My client Leslie contacted me asking if I could check in on her horse Shadow who seemed a little off. Leslie scheduled a phone appointment with me and when I connected with Shadow, she said there were some sharp points on her teeth in the back of her mouth that really bothered her.

Leslie called her equine dentist to come out and do an exam on Shadow. The dentist said her teeth looked good. “I don’t think they are a problem,” said the dentist. However, Leslie kept thinking about the conversation Shadow and I had. Leslie replied, “Please look harder. I really believe there is an issue in her mouth. Just like some people can’t cope with an itchy shirt tag at the back of their neck, some horses are more sensitive than others.”

She urged the dentist to tranquilize Shadow and check all the way in the back of her mouth. The dentist did a more comprehensive exam and she did indeed find a few small points on Shadow’s back teeth. The dentist took the little points down.

After Shadow came out of the sedation, Leslie gently put her hands on Shadow’s head to make a loving connection with her. The thought, “Yes! I am comfortable now,” came shooting into Leslie’s mind and they sighed with relief. Leslie knew for sure that the points in the back of Shadow’s mouth were a source of constant irritation for her. Her whole body had an entirely new level of ease.

At Leslie’s next session, I checked in with Shadow to make sure she was fine. Shadow told me, “Thank you, I feel great!”

Later, Leslie went for a ride with Shadow and sent me this note:

I just rode her bareback and asked for a hindquarter yield, a forequarter yield, stop, back, trot, lope, and stop. She was magical and feather light. I laughed and told her, “That was unbeatable, so I am getting off now and we’ll just hang out on the lawn together.” It was clear the pain in her mouth was gone.

Imagine lying in a hospital bed in Intensive Care. Needles are tapped to your arm and you can’t move your legs. Are you feeling fear and anxiety about your future?

This is how I felt when, 25 years ago, I found myself in such a situation. I had been in a severe car accident and the medical professionals gave me a three percent chance to live. If I did live, I would be 98 percent disabled.

My inner self knew the prognosis had to be wrong. I called on my spirit guides, angels and the Ascended Masters for guidance. They told me it was my life’s purpose and plan to be healed. In a time of crisis, my ability to access this spiritual wisdom helped keep me from a spiral of depression and abandonment and allowed me to open the space for healing.

This same level of intuition is available to you in your time of need or crisis. In my case, the ability to access the guidance of my animals and spirit guides was literally a life saver for me. Though your situation may not be as severe, by learning to access your intuitive nature, you can ask for messages of healing and support from your animal companions, wild animals, or even animals who have passed.

My dog Makeba and my horse Rocket were there to help me through my long process of healing from the physical and emotional trauma of my car accident. Imagine being able to offer this same kind of support when your animal is sick, injured or suffering emotional distress. All this is possible when you learn to open your telepathic channels to send and receive messages of healing and love.

I have been teaching animal communication for over 15 years and I still hear the same sentiment from students who are unsure about animal communication. “People will think I’m crazy.”

Telepathic communication is part of our natural abilities. As a small child, I talked to the squirrels in my yard easily and joyfully. As I got older, society taught me that I was an outsider. I turned off my telepathic abilities to fit in and it was one of the saddest periods of my life. It took a near-death experience for me to awaken those natural abilities again.

You don’t need to wait for trauma to awaken your ability to communicate with your animals. You can access that ability now. Here is a story from one of my students:

“Asia talked to one of my animals during a demonstration event and her information was all accurate. Still, I was skeptical about the validity of animal communication. I decided to take her class with the intention that if she could teach me, I would believe. If she could not teach me, I would know it was all fake. In just one weekend, Asia taught me how to communicate with my horse and the messages I received convinced me that animal communication is definitely real. I will never go back to being a skeptic again. I now use animal communication with my horses, dogs and cats and our relationships have grown to a much deeper level.”

Animal communication is real and you can learn how to reawaken your natural abilities. In this video, I share a story about my experience with my dog Pearl when she was diagnosed with cancer and how animal communication helped Pearl recover.

