When she came downstairs, she expressed, "Happy Father's Day." I don't know if she was including me (as her two sons' stepfather), but I could not resist going into the kitchen where she was readying to leave, and I pointed out that only one other person had said the same to me ─ Bev did yesterday.

The two lads in question never approached me, although the elder lad lives miles from here with his girlfriend, and has for well over a year.

Anyway, I wasn't to my bed for my midday nap until maybe 12:18 p.m.

Afterwards, I wanted to sun; but this is also a bath day. So I decided to bath first, beginning at nearly 2 p.m.

I almost skipped the sunning, but decided to have an abbreviated session that officially ran from 3:08 - 4:07 p.m., so not quite an hour. Then I watered the backyard garden plants before returning into the house and fixing up my day's second and final meal.

By then I was too depleted and overheated to try and do that squat work, so it's off for today.

I have had my meal, and now I am taking my blogging break to watch at least two T.V. shows here on my bedside computer while enjoying a couple of cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol).

This episode turned out to be surprisingly exciting! And the conclusion was sweetly touching. I don't normally much care for head agent Isobel Castille, but she was definitely kissable this time!

My second series was Teen Wolf ─ episode six ("Heart Monitor") of the first season. My source was at Watch-TVSeries.net ... but I don't recommend it because the website likely forced a new browser window to surreptitiously open up advertising Stake gambling.

The episode was exciting enough; and Crystal Reed as Allison is so phenomenally seductive! But I am going to have to edge the episode of FBI over this one of Teen Wolf.

The show was done by 8:52 p.m., and three minutes later my brother arrived back home from wherever he had bused in the afternoon to social drink.

Instead of watching anything further, I decided to brush my teeth. And now at 9:56 p.m., I believe that I will do no further drinking (I only drank the two beers) nor show-watching.

Instead I am going to pass a bit of time here on my computer and then get to bed fairly early for a good change.

Double Take

My cellphone alarm was set for 3:30 a.m. when I went to bed quite late last evening, but I was to sleep poorly after an initial decent block of sleep, and before it was yet 2:30 a.m. I considered rising then. I did, in fact, get up; but then I contemplated that at that hour, there was more likelihood of 'night people' being abroad than later still.

Also, a distant house seemed to have some manner of roaring party going on. Might they have been immigrants watching some overnight FIFA match?

So I returned to bed and awaited my cellphone's summons at 3:30 a.m.

My youngest stepson apparently sat up all night. But no wonder, if he actually spent over 12 hours in bed yesterday, as I speculated in that day's post.

I rose at 3:30 a.m., but it was at least 4:35 a.m. before I was surreptitiously escaping the house without my stepson being aware. I had taken the time to enjoy a mug of instant coffee, using it to wash down an aspirin.

Already it was fairly light outside, and crows were squawking.

The point of this was that I was making the hobble to my financial institution's nearest ATM so that I could deposit $900 in cash ─ basically all the money I had on hand. I needed to ensure that there were adequate funds in my account for next Thursday's fortnightly mortgage debit by a different financial institution.

I also have to try and make as close to a $170 credit card payment tomorrow as I can, or else the balance will go up. Tomorrow is the due payment day. I had already paid $200 a couple or so weeks ago, but the balance is so high that through usury interest rates, another $170 might see the balance dip by a few dollars. If I only manage $100 more, there will be a definite rise in the balance.

This is such a struggle, and I don't get my monthly pension income until next Friday, the day after the mortgage is due. But our monstrous property taxes are due July 2nd ... just worries are in store, it seems.

Anyway, I got the deposit accomplished without incident, and only coincided once with someone else early into the hobble.

On my return hobble, I stopped in at the elementary school playground to try my hand at some exercise there. All of the equipment was perfectly dry.

I managed an opening set of three pull-ups, but then only one in the next set, as well as one chin-up in each of the next two sets. Over on the stationary rings I managed two in the first set, but only one in the second set.

I also performed a dead hang for about a minute, I would say. Then at the nearby metal ramp, I barely held out to finish 10 slow full-range decline push-ups.

As so often happens, once back home I forgot to weigh myself to see what weight I had been working with.

It might have been at least 6:15 a.m. before I was back to bed, my cellphone alarm set for 8 a.m. so that I would not lose any morning time with my brother watching our morning T.V. together.

Whether or not I got much additional sleep, I was keen enough on rising at 8 a.m. And my brother probably emerged from his bedroom around 8:30 a.m. at latest. I waited till just past 9 a.m. before joining him.

