Press Release

This spring…MI-6’s most dangerous master assassin is outgunned and on the run…as the lethal Roku re-emerges to destroy Colin King’s life from the inside out!

Valiant is proud to present your first look inside NINJAK #14 – the FIRST ISSUE of “THE SIEGE OF KING’S CASTLE” from New York Times best-selling writer Matt Kindt (4001 A.D.) and explosive artist Diego Bernard (X-O MANOWAR)! On April 16th, the adventures of Valiant’s elite super-spy leap into action here with an ALL-NEW JUMPING-ON POINT pitting Ninjak against a gauntlet of cruelty and deception orchestrated by the one and only Roku – the cunning criminal mastermind with a mysterious tie to his own classified training and origin! As the secrets of their shared past threaten to come roaring back into the light of day, Roku will lead a merciless campaign to destroy every aspect of her sworn enemy’s existence, beginning with the man behind the mask – international financier Colin King! Stripped of the wealth, technology, and resources that he once relied upon, will anything – or anyone – Ninjak ever cared for survive Roku’s soul-shattering onslaught of revenge and retribution?

Colin King, the feared MI-6 intelligence operative codenamed Ninjak, has confronted his past. He’s survived the gauntlet of the Shadow Seven. He’s walked into the Deadside and returned a changed man. Now his greatest trial yet will come to pass as the ruthless assassin called Roku returns to lay siege to Ninjak’s present and future by destroying his identity, his fortune, and his family – and only the death of Colin King will stop her.

In the aftermath of “OPERATION: DEADSIDE”, the next great Valiant epic of 2016 starts here as Matt Kindt and Diego Bernard unleash a game-changing gauntlet of deadly surprises for “THE SIEGE OF KING’S CASTLE” – beginning in NINJAK #14! Featuring covers by Jelena Kevic-Djurdjevic (Thor), Mike Choi (X-Force), Jeffrey Veregge (Red Wolf), Clayton Henry (HARBINGER WARS), Andres Guinaldo (Justice League Dark), and Matt Kindt (Mind MGMT), the darkest days of Colin King’s short and bloodied life are about to begin when “THE SIEGE OF KING’S CASTLE” takes hold…only in NINJAK #14!

Plus: Before Ninjak’s world is torn apart brick by brick, follow his latest international assignment in “THE KILL LIST” – a cloak-and-dagger action epic continuing on March 23rd in X-O MANOWAR #45! Dispatched by MI-6 to dismantle a Vine terror cell before its next devastating attack, Ninjak is re-teaming with Earth’s alien-armored guardian – the unstoppable X-O Manowar – to locate their next target…and terminate with extreme prejudice! New York Times best-selling writer Robert Venditti (WRATH OF THE ETERNAL WARRIOR) and rising star Robert Gill (BOOK OF DEATH) pit Ninjak and X-O Manowar against the insidious agents of the alien conspiracy that first brought them together for the next can’t-miss chapter of “THE KILL LIST” in X-O MANOWAR #45!

Press Release

Earth is about to meet a new god…and she’s a Communist. This spring…the nations of Earth will prepare to bend before DIVINITY as Valiant’s sold-out sci-fi sensation returns with an all-new prestige format limited series!

In advance of the 10th Annual ComicsPRO Membership Meeting in Portland, OR, Valiant is proud to present your first look inside DIVINITY II #1 (of 4) – the FIRST ISSUE of the long-awaited limited series reuniting acclaimed creators Matt Kindt (NINJAK), Trevor Hairsine (DIVINITY), Ryan Winn (X-O MANOWAR), and David Baron (BLOODSHOT REBORN) for a gripping new installment of the blockbuster superhero saga that turned the world upside-down! On April 20th, don’t miss a moment as the god-like entity that the A.V. Club calls the “Best New Superhero of 2015” returns to confront a ghost torn from his own past…one that now threatens the very fabric of existence itself!

At the height of the Cold War, the Soviet Union – determined to win the Space Race at any cost – green lit a dangerously advanced mission. They sent three cosmonauts farther into space than anyone has gone before or since. Handpicked orphans with no connections to Earth, trained as devout Communists, and restricted from having families, they became lost in the stars and encountered something unknown… Something that changed them.

Long thought lost and erased from the history books, Abram Adams was the first to return, crash-landing in the Australian Outback. The few that have been able to reach him believe him to be a deity. They say he can bend matter, space, and even time to his will. But, even with seemingly limitless power at his fingertips, he is concerned only with the secret love he hid away from his superiors and the unborn child he never had a chance to meet.

Now, Myshka, the female co-pilot of the group, has also returned to Earth…but, unlike Abram she had no secret family. Unlike Abram, she still believes in the Communist ideal. And, unlike Abram, she intends to play a very real role in the return of Soviet glory.

“[DIVINITY II’s] focus will shift slightly to the two members of DIVINITY’s crew that were left in space at the end of the first arc. Especially the woman that went with him – and her struggle to survive and return to Earth. She is not happy about what happened,” series writer Matt Kindt told Vulture. “We’ll see things from her perspective that will really inform our opinion of DIVINITY and what he did in the first series.”

