With every new generation of network technology, how we use it to communicate also changes. In the 2G and 3G eras, the focus was on connecting people through calls, texts, and simple mobile data.
The 5G era expanded to the internet of things and industrial automation. Now, the upcoming 6G generation will focus on connecting everything in even more innovative ways. With speeds measured in Tb/s and almost zero delay, 6G could make human productivity limitless.
In this article, we are going to explore how moving from 5G to 6G will reshape your devices and your daily life.

5G in Simple Words (30 Seconds to Understand)

5G stands for the fifth generation of mobile networks. It is the one powering most new smartphones today. It was built to be much faster than 4G, handle more devices at the same time, and respond almost instantly when you tap, click, or stream.
The first significant change with 5G is speed. In ideal conditions, it can be many times faster than 4G. For example, a full HD movie can be downloaded in seconds instead of minutes.
The second change with the 5G network is latency. It’s the time it takes for data to travel. With 5G, this delay is so slight you won’t notice it. So, making video calls, gaming, and live streaming feel smoother than ever.
The third significant change with the 5G network is the capacity to connect far more devices at the same time without losing performance. Even in crowded places like stadiums or concerts, 5G can keep thousands of devices connected without slowing down.

Think of a 5G network like this: if 4G is a highway with three lanes, 5G is a superhighway with ten lanes. More lanes mean more cars can travel quickly without traffic jams. That’s why 5G feels faster, smoother, and more reliable.

How 6G Will Change Your Devices

6G will make devices faster and smarter than anything we have used before. This next generation will link your phone, car, home, and healthcare devices in ways that feel effortless.

The speed and intelligence of 6G will let technology work quietly in the background, so every action feels instant. Here are some of the most common ways the 6G network could be used:

Mobile Phone or Tablet

With the 6G network, your phone or tablet could download a full HD movie in less than a second. The network will also manage power more efficiently, helping your battery last longer throughout the day.
This means you’ll be able to have more time streaming, gaming, and working without worrying about constant charging.

AR and VR Headsets

With 6G, AR and VR headsets will feel completely real, with no visible lag or motion blur. You could explore a museum on the other side of the world in real time, as if you were walking through it yourself.
Companies like Meta are already developing mixed reality experiences. These experiences can feel almost natural, immersive, and seamless.

In Cars

6G will let vehicles communicate instantly with each other and with road systems. A Tesla or Waymo could detect a hazard far ahead and adjust before you even notice. This instant coordination will help make roads safer and driving more efficient.

Healthcare Devices

Hospital-level care could reach your home through 6G-enabled medical technology. A Philips Healthcare robot might allow a surgeon to operate from thousands of miles away without delay.
Wearable devices could also track your health in real time. It will help alert your doctor before any symptoms appear.

Smart Homes

Homes will respond to you without a single command, thanks to 6G technology. Lights, appliances, heating, and security systems will work together instantly, adapting to your habits. You might not even notice the network itself, only the smooth and perfectly timed results.

5G vs 6G: The Big Differences

5G already feels fast, yet 6G will push wireless technology even further. While 5G delivers high speed, low latency, and connects billions of devices, 6G will bring advanced intelligence and real-time features like holographic communication.

Current 5G networks use frequencies up to 100 GHz, while 6G will move into the terahertz (THz) range. This shift will unlock massive bandwidth, enabling terabit-per-second speeds with near-instant response times.
As a result, device density will grow from millions to tens of millions per square kilometer. It can even allow entire cities to function as seamlessly connected systems.

Here is a comparison to show the main difference between 5G and 6G:

5G

6G

Launch: 2019–2020

Launch: ~2030

Speed: Up to 10 Gbps

Speed: Up to 1 Tbps

Latency: ~1 ms

Latency: <0.1 ms

Frequency: Up to 100 GHz

Frequency: Up to 1 THz

Density: ~1M devices/km²

Density: Tens of millions devices/km²

AI: Partial optimization

AI: Fully AI-driven

Capabilities: IoT, VR/AR, industry

Capabilities: Holograms, smart sensing, digital twins

Challenges of 6G (What Could Slow It Down)

While 6G promises incredible speed and intelligence, it also faces real challenges before becoming part of everyday life. The technology is still in development, and solving these hurdles will be the key to its success.
One of the most significant issues is the shorter range of terahertz (THz) signals. As these signals do not travel far, networks will need many more antennas and base stations to provide consistent coverage. This could be harder in rural or remote areas.

Another challenge is the higher energy use that comes with powering so many devices and towers. Groups like Greenpeace are calling for greener technology to make sure 6G does not increase environmental impact. This means using energy-efficient equipment and relying more on renewable power sources.

Privacy & data security are also significant concerns. The risk of cyberattacks grows with millions of devices connected in real time. Global research alliances like the Beyond 5G Promotion Consortium and the 6G-IA are already started working to build stronger protections for the next generation of networks.