Around 9:10 a.m. or soon after he issued his invitation for me to start operation of our T69 Plus Android 14 TV Box, and so I led us off with a 17-minute (17:40) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's Moose on the Loose channel: Europe Is Rejecting Left-Wing Politics... Canada's Establishment Is Panicking.

Next was a 19-minute (19:04) video published earlier today to BitChute's Progressive Truth Seekers channel: Covid Vaccine LIES.

The video featured Dr. John Campbell almost incredulously highlighting segments of the June 3 Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations hearing (titled Plausible Mechanisms of Covid-19 Injections Causing Cancer and Attacks on Scientific Publications and Research) in which Chairman Senator Ron Johnson grilled Julie Gralow, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, on her awareness of elements of the COVID mRNA injection's components and their mechanisms of actions.

The woman has no business being employed in her position.

I believe that it was during this video that my wife emerged from her bedroom around 9:40 a.m. to shower and otherwise ready for a full day working at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time. I don't recall hearing her come home last night.

She was away on her fairly long drive by around 10:05 a.m.

Following Dr. John Campbell's video, I tuned in Agatha Christie's Poirot ─ episode six ("Triangle at Rhodes") of the first season or series. It was rather entertaining, not being set in England.

At its conclusion I resorted to the USB drive in our T95Q Android 9 TV Box and we watched some more of the movie we began yesterday, but we still have a little over a half hour to go ─ my brother broke from it so he could seek further bed rest.

By the way, mid-afternoon or so yesterday he drove himself and Bev to someone's barbecue to which they had been invited. I believe I recorded that they returned at 9:12 p.m.

Apparently between the barbecue and what he drank after getting home, he downed a minimum of a dozen cans of beer.

Hopefully that drunk-driving was a 'one-off'.

It may have been into the noon hour when I returned again to bed today, getting in a nap. My brother was still home when I finished, and I dawdled to well past 2 p.m. before opting to have a half-hour exercise session in my wife's vacant bedroom. I had already missed three such sessions, and tomorrow is a bath day so I expect I would be missing that one, too. Thus I dared not skip today and lose out on five consecutive sessions.

My brother apparently left afoot for a bus to carry him off to social drink whilst I was exercising, so I was cleared to get in some sunning.

If I am recalling the time correctly, I am certain that I got in a minimum of 1½ hours. And when done, I gathered up my day's second and final meal, but it proved heavier than I desired.

It is time now for some T.V. series that I will be watching here on my bedside computer while enjoying two or maybe even three cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol). I will conclude this post in the latter evening, for at present it is 7:19 p.m.

I've gotten to like this series. I'm unfamiliar with her, but if anyone is interested, the guest actress in this one was Joy Tanner. Supposedly she turned 60 on March 7 (born 1966). Time is a mean bastard.

Anyway, the show was done at by 9:33 p.m.

Earlier I was inclined to maybe call it quits at this point, but I correctly assumed what show was next on my roster, and I just could not resist watching another episode.

I am speaking of Ragnarok ─ and especially the premiere episode ("Brothers in Arms") of season two. As always, my source was at BiliBili.tv ─ the entire series is there.

The episode was intense. Evidently I am one of those who noticed that lead actor David Stakston markedly 'bulked up' in muscularity between season one and two ─ wild! He's more believable now as a Thor reincarnate.

Darn it ─ I must start shutting down everything open on this machine and get to bed, for it is already 11:32 p.m. and I intend to rise at 6 a.m. for my usual morning.

A Day of Decline

Even my younger brother never heard my wife come home last night. I was up until towards the end of the evening (I don't think I crept past midnight), but he was still downstairs keeping the T.V. company ─ Bev may have been up as well.

My cellphone alarm was set for 6 a.m., but I was sleeping poorly towards the end of my night and I could have risen before 5:30 a.m., but this was to be a day without coffee nor any sustenance until after 6 p.m. (although I intend a little drinking before then). Consequently I had no desire to commence my experience of privation any earlier than necessary.

After rising at 6 a.m., my first task was to get outside and water the front yard garden areas. I am convinced that the chore exceeded 45 minutes, and may have come closer to an hour. Once I was back in the house, I decided to just go out to the backyard tool shed for my 15 minutes of exercise there ─ after 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area.

