Getting the outdoor grill fired up for dinner as I usher in the summer season in 2019. That's what I love about the hottest season of the year: cooking outside on a sun-drenched late afternoon and early evening and enjoy a home-grilled meal.

Few things saw it's officially summer like a yummy dinner cooked outdoors on the grill. That's one of the things I love about the month of June, as the weather continues to warm and as the days reached their longest of the year. I have plenty of time to fire up the grill and cook ribs, sausage links, chicken breasts and other yummy food. This photo was snapped late on the afternoon of Friday, June 21, 2019, right around the summer solstice, the longest day and shortest night of the year.
