Here's a favorite tweet from Pete Yurkowski of Survivor Philippines (Season 25). When asked if he learned any Filipino words, he replied, "Uhh, let me think... Tandang, Matsing, Kalabaw.. uh... San Miguel."

He must be referring to San Miguel Beer that was often served during his stay in Ponderosa - a place for the members of the jury.

Denise Stapley Wins Survivor: Philippines

Final 4 - Malcolm, Skupin, Lisa, Denise. Credits CBS.

Denise Stapley wins $1,000,000 as the ultimate survivor of Survivor: Philippines 25th Season. Her winning the Survivor came as a surprise, though, indeed she's an incredible woman. The episodes looked like Denise was not playing the game. At the tribal council, she said that she played the social aspect of the game. Jeff Probst once said that Survivor was a social game.

In the final immunity challenge, Skupin won. That gave him the power to be in control and put Malcolm at risk. Heaving steady hands was Malcolm's weakness. It's the reason why he didn't win the challenge.

In the tribal council, Malcolm was voted out -- something he didn't see coming. In his exit interview, he said that he might have pushed himself too hard.

In the final tribal council, the final 3 - Denise, Lisa, and Skupin had a chance to sell themselves. Likewise, the members of the jury had a chance to speak what's on their mind. Lisa's move to "unfriend" Penner backfired. In his privilege speech, Penner revealed Lisa's secret -- that she was a teen actress from a soap "Facts of Life" -- to the surprise of every one.

Rule#14. Like Malcolm said, "Don't push it too hard."

The next season of Survivor US will be again in the Caramoan Islands of the Philippines. The 26th season was shot right after season 25. This season, it's going to Fans vs Favorites. See you next season!

The New Year's episode was all about anything that explodes. Taking the challenges are celebrities June Macasaet (winner of Mr. Manhunt International 2012), Luane Dy (Unang Hirit co-host), Patricia Ismael (commediene), and Bearwin Meily (comedian/illusionist). The first challenge was to extinguish the fire from burning drums scattered on a race track while riding an owner jeep. The second challenge was an obstacle course where at the end the challengers had to solve a puzzle. Puzzle pieces were hidden in filthy and yucky pools of water. Inside a cubicle, Luane solved the puzzle first even if she was the last to reached the cubicle. Patricia, June, and Bearwin all bathed in filthy poopy chicken feeds.

The last challenge was to lit a firecracker artwork while strapped on an elastic. Surprisingly, Luane won overall.

Ep#8. Christmas Challenge

In this episode Gladys Guevarra, Derrick Monasterio, Joyce Ching, and Hideo Muraoka were up to the challenge. The first challenge was how long they could stay in a freezing environment. The second challenge was to carol for Christmas. The money they collected were given to a charity in Marikina. The final challenge was to decorate and light a giant Christmas Tree that was hanging from GMA Network's building. Hideo won overall. Another Brapanese won big bucks. (Akihiro Sato, also a Brazilian-Japanese working in the Philippines as a model, won Survivor Season 3.)

Ep#7. SuperHuman

Another Montero joins Extra Challenge. This time, it's Troy Montero, brother of KC Montero, partner of Aubrey Miles. Together with Troy are Paolo Paraiso, Antonio Aquitania, and Petite, an overweight proud-gay. Petite battled against three strong straight hunks. The first challenge was walk/run on a treadmill that is suspended on air. Troy won the challenge. The second challenge was to pull a passenger jeepney. Aquitania won this time. The last challenge was Q&A while seated on an electric chair. Who won this time - Petite. S/he was able to answer most of the questions correctly. S/he won overall.

Ep#6. Perya

KC Montero (Survivor 4), Aira Bermudez of Sexbomb (Survivor 3), John "Sweet" Lapuz, and Regine Tolentino were brought to a carnival at Quezon City Circle. The first challenge was to ride a ferris wheel. The twist - they ride standing on top of the cart while the ferris wheel turns. While standing on top, they have to basket the balls they were carrying. KC won this challenge.