I was feeling weak and stiff. In fact, I had to perform the squat work first in a bid to loosen up a little before tackling the six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups. But in all six of those, I only managed a single repetition, although I did hold the dead hang for a 45-count after completing the last pull-up.

My wrists and main thumb joints have been problematic of late. I feel like I am breaking down.

My brother was not to emerge from his bedroom until (I think) around or even a little after 8:30 a.m. But my wife had preceded him, going downstairs to apparently soak some sticky rice. She was not scheduled to work until the latter afternoon at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time. I believe that she may have returned to her bedroom, but whether she slept or not cannot be told; and she was up for good by 9:40 a.m.

By the time my brother had risen, I had badly declined and craved to go back to bed. The weakness and brain fog! I was convinced that I could easily have slept.

But I weathered it and joined my brother around 9 a.m. for our morning T.V. together, although he did not invite me to commence operation of our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box until maybe 9:20 a.m.

I led us off with a 20-minute (20:19) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's PortuguesePai channel: PM Carney’s Disrespect for Parliament is real.

When it was done we got into a movie, but my brother bowed out for further bed rest after 25 or so minutes.

I had grown unnaturally weak and wasted little time in getting myself back to bed ─ it was barely into the noon hour. My wife had gone grocery shopping earlier and had been busily engaged cooking; and early into the movie invited my brother to have some of her pad thai. Obviously I had to abstain.

I felt so feeble in bed.

After getting some sleep on my right side, I turned onto my left side to seek more, but I had a peek at the time ─ it was already 2 p.m. If I wanted to get in my sunning, I had to get up and at it.

My brother was downstairs watching T.V. ─ Bev was either outside smoking, or else in their bedroom freshening up in the en suite shower. My wife was still busy in the kitchen.

I gambled that it was likely too hot for my brother to be planning on mowing the lawns, and sunning I began! Officially, from 2:18 - 4:04 p.m., if I am remembering right.

Before coming back into the house, I watered the backyard garden plants.

I correctly expected my wife to have gone to work, but to my surprise my brother and Bev were also absent and the T.V. turned off. What is so surprising is that at present it is 5:40 p.m. and they have not returned. My brother does not dare drink and drive anymore, so something else is going on.

Or else he is being recidivistic for some reason.

I have to take my blogging break now. I am going to pour a dozen or so ounces of Sommet Rouge red wine (12% alcohol) and watch a T.V. show here on my bedside computer whilte drinking it, and then I will eat my only meal of the day.

I weighed myself while naked shortly after getting back in the house after sunning and having a drink of water, and I was quite pleased to see that if I was any heavier than 180 pounds, I was only barely so.

But I am so unnaturally weak.

After some second thought, I only poured about 10 ounces of wine ─ things have become financially very tight.

Anyway, I tuned in Justified ─ episode six ("Kill the Messenger") of season five. I do NOT recommend the source, however ─ DoodStream.co. Every single time my cursor touched some part of that website at the full destination URL for the video, it threw up a new advertising tab in my Brave browser.

But you be you if you've got good ad and malware blocking software.

Note that I am not following Justified. I am only watching the 10 episodes in which Alicia Witt appeared. This one was the third episode of those appearances.

It was over by 6:58 p.m.

Early into the show, my youngest stepson finally rose for the day ─ I am assuming he was here all that while. It stretches imagination, though, for if he was home all day, he was not up when I rose at 6 a.m. this morning. The question thus is: Did he spend over a dozen hours in bed today?

When the episode was done, my brother and Bev were not yet home from wherever they had disappeared to in the afternoon while I was sunning. He must surely be risking drinking and then driving to later get home.

As for my glass tumbler of wine, I finished it rather smartly so that I could eat my supper through the latter part of Justified. My meal lasted a little bit longer than did the episode.

I had a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) with my second show, which was Smash ─ episode 14 ("Previews") of the first season. My source was at GOOJARA.to.

I enjoy these episodes ─ what else needs be said?

It was done by 8:19 p.m., and still my brother and Bev were away.

I spent time brushing my teeth, while deciding that I would watch nothing further ... nor drink. I want to rise at maybe 3 a.m. and deposit all of the cash I have on hand in order to be able to ensure there is enough money in my account for next Thursday's fortnightly mortgage debit by a bank. I also must try to make at least a $100 credit card payment by Monday. I've already paid $200, but the additional $100 won't be enough to dip the card's balance ─ it will only make the balance increase smaller. It takes a $400 payment to get the balance to dip ─ even $350 is insufficient.

I hate my life.

