Are you getting 403 Forbidden error, ww7.sss.gov.ph uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)? This is not the first time I tried to access this government website. The new improved design and functionaliy of the website seems not working at all in fact the old which is simple and less social site seems to be working and never had an issue accessing my inquriy link is the most important link on the site.

Here are the common issue on the site. Typing on the link directly on the browser will not show the sss.gov.ph it will redirect you to another site that address and tell you to click here. Once on the site new look will show up facebook, google and pinterest button is up, member log in page is showing but once you log in and navigate to the page common issue that you might encounter: 403 Forbidden error : Connection is Untrusted etc .

Why do we need the SSS.gov.ph website?
Every employed Filipino is mandated to have a contribution and being deducted every month for their social security system and in return you can apply for loan and other benefits provided . The supposed to be up and running a website will give us entree to our contribution, loan status and hassle of travelling to any SSS branch. I need an SOA Statement of account since I recently got hired and for my new employer to deduct my remaining balance they asked me to submit it. Error shows up while clicking on Inquriy I did tried all the necesarry troubleshooting but no luck.

How I got to Print my SSS balance (SOA)
Website takes time to load and Inquiry will give bunch of error, desperate and frustrated I keep on waiting and clicking on the same link until It shows up although I was not able to print it since print link will give you the same error message. I did a screen shot and paste it on paint and using corel draw I was able to create a document and print it.

Okay steps might be complicated for basic computer user but the only issue is itunes is not connecting to the Internet even you can access different site and Internet is working fine. So how to resolve the issue is there a way to resolve this? I will show you the steps on how to edit the host file.

Make sure itunes is not running.

Look for the host file if your on Windows here is the path: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts for Windows and for Mac :/etc/hosts

Host file can be open on a notepad or any text editor make sure your on Admin to edit the file.

Add the following text on the host file

Connect your iPhone to the computer

Open up iTunes

Put your iPhone/iPad/iPod into DFU mode by the following steps.

The suggested fix might resolved the issue but in case after all trying the steps and still getting the aw, snap error you can try the troubleshooting that I have.

Exit Google Chrome completely.

Enter the keyboard shortcut Windows key +E to open Windows Explorer.

In the Windows Explorer window that appears enter the following in the address bar.

Windows XP: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\

Windows Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\

Locate the folder called "Default" in the directory window that opens and rename it as "Backup default."

Try opening Google Chrome again. A new "Default" folder is automatically created as you start using the browser. Creating the profile will reset the browser to factory default.

Need fast response a Quad Core processor will do it all for this tab is fast scrolling and navigation. Nice design that you can compare to an ipad Mini. Good for gaming because of the processor

Cons:

There are apps that consume memory pre installed app. The battery level is mid and can survive a day with out heavy use.

Tools to fix the issue for pattern attempts and hard reset on Starmobile Engage 7

Good thing while surfing the Internet and being a member of a phone and computer forum I bumped into one of a file that it’s called Android Multi Tool I have the tool posted here for download. (credit to the developer.) What you need to run this tool is a USB cable to connect your Android device, a computer and of course your Android device

1. Download and extract the Tool in RAR file
2. Once you extract the file look for the filename (Android Multi Tools v1.02b gsmforum.exe)
3. Run the application

Here are some options that you can select on the Multi Tool

1. Check Device – To check if the Android device is detected by the computer if not check for drivers or try using different USB ports
2. Reset Gmail - Too Many Pattern Attempts issue will be resolved by this option (phone will reboot)
3. Wipe Data – A Factory reset/restore option for the phone

Try the tool at your own risk it worked for me Starmobile Engage is back to normal after factory reset. Any question or feed back are welcome

Boot loop a term than is used by an Android user when you’re phone suddenly restart or booting simultaneously. It happened to my friend with Cherry Mobile Jelly after installing some third party application. Let’s list some possible cause of boot loop on Cherry Mobile Jelly.

Installing an official or custom ROM - We all know that rooting and modifying something means changing how the OS works incompatible ROM will cause bootloops.

Flashing a wrong ROM or Kernel – This Is not advisable because it might void the phone warranty make sure you know the ROM and its compatible with the phone before flashing it

Running an incompatible app or game – Downloading app that is not compatible on the phone, most of the games and application are on Google Play stores make sure to review the apps before installing it.

Installing a custom mod or theme – Just like downloading incompatible app theme uses a lot of resources installing it might cause boot loops
If an application is the cause of your boot loop you can enter SAFE MODE on your Cherry Mobile Jelly. Just like your Windows computer Safe mode is also an option on your Android and here’s how:

1.)turn off your phone
2.)press power button to turn it on
3.) Once CM logo appear press the volume down key

The Flare 2x was released last year 2013 and continuing to gain popularity on Cherry Mobile brand because of the tag “dual core ng bayan” for CM flare. I haven’t encountered any major issue on my Flare 2X only taking a simple screen shot when playing games. Using the simple button Home and Switch you can capture the screen of your phone in an instant it works fine on application like Facebook, WeChat and home but its not working while playing games. The games that I usually play are Clash of Clans, NBA and any HD games. Although sometimes you might capture the screen if you’re lucky enough to press and have the perfect timing but it’s a bit annoying trying it multiple times.
Solution: First method is the manual method using the Home and Switch (practice is the key on doing this method)
2nd Method is using an application like Screenshot V 2.8 a useful android application that I found on a forum site. The app is for 2.1 up OS the image below will show the option for the app. You can get the application here.

Hard reset on Iview 754 TPC Tablet

I’m dealing with this tablet an Iview 754TPC got this as a birthday present and unfortunately since I’m not using the tablet most of the time I forgot the password. Multiple incorrect tries will result to the very famous Android message “Too Many Pattern Attempts” and asking for the Gmail account. Online tutorials and how to are everywhere but none works for me. Before we proceed let’s first take a look at the Iview 754TPC

Looking up to Google and there are a lot of suggestion on how to solve Too Many Pattern Attempts some need a computer to reboot it or restore to factory/hard reset others just use the key combination but the problem is the boot recovery screen shows Chinese character. Good for you if you do understand the character. Let’s take a look on the 754 TPC Tablet recovery screen instruction with picture.
1. Power off the tablet

2. AT THE SAME TIME - Hold the Back Key button (one with the arrow make to press the button close to the power not in the middle) and the POWER BUTTON. – be patient this make take a while

3. When the android appears let go of only the POWER BUTTON

4. A screen should appear with multiple options in Chinese. Press number 2

*If this doesn’t work press the back key one time and try again.

5. A screen appears with four boxes at the top and two at the bottom

Focusing on the top four boxes press the FIRST BOX ON THE SECOND ROW ( bottom left box)

6. Then press the GREEN Chinese character at the bottom of the page

7. A screen appears with four boxes at the top and two at the bottom

8. The tablet should turn off

9. Wait a couple of minutes before turning the tablet back on.