Final Thoughts

6G will be about intelligence, not just speed. The next generation of wireless technology will connect devices faster and make them work together in more innovative and seamless ways. Every day life could feel more connected than ever, with technology quietly supporting our needs in the background.

By 2030, 6G may be as essential as the internet is today. We might look back and wonder how we ever managed without it. Major telecom companies and governments around the world are already investing heavily in research to develop 6G technology.

Disassembly Preparation:

We need some tools and an SBH56 Wireless Headset before starting the procedure. The check-list is given below,

A SBH56 Bluetooth Headset

The Bluetooth Headset must be turned off

1.5 mm star screwdriver

a pin injector

a Tweezer

Disassembly Process:

Step 01: Remove pin:

This Bluetooth Headset works like a clip to hang with a t-shirt or shirt. There is a pin on the clipping side (the downside of the Bluetooth headset), which we need to remove. Here, the Green color denotes the pin and the Purple color indicates the direction in which the pin should be removed. After removing the pin, we’ll find a spring that puts pressure on the t-shirt or shirt to hang tightly.

We’ll also find a paper after removing that pin and the handle. We need to remove that paper with the help of Tweezer to find out the Screw.

Step 02: Remove two white screws:

There are two silver color screws under the paper. The Green color denotes the screws and the spring and the Purple color denotes the screw position from where we must remove them with the help of a 1.5 mm Screwdriver.

Step 03: Remove the speaker grill/protector:

There is also a hidden srew under the speaker protector of the top side of the SBH56 Bluetooth Headset.

We must carefully remove the speaker protector with the help of a Tweezer from there. Here, the Purple color denotes the position of the speaker protector, whereas the Green color denotes the Speaker protector.

Step 04: Remove one black Screw:

We’ll find another screw with black color under the speaker protector. We need to remove that Screw, too, with the help of a 1.5 mm Screwdriver. Here, the Green color denotes the Screw and the Purple color denotes the position of the Screw.

These are all three screws that can be accessible outside of this Bluetooth headset. Now, it’s time to discover the inside machine. Please follow the Step 05 for that.

Step 05: Pull out the inside circuit:

Again, the SBH56 is now showing with the downside in the displaying image. Place it the same way. Now, we need to remove the speaker cover (which was under the speaker protector.

In this image, on the right side, green denotes the speaker cover, which is actually plastic and built with black color. The purple color indicates the direction in which to pull that speaker cover. We must pull it carefully so that it won’t be broken.

The Inner section (the whole functional hidden machine) is displayed on the left side of the image. The Purple color denotes the direction to pull. We push it from the other side (right side). Green indicates the circuit/ main machine.

Discover What Inside:

After disassembling the Sony SBH56 Bluetooth Headset, we’ll find a machine with a Golden color antenna, NFC coil, and a few buttons. There are more screws. Those screws can be removed to replace the battery or any bad parts.

Let’s look closer, it’s a shiny NFC coil with a golden antina and a button.

On the opposite side, we can see the main chip with connectors, a microphone, a speaker, and many registers and capacitors. The NFC connector is connected with a clip, whereas other connections are attached to the soldering with the main board. There are two more black screws; by removing these, the whole board can be disclosed.

Let’s look closer.

That’s all for today! I love disassembling electronic devices. This article is based on the SBH56 Disassembly Process, which is a small effort from me. I searched Google and YouTube to find out the proper process. However, I didn’t find the appropriate instructions. I introduced myself to some people in some community groups who destroyed their devices because they did not know the full process. So, I decided to publish this as an article and here it is.

When you find a piece of code, does it seem more evil than helpful as Jolly Joke? The Hey Idiot! Loop is a humorous sample that may be enjoyable for programmers and non-programmers. This piece of code from a special application and its operation may be examined as fun.

How the “Hey Idiot!” the Jolly Joke Loop Came About

Envision being occupied with a never-ending sequence of message boxes that read Hey Idiot! while you are assiduously coding at your computer. This is the signature of a joke code known as the Hey Idiot! Loop, which adds humor to the otherwise severe programming field.

Deciphering the Code

Let’s look at how the Hey Idiot! Loop works.

Step 01: Writing Code:

First, open a code editor that is familiar to you. Here, I’m using the Notepad application as a reference. Then, please write a short code that I shared in the article exactly as given. You may write anything in the quote section. Whatever you write in the quote will be displayed.

do
Msgbox "Hey Idiot!"
loop

I’m using the do loop command in VBScript where the Hey Idiot! will be displayed.

Step 02: Save the VBScript file:

Save the newly written file with the .vbs extension. Please check the screenshot as a reference.

Now, it looks like this.

