Anyway back to technology, there’s this theory that technology will soon make humans useless. Robots are going to take all of our jobs leaving us with nothing to do and no way to make money and thrive on earth, not saying it’s true but it’s something to think about at least. 

Technology is amazing, do you think we speak about it too much? I feel it’s needed because it’s apart of everyday lives and has changed things so much.

How would you feel having to pay £50 million in tax? Do you really care about helping your country or are you true to your greed and want all the money for yourself? 

What does it take to make your own political party and for it to taken seriously by the public? Maybe we should make the OPS PARTY and see how it goes? People would laugh at the idea although the idea isn’t as absurd as what’s taking place now. 

Our government would be very simple, we would appoint one person to each important task. So for example we would have one person dealing with the NHS and one person dealing with the school curriculum. 

We go on to speak about the idea of false flags, terrorist attacks and conspiracy theory type situations. Are the latest terrorist attacks in London real or just put in place to put Theresa May in a stronger position?

Why does era keep talking like every single listener of the podcast is in the room with us? 

Who has seen the film Get Out? It seemed to me all the “hidden messages” were overlooked and people just gravitated towards the surface storyline. Which was basically a white family benefiting off of black People. If that’s you please take time and watch the movie again. 

We speak about the idea of “in game purchases” and how people are paying for unfinished games. This was unheard of a couple years ago and nobody would’ve accepted such a concept. In some cases you could easily spend £100 on one game, the initial purchase would be £50 and the rest would be spent on trying to keep up or be ahead of your fellow gamers. This kind of connects to our previous episode about how a market can change and how the creators adapt to these changes. In this episode we talk about E Sports possibly making an appearance at the Olympic Games and whether playing a computer game can actually be considered a SPORT. 

Ed also speaks about the idea of “being too old” to take part in certain activities and how that could speed up the ageing process. If you act young to some extent you’ll also feel young, that’s not to say you must keep up with every trend but you shouldn’t let age be the reason why you aren’t taking part in certain activities.

Today’s random fact is it took around 9000 years to make the corn on the cob as we know it today. It started off from a Teosinte plant no bigger than your little finger, a plant that belongs to the grass family.

Why are we so obsessed with the word organic? What’s the difference? Is words like organic and detoxing just marketing myths? Maybe these words are just used to make sells and fool the public? It’s something to think about.

Our guest today goes by the name Sandokhan, which is pronounced Sando-Can. This name came from a Jamaican man from the 80s era… A man who was a victim of police brutality along with his girlfriend then decided to get revenge by killing policemen and shooting up a police station.

Uncle Sandokhan is known for his unfiltered tweets and considered to be an uncle figure to his younger followers. He says the best way to enjoy twitter is to be yourself and don’t allow other users to censor your content. We spoke on other users trying to impose an age limit on twitter and how stupid that sounds when the creator of twitter is age 38 today. There are no age restrictions on the internet unless you’re going on a naughty 18+ website. He went on to say the best tweeters he follows are “older” anyway because they have lived life and actually have something to say and until his kids come on to twitter he will not be filtering his thoughts or leaving twitter.

Sandokhan also wanted to let everyone know he is not a scumbag as he often gets accused of this on twitter, he just says things other males are afraid to lol. In his own words he knows how to behave around women so there should no problems and if he was in a relationship he wouldn’t tweet certain things out of respect…. See he’s a good guy.

We touched on relationships and how people always try and put rules and regulations on the opposite sex and often end up with weak results. What would make more sense is that if you both respect each other you’ll find out what the other person doesn’t like and adapt to it along the way simply out of respect. Don’t force relationships just let it flow for a better more natural result.

Shout out to hayfever first of all. What does hayfever mean? And why does Ed only get hayfever while only in the UK?

We enjoyed the first snatched episode so much we thought we’d bring more of the girls on. For those that missed the first meeting snatched is a website that promotes female empowerment.

Have we always been horny? Are we obsessed with sex? Or are we just told these things in an attempt to deny our natural urges.

The Snatched group identify themselves as the feminists that fight for the female social freedoms that males have, and rightly so.

At some point during the show Ed got taken down by hayfever to a point where he seemed drunk. Lets see if you can notice at what point this happened, he still hung in there until the end of the show. There is nothing like a dedicated co host lol.

What an amazing world we live in.