I slept poorly during the latter portion of my night, but since I never checked the time, I cannot say if if was from 4 a.m. or just when. My cellphone alarm was set for 6 a.m., so that was when I rose to contend with my morning.

No later than 7:40 a.m. I dealt with the 10 slow full-range push-ups that presage my visit to the backyard tool shed for the usual 15 minutes of exercise out there. It was very usual: two pull-ups in the first set, and then a single repetition in each of the five sets that followed, with a 45-count dead hang at the completion of the final pull-up.

Then came the squat work to strengthen my crippled right knee and quadriceps.

Thereafter back in the house I dished up my day's first light meal and brought that upstairs here to my bedside computer ─ my younger brother had already come downstairs and was watching his T.V. news programmes while having a coffee.

I joined him at the T.V. a little past 9 a.m., and by 9:20 a.m. took over and activated our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box, then tuned in a two-minute video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's AnitaK channel: He said, it’s child abuse.

Switching gears, I next tuned in Doc Martin ─ episode seven ("Listen with Mother") of season or series six. Uptight Martin does not deserve Louisa ─ what manner of man would not want to snuggle and coo sweet nothings to such a naturally beautiful young woman? The poor thing obviously had the most meagre of trimmings to select from in choosing her life's companion there in isolated Portwenn.

When Doc Martin was done, I switched over to our T95Q Android 9 TV Box and the USB drive inserted into it, and we watched a downloaded episode of Yonderland ─ the first season or series episode three ("Reformation"). I don't know for certain now, but my download source might likely have been GOOJARA.to.

It was only 11:15 a.m. or so when Yonderland ended, but my brother was already set to return to his bedroom for further bed rest, for it proved that very early in the afternoon he would be leaving on foot to catch a bus and go social drinking.

This was a hot and sunny day, so I intended some sunning. First, though, I got back to bed ahead of noon for a nap, rising again just before 1 p.m. If I knew that my wife would not be coming home before she reported in to work the latter part of the day at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, I would have used her vacant bedroom for some exercise before sunning.

My brother was still home. I was unsure if maybe he might intend mowing the lawns, but anon I heard him say goodbye to Bev ─ that was my cue to ready for the sunning session.

And it was to begin at 1:31 p.m. through to 3:05 p.m., so just a very few minutes over 1½ hours.

Upon coming back into the house, I found my wife busy in the kitchen cooking. She was to leave for work right around 3:30 p.m., but she first dished me up the delicious light meal that was to be my day's second and final meal (along with a mandarin orange and an apple).

By the time my wife left, it was far too warm in the bedrooms for me to care to exercise after having been out in the Sun for as long as I had been. This needed to have been done in the early afternoon.

Now, concerning my earlier nap. Before taking to my bed, I had checked my financial situation online, for I had not done so for a few days. What I discovered deeply disturbed me. I have no desire to be upsetting myself more by getting into it, but it boils down to the fact that in order to have the money in my account to cover next Thursday's fortnightly mortgage payment that is debited automatically, I can do no shopping until I receive my monthly pension income towards the end of the month.

And in researching this just now, I see that the deposit of my pension is scheduled for June 26 ─ the day after the mortgage is due. I had fretted that I might not be getting paid until after that weekend.

But I do not see how I am going to make it through July without financial assistance, since our property taxes are due July 2nd. My share is practically two mortgage payments ... yet there will still be those two mortgage payments next month!

I cannot bear getting through my evenings without my usual few drinks ─ it is my sole relief from the bleakness of my life.

Anyway, yes, I am feeling considerable stress. As often occurs, while I was sunning I was contemplating that only my familial responsibilities are keeping me in this bondage to debt; had I no such sense of obligation, it would be better for me to not be continuing with my pointless life.

With that stated, at present it is 5:34 p.m., so I am going to take my blogging break and commence that drinking while watching (here on my bedside computer) whatever are the next three T.V. shows on my list.

My four-litre box of Domaine d'Or red wine (12% alcohol) only had maybe two ounces remaining, so I filled up the rest of the glass tumbler with an additional 10 or so ounces of Sommet Rouge ─ also 12% alcohol.

I was delighted to discover that my next show was to be The 100 ─ episode 10 ("A Little Sacrifice") of season seven. My source was at GOOJARA.to.

I have begun to love these late episodes of the series ─ I know this one will easily top the three shows in my personal poll.

Alas, it ended rather abruptly at 6:36 p.m.

