Marina Summers Drops 'AMAFILIPINA' Music Video

Marina Summers is a true ‘Filipina winnah’ radiating beauty and charisma in the music video of her single “AMAFILIPINA,” which has accumulated over 360,000 online views on YouTube and peaked at #18 on trending videos for music.

“AMAFILIPINA’ is Marina’s adaptation of Maymay Entrata’s iconic song “AMAKABOGERA,” which Marina performed in the premiere episode of “Drag Race UK vs the World,” where she won. It has also already earned over 168,000 streams on Spotify.

The song talks of being a proud Filipina, with Marina being the only Pinay and only Asian representative in the “Drag Race” competition.

It has tweaked lyrics that Marina co-wrote with Kumare Harvey. It was produced by Roque “Rox” Santos and released under ABS-CBN’s Tarsier Records label.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Marina shared that she had always wanted to give her own take on “Amakabogera.”

She said, “"And 'yung 'Amakabogera' pambakla talaga siya, gurl. Pambakla talaga siya even from the title itself. So I wanted to pay homage to that and do my own rendition of it, like how would the gays do it, how would the drag queens portray it, like how they would sing it on an international level.”

Marina is one of the recording artists signed under Tarsier Records. She previously released the singles “Divine” and “ride 4 me.”

The drag queen emerged as the runner-up in the first season of “Drag Race Philippines.” Last year, she also appeared in RuPaul's Drag Con, and won the WOWIE Awards Rising Star of 2023 during the said event.

Marina was likewise chosen by Spotify to represent the Philippines and Southeast Asia for their Global PRIDE x Glow campaign in 2023 with a feature in a New York Times Square billboard.

Bolder Enrique Gil Graces Metro Man Cover

Enrique Gil opens up about exploring uncharted territories and how his comedy film “I Am Not Big Bird” became the perfect project for his acting comeback in the digital cover of Metro Man.

After taking some time away from the spotlight, Enrique revealed that he had worries about his comeback but still pushed himself to take risks and show off his range as an actor.

“It’s also okay to be scared and take chances sometimes ’cause you know, I was playing safe and sometimes it gets a little boring. So sabi ko sa sarili ko, ‘how are you going to take a different route?’ Hopefully, the artists will get inspired and would want to venture out into different things,” he said in his exclusive Metro Man feature.

As an avid comedy fan, Enrique was eager to portray the role of Luis Carpio in “I Am Not Big Bird” which is different from his well-known leading man roles.

“‘I Am Not Big Bird’ just reminded me of Hangover and all these movies that I love watching, kasi mahilig ako sa comedy. In my wildest dreams, I would never imagine that a film like this would be coming out to the viewers here, but we took a chance. We did it and I’m super happy and proud that we did. I’m just happy that I got to do a full-blown comedy that I’ve always wanted to do,” he shared.

The Kapamilya actor is not afraid of failure as he continues to aim for bigger, bolder, and better projects.

He said, “Back then, I was like, ‘No, I don’t think this is going to happen.’ Parang it felt so out-of-the-box or out of me but then, realizing it, ‘No, that’s really me, e.’ So I’m just doing what I want to do and hopefully, people will enjoy it and are happy about it.”

Ibinahagi ni Rockstar Royalty Bamboo na hindi siya nakakaramdam ng pressure para muling maging winning coach sa bagong season ng reality singing competition matapos magkaroon ng dalawang “The Voice” champion ang Kamp Kawayan.

“I have never had pressure. I mean if I think about it, I had like disappointments, but I know it is not in my control. Ang alam ko lang is as long as I put the work in and my artist puts the work in, and then we do our best on that given night, okay na ko,” kwento in Bamboo.

Welcome to the semifinals of 100 Asian Heartthrobs 2020 also known as “The Battle Round.” The 50 semifinalists will undergo a series of eliminations via head to head challenge. Each heartthrob will face another and they will vie for public votes for a period of 7 days. The winner of each bout will advance to the second level of a battle round where he will face another winner from the first level. Every time a heartthrob wins a match, he is one step closer to be named “Ultimate Asian Heartthrob of 2020.”

All winners from the second level will again face each other to advance to the third level. The loser of each bout will get eliminated. However, we will choose two wildcards from level one and level two for one final chance to advance to the next round.

In level one: 50 semifinalists will become 25 + 1 from wildcard bout.
In level two: 26 semifinalists will become 13 + 1 from wildcard bout.
In level three: 14 semifinalists will become 7 (no more wildcard at this level).

The 7 finalists will vie against one another in our final battle for the title.