The second challenge was to transfer popcorn from one end of a swinging gondola to the opposite end. KC again won this challenge. The final challenge was to stay inside a tilting glass hour full of mice. Everybody endured the challenge. To break the tie, they had to eat a bowl of blended nasty and gross ingredients.

KC won overall. He took home P290,000.

Ep#5. Ilog Pasig

Mikael Daez, LJ Reyes, JC Tiuseco and Love Anover were brought to Pasig River in Guadalupe, Makati. The first challenge was to swim-cross the Pasig River or jump off the Gaudalupe Bridge. Mikael backed out after LJ injured herself. JC and LJ were brought to the hospital for treatment. Good thing they weren't hurt at all. They only strained their legs. The final challenge was to hang them ala Tom Cruise in the movie Mission Impossible over a pile of dirt and poop. LJ won overall. The three were not able to endure the challenge.

Ep#4. Buhay Kalakay

Rochelle Pangilinan, Sheena Halili, Geneva Cruz and Mystica were the next contenders of Extra Challenge. This episode marks what makes Extra Challenge unique as a reality TV. XC has both entertainment and social awareness value.

In this episode, the challengers went to a village near a dump site in Navotas. They had to do what the scavengers do -- collect recyclable garbage; then spend time with a family living in shanties.

Episode 3

For a full story of this episode, read this article. It was a steamy episode with Karen and Boobay having a heated argument resulting from Boobay's humor. Instead of introducing Karen as delos Reyes, he called her delos Santos. I used to admire Karen for her acting because she's good. But after that episode, I think it's not worth it. She reminds me of Angel Locsin walking out of Extra Challenge (Paolo Bediones time) for a trivial reason that she didn't want to dance, not even to sway her hips.

Ep#2. Kadiri To Death

Aubrey Miles, Ate Gay, Enzo Pineda, and Mark Herras were the challengers. The first challenge was to swim to the shore and transfer the eels from one container to the other. Enzo won the challenge, doubling his P30,000 wage. The second challenge was to finish a slice of pizza full of yucky ingredients like fish eggs and entrails, and frog meat. Aubrey won the challenge doubling here wage of P30,000. The last challenge was to survive a dark room wherein they have to search for 4 jewelry items like earrings, necklace, bracelet, and a ring.

Mark Herras backout from the last challenge because of his "fear of the unknown." Ate Gay and Enzo completed the challenge but failed to bring out all the 4 items. Aubrey successfully completed the challenge.

Pilot Episode

The previous Extra Challenges had a social awareness touch like a challenge to be caregivers, immersion challenges, or living in the streets with beggars. This year, Extra Challenge mixes Fear Factor with Survivor-type of challenges. The twist is for every challenge, the challengers should wage a sum of money. Initially, they have P100,000 each. Whoever goes home with the largest money winnings wins the game.

In the pilot episode, Dennis Trillo, Rafael Rosell, Alessandra de Rosi, and Kylie Padilla were the first challengers. The first challenge was to unlock themselves inside a coffin suspended on air above the sea. The second challenge was to endure the presence of snakes, frogs, and cockroaches in a container where only their heads were visible. The third challenge was like a horror house challenge.

Dennis won in the first two challenges. Rafael in the third, grabbing the largest pot of money. Kylie lost her way, so she lost.

Teaser

This is the season when we used to watch the Philippine Edition of Survivor. This year could have been the Season 5. Instead, we will be watching the return of Extra Challenge with its new hosts -- Richard Gutierrez, Marian Rivera and the comic Boobay. Below is a teaser.

Ep#13. Gouge My Eyes Out.

Survivor Final 5. Credits CBS.

Skupin won the rewards challenge. He took with him Malcolm and Lisa to a dive with a Butanding (a whale shark). On the boat, Malcolm formed the final 3 alliance, putting Denise out of place. In the morning, Denise woke up with fang bites on her neck, causing severe burning sensation. Lisa and Skupin prayed over her. Denise, despite the injury, managed to play the immunity challenge. She almost made it but, fortune of fortunes, Malcolm once again won the immunity challenge even if he was very much behind the rest. He fell off during the challenge so he had to go back from the start.