With the glass tumbler of wine done and a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) to hand, I saw that my next show was Van Helsing ─ episode 12 ("Three Pages") of season four. I chose GOOJARA.to as my source again.

It was good ─ but nowhere near The 100 good, though. And it was done by 7:49 p.m.

My second and final can of beer accompanied Madam Secretary ─ episode 20 ("The Necessary Art") of the first season. Opting for reliability, I chose GOOJARA.to as my source for the third time.

The show was over by 8:47 p.m.

I nearly chose to discard this long-lived series because it is not my 'cup of tea'. I disbelieve 'the Establishment' ─ this sort of series was approved by that very entity, and I detest the beguility of so many people who kept the series in vogue for so bloody many seasons.

I am drawn to Russians, however, so I watched the episode when I saw its description. Nonetheless, I only ever began watching the series because the actress (Julia Schlaepfer) who portrayed the valiant English socialite Alexandra who died in her bid to reach her American husband Spencer Dutton's family ranch in the midst of Wintry Montana in the T.V. series 1923 enchanted me so profoundly.

Yet she only makes one appearance in this series, and not until the third season. I have already put myself through 20 episodes of the first season of the political propaganda Madam Secretary series, and it is still not done ─ enough, I think. Next time I am only going to watch the relevant third season episode and be done with it.

Incidentally, I think that it was maybe 9:02 p.m. when I heard my brother come through the front door.

Anyway, I had no early a.m. plans for tomorrow, alas, so I tuned in the sitcom Whitney after pouring myself a bit more than a big half-shot glass of Johnnie Walker Red Label Blended Scotch Whisky (40% alcohol) ─ specifically, Whitney was episode nine ("Snapped") of season two. My source this time was at Soap4Days.pro ─ new to me!

It was a good Whitney episode ─ not the best, though.

I neglected to take note of when it finished, but it was well past 10 p.m. Before I tuned it in I had taken the time to brush my teeth.

Maybe it's best I start shutting down everything on this device and get to bed. A financial miracle would sure be nice. Right now it is 10:41 p.m.

Habit Forming

I was conscious when my 6 a.m. alarm summoned me to rise, and in fact I was rather ready enough to do so. Since I intended to spend a half hour or more watering the front yard garden areas, I put a kettle of water on the stove to slow-boil so that I could have a mug of instant coffee afterwards, and in the process wash down an aspirin.

All went as planned.

Then between 7:45 - 7:50 a.m. I performed the usual 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area before proceeding outside to the backyard tool shed for the usual 15 minutes of exercise there: a half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, starting off with just two repetitions in the first set and then just one in the remaining five ─ and the final of those involved a dead hang for a 45-count when the pull-up had been completed.

Those were followed by the squat work to strengthen my crippled right knee and quadriceps.

Back in the house I put together my day's first meal and I was early into eating that here at my bedside computer when my younger brother emerged from his bedroom for the morning.

I had thought that if he was to make a 'beer run' in the early afternoon, I would accompany him; but I saw that he still had seven cans in his "two-four" (24-pack), so I figured he would wait until tomorrow. I had what is a busy afternoon for me if I added in a beer run, for I wanted to sun, and I also would normally have 25-30 minutes of exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom; plus this was a bath day ─ that whole process in itself from the time I enter the bathroom until I leave it again utilizes an hour.

And then there is my blogging.

But back to the morning.

I joined my brother after 9 a.m. for some morning T.V., but he dragged on before finally inviting me to take over nigh 9:20 a.m. to commence operation of our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box.

First off I tuned in a 24-minute (24:45) video uploaded this morning to YouTube's PortuguesePai channel: "The Worst I've ever Seen" - Liberals called Out // Trump wants CUSMA TERMINATED.

Yesterday I had downloaded onto a USB stick or drive an episode each of two T.V. series ─ the two episodes were too troublesome to locate sources for via the TV Box. So I had inserted that USB drive into the TV Box, and we thus were able to first watch The Graham Norton Show ─ episode 13 of season or series 33; and then Winners & Losers ─ the second episode ("Those People in the Paper") of the first season.

I see now that this specific episode of The Graham Norton Show is available at this VK.ru link ─ I was not aware, and had resorted to using a torrent file download.

And now I also see that the second episode of Winners & Losers is available at this m.OK.ru link ─ I had noticed it yesterday, but the video title mentions "FRENCH", so I just figured that it was dubbed in French and never gave it a try. It is not French at all ─ regular English.

