“The Lord reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad! Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. A fire goes before Him and burns up His enemies roundabout. His lightnings light the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory” (Psalm 97:1-6).

Lesson:

We Christians ought to always praise God for all his goodness in our lives. If we recount his goodness, we will realize that the Creator has performed so many miracles both in our lives and in the lives of our loved ones. However, God’s miracles are without limits; he will still perform more new miracles if we continue to praise and trust him.

Prayer:

Dear God, please let my mouth be filled with your praises. Give me the ability to recount your goodness in my life, and let my testimony turn into motivation for serving you more. For I make my requests in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things” (Philippians 4:8).

Lesson:

God requires all his children to maintain a stable and consistent relationship with him. They must also live an exemplary lifestyle for other people to emulate. However, no one can meet such important expectations without the help of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is essential that all Christians daily ask God for the in-filling of the Holy Spirit so that they can adequately satisfy his desires.

Prayer:

Dear God, please I need the help of your Holy Spirit to be a good Christian. I realized that I am weak and cannot adequately meet your expectations with my human strength; therefore, I ask you to please empower me with your divine Holy Spirit! Anoint me with grace to serve you well and be a good example for other people to follow. At the end of it all, let me receive your imperishable crown of glory in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“The Lord does not see, nor does the God of Jacob understand” (Psalm 94:6-7).

However, God will repay evil people for their wickedness. It is written,

“Understand, you senseless among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see? He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?” (Psalm 94:8-10).

Lesson:

God sees and knows all things; he will reward wicked people with heavy punishments unless they repent. Meanwhile, the Creator will positively reward God-fearing people. He will bless them on earth and also reserve the best place for them in heaven. Hence, all people are encouraged to fear God and demonstrate goodness towards others, so that they can qualify for his blessings.

Prayer:

Dear God, please count me out of wicked people. I do not want to be categorized with evil people! Help me to love and fear you always. Enable me to love other people as well. Please bless me today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh” (Philippians 3:3).

Lesson:

We Christians have no other pride than Jesus Christ; therefore we must rejoice in him always. We must abstain from self-glorification but direct all honor to the Lord! The Savior has blessed us with his immeasurable grace of salvation, and he has also promised us an imperishable crown of glory in heaven. Hence, believers must dance before him and celebrate his goodness from now till eternity.

Prayer:

Dear Jesus Christ, what an awesome Lord you are! You sacrificed your life to save my soul! I will praise you from now on. I will sing, dance, and proclaim your goodness throughout the earth. I am determined to shun self-praise, but give you due honor throughout the days of my life. So help me God! Amen.

“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing” (Psalm 92:12-14).

Lesson:

A person who faithfully serves God has nothing to lose, but he will have every good thing to gain. The more we serve God, the better our lives will become. The Creator will open doors of opportunity for us, and he will lavish us with his goodness. Unbelievers will observe our blessings and be motivated to serve God as well.

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. Lesson:

Humility comes before promotions, and Christians should learn humility from Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, being the second head of the trinity, had all things to his advantage in heaven, yet he gave up all his royal honor and allowed God to debase him and send him to earth for the purpose of saving humankind. Since he proved submission, God rewarded him with better honor. Hence, all people must confess him as Lord to be saved. Since Jesus proved submission, God commanded all beings to confess him as their Master, and every soul must declare him as the Son of God in order to receive the gift of eternal life. The scripture emphasized Jesus Christ and said,

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

Prayer:

Dear God, please make me a humble person. Give me the grace to demonstrate sincere humility like your Son Jesus Christ who submitted himself to ridicule and dishonor for the purpose of saving humanity. Help me to submit myself to you also; let me think about you more and serve you better. To demonstrate my sincerity, I, therefore, submit on my knees today and confess my sins and declare Jesus Christ as my Lord. I declare that he (Jesus) is Lord, and I accept him as my personal Savior. From now on, I will serve Jesus with all my strength, and I will do this for the rest of my life! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of your righteousness, of yours only. O God, You have taught me from my youth; and to this day I declare your wondrous works. Lesson:

The primary assignment that God assigned every believer is to proclaim the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christians must spread God’s good news through every medium available. They must effectively witness Christ’s gospel to the extent that unbelievers will change their minds and become saved. However, gospel evangelization is a very easy task to perform. Every Christian ought to share their salvation experience with others (whether a family member or an outsider) and encourage them to partake in the same blessing.

Prayer:

Dear God, I could not appreciate you enough for all your goodness in my life. I understand that an effective means of demonstrating my gratitude to you is to preach the gospel. Therefore, I ask you to give me the grace to proclaim your good news, so that other people can be saved also. Please fill my mouth with your Holy Spirit and use me as a living vessel that is worthy of bearing bruits for your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God” (Philippians 1:27-28).

Lesson:

It is a worthwhile effort to stand firm with Jesus Christ. Afflictions and persecutions of saints would rise, but believers must endure them all. God reserves huge rewards for followers of Jesus Christ who refuse to bow for an opposition. He will reward our steadfastness with his crown of glory in heaven. Not only that, but God will also make our work on earth abide. Our good works will still continue to speak after we have departed from this earth to heaven. God will continue to reference our good works and bless our succeeding generations.

Prayer:

Dear God, please let me be a steadfast Christian who does not let me give up his/her faith because of persecutions. Help me to remain focused and faithfully serve you unto the end. Please bless me and my household, and let all who faithfully follow you receive a crown of glory in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a vain hope for safety; neither shall it deliver any by its great strength” (Psalm 33:16-17).

Lesson:

Perfect security comes from God, and Jesus’ believers have their stake in it. God will remain concerned for his children and he will keep them safe under his watchful eyes. However, people who reserve their trust in the arms of flesh will be disappointed. Since human knowledge is limited, there would be no absolute security guarantee by anyone. (Meanwhile, man-made security is costly!) God sure security over his children will last a lifetime. To qualify for God’s protection, a person must have confessed Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord, and also exercise God’s fear in all ramifications.

Prayer:

Dear God, please I need your guaranteed security over my life. Therefore, I humbly confess my sins and repent from them. I also confess your Son Jesus Christ as Lord, and I accept him as my personal Savior. Please establish my feet as your true child who will permanently enjoy your security and other benefits. Most importantly, please write my name in the book of life, so that I can be accepted to your heavenly kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