Denise asked Malcolm if he would give the hidden immunity idol in case she would be in danger; but Malcolm assured that Skupin and Lisa would not keep Abi. Later Skupin and Lisa cooked Plan B – that was to keep Abi – a good move to assure them to final 3. Abi continued to play, convincing Lisa and Skupin that they would not make it if they would keep Malcolm and Denise.

At the tribal council, Abi continued to piss off the other remaining castaways. She called Skupin idiot and moron twice. Her foul mouth, probably, made Skupin and Lisa to change their minds. In the end, the final 4 alliance threw Abi out finally. Abi did not play her fake hidden immunity idol to the delight of Malcolm. How could she?

Skupin was jumping like Rumpeltstiltskin as he and the rest walked away from the tribal hut. Either he was happy because he made it to the final four, or the nega Abi was finally out of the island for good.

Analysis. Whoever makes it to the final three or two, the jury might favor Lisa against the rest, followed by Skupin, then Denise, and lastly Malcolm. Denise and Malcolm have disadvantaged points because there are no other ex-Monkey castoff in the jury.

Rule#13. If you have nothing good to say, keep your mouth shut.

Ep#12. Shot Into Smithereens.

The Final 6. Carter Williams in the middle. Credits CBS.

The Final 6 had a taste of emotions during the rewards challenge because their loved ones played with them. In a nick of time, Malcolm and his brother caught up to win the rewards by knocking first a set of bamboos. His brother stayed with him in the island. He picked Skupin and Lisa to share his rewards. Skupin's son and Lisa's son stayed with them in the island. It was Malcolm's way of thanking them for staying with him in the alliance. What he didn't know, Lisa brained to blindside him. She decided to play the game after her son made her realized that Survivor was only a game and encouraged her to play it without guilt.

Again, in a nick of time, Malcolm won the immunity challenge. It was neck to neck with Carter. Carter felt bad he didn't win this time. He knew he was in danger.

Abi, as usual, continued to annoy her fellow castaways. She just pushed them to the limits and made it easy for them to vote her out. However, with her phony immunity idol, the castaways were having second thoughts. Carter was honest enough to approach Malcolm and Skupin about their alliance's plan. Were they voting out Carter over Abi? Skupin honestly told him that they wanted Abi out. Unfortunately, Abi had an immunity idol and the castaways didn't know that it was a fake idol.

When Malcolm won the immunity, Lisa's plan just pfft. That happens when someone plans something nasty against people who are good to you. In the end, Carter suffered the consequences. Everyone voted against him. Even his only ally, Abby, voted him out. And guess what? Carter wrote Abi's name. Carter was at the wrong side of the game. He allied with a person who could not bring him on top. He could have entered an agreement with Malcolm's alliance to vote Abi out.

Analysis. Lisa planned to blindside Malcolm only for a reason that she wanted to get out of her naivete personality by playing the game. Why blindside an ally who would eventually become a jury that could vote against her in the end? Malcolm was celebrating early. He felt confident he would make it to the finals. He shouldn't be so sure.

Lisa has no reason to strategise. Whoever brings her to the final two makes her a sure winner so long as she remains nice. Abi, on the contrary, could strategize by convincing anyone to pair with her because whoever pairs with her is a sure winner for the reason that no jury would vote for her. But she should settle for a second place. Better than none.

Rule#12. Make sure you ally with a person who would and could bring you up to the top until the finals.

Ep#11. Hell Hath Frozen Over

At the rewards challenge, Jeff Probst auctioned food for the castaways. Denise and Skupin spent $500 each for a tray of food without a bat of an eyelid. The last piece to be auctioned was an advantage to the immunity challenge, to which Abi grabbed it as an opportunity bidding all $500.

In the immunity challenge, every one was surprised to learn Abi's advantage. Every one believed though that she wouldn't make it. Unfortunately for them, Abi won the immunity bracelet. What comes down, goes up. Abi was in shape. The situation put Penner in danger. Malcolm's alliance agreed to vote him out.