Oh, well.

We were to watch nothing else this morning. By 11:30 a.m. my brother was set to return to his bedroom for further bed rest.

Before I knew it, I had wasted time till it was at least 12:15 p.m. and I had not yet sought my needed nap ─ I was cutting out my early afternoon already doing nothing worthwhile.

I had my nap, but that brought me to 1:30 p.m. My brother was still home, so I was entertaining the idea of exercising in my wife's vacant bedroom; and then I believed that I heard my brother leaving somewhere in his van.

I was not quite feeling up to the exercising yet, and then I realized that it might be best to instead just have that bath, and then squeeze in some sunning ─ I can't get everything done!

So I bathed, aware after a time that my brother had returned from wherever he had gone. He left again on foot to catch a bus so he could go social drinking, but he did that before I had finished up in the bathroom.

At that point it was practically 3 p.m.

I went downstairs, set to do my sunning ─ an abbreviated version; and as I passed through the kitchen area, I saw that my brother had gone and bought another 24-pack of beer. Now I won't likely have another opportunity before Monday.

I got in my sunning, commencing at 3:06 p.m., and lasting until at least 4:14 p.m. Then I watered the backyard garden plants before coming into the house to dish up what would be my day's second and final meal.

I ate that here at my bedside computer, and then finally got started blogging.

And now it is 6:26 p.m. and I must take a break so I can do some drinking while watching whatever are the next three T.V. series on my list. Naturally, I will be doing that here on my bedside computer, since Bev 'owns' the T.V. from the time she rises midday until she goes to bed at night.

It was definitely an exciting episode, though I was never affected emotionally beyond feeling the excitement.

It was over by 7:26 p.m. and I felt it would likely be my top choice over the next two shows, but as yet I had no idea what they were to be. So that could change.

Next up, along with a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol), was Necessary Roughness ─ episode four ("Habit Forming") of the first season. Once again, I selected GOOJARA.to for my source.

It was very good ─ I truly enjoy these episodes. But I require the vicariousness that Stargirl provided, so I am going to have to place this episode a second to Stargirl.

And it was done by 8:29 p.m.

I often take this opportunity to have a break to brush my teeth (it can be a 15-minute chore), so that is what I did. Since I intended just one further beer, I would prefer to develop the buzz after brushing my teeth, than to be brushing them while losing that buzz.

Incidentally, I realized that my brother must have gotten home soon before this, and was dressing down in his bedroom before going downstairs to open a beer and join Bev.

Well, I finished up with Legacies ─ episode 11 (What Cupid Problem?") of season two. I chose yet again GOOJARA.to because it tends to be reliable and doesn't throw up these bloody infernally annoying hijacking advertisement website browsers.

And so went a second and final can of beer.

The show was done rather abruptly by 9:52 p.m., and in retrospection I had to admit that maybe all my shows this evening were in a tie for my appreciation, very good fare for what they offered. As for Legacies, bad girl witch Alyssa as portrayed by actress Olivia Liang was devastating in the scene of her walking to the swimming pool and displaying those phenomenal legs!

My reaction to that scene ─ and her ─ was the peak of all three episodes I watched this evening.

I am going to stop here and publish this post. I have a lot to shut down and finish before I finally get to bed.

I want to mention that after having had a 40-or-more-minute conversation with Sandy W. (my late old friend W.A.G.'s lady friend) two days ago after probably over a year, today she had phoned me twice and texted at least once. I am unsure about email.

This was always a problem with her. I can barely spare minutes from my bleak life somehow, yet she would find nothing more occupying in her own life than to usurp 30 ... 40... or more minutes a day in idle, pointless, phone conversations. I don't do that. Once a month at very best is even more than I can likely find space or inclination for.

Okay, I am shutting this post down and publishing it at 10:20 p.m.

By the time my 6 a.m. alarm chimed, I was almost eager to get up, for I had been struggling a lot to keep finding brief bouts of sleep in my latter night. And again, I never heard my wife come home last night that I can recall.

She had today off work, so I felt somewhat restrained insofar as sunning, but I will get into that shortly.

Around 7:48 a.m. I prefaced my visit to the backyard tool shed with the usual 10 slow full-range push-ups in the kitchen area, then I went outside. The half dozen sets of pull-ups and chin-ups were fairly usual. I opened with two pull-ups in the first set, then one in the second set; but I managed two repetitions as well in the first set of chin-ups, lapsing to just one in the second set. And I only had a single pull-up in both sets performed between the two sides of the child's metal ladder once attached to a slide ─ the ladder is stretched across roof rafters and is my only tool for pull-ups and chin-ups.