Animals have an innate ability to communicate with one another using body language. The horse pins back his ears to fend off a challenger. Dogs bare their teeth at strangers to claim territory. Cats knead their paws on a soft space to show contentment. Most people know to leave the area when a skunk raises its tail.

I have been asked if animal communication is all about reading body language. The answer is yes and no. Animal communication is not about reading the physical body language of the animal. It is about reading the telepathic messages being sent by the animal. In many cases, my clients and their animals may be thousands of miles away and I may not even have a picture of the animal before I begin to communicate. Ninety percent of the time I don’t see the animals I am working with. If animal communication was only about reading body language, this would not be possible.

On the other hand, telepathic messages are often sent by the animals through pictures. I may be talking to a cat who is hundreds of miles away and not be hearing any words, but the cat is sending me a telepathic picture of licking his hind leg. By reading this telepathic picture, I may know to ask if the cat is feeling pain or itchiness in his hind leg. The cat may reply to this question by sending me a telepathic picture of him nodding or shaking his head to indicate a yes or a no.

Reading physical body language can be a place to start to communicate with your animals. By being present and watching your dog, you can begin to see when he is happy, sad, or has to be taken outside for a bathroom break. When you are ready to go to a deeper level of connection, learning animal communication may be the next step to enriching your life and the life of your animal companions.

New puppies are soft, warm and cuddly. They make us laugh with their silly antics and open our hearts in ways only puppies know how. New puppies also need training to help them become the wonderful companion or helper we hope for.

I have spent 14 years taking lessons from very knowledgeable dog trainers and I have found that my ability to communicate telepathically with my dogs has helped bring the training methods I learned to a new level of effectiveness.

As a small child, I was naturally connected to my intuitive abilities and talked easily with the animals. Puppies are like small children and naturally access their telepathic abilities.

Animals often communicate telepathically through pictures. Is the picture you are sending your new puppy the same as the words coming out of your mouth? If you are asking your puppy to walk calmly on a leash but you are thinking about your puppy pulling and yipping, which communication do you want your puppy to respond to?

Are you trying to train your new puppy? Find out how to visualize what you want your puppy to do for greater training success in this video. I will give you tips on how to use mental pictures to assist you in taking your training time with your new puppy, or your older dog, to the next level.

My dog won’t come when called.
My cat wakes me up in the middle of the night.
My horse won’t move.

I am often asked to talk with a person’s animal because they think the animal is doing something ‘wrong.’ The person has tried to make the animal stop and the behavior continues even after repeat visits to their Veterinarian and trainer. Often the animals are trying to tell us something with their behavior.

I remember a day when I was planning a nice trail ride with my friends. I saddled up my horse Rocket and asked him to walk. He wouldn’t move. I tried using my legs and my seat. I tried using my voice to make him move, but Rocket stood solid. I finally came to my senses and asked telepathically, “Rocket, why won’t you move?”

The answer came back clearly and taught me an important lesson in keeping the lines of communication open. “You forgot to tighten the cinch,” said Rocket.

I looked down and saw that my cinch was hanging several inches below Rocket’s belly. Had we started our ride, chances are I would have fallen and been injured. Rocket felt his obligation to protect me from harm and did his best to communicate the problem.

When we get angry or impatient with our animal companions and try to use force to make them ‘obey,’ we risk punishing them for trying to help us.

In the video accompanying this post, I offer a few tips on how to communicate with your animal companions when they seem to be doing something ‘wrong.’

Does your dog experience separation anxiety? Would you like to find a way to send your dog a text message while you are at work? Your dog may not have a smart phone, but you can communicate with your dog even if you are thousands of miles away. Because telepathic communication has no time or space limitations, you can communicate messages to your animal companions when you are away from home.

Imagine being able to check in with your dog at lunch time to say “I love you. Mommy will be home in a few hours and you are safe.”