Abi, Penner, and Carter formed an alliance. They agreed to vote out Denise. Penner made a move to convince Skupin to vote out Malcolm. He also tried to convince Lisa not to vote him off.

In the end, Malcolm's alliance gained control. Penner was sent home.

Analysis. Carter and Abi are again on the brink of leaving the island. One of them should win the immunity. They should also try to break Malcolm's alliance. But that may not be possible because it looked solid. They are all nice people that blindsiding looks like not their cup of tea. Lisa is jury-friendly. She has a great advantage. Carter or Abi can convince Skupin to side them because he can have a better chance.

Rule#11. What goes up, comes down. There is no other way. Likewise, when you're down, the only way is to go up. Unless you choose to stay down. One can apply that to real life.

E#10. Whiners Are Weiners

Abi's only alliance, Pete, has been voted out. That leaves Abi very vulnerable. In the immunity challenge, Carter, Denise, and Skupin battled for the final round. Carter won the immunity bracelet. Pete didn't make it to the final round and that put him in danger knowing that in his alliance with Abi, there are only two of them against everyone. So, they made a move. They tried to persuade Skupin and some of the castaways but in the end, they failed.

Abi is a dramatic actress, trying to get sympathy from the rest. But she's a comedian as well. Not because of sense of humor (she doesn't have one) but just because. After the rewards challenge, Abi annoyed everyone as she talked non-stop about how she enjoyed the rewards.

Meanwhile, Malcolm, Denise, Skupin, and Lisa formed an alliance.

During the tribal council, every one was brutal to Abi. She found a new enemy in the person of Denise.

Analysis. Abi has to think wisely in order to stay in the game.

Rule#10. If you're nasty, every one is against you.

E#9. Little Miss Perfect

15 Nov 2012. In the last episode, Lisa felt bad playing the game. "It's [Survivor] too big for me," she said. Penner consoled her trying to explain that what she did was part of the game. It's a revelation that Penner could talk like a good counsel.

In the rewards challenge, the reward was school supplies that the winners had to bring for the children in the nearby fishing village. In return, for their gifts, the local villagers prepared festive food for them. The winning group - Malcolm, Denise, Carter, and Penner - enjoyed spending time with the villagers. "It's a life-shaping experience for me," Malcolm confessed.

To Lisa's surprise, Abi admitted to every one that she was unsure about Lisa's loyalty. Bad news for Tandang.

Artis Silvester, of all people, was sent out of the island. The castaways knew that Abi had the idol so Malcolm's group opted to vote out Artis. This is to weaken the original Tandang tribe. Artis may not be a good player but he's a good sport. On being voted out, he took it gracefully commenting that it was part of the game.

It seems that this batch of Survivor US had the nicest group of castaways, Abi and Pete excluded. If Abi didn't have the idol, she could have been out of the game, favoring Artis, who is a nice guy himself.

Rule #9. Maintain a solid and strong alliance. Stick with it. If one breaks away from it, he becomes an opportunity for the other alliances, making his former alliance a handicap.

Ep#8. Dead Man Walking

8 Nov 2012. Penner won the immunity to the disgust of the other castaways. Two factions existed: one to vote out Jeff, the other to vote out Pete. Six agreed to vote out Pete, but at the tribal council, one changed his mind. Jeff, a retired MLB player from Austin, Texas, was voted out.

Lisa started to make her move, revealing the secret that Malcolm had the immunity idol. Pete confronted Malcolm, which he denied. Pete told him that it was Lisa who told him. When asked by Lisa, Pete lied that he did not mention her name.

At the tribal council, it was an interesting one. It was like an open forum revealing each other's secret moves. Thanks to Ms. Honesty Lisa.

Rule #8. Don't show off your strength in individual challenges. Even if you come second, castaways will pick you as second choice.

Analysis. Two alliances were formed: those who voted out Pete and those who voted out Jeff. Penner stayed in the middle who voted out Abi. One of the factions should persuade Penner to join them. That will make Penner in the safe mode. Should there be a disagreement in either faction, it's going to be their loss.

