“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:11-15).

Lesson:

The long-awaited Judgment Day of God will soon come on earth and the faithful followers of Jesus Christ will be awarded the gift of eternal life in heaven. Satan and his fallen angels will receive the reward of hellfire. Humans who have refused to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord will also be hauled to hellfire. They shall suffer in hellfire forever. (Hell is a place containing God’s unquenchable fire that is burning with high graded sulfur – Revelation 21:8). Meanwhile, the gracious God is ever willing to forgive a repentant sinner. He will save whoever repents from his/her sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. It is therefore important that every soul immediately take the appropriate step of confessing Jesus Christ as his/ her Lord before it is too late. A person who procrastinates may miss an opportunity of going to heaven since he does not know when he will die (or a time that rapture will happen).

Prayer:

Dear God, I don’t want to go to hellfire, but I want to go to heaven. Please count me worthy for heaven! I understand that faith in Jesus Christ is the license to heaven; therefore, I confess my faith in Jesus Christ. I believe that he is the savior of the world, and I accept him as my personal Lord and Savior. Please forgive my sins and grant me the strength to faithfully serve you unto the end. Please write my name in the book of life, and let me ever worthy of your eternal kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord I pray and make declarations of faith. Amen!

“Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought out the Levites in all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings and singing, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps” (Nehemiah 12:27).

Lesson:
Nothing shall be impossible for Christians who are determined to faithfully serve God. Jehovah will support them against their obstacles, and help them succeed. It is important that believers must understand that we are not ordinary people. We are people anointed by God to have success on earth. God is on our side, and he will help us prosper in all our ways. Nothing shall be impossible for a person whose trust is reserved in God!

Prayer:
Dear God, please help me to realize my status as a child of God who is born to succeed on earth. Help me to take steps of faith to achieve great things for you! Bless my works so that I can share your testimony of goodness to all people around me. Please let my testimony of your goodness abide! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“Then a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!” And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready” (Revelation 19:5-7).

Lesson:

All Christians are encouraged to endure any persecution that they may encounter since they will reap God’s rewards in the end. Satan’s attacks against believers may be harsh and brutal but they won’t last forever! They will soon fade away. God will halt all the enemy’s activities and cast evildoers to hellfire. Therefore, children of God must be happy and be hopeful that their joy is around the corner. To remain steadfast, we must daily pray to God and yield ourselves to the leadership of his Holy Spirit.

Prayer:

Dear God, please let your Holy Spirit keep my feet firm in you. Give me the strength to resist temptations and triumph in all situations. Let your Holy Spirit help me to live a conquerable life on earth so that I can rejoice with you in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“if the peoples of the land brought wares or any grain to sell on the Sabbath day, we would not buy it from them on the Sabbath, or on a holy day; and we would forego the seventh year’s produce and the exacting of every debt” (Nehemiah 10:31).

Lesson:

God is willing to work with any Christian who is determined to serve him well. He will also work with a backslidden Christian who chooses to repent from his sin. Jehovah will accept a repentant sinner in a way that is similar to the story of the Prodigal Son in the bible (Luke 15:11-32). A person who repents from his sins, and serves God well will not be condemned on God’s day of judgment. The person will find his place with God in heaven.

Prayer:

Dear God, please give me a heart that follows your instructions. Help me to humbly repent from my sins and turn a new leaf so that I can qualify for your kingdom. Forgive my past sins and guide me to start living a new life of holiness before you. Please let my ways satisfy you on earth so that I can qualify for your eternal kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.” And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues” (Revelation 18:1-4).

Lesson:

Any city or nation that champions sinful practices on earth will not last long, but it will fail. God will bring down any nation that promotes promiscuity and violence. Also, people who follow the multitude to commit sin will be destroyed. Meanwhile, the righteousness of God will be established among his own people, and their light will shine until the end of the age. Therefore, believers must be vigilant not to participate in sinful practices that their society may be promoting. Every Christian must do his/her best to comply with God’s law. They must make decisive efforts to camp with God in holiness so that they can escape God’s imminent judgment, and be qualified for heaven.