Due to the thickness of the sides, I cannot properly grip them ─ mostly my hands are cupped over them, and I try to touch a finger to my thumb with each hand to mimic actually gripping. However, there is great strain on the thumb-side of my wrists due to the awkward placement of my hands once they are supporting my weight.

Anyway, I held the dead hang of the final pull-up between the bars for a 45-count.

Then I dealt with the squat work to strengthen my crippled right knee and quadriceps.

Back in the house I got together my day's first meal, then brought that upstairs here to my bedside computer to eat. My younger brother emerged from his bedroom while I was having that meal.

I didn't join him for our morning T.V. together until a little past 9 a.m.; and it was nearing 9:15 a.m. when he invited me to take over with our Android TV Box ─ but he warned that he would not be home for much longer because he had made plans to go and visit his daughter and year-old grandson over in Washington State.

I watched nothing else. It was not much past 11:30 a.m. when I got back to bed for my needed nap, though I had a little difficulty relaxing enough for sleep, and I was rising anew just shy of 1 p.m.

My wife was up by then and busy in the kitchen.

Had this been a full workday for her, I could have begun sunning very early, but my brother was not yet back either, so that also hampered me. I finally just wrote off both the sunning as well as any afternoon exercising in my wife's bedroom ─ the only place in the house where I can exercise in private provided she is not here.

She did go off to do some grocery shopping a little past 3 p.m., but of course I need to know that she is going to be fully absent.

My brother returned in the early afternoon, having had a successful border crossing in both directions; and then a little past 2 p.m. he left on foot to catch a bus so he could go social drinking.

Right now it is 3:35 p.m. and I am still awaiting my wife's return from T&T Supermarket. I won't take my blogging break to do some drinking and watch whatever three T.V. shows are next on my list until after she takes her leave of us very late in the afternoon or early evening, for her routine on Wednesdays is to disappear until sometime on Friday (she has Thursdays off work as well).

So I break now just to await her return and subsequent departure, at which point I will quickly update this post and then get into my entertainment.

Well, my wife got back at 4:25 p.m. from her shopping outing. And a little less than an hour later, she was gone ─ without a word to me.

Feeling my social isolation, I tuned in the premiere episode of a T.V. series I was almost certain I had begun watching pre-COVID, but nothing about the episode was familiar ─ if I did see it before, I must have been quite drunk.

I am referring to Cloak & Dagger ─ season one's opening episode "First Light". My source was at GOOJARA.to.

This was certainly an interesting episode; and the young actress (Rachel Ryals) portraying the female lead character's childhood self was so darned cute!

The close of the episode struck home how lonely and alone I am, even if I don't always feel myself to be. I had watched the show with about a dozen ounces of Domaine d'Or red wine (12% alcohol) in a glass tumbler, and the show and wine were done by 6:35 p.m.

Next up was Superman & Lois ─ episode 11 ("Complications") of season three. Again, my source was at GOOJARA.to.

The latter part of this episode had me pretty much weeping and rebuking God for just watching me waste away to nothing when I am so confident I could transcend imagining if only I had the financial boost to yield me independence of family, government, and the Globalist / Elites / Cabal running this, Satan's world.

I drank a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) during the episode, and both were done by 7:56 p.m. There is no question that Superman & Lois will be topping the charts for me this evening. Cloak & Dagger is some distance back in second place.

Rather than move on immediately into my final show and can of beer, I opted to spend the 15 or so minutes brushing my teeth so I would not need to have that ahead.

That third show was The Expanse ─ episode 11 ("Here There Be Dragons") of season two. And for the third time this evening, my flawless source proved to be at GOOJARA.to.

I will rate this episode ahead of Cloak & Dagger, so Superman & Lois remained well triumphant. The episode was done by 9:26 p.m.

I confess to being eager for more drink and entertainment.

Fortunately I amused myself with 1960s YouTube music videos until a slightly saner mind prevailed. But right now it is 11:10 p.m., and I must commence shutting down a lot of open browser tabs and software and get myself to bed.

Oddly, my brother has yet to return home.

Losers and More Losers

For the second consecutive bedtime last night, my wife was not yet home from her full day of work at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time; and each of those times she was being faced with a full workday the following day.

Also, I do not remember hearing her get home.