E#7. Not The Only Actor On This Island

1 Nov 2012. Today, the Kalabaw and Tandang tribes merged -- two from the original Matsing tribe, six from the Tandang tribe, which has never been in a tribal council, and three from the Kalabaw tribe. In the immunity challenge, a test of strength and endurance, Denise, as the last woman standing, won the immunity necklace. Carter and Jeff, as the last 2 men standing, entered a trade off. Whoever gives up, owes one the other. Carter won the immunity necklace for the men's.

Three of the remaining castaways found in the previous episodes the hidden immunity idol -- Penner, Abi-Maria, and Malcolm. Some of the castaways wanted to get rid of Penner but they suspected that he had the immunity idol. The second choice was RC. They split their votes. Should Penner used the immunity, RC would be out. Exactly, that happened in the tribal council. Poor RC. The conspiracy against here led by Abi and Pete made her the first member of the jury.

Analysis. It's 5 vs 3 vs 2. If the survivors of each tribe remain solid, they could make it on top. Denise and Malcolm of the original Matsing are solid. Penner, Carter, and Jeff of the original Kalabaw are divided. Penner is an outcast. He is in danger especially that he already used his immunity idol. The original Tandang remains strong. Lisa, however, made a secret alliance with Denise and Malcolm after she accidentally found out that Malcolm possessed the immunity idol. Should Tandang find this out, Lisa would be in danger. If Penner would side with either the ex-Matsing or ex-Tandang, either Jeff or Carter would be in danger, unless the other tribes accepted Penner with crossed fingers. In such case, Penner is in danger.

Rule#7. Never tell anybody if you found the hidden immunity idol. It's meant to be hidden.

E#6. Down and Dirty

25 Oct 2012. Katie was sent off by the Kalabaw tribal council. The all-girls alliance was finally put to rest. In the rewards challenge, Penner negotiated with Michael -- let Kalabaw bring home the rewards in exchange of their supply of rice. For that reason, the challenge was boring. It could have been an exciting game if Jeff called the first match a draw. He could have called two girls for a second match. When Survivor Philippines (GMA) did that kind of challenge, it was intense and exciting.

It wasn't a fair trade. When Tandang went back to camp, the castaways were disappointed to find out that the rice supply of Kalabaw was barely 2 kilos.

Rule #6. If you're strong, you're a threat after the merge but an asset before the merge. If you're a likable person, you're also a threat after the merge but a liability before the merge. So, before the merge, prove to your tribe first that you're an asset rather than a liability.

Episode 5

Dawson is out of the game. She was considered the weakest link by her tribe mates.

The tribe Matsing was dissolved. Malcolm was added to Tandang while Denise became the new member of Kalabaw. No luck times 3. Dana felt so sick she dropped out. Kalabaw lost both the rewards and immunity challenges.

Rule #5. If a tribe is divided, it benefits the new member coming from the other tribe.

Episode 4

For the 4th time in a row, tribe Matsing did not bring home the immunity idol. Mr. "perfect" Russel amused his fellow castaways for expressing himself as the man of excellence and perfection. Ironically, he exhibited failure and weakness every now and then. Russel had to be sent home.

Rule #4. Humble yourself. Your fellow castaways will love you more.

Angie Layton (credits CBS)

Episode 3

It was strength versus friendship. Angie developed special friendship with Malcolm. During the immunity challenge, both Russel and Angie failed to deliver. Angie could not dive deeper to release the box of puzzle pieces; while Russel just gave up. Unfortunately, Matsing lost the immunity challenge. At the tribal council, both Russel and Angie were in danger but the tribe saved Russel. Angie had to leave.

Rule #3. Give your best shot in every immunity or reward challenge.

Episode 2

Roxy pissed off her fellow Matsing castaways. She didn't like Angie cuddling Malcolm at night while asleep. For the second time, Matsing lost the challenge. For annoying her fellow castaways, Roxy was evicted.

Rule #2. Survivor is a social game. Like in a community, be nice to your fellow castaways.

