Les artisans sont légion et produisent tous des objets absolument réjouissants et foncièrement distrayants. Zcars est de ceux-là. Leur domaine de prédilection, c'est la Mini qu'ils aiment faire muter en un engin de course diabolique. The Ultimate Mini Conversion, voilà leur credo. Un châssis tubulaire, un moteur Honda Vtec 2.0l de 220 ch (ou Volvo 2.0l turbo) ou de moto (GSXR, R1 ou Hayabusa), une caisse de Mini sauvagement évidée et le tout mixé nous donne la Mini Zcars, vue lors du Top Marques du mois de mars dernier. L'engin n'est désormais plus réservé aux seuls anglais et si vous avez la folie de la Mini, l'envie de découvrir des sensations nouvelles (et piquantes) et le portefeuille qui va bien, direction le pôle mécanique d'Alès où se trouve la société Akxion. Akxion, c'est 30 ans d'expérience dans la compétition et les sports mécaniques et une passion pour les kit-cars à l'anglaise. Akxion a donc fait venir 2 kits Zcars qu'ils ont monté et qui sont visibles (et en location) sur le pôle mécanique. De la Mini d'origine, il ne reste plus que la caisse qui servira d'emballage, la crémaillère de direction et le moteur d'essuie glace. Tout le reste est original et drôlement appétissant. Reste à trouver les financements puisque le modèle clés en mains est facturé 25.000 euros et celui qui illustre la news est full options et coûte 32.500 euros. Si vous êtes bricoleur et que vous souhaiter monter vous même votre Zcars, le kit de base revient à 10.900 euros. En effet, un suédois, nommé Johan, a tout simplement monté le moteur S85 de la division M de BMW dans sa M3 E30. Le V10 de 507cv va lui donner des sensations fortes et voir même dévastatrice. De plus, la M3 E30 s’est confronté à sa grande soeur actuelle, la BMW M3 à moteur V8. Bien sûr, étant donné le poids plume de la E30, la V8 ne peut suivre son ainée. D’après la source Autoblog, Johan est monté jusqu’à 288 km/h. Pas mal pour une ancêtre ? Ça ne sert rigoureusement à rien mais ça fait un beau bruit et c'est marrant à regarder. 2 minutes pas plus. Ça tombe bien, c'est la durée de cette vidéo.