Being able to connect with your dog in this way could save you hours of clean-up and save your dog from severe emotional distress which can contribute to physical illnesses. With a quick, one-minute telepathic check-in, you can shift your dog from a frenzied fiend into a calm and happy companion.

In this video you will learn about the ‘first language’ of your animal companions.

Don’t get mad, get help! America’s Animal Communication Expert Asia Voight gives tips on helping your pet when potty habits get challenging.

Potty training can be a challenge for a new puppy, but what about an older dog whose peeing habits aren’t what they used to be? Like human senior citizens, senior pets can develop problems holding their bladder function. It may be harder to get your physically challenged dog out the door in time!

My little Maltese dog Pearl is a senior pet and sometimes has challenges remembering where to go and when to go. Clear communication has become vital for us. Using animal communication helps both Pearl and I take the stress out of her potty habits. I frequently visualize in my mind where I want her to go potty whether it is on the grass outside or on a special absorbent pet pad in the house.

Keeping your energy positive is important in your communication. Letting your pet feel your disappointment or frustration with the potty routine won’t help keep him motivated to try. Let your pet feel your excitement about his potty successes, and your forgiveness when he fails.

What happens when not even animal communication helps? In the attached video, I offer some tips on ways you can help your pet when you find yourself taking that trip outside more often than your schedule permits. From doggie diapers to pet pads, I’ll show you examples I’ve found helpful.

Have you had a challenge, or a success, with your potty-challenged pet?

Share your story or questions in the comments below.
I’d love to hear from you.

When you and your pet collide, America’s Animal Communication Expert Asia Voight shares tips on keeping the peace in your home.

Does your dog constantly want to sit on your lap? Does your Chihuahua take up half the bed at night? Is your Malamute just tall enough to rest his sloppy jaw on your kitchen table? Whether your ‘big dog’ weighs 100 pounds or only ten pounds, there may be times when you feel like your dog is taking over your life and home. Using physical discipline can further alienate your dog who is trying to be one of the family.

Often people try to stop their dog from barking by yelling at the dog. What is yelling to a dog? It’s barking. By yelling at your dog to stop barking, you are only joining in on the fun and encouraging your dog to continue barking.

By learning to use energy and telepathic communication with your animal companions, you can change these challenging relationships. By opening your heart and using your energy to communicate with your dog, you can send your message without ‘barking’ back.

In the accompanying video, I share a tip on using energy to communicate more effectively with your animal companion.

Do you have a challenge with your ‘big dog’ at home or on the road?
Share your story or questions in the comments below.
I’d love to hear from you.

The easiest way to build a wonderful relationship with your dog, cat, horse, or rabbit, is to help them feel safe and trusting with you.

Are you having problems training your dog who came from a puppy mill, a dog pound, or was rescued? Your pet may have old pain and fear memories stored in its body and emotions. Clearing out these old memories and replacing them with memories of safety and love will make your dog’s transition to your household easier and more joyful.

Has your dog recently gone through a health challenge, surgery or a traumatic event? You can help your pet stay emotionally stable and happy by using your thoughts and energy to make them feel safe again.

In this video, I give you nine steps to clear old fears and emotional baggage from your pet. These calming steps are easy to do and will help insure your relationship with your animal companion is one of love and joy.

A student of mine shared her story of developing a mantra for her dog who was terribly afraid of thunderstorms. She would gently stroke the dog and repeat, “You are a good dog and you are safe.” It worked! Her dog is much calmer now, even when the big booms sound.

How we treat our pets mirrors how we treat others. America’s Animal Communication Expert, Asia Voight shares her experience with Pet Bullying.

Recently, a female newscaster came on air to respond to an email she received criticizing her about her weight. Her response was, “No Bullying.” Our society is waking up to seeing the beauty in diversity and honoring everyone for who they are. Bullying, teasing and joking about another’s misfortune are no longer acceptable.