Pilot episode

Zane Knight (credits CBS)

Zane made an alliance to every castaway of the Matsing tribe. His mistake? He revealed his strategy to Malcolm. Zane's strategy backfired. He was the first one to be voted out in the first tribal council.

Rule #1. Do not play your strategy too early.

The castaways were divided into 3 tribes.

Kalabaw /pronounced kah-lah-BOW/, carabao, water buffalo.
Matsing /pronounced maht-CHING/, monkey.
Tandang /pronounced tahn-DAHNG/, rooster.

CBS's Survivor: Philippines Starts Airing Today

USA's Survivor 25th season starts airing today. For the Filipino fans, you can watch Survivor: Philippines both on Jack TV (cable) or NewsTV (free channel) at 2:00 PM. Replays on Thursday at 8:00 PM (JackTV) and Friday at 10:00 PM (NewsTV).

Shot in Caramoan Islands (Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Luzon), Jeff Probst described the location as "one of the most beautiful places in the world."

The new castaways are joined by former castaways Michael Skupin (Australian Outback 2001), Jonathan Penner (Micronesia 2008) and Russel Swan (Samoa 2009). These returnees were all medically evacuated due to injuries or illness.

Russel impressed me for making a fire quickly the Pinoy way - striking together two dried bamboos.

The logo, however, looks more like Vietnam than Philippines. A pinoy "bankero" usually wears only long pants that are folded up to the knees, shirtless, with no hat. Something like on the left photo (from the movie "Sagwan").

I hope Survivor USA would care to change the logo. :)

It's not fair that the Jury influenced the votes. If Survivor production allowed it, the jury of the next seasons will do it again.

KC was right. The two girls were stupid. They just made Betong the sole survivor.

Survivor is not about "awa", sad stories, iyakan, blah, blah, blah. KC deserves the title more than Betong, Stef, or Mara.

The Jury is like a corrupt government. It's a shame!

Bulan's Strategy Backfired

In the immunity challenge, the original tribe members of Bulan — Johnny, KC, Gino — tried to throw the game in favor of the opposing tribe Tala. That way, the three kings of Bulan would be able to vote out Arthur, a former Tala castaway. Also, if the new Tala tribe wins, the former Bulan castaways in the new Tala tribe would be able to vote one of the original Tala castaways. So, when the merge comes, 6 ex-Bulan would pit against 4 ex-Tala. Unfortunately, good fate favored Arthur and Betong. In their effort to intentionally not shoot their balls into the basket, Johnny's, KC's and Gino's balls found their way to the basket. As a result, the new Bulan tribe won the immunity challenge. Arthur and Betong are safe from being voted out.

The Quitters of Survivor Philippines

They quit on the 6th day - Jackie Foster and friend Angelicopter, Ellen Adarna and boyfriend Filo. They played smart that's why they quit. They wanted to be safe. What they didn't know, Maribel Lopez outsmart them for making them believe that the producers of Survivor Philippines were not treating them - the Tala tribe - fairly.

Maribel chose to join the Tala tribe with the aim to destroy the morale of the Tala tribe in favor of her daughter's tribe Bulan. She succeeded in bringing chaos to the Tala tribe. As a result, four Tala castaways quit Survivor Philippines.

Indeed, Maribel outwit them. On the other side of the island, members of Bulan did not perceive Maribel and Mara's accepting the immunity bracelets as something good for their tribe.

Geneva Cruz, ex-partner of KC Montero, ironically her partner in the Celebrity Doubles of Survivor Philippines Season 4, quits on the first day. She has been crying the whole day. "You don't love me anymore," she cries to KC. "You used me ... for the sake of 3 million pesos." "Wala na 'kong career." KC in return has been consoling her; but she can not be consoled because she refuses to be consoled.

Naawa naman ako kay KC. I think he's been trying to understand her. He was willing to quit in favor of Geneva. Maybe, Geneva has not moved on yet since her separation from KC. Marahil doon nag-uugat ang kanyang self-pity.

Amazing! World-class production! I wonder why award-giving bodies do not recognize such world-class production. Yes, it's not a Filipino original but still, it involves Pinoy talent, sweat, money, and creativity. The concept of "Isla Purgatoryo" was a Pinoy idea. Survivor US used this recently. And now, for the first time, Celebrity Doubles.