Step 03: Run the code:

Dubble-click the left button of your mouse to run the file. And boom… You’ll find a small window where the Hey Idiot will be displayed, as in the following screenshot.

Observation of the program:

The small window we have already gotten by running the application won’t be closed. For instance, you may attempt to close that window repeatedly, but you consistently fail to do so.

The machine appears to be hacked. But the truth is that it is only a toy trap.

Solve the problem

To close that small window, open the Task Manager and follow the following steps.

Task Manager > Processes > Apps (on the Name column)> Microsoft ® Windows Based Script Host > Right click > End Task

The More Fun Aspect of Programming

Even though seasoned programmers might be surprised by the Hey Idiot! Loop, it has a humorous function in the world of coding. It adds a whimsical touch to the process while providing a break from the rigorous debugging and optimization tasks.

Accepting what is not expected.

The Hey Idiot! Loop reminds us that programming involves accepting the unexpected in addition to logic and accuracy. It encourages programmers to think creatively and humorously when solving difficulties.

In conclusion, even though the Hey Idiot! Loop is unusual; it perfectly captures the lighthearted nature of programming. It reminds us to enjoy the process of learning to code and welcome any unforeseen detours encountered. Thus, the next time you come across this playful excerpt, pause to acknowledge the joy it offers the programming community. After all, even the most intimidating coding sessions can be considerably more bearable with some fun.

If you are a content creator on Meta’s platforms, this article is for you. Today, we are going to discuss Meta’s feature, which is the Facebook Sound Collection. We won’t face copyright-related issues by using music from here for our projects. It’s free with a ton of music collection, even if you’ll need sound effects from Spaceship.

Let’s discover it together!

What is the Facebook Sound Collection?

Facebook Sound Collection is a place or a music store from where Facebook users can download & use any copyright-free music for their content without spending a single penny. Any people from the Internet can use music, sound effects, and songs from here in their projects only on Meta’s platforms.

So, if you’re considering using pieces of music from here to create content for YouTube or other platforms that are not digital platforms from Meta, then Facebook Sound Collection is the wrong place for you.

How can I get access to the Facebook Sound Collection?

A Facebook account is required to download the music content from the Facebook Sound Collection. Before visiting the following link, the user has to log in to Facebook.

AlmaLinux is becoming popular day by day for the server-side OS. Besides, cGroups v2 plays a significant role in managing resources! Based on the necessity to have cGroups v2 enabled in AlmaLinux, today we will learn how to enable cGroups v2 in AlmaLinux 9.

What’s the use of cGroups v2?

cGroups v2 is the next version of the Linux cGroups API. cGroups v2 provides a unified control system with advanced resource management capabilities. It’s a kernel feature that helps to limit resource usage (CPU, memory, disk, I.O, etc.) for different users/accounts.

How to enable cGroups v2 in AlmaLinux 9?

AlmaLinux 9 supports cGroups v2. Sometimes, the cGroups v2 may be disabled. At that time, we’ll need to enable it to get its benefits.

Before starting, please check the NOTES section first. By following the process, let’s check whether cGroups v2 is enabled.

Step 01: Checking whether cGroups v2 is enabled or not:

We can find out if the cGroups v2 is enabled or not by the following command:

stat -fc %T /sys/fs/cgroup

If cGroups v1 is enabled and the cGroups v2 is disabled, then it will show below output:

As here, cGroups v2 is disabled; we need to enable it by following the next steps.

Step 02: Modifying grub:

Using the following command, we can edit the grub file.

nano /etc/default/grub

Now need to append the “ systemd.unified_cgroup_hierarchy=1 ” in “GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=” line

Now, we need to save it by CTRL+O & then ENTER. We are losing it by CTRL+X.

Step 03: Executing the modified grub file:

Using the following command, we have to execute the modified grub file:

grub2-mkconfig

Also, we need to use the following command:

yum update

Step 04: Restarting the system:

Now, we need to restart the system manually or using the following command:

reboot

Step 05: Rechecking if cGroups v2 is enabled or not:

After rebooting the system, we need to recheck whether cGroups v2 is enabled using the command we executed in STEP 01. If the cGroups v2 is enabled, the following output will be displayed.

ALL DONE!

Notes

root user access must be required for this process.

To use nano, we must install it before using this feature. By default, nano is not installed in AlmaLinux 9. So, before going through the STEP 02 process, use nano is installed.

Fail2ban is an open-source & free intrusion prevention system. It’s used to protect the server system against brute-force attacks. Fail2ban monitors the SSH log files for authentication attempts continuously. It’s banned the client IP after a specified number of incorrect password attempts. It is also used for securing SSH, VSFTPD, Apache and Webmin. Today, we’ll learn how we can install and configure Fail2ban in AlmaLinux 9

Before starting the tutorial, ensure that your server is running with AlmaLinux 9 & you have the root access to install and configure Fail2ban in AlmaLinux 9 server.