Prayer:

Dear God, I have made up my mind not to follow the devil and his evil workers. I am determined to isolate myself from sinful practices that my society may be promoting. Please help me to stand firm with you, and let your Holy Spirit empower me to faithfully serve you unto the end so that I can qualify for your eternal rewards in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“…Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly of men and women and all who could hear with understanding on the first day of the seventh month. Then he read from it in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate from morning until midday, before the men and women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law” (Nehemiah 8:2-3).

Lesson:

The secret to life achievements is reserved in the Bible. Anyone who aspires to success must study his or her bible. Also, the bible exposes its readers to understand God’s mind and his requirements. It teaches a person to learn how to repent from his sin and live a holy life that God expects. Indeed, lasting success, peace, and prosperity can only be found in the bible which is the word of God. Hence, all children of God should make it their committed practice to study their bible to live victorious lives.

Prayer:

Dear God, please teach me how to daily study my bible so that I can be wise and prosper. Teach me how to apply bible knowledge to my daily activities so that I can prosper in all my ways. More importantly, let the knowledge of your word keep me fit to inherit your eternal kingdom. Please do these things and many more. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“…The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead, a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement. But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is” (Revelation 17:4-8).

Lesson:

Immorality and persecution of saints would rise prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Various kingdoms in the world will promote violence against God’s elects, and some of them would be killed for the sake of their testimony in Jesus Christ. Many people will derive pleasure from fornication, adultery, homosexuality, and all other immoralities. However, God will put a final stop to the activities of the evil workers at his appointed time. He will haul evil people to hellfire – which would be a permanent place of punishment.

Prayer:

Dear God, please help me to not follow the footsteps of evil people. Do not let me practice – so that I will not sin against you and incur your punishment. Help me to maintain a good relationship with you, and let me hold firm your testimony till the end, so that I can be duly rewarded in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they fortify themselves? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they complete it in a day? Will they revive the stones from the heaps of rubbish—stones that are burned?” Now Tobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, “Whatever they build, if even a fox goes up on it, he will break down their stone wall” (Nehemiah 4:1-3). Nehemiah and his men were determined to shun opposition and rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. They prayed against their enemies, and also stood up to defend themselves. Nehemiah and his men prayed and said, “Hear, O our God, for we are despised; turn their reproach on their own heads, and give them as plunder to a land of captivity! Do not cover their iniquity, and do not let their sin be blotted out from before you; for they have provoked you to anger before the builders… Therefore I (Nehemiah) positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall, at the openings; and I set the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses” (Nehemiah 4:4-5; Nehemiah 4:13-14).

Lesson:

Christian opposition like Sanballat and Tobiah sometimes come around to frustrate the efforts of God’s children. They may mount physical or spiritual opposition, but their ultimate goal is to make God’s children compromise their stand with God. These enemies do not encourage good adventures. Therefore, children of God must be sensitive not to allow the enemies to fulfill their mission. Believers must be sensitive to identify the scheme of the enemies and stop them. We must make significant efforts through prayer and fasting to stop our opponents. We must also not hesitate to take any physical action that is necessary to stop the enemies. More importantly, believers must have confidence in God. We must have an assurance that God is ever able to help us overcome our foes!

Prayer:

Dear God, please frustrate the enemy that may want to stop me in my effort to serve you. Let the generation of Sanballat and Tobiah be defeated in my life! I receive your grace to remain confident – so that I can continue to serve you in Spirit and in truth. Please always let your testimony ever abide in my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame” (Revelation 16:13-15).

Lesson:

Satan will definitely send out his demons to deceive people during the end-time period. The scripture warns all people to be vigilant, and avoid falling to Satan’s trap. Whoever falls to the enemy’s trap will suffer irreparable loss. All Satan’s victims will end up in hellfire! To be forewarned is to be forearmed! All people must endeavor to know the truth. We must effectively study the word of God, and we must not believe in any teaching or prophecy that lacks bases in the scripture. Believers must be prayerful, and we must ask God to empower us through his Holy Spirit to always meet God’s mandate.

May you not be disappointed on the Lord’s Day of Judgment!

Prayer:

Dear God, please save my soul from the antichrist that Satan would send to deceive the earth. Help me to know the truth; entertain the truth, and practice the truth. Do not let me become Satan’s victim, but help me to triumph and make heaven at the end of my earthly journey. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
