<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Where does God send a man who was born in Colorado and earned degrees in Arkansas and Tennessee? This is the story of Robert Meyer, whose proficiency in Portuguese and decade of service in Angola have lead his family toward a focused ministry in Boston. A life that involves adoption, college students, and bird watching. Reflecting God’s word in Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He makes all things beautiful in its time.”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Robert Meyer leads the Boston University Navigators team for their ministry to international students. He and his wife Teague and their sons Efesson and Biruk served as church planters in Angola for ten years with a church denomination (Igreja de Cristo em eng Angola) where he taught theology in churches and an evangelical seminary. Robert graduated from Harding University and Harding School of Theology with his bachelor’s in Bible and Ministry and a Master of Divinity, respectively.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You may have heard of running a marathon. But have you ever heard of running a complete marathon while juggling? Dr. Jesse Joyner is one of the few people in the world to ever achieve that feat. He has also juggled a running chainsaw while managing to keep all toes, fingers, and limbs. He performs because he received God’s call and as in Ephesians 4:1, he walks in a manner worthy of that calling.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dr. Jesse Joyner is a professional entertainer who uses comedy, juggling, audience participation, unicycling, and balancing to provide clean fun for audiences of all ages. He performs nationwide at theaters, festivals, schools, libraries, camps, and other various community events. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">How does a boy who grew up in Japan as a missionary kid one day become a professor at Harvard Law School? What are pressures that missionary kids face? How do understanding another culture and knowing a language fluently shape a person’s outlook? This is the story of Mark Ramseyer. A life of discovery, sensitivity, and a courageous spirit. When Psalm 31:24 says, “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” Mark responds with a clear, “Yes.”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">J. Mark Ramseyer is the Mitsubishi Professor of Japanese Legal Studies at Harvard Law School. He spent most of his childhood in provincial towns and cities in southern Japan, attending Japanese schools for K-6. He returned to the U.S. for college. Before attending law school, he studied Japanese history in graduate school. Ramseyer graduated from Harvard Law School in 1982.</p>

<div>Michel Eyquem de Montaigne said, &#8220;The value of life lies not in the length of days, but in the use we make of them. A man may live long yet live very little.&#8221; Our guest is making full use of all his days.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Jim Daly is president of Focus on the Family and host of its National Radio Hall of Fame-honored daily broadcast, heard by more than 2.9 million listeners a week on more than 1,000 radio stations across the U.S. Jim&#8217;s personal journey from orphan to head of an international Christian organization dedicated to helping families thrive is a powerful story. Abandoned by his alcoholic father at age 5, Daly lost his mother to cancer four years later – a wound deepened when his grieving stepfather emptied the family home and took off with almost everything while Jim, the youngest of five children, and his siblings were at their mother&#8217;s funeral.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Several tough years in foster care followed, before Jim Daly became a Christian in high school and found meaning, purpose and a sense of belonging. &#8220;I am living proof,&#8221; he wrote in his 2007 autobiography, Finding Home, &#8220;that no matter how torn up the road has already been, or how pothole-infested it may look ahead, nothing – nothing – is impossible for God.&#8221; Daly assumed the presidency of Focus on the Family in 2005 after 16 years with the ministry. He started his career in 1989 as an assistant to the president, where his primary duties were fostering relationships with supporters. When the International Department was created in 1992, Daly was appointed field director for Asia, Africa and Australia. In 1997, he was promoted to vice president of the International Division.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Jim Daly earned additional responsibilities in 2003 when he was named group vice president, charged with directing the strategic path of the organization. In 2004, he was appointed chief operating officer, the role he held until he was hand-picked by Focus on the Family founder Dr. James Dobson to be the ministry&#8217;s president. He is a graduate of California State University, San Bernardino, earning a B.S. in Business Administration in 1984. During his senior year of study, he attended Waseda University in Tokyo. After graduating, Daly worked in the private sector for a FORTUNE 500 company. In 1997, Daly completed his MBA in International Business at Regis University in Denver. In 2009, he received an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Colorado Christian University in Denver.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Daly&#8217;s second book, Stronger, was released in August 2010. It discusses in depth the ways God works through tragedy in the lives of His people. Daly was born in 1961 and has been married to his wife, Jean, since 1986. They have two sons and reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Proverbs 30:2 &#8220;Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.&#8221;</div>