Survivor Philippines season 4 starts showing this November. It's Celebrity Edition once again but this time, it's Celebrity Doubles. Dingdong Dantes's cousins Arthur Solinap and Carlo Gonzalez pair together. Ex-couples KC Montero and Geneva Cruz also plays the doubles. Mother-daughter tandem Maria Isabel Lopez, a Bb. Pilipinas Universe beauty queen, joins with her daughter Mara Isabella Lopez, a surfer.

Redemption Island - Isla Purgatoryo

Before Survivor USA came up with the idea of Redemption Island, Survivor Philippines came out in it's second season the idea of Isla Purgatoryo, where the castaway voted out is sent to survive alone in that island. The next castoff, then battles with the current "resident" of the Isla Purgatoryo (purgatory island). Whoever wins the challenge, becomes the current resident of the island. He also enjoys whatever his tribe wins in any challenge. Whoever survives the Isla Purgatoryo becomes the surprise member of the merged tribe.

In a way, every castoff has a second chance to win the game and gets longer exposure in this reality program. In season 2 of Survivor Philippines, the first castoff was a transsexual. He beat all the other castoffs in Isla Purgatoryo. In the end, he became one of the final three.

There Goes Elma Muros

Aubrey's alliance sent Elma Muros home.

Elma played well. She understood the game. She tried to win the challenges though never won one. She's a team player both at challenges and at the camp.

When she was voted out, like Ahron, she didn't take it against the other castaways. That's good sportsmanship. Truly, she's an athlete of good sports.

Ahron Villena

Ahron is out of Galone. Even his friend Ervic voted him out of the tribe.

For me Ahron played the game well. He's not too nice socially; not too strong either in his performances. It just so happened that Aubrey's alliance was stronger than his'.

After Survivor, Ahron has maintained his friendship with Ervic and Moi. In a live chat a while ago, Ervic and Moi took time to join him.

Ahron Villena was a former talent of ABS-CBN. His move to GMA Network was a career choice. He currently models for Walker underwear.

Michelle Rejoins Her Boyfriend Jon

Michelle Madrigal

Michelle is the third member of the Jury. At last, she was voted out of the tribe. She was lucky to have survived for a few more days. Having no alliance as well, she's vulnerable. Her only alliance, Jon Hall, was voted out earlier.

The mistake of Jon and Michelle was that they were not friendly to their fellow tribal castaways. Again, they missed the point that Survivor is a social game. Had they been friendlier and a little less strong, they could have formed a genuine alliance with others. Unfortunately, their fellow tribe mates could not trust them.

During the tribal councils, Richard Gutierrez couldn't help to be objective. He, being a friend to Michelle, Jon, and Solenn, it's obvious that some of his questions during the tribal councils favored his friends.

I hope next time, none of Richard's friends could join Survivor as long as he is the host of this Number One reality show.

Aira - The Second Jury Member

Sexbomb's Aira Bermudez

Aira Bermudez, a member of the all-female dance crew "Sexbomb" is the second castaway to be voted out of the island and the tribe Galone.

Aira exhibited strength in previous challenges. Like Jon, she was a threat to other members. Having no alliance, her tribe voted her out. Her alliance, Karen de los Reyer, was voted out earlier even before the merge. Aira was lucky enough to have in her possession an immunity bracelet. For that reason, she survived until the merge.

Aira was bitter when she was voted out. She believed she was true to herself and possessed genuine good intentions. But her tribe was not convinced. Her tribe decided her fate.

In Survivor, you're safe if you're a team player. You become a threat when the tribes merge.

Jon is the First Member of the Jury

Jon Hall is the first castaway to be voted out of the merged tribe Galone. Being a strong contender, his ka-tribo voted him out of the island.

Jon believes he is playing Survivor well. He finds some castaways "idiot" for not playing the game well. A typical self-righteous or egotist believes that he cannot makes mistakes. The fate of Jon proves that no one can know everything and no one can control everyone.