After universal critical acclaim and 11 sold-out printings, the cosmos-spanning epic that birthed a new Valiant icon takes its next staggering leap into the unknown on April 20th in DIVINITY II #1 (of 4)! Featuring covers by Jelena Kevic-Djurdjevic (Thor), Tom Muller (Wolf), Trevor Hairsine (X-Men: Deadly Genesis), Phil Jimenez (Infinite Crisis), and Adam Gorham (DEAD DROP), DIVINITY II #1 (of 4) will be presented in the deluxe Valiant Prestige format with no ads, matte-laminate cardstock covers, custom-designed endsheets.

Press Release

In advance of the 10th Annual ComicsPRO Membership Meeting in Portland, OR, Valiant is proud to debut the official animated trailer and an extended look inside for A&A: THE ADVENTURES OF ARCHER & ARMSTRONG #1 – the FIRST ISSUE of the ALL-NEW ONGOING SERIES from red-hot writer Rafer Roberts (Plastic Farm, Shutter) and Valiant-exclusive superstar David Lafuente (Ultimate Spider-Man)! On March 16th, get smashed or be smashed when Valiant’s award-winning adventurers go “IN THE BAG” for an insane rescue mission pitting Archer into the mind-bending maze of lost treasures and historical oddities that awaits inside Armstrong’s magical satchel!  (Oh yeah, and there are some ninja-nuns, a talking fish-man, and a Greek god with a thirst for revenge too… It’s starting to get pretty rowdy in there!)

MEET ARMSTRONG: Since the ancient city of Ur, this immortal adventurer has spent the last 7,000 years drinking and carousing his way through history alongside some of the greatest merrymakers the world has ever known.

MEET ARCHER: A sheltered teenage martial arts master and expert marksman who was raised for a single purpose – to kill the devil incarnate. Little did he know that this undying evil was actually Armstrong (he’s actually a pretty good guy…once you get to know him) and, since hitting the road together, these two have become great friends and even better partners.

NOW: Archer is about to set off on his most dangerous mission yet – a quest into the mystic reaches of Armstrong’s bottomless satchel to liberate his friend and comrade from the clutches of the mad god Bacchus! Imprisoned in Armstrong’s satchel for centuries, Bacchus now commands a legion of monsters, goblins and golems bent on escaping back into the world of man and enacting revenge on their captor… Can Archer single-handedly combat the godly embodiment of intoxication himself – and rescue his best buddy – without becoming lost amongst Armstrong’s endless repository of bizarre artifacts and historical oddities in the process?

“Bacchus has…actually been trapped inside Armstrong’s satchel for thousands of years — a very, very long time, and he was put there by Armstrong, who was “joking around” and forgot that he had done it. [Laughs] There is a long backstory, but it’s basically an old friendship gone bad, and now Bacchus has great desire to get revenge,” writer Rafer Roberts told Comic Book Resources. “It’s really all about the mistakes that you made back in the day when you drank too much booze. Just because you don’t remember doing it doesn’t mean that you didn’t do something bad.”

All this…plus the return of Mary-Maria and the Sisters of Perpetual Darkness! The landmark first appearance of Davey the Mackerel! Fleabag motels! A taste of the world’s greatest whiskey! And surprises galore! Take two aspirin and call us in the morning because, on March 16th, Valiant’s history-smashing heroes are going “IN THE BAG” for A&A: THE ADVENTURES OF ARCHER & ARMSTRONG #1 – featuring covers by David Lafuente (Patsy Walker: Hellcat), Kano (Swamp Thing), Trevor Hairsine (DIVINITY), Clayton Henry (HARBINGER WARS), Rafer Roberts (Carpool Buddies of Doom), and Phil Jimenez (Infinite Crisis)!

Attention retailers attending this week’s 10th Annual ComicsPRO Membership Meeting: Ask a Valiant representative about how to obtain A&A: THE ADVENTURES OF ARCHER & ARMSTRONG retailer-exclusive offerings, including bottle openers, coasters, note pads, sales bags, and a ComicsPRO-exclusive edition of the complete first issue!

Actually, this is an addition to what we have already been doing. Before I get into the meat and potatoes, I will apologize for a lack of an episode for sometime. Unfortunately, we were all hit with some personal stuff in November which had us need to take time to get ourselves together. Yet, we got episodes coming up … and boy, are you in for some treats.

That said, what are we adding in Jump On Point.com? Quite simply, adding some news here and there. News and Previews of comics. I already get a lot of press releases and what not with my work on Broken Infinite and Herotaku, so I figured that JoP needed to show more love to the comics that we enjoy by posting them up here too. Reviews are a possibility down the road but we want to evolve the show and site as organically as possible. So, Jumpers can come here for previews and news on comics little by little.

Yep. That’s it for now. There will be more stuff in the pipeline but this is as good of place to start. Any indie creators or any companies at all, indie or mainstream, feel free to contact me on francisco.k.rodriguez@gmail.com in order to make sure we post news and press releases of your work. I also do reviews on Broken Infinite and reviews will be returning on Herotaku. I plan on doing reviews here once I get a few more hands to help out. (Me, Doc and Fred can’t do everything folks.)

And with that said … 2 last things: I hope you enjoy what is coming and THE JUMPIES ARE COMING!!! We will have a press release on that within the next week. Till then Jumpers … Thank you for the love and see ya soon!