How does this relate to your pets? In this video segment, I talk about how people’s perceptions and responses to my healthy poodle Gracie can be very different from their perception of my differently-abled Maltese Pearl.

As an animal communicator, I know animals have feelings and sense energy. When you joke about your own, or someone else’s pet who may be overweight or have a physical challenge, the animal may not understand your verbal language, but they can feel the energy in your words and your expressions. I know my dog Pearl is upset when people make fun of her because she has only one eye, or they see her tongue hanging out.

BULLYING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE WHETHER THE RECIPIENT IS HUMAN OR ANIMAL!

The next time you see a differently-abled animal, remember to speak to them kindly and with respect. Praise the animal for their strengths and their beauty. The best way to teach your children to treat all creatures with kindness and respect is to be an example for them. When you stand up for your own pet, you are sending the message to your children that you will stand up for them.

Have you experienced Pet Bullying?

Differently-abled pets may need extra help feeling safe. America’s Animal Communication Expert Asia Voight gives tips on picking your pet up safely.

Imagine being blind or hard of hearing and having someone sneak up on you and pick you up off the floor. You’d be startled!

My little Maltese Pearl is a senior pet who has had a stroke, is missing one eye and is hard of hearing. She has taught me the importance of recognizing when your differently-abled pet needs extra care, even in the simplest of things, like picking her up.

Before I pick up Pearl, I touch her side and send her the message that I will be picking her up. Knowing what is coming helps Pearl feel safe with me and lets us enjoy our time together. Though your dog may not be as challenged as Pearl, using communication to let them know what is happening can go a long way to making them feel honored and safe in their environment. Even a healthy pet can get scared if they are handled unexpectedly.

Teaching children to use these guidelines when dealing with any animal can also keep their interactions safe. A surprised dog or cat is more likely to bite than one who is handled with care and respect.

In this video, Pearl helps me show you tips on picking your pet up right.

Is your pet differently-abled?

Translating the rooster’s morning song, America’s Animal Communication Expert, Asia Voight talks to a rooster with a unique perspective.

Our pets are often the soft, furry, cuddly type such as dogs or cats, perhaps the occasional hamster or rabbit. When you think about animal communication, you may think about talking with these animals. What about the more ‘unpopular’ animals like chickens, skunks, beetles, bees, spiders, or bats?

You could be surprised at the wisdom held within these not so cuddly beings.

A student of mine once talked with an ant who shared wisdom with her about striving for a goal, participating in community, and testing your inner strength. She was amazed at the clear messages this ant had for her.

Another student found a nest of paper wasps in between the hay stacked in her horse barn. Instead of spraying the nest with toxic chemicals to kill the bees, she let them stay until winter, then removed the nest to a safe place. During their stay, she watched silently and communicated with the bees to gather their unique wisdom perspective.

In the attached video, I share communication with a rooster at Heartland Farm Sanctuary. This unpopular animal, often thought of as livestock, had a profound message for us all.

We can access that same appreciation of diversity when we meet challenge with other humans who may be different from us. What unusual animals have you communicated with? What unpopular animal do you dream of talking to?

When your pet has a health challenge, America’s Animal Communication Expert, Asia Voight gives tips on helping your pets live a stress-free life from their perspective.

As we age, we often encounter challenges with our bodies or senses. Illness, or injury can require us to learn new ways of moving and communicating. Situations such as stroke, arthritis or hearing and sight impairments can give us a different perspective on the world.

The same can be true for our animal companions. Animals who are well cared for are living longer lives and facing new challenges along with their age. Your dog may lose his hearing or sight. Your cat may not be able to jump up on the bed as easily. Arthritis or hip dysplasia can keep a formerly active dog indoors.

Being able to communicate with your animals telepathically can help you give your aging or infirm companions a more easeful life. If your older dog is hard of hearing, being able to connect and ask your dog to ‘come’ to you could save his life. Imagine if your older pet with arthritis wandered off into the woods and became lost? Being able to connect and guide your beloved pet home, or even getting a picture of where he is, can help him return home safely.