Step 01: Need to verify whether the Firewalld is installed/enabled or not:

Firewalld is a Firewall management tool that comes pre-installed in AlmaLinux 9.

systemctl status firewalld

If your firewall is running, it’ll show “active (running)”, & it’s not running, then it’ll show “inactive (dead)” under the Active section.

● firewalld.service - firewalld - dynamic firewall daemon
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/firewalld.service; disabled; vendor preset: enabled)
   Active: inactive (dead)
     Docs: man:firewalld(1)

To start the Firewall service, use the following command.

systemctl start firewalld

Now, recheck the status using the following command.

systemctl status firewalld

The output should be like this:

● fail2ban.service - Fail2Ban Service
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/fail2ban.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: active (running) since Tue 2023-09-19 17:49:15 UTC; 12s ago
     Docs: man:fail2ban(1)

           └─306465 /usr/bin/python3.6 -s /usr/bin/fail2ban-server -xf start

Now, watch all the services as list configured by the firewall using the following command:

firewall-cmd --list-all

The output will be like this:

public (active)

  icmp-block-inversion: no
  interfaces: enp3s0
  sources:
services: cockpit dhcp dhcpv6-client ftp https imap imaps pop3 pop3s smtp smtps ssh

  protocols:
  forward: no
  masquerade: no
  forward-ports:
  source-ports:
  icmp-blocks:
  rich rules:

Step 02: Install Fail2ban:

The Fail2Ban package is not available in AlmaLinux 9 repositories. So, we need to install this from the EPEL repository.

Use the following command to install the EPEL repository.

dnf install epel-release -y

After installing the EPEL repository, we need to install the Fail2Ban by using the following command:

dnf install fail2ban fail2ban-firewalld -y

After installing the package, we need to activate & run it.

Step 03: Active & Enable the Fail2Ban Package:

Using the following command, we can activate the Fail2Ban in AlmaLinux 9:

systemctl start fail2ban

Time to enable the Fail2Ban by using this command:

systemctl enable fail2ban

Time to check whether the Fail2Ban is enabled or not!

systemctl status fail2ban

The output will show like this:

fail2ban.service - Fail2Ban Service
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/fail2ban.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: active (running) since Tue 2023-09-19 17:49:15 UTC; 12s ago
     Docs: man:fail2ban(1)
Main PID: 306465 (fail2ban-server)

           └─306465 /usr/bin/python3.6 -s /usr/bin/fail2ban-server -xf start

Step 03: Configure Fail2Ban

The main configuration file name is jail.conf for Fail2Ban & located at /etc/fail2ban/. To configure the Fail2Ban, we’ll need to use this file.

It’s always safe to keep a backup of the default file.

Using the following command, we’ll keep the default file as a backup file. The name of this file will be jail.conf.back.

cp /etc/fail2ban/jail.conf /etc/fail2ban/jail.conf.back

As Fial2Ban uses the IPtables firewall, we need to enable the Firewalld support using the following command:

mv /etc/fail2ban/jail.d/00-firewalld.conf /etc/fail2ban/jail.d/00-firewalld.local

Now, we need to restart the Fail2Ban by using the following command:

systemctl restart fail2ban

Step 04: Secure SSH with Fail2Ban

Now, we need to configure Faild2Ban to block remote IPs. Here, we’ll create a jail configuration file to keep SSH secured using the following command:

Nano should be installed on your server. Otherwise, you may use vim.

nano /etc/fail2ban/jail.d/sshd.local

Add the following lines in it:

[sshd]
enabled = true
maxretry = 3
bantime = 3h

Here,

[ssh] is used to enable Fail2Ban for SSH.

enable = true means this configuration is enabled.

maxretry = 3 means the system will block any IP after three incorrect attempts.

bantime = 3h means the blocked IP gets banned for 3 hours.

Now, we need to save the file using CTRL+O & Enter and close it using CTRL+X. Now, it is time to restart the Fail2Ban service.

systemctl restart fail2ban

We have to check whether the Fail2Ban is configured or not using the following command:

fail2ban-client status

The output has to be:

Status
|- Number of jail:	1
`- Jail list:	sshd

Congratulations! We have successfully installed & configured Fail2Ban in AlmaLinux 9.

Some Useful Commands

To check banned IPs, use the following command:

fail2ban-client status sshd

Output:

|- Filter
| |- Currently failed:	1
| |- Total failed:	33
| `- Journal matches:	_SYSTEMD_UNIT=sshd.service + _COMM=sshd

   |- Total banned:	4
   `- Banned IP list:	95.214.55.115 114.241.102.79 218.92.0.102

To unban the IP Address, use the following command:

fail2ban-client unban <ip-address>

NB. These commands can be installed and configured Fail2Ban on any Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) based Linux distros.