When my 6 a.m. alarm chimed this morning, it definitely roused me. For a change, I was doing a decent job of sleeping, I expect.

Still, I again felt brutalized from my night abed, yet I was most reluctant to rise from bed and court the various aches, pains, and stiffness that are my lot now.

First up was to slow-boil a kettle of water for an instant coffee while I went out front and spent a half hour watering front yard garden areas. Actually, it was a little past 7 a.m. when I was back in the house, so maybe it took me considerably more than a half hour.

The mug of coffee washed down an aspirin. And then when the coffee was done, I was prefacing a visit to the backyard tool shed around 7:50 a.m. with what I intended to be the usual 10 slow full-range push-ups on the floor in the kitchen area when I heard what I fretted was my younger brother emerging from his bedroom to come downstairs.

I had only done seven of the push-ups, but I dared not be discovered so I hustled up to my feet and headed on outside.

The exercise session in the shed was the usual: two pull-ups in the first set, with just one repetition in each of the remaining sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, with a 45-count as I held the dead hang following the final pull-up between the bars.

Now I am going to have to see just what other episodes I have downloaded onto that USB stick or drive, but I cannot do that until early tomorrow ─ Bev is of course watching the T.V., as she does every day from the time she rises until she finally goes to bed at night.

A little past 1:30 p.m. I had decided to get my usual afternoon exercising in my wife's vacant bedroom over with while it was still relatively cool, for her bedroom like mine faces the West and the Sun was still not directing its heat from that direction ─ our bedrooms were still shaded.

It probably took me at least 25 minutes, for I did knock off two sets of one-legged 'wall chairs' or whatever the exercise is called. I usually do four sets ─ a wall chair for each leg in each set, held for a 30-count. I can't have my thigh exactly horizontal, nor can I have more than my pelvis against the wall ─ I have to lean forward to do these, especially with my damaged right leg.

Only after exercising did I then see that my brother was gone and not moving the lawns, so I am sure that I got in 1½ hours of sunning.

But enough! I must break now from blogging and watch the next three T.V. shows on my list's rotation while enjoying a little drinking. I've already had my day's second and final meal.

Excellent fare! It reinforces my decision posted in yesterday's entry that after having then just watched episode six of the extremely lengthy series Psych, I can bear no more of that tripe. And there were maybe a couple of movies to boot?

How does garbage like that become a sustained hit?

Anyway, Vegas was done by 7:14 p.m.

My next show was The Gifted ─ episode 14 ("calaMity") of season two. My source was again at GOOJARA.to.

Pretty exciting, alright! But they've killed off Clarice? Ain't no way she can have sustained three high-calibre slugs to the back and survived. (But I peeked and did some research ─ she's apparently in it for two more episodes ─ hopefully not just in flashbacks.)

A can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) accompanied the episode, and another would do similarly for my last show of the evening. But this episode was done by 8:31 p.m.

My brother showed up some minutes before 9 p.m. To my huge annoyance, after he went into this bedroom to dress down, I heard him say something like, "Oh, so you're awake now?"

In other words, that idiot Bev had retired to their bedroom and just left the T.V. ─ mine that I bought back in 2008 when I was still employed and had the money ─ running with no one watching it!

I'm sick of this life smothering me while my time trickles away with increasing speed now that I am essentially a housebound crippled 76-year-old.

God must hate me beyond my imagining.

Whatever.

I took the 15 or so minutes required to brush my teeth, after which I espied my brother passed out alone downstairs 'watching' T.V.

My third and final show was new to me. It looks to be a series my brother would very much enjoy, for it intrigued me. I am speaking of Close to Me ─ the single series or season premiere episode. My source was at this OK.ru link.

As I said, this short-lived series is intriguing!

I chose to watch this series because of my fascination with the murderous character portrayed by actress Rosy McEwen in season two of The Alienist, but I never had a shred of recognition of her in this evening's episode as portraying the daughter of the lead character. Of course I did not know that Rosy was going to have that role ─ I was just waiting to see when she would make an appearance as some possible very secondary character and I never noticed it.

Maybe I am going to have to start watching Winners & Losers on my own if the series is going to be so troublesome to record. Just an afterthought.

I am going to publish this post now, and commence finishing up and closing everything else I have open on my computer. Right now it is 11:12 p.m., and my wife generally does not work on Wednesdays nor Thursdays, so she has no motivation to be getting home anytime soon tonight that I can conjure.