I have experienced this first-hand. When I was in the Intensive Care Burn Unit on a ventilator, unable to move or see, my favorite nurse was the one who would gently explain to me every time what medical or body moving procedure they were going to do to me before they did it. My anxiety was reduced tremendously. I felt honored and cared for. She did not think of me as an almost dead, unconscious being and I could feel her supportive energy.

In this video, I share some tips I have learned from my little Maltese dog, Pearl. Pearl is a ‘senior pet’ who had a stroke, can barely hear, is missing an eye and is almost blind in her other eye. Being able to communicate with Pearl, even just to say, “I’m going to set you down on the gravel driveway,” has made a world of difference in her quality of life.

Becoming aware of your older pet’s needs through communication can go a long way to understanding the needs of the human senior population, and possibly your own needs when you are facing health challenges.

Imagine experiencing the sudden death of your two best friends! In the attached video, I share the experience of Eddie the turkey who experienced profound grief after losing his two favorite hens.

Do farm animals have feelings? You won’t have to wonder after hearing Eddie’s story. His story and many more are experienced daily at the Heartland Farm Sanctuary where farm animals such as ducks, goats, sheep, roosters, and yes, turkeys, have a safe place to recover from trauma and enjoy life.

Through many years of communicating with all types of animals, I have learned that each has their own unique perspective on life. Yes, they have feelings and they matter! I love the Heartland Farm Sanctuary because their message of love and unity for these forgotten animals resonates deeply in my heart.

Sanctuaries like Heartland, and the animals they serve, need our help. Would you like to support Lola the pig, or Rosie the duck? Send an email to info@heartlandfarmsanctuary.org to connect with Dana Barre, the sanctuary’s director for more information on how you can help these precious animals experience the joy of life. Visit their website at www.heartlandfarmsanctuary.org.

America’s Animal Communication Expert, Asia Voight gives tips on talking about your pets with physical challenges.

In the attached video, I share about my little Maltese, Pearl, who is a puppy mill survivor. When Pearl talks to me, she often reminds me to speak more about her successes than her challenges.

Words have energy and how we talk to others about our pets can make a difference to our pets’ self-image. Pearl loves to hear herself referred to as a survivor, not a victim.

Each day I am reminded of the joy my sweet Pearl brings to my life. As the survivor of a major car accident years ago, my Pearl reminds me to celebrate the gifts I am given in my life each day. I am not a victim; I am a survivor as well.

A student of mine has a horse who suffered early in life. The student related to me that she often tells people about her horse’s challenges because of the early life experience. When the student heard about Pearl’s message, she realized how her concentration on her horse’s challenges may have contributed to her horse’s attitude towards life, and their relationship. She has now vowed to change her spoken message to others and speak of her horse’s unique gifts and perspectives, rather than her early experiences.

Do animals have a sense of humor? Animal communicator Asia Voight talks to Pablo the cat, who wanted to be the funniest cat in the world.

Over the years, I have talked with thousands of animals and each animal has their own unique personality. One cat I will always remember was Pablo.

I was having a session with a client who asked me to talk with several cats. When it was Pablo’s turn to talk, I grounded and centered myself and asked for Pablo to come forward. In my mind’s eye, he came flying at me on a magic carpet! I immediately began to laugh.

Pablo said he fancies himself as the funniest cat in the world and he wanted to let me know that by making me laugh. It worked. When my client asked why I was laughing so hard, I explained about the magic carpet and Pablo’s personality. She agreed totally and said she experiences this with him often.

“Some of the things he does I just know he is doing with the sole purpose in mind of making me laugh,” said my client.

She’s right. Our animals want to make us happy and help us enjoy life. Sometimes they just want to make us laugh.

Does your cat jump around at your feet? Does your dog chase his tail right in front of you? Does your horse cock his head and make a strange face? They’re not just being “silly”. Perhaps your animal companion wants you to join in the laughter.
