This week its Kollin’s pick and after doing Hunting For The Hag on the previous episode, he decided to go with another found footage horror film for the second week in a row for the show. So, which one did he pick? Kollin went with the 2011 supernatural found footage horror film Grave Encounters. Did Bede & Kollin find any ghosts on this hunt? Tune in to find out!

Grave Encounters was directed by The Vicious Brothers, it stars Sean Rogerson, Ashleigh Gryzko, Mackenzie Gray, Juan Riedinger, Merwin Mondesir and Matthew K McBride.

So why did Batch pick this film instead of a horror film in honour of October? Because he felt that this film should have won the poll of our 200th episode poll instead of Mac and Me. Welcome to our Podcast series from The Super Network with The Ozploit Cast! This podcast series is all about Ozploitation Cinema! If you don’t know what that is, it is exploitation films from the land Down Under! That’s right, Australia from the 70’s to now have been making exploitation films from all genres with horror, comedy, sc-fi, thriller, erotic and action to name a few. The podcast started with Wake In Fright and each episode covers five films in release order.

Breaking Loose: Summer City II Synopsis: A disillusioned and directionless Australian teen who finds his life spiraling more quickly than he can handle makes an impulsive escape to the Australian coast to stay with a friend of his mother’s. But it doesn’t take long for him to realize that the questionable adults around him appear to be in need of a similar awakening.
Day of the Panther Synopsis: A martial-arts expert goes after a criminal gang and its boss, who were responsible for the death of his partner.
Strike of the Panther Synopsis: Martial artist and cop Jason Blade must venture into a volatile chemical plant to bring down his archenemy Jim Baxter and save his girlfriend.

Welcome back to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast, the number one Tubi related podcast that’s hosted by two Australians, one Canadian and one American! Some how the two Australians Super Marcey and Bede Jermyn got lost in champions (or Bede is trying to avoid Kraven, we don’t know), so that leaves Prof. Batch and Trash Panda Kollin to steer the ship for the week! So without the Aussies, Batch and Kollin have gone with a bonus pick to celebrate the great nation of Canada with Goon (2011)! Will this podcast get cancelled? I guess you’ll have to listen in and find out!

Trilogy of Terror
Directed by Dan Curtis, segments/stories written by Richard Matheson and William F. Nolan It stars Karen Black, Robert Burton, John Karlen, Tracy Curtis, George Gaynes, Jim Storm and Walker Edmiston as the voice of the Zuni Fetish Doll.
Plot: Three bizarre horror stories, all of which star Karen Black in four different roles playing four tormented women.

Trilogy of Terror II
Directed by Dan Curtis, segments/stories written by Richard Matheson, William F. Nolan, Dan Curtis and Henry Cutner. It stars Lysette Anthony, Geraint Wyn Davies, Matt Clark, Geoffrey Lewis, Blake Heron and Richard Fitzpatrick.
Plot: Three horror stories, including a woman’s fate when she and her lover attempt to rob her husband’s grave, a woman who brings her son back from the dead and a Zuni fetish doll who comes to life again and goes on another murderous rampage.

Highlights include:

* Welcome to Podcasters of Horror Carmelita!

* Karen Black absolutely shines in her four roles over three segments.

* All three segments from Trilogy of Terror have their merits, but Ameila is the star segment.

* The Zuni Fetish Doll is utterly terrifying in parts!

Salem’s Lot 2024 was written and directed by Gary Dauberman, based on the book of the same name by Stephen King.
It stars Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Jordan Preston Carter, Alfre Woodard, Bill Camp, John Benjamin Hickey, Nicholas Crovetti, Spencer Treat Clark, William Sadler, Danielle Perry, Debra Christofferson, Pilou Asbæk and Alexander Ward.
Plot from IMDB: An author returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover that the townspeople are being attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire.

Highlights include:

* Welcome back to The King Zone, welcome back Amiedoll and welcome back to another Salem’s Lot!

* This film took forever to release, was it worth the wait?

* Marcey, Bede and Amiedoll all agree the film needed more Pilou Asbæk as Straker.

* Salem’s Lot feels more like a cliff notes version of the story.

* Once again everyone agrees this film should have been longer and given time to simmer.

* Mark Petrie is the MVP of this version, without a doubt!

* Bill Camp is great as Matt Burke but he needed more screen time!

* The third act has some great moments at the drive-in.

* Ratings for each film.