What Jon missed to understand was that Survivor is a social game as well. It's not just about strength and endurance. To survive is to be around people. Often, castaways are stranded in an island. Survivor is a game that emulates the meaning behind "No Man Is An Island."

Mico and Ian in Double Elimination

Mico Aytona is out of Survivor Philippines; so is Ian Batherson in a double elimination tribal council. Twist after twist, to the surprise of all, both tribes had to vote one more outcast. Mico was formerly from Magan. His alliance, Solenn, voted him out as well. Perhaps, she's building a new alliance. Ian was from the original Nagar. The new Nagar had to vote him out in order to weaken the old Nagar alliance should a merge happens soon.

The double elimination was an opportunity for both tribes to vote out Jon Hall. When the merge happens, it would be more difficult to vote him out because Jon is a strong contender. Knowing he has the immunity bracelet, the tribes may have opted not to vote him out.

An Exciting Tribal Council at Survivor Philippines

Tonight will be an exciting Tribal Council. Who will be voted out of the Sar Mayee tribe tonight? Will it be Aubrey, Ervic, Michelle, Tisza, or Jon?

The only one coming from the old Nagar tribe, Jon and Michelle are vulnerable. For that reason, they persuaded Trisza, Akihiro, and Elma to join their alliance. Are Aki and Trisza willing to leave their own alliances from the original Sar Mayee? Elma Muros, being the only one from the defunct Magan tribe, is fortunate that she is not vulnerable considering that she has no any alliance.

Aubrey and Ervic are solid allies. Most likely, they'll vote out Michelle. Aubrey has an immunity bracelet. The remaining 5 may vote 3 Aubrey and 2 Ervic. If Aubrey use her immunity bracelet, Michelle ties with Ervic.

Elma, I think is safe. Her vote might be the deciding factor. Either she votes out Michelle or Trisza. Aki might vote out Trisza; and Trisza might vote out Michelle. Therefore, Michelle might get 4 votes, Tisza might get 1 votes, and Ervic, 2 votes. If Jon gives his immunity bracelet to Michelle, Ervic might be the 5th outcast.

A surprise might be Jon receiving 5 votes and Ervic 2. If Jon gives his immunity bracelet to Michelle, Jon is out; otherwise, Ervic is out.

Ervic is the most vulnerable. In different scenarios, he's in danger. If Aubrey makes the wrong move of not using her immunity bracelet or giving it to Ervic, then she's in danger. Michelle is also in danger unless Jon gives his immunity bracelet. Jon is also in danger unless he uses his immunity bracelet. Trisza is also vulnerable because Jon and Michelle might vote him off instead of Ervic for the reason that he didn't accept Jon's offer to join his alliance.

Karen is Out

Karen, the funny "taray" queen, of Sarmayee tribe was voted out in the fourth tribal council. This is the first Sarmayee tribal council.

All the members of the three tribes were reshuffled into two tribe - Nagar and Sar Mayee - dissolving the Magan tribe. Solenn and Mico of the former Magan became Nagar castaways. Elma was chosen for Sar Mayee. Jon and Michelle, formerly of Nagar, were picked for Sar Mayee. Jon and Michelle, an alliance, looked vulnerable with a majority of the original Sar Mayee. Jon, however, a strong contender, always make the tribe win in any challenge.

Who will be the next castaway to leave Survivor Philippines?

Buhawi is Out

The third member of Magan tribe has been voted out by his fellow tribe members. Buhawi, a bandmember of Parokya ni Edgar, was the tribe leader of Magan. In the first tribal council, he had the sole power to vote out any castaway in his tribe. He voted out Doc Ferdz, a strong member of Magan. His tribe believed that he made the wrong decision. For that reason, the remaining members of Magan unanimously voted him out.

The remaining Magan members are Solenn Heusaff, Mico Aytona, and Elma Muros.

Myka is Out

Myka is out. She didn't survive physically, emotionally, and socially. Magan tribe lost the immunity challenge the second time straight. Looks like Buhawi made a mistake in voting out Doc Ferdz.