Adal is a good friend and club member, the first message of today from him was KNOW YOUR LIMITS. Many times we have drank with Adal and its always ended badly this guy has got the iron belly he can drink for days.

Today we touched on parents humiliating their children and then putting it on the internet as a punishment. Why is this becoming a trend? Knowing that the younger generation are always on the internet with their friends why would you want to do that? You’re basically destroying a part of your kids social life. Imagine what the child must be feeling knowing that you have violated them for the whole world to see, do you think your child respects you now? A young girl has committed suicide because her Father had cut off her hair then posted it on the internet, he probably thought this was the best punishment at the time but this led to her jumping off a bridge. After finding this out would you treat your child in a similar way?

Would it be ok for children to humiliate their parents and post it on the internet?

In America, they use a term called “Clean Skinned Terrorist” which means “a potential attacker whose documents don’t arouse suspicion
or fit the stereotypes of what terrorists usually look like.” So it’s possible that President Bush is a clean skinned terrorist… Something to think about.

The show always flows better when the guests are very talkative, obviously, and today was a pleasure.

The show started with Ed addressing a back and forth he had with Logan Sama. The basic premise was that he didn’t enjoy Ed’s opinions on a particular episode of the boiler room series. Artists and creatives alike need to understand that not everyone will or even has to like your music or whatever it is you have created.

Someone will always have something to say about it.

To conclude, Ed would like to say he didn’t mean to come across as a “pagan” (his words not ours) as he is a fan of the grime scene and his opinion was mainly because he wants to see nothing but good things happen for the culture.

Todays guest is Shakira and Sarah, who sound weirdly alike… No, seriously, they sound almost exactly the same but that’s because they are two bubbly characters. Shakira writes a blog where she shares life experiences in the hope of empowering women and helping them with issues they may face on a day to day basis. We have seen first hand the reactions of some women after reading Shakira’s blog and it seems to have set the readers free. It’s made them comfortable to share their own problems and possibly get over any lingering feelings that come along with their life troubles.

We understand even as men that it is hard to share certain problems and we also appreciate how easy it is to feel like life is suffocating you.

We spoke about the negative feedback that was recieved also because some people believe that Shakira was exploiting her readers. This isn’t true as Shakira was just trying to inspire women to overcome their problems by sharing some of her own. But again at the end of the day not everyone has to like what you’re doing and not everyone will enjoy what you have created. If you feel like what you’re doing has meaning, or you and a few people are benefiting from the content you create… don’t stop!!!

No matter where you go, there will be at least one person that doesn’t like your work for whatever the reason.

It’s fine. Not everyone is the same.

We spoke about social media giving everyone a voice and how maybe not everyone should have that voice because many choose not to use it properly. We believe social media is a platform to make things happen, connect with people and also share your opinions but we can admit we are biased because this is how The OP Show is allowed to bring these people together. We try and use social networks to our advantage.

Well… It should do!  Gloka was one of the first grime artists to ever make a music video, way back in the days of Channel U (before it was rebranded as Channel AKA). Back in those days we shared poor quality videos on large 3G phones that resembled a TV remote. Lets thank the Bogle Gods for front cameras!
Gloka is a funny character that’s always up for a laugh and that quality humour really shined through on this episode.

Today we have a guest from the Fat Boy Club. A very inspiring young man who knew what he wanted to do from a young age and set out on that path as soon as he could.
Tre is an inspiration to us simply because he had a vision and made it real with no excuses. We decided he needed his own episode so he can tell us about himself and maybe also inspire some of the listeners.

If you could change your name what would you change it to?

This is how we started our 2nd episode as one of the hosts confesses he is in a bit of an identity crisis. He doesn’t know what he wants to be called on the show or in day to day life. The theme music is so fitting right now “We are just ordinary people, we don’t know which way to go”. We will probably discuss this further in a future episode.

We spoke quickly on university and how it feels like an epic journey similar to Lord of the Rings but this is how life is in general obviously some adventures are more epic than others. Nothing worth doing is going to be easy remember that.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

We talk about how the film American Sniper reinforces certain stereotypes and the outrage that came with it. Although we feel the outrage wasn’t needed we feel it is good we are in a time where people can voice their opinion and be heard. But please understand sometimes your opinion can hurt other people and its not always needed. Sometimes a mediator is needed Mediation Man where are you?????
