Welcome to my website! Please click on the pages tabs for specific information about me and my books.

I’m very excited to announce the release of my new historical roman, Safe Refuge. The book is Book 1 of a series I’m calling The Newport of the West Series. My hometown of Lake Geneva, WI carried that nickname for most of the beginning of the 20th Century because of the large number of beautiful mansions on the shores of Geneva Lake. In 1871, after the Great Chicago Fire destroyed many of the homes belonging to the wealthy bankers and industrialists of Chicago, the families of these movers and shakers of the 19th moved their families north to the lake and built large beautiful homes for them to live in while the city was being rebuilt. Other well-to-do families came later and built equally beautiful homes as a nice respite from the summer heat in the city.

I apologize for my absence, but I’ve not been sitting around eating chocolates and sitting back with my feet up. I’ve been busy writing, participating in book/author events, and writing.

I am back and hope to show up here a lot more often than I have of late. The total eclipse just happened in Carbondale, IL, about a six-hour drive south of me. It’s been mostly cloudy here in the Chicago metro area, so even though we had approximately 87 percent of coverage we did not see much. It did get a bit darker for a couple minutes, but that’s about it. I saw it better on TV.

In my more personal news, a week from this Friday night (September 1st), I will be in Palestine, Illinois, a small village on the banks of the Wabash river, for the Pioneer City Rodeo that takes place every Labor Day weekend. That is the setting for my book, Second Chance Love. The townspeople are very excited to have a book set in their town and at the rodeo, they will introduce me at each of the three rodeos. Also, I’ll be signing my book during their street fair on Saturday (from opening until 1 p.m.) and Sunday (from 11 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.). I am very excited, as you can imagine!

I’ll be sure to post some pictures on the flip side! If you are interested in purchasing Second Chance Love, you can get a print or Kindle copy at Amazon by going to my Author Page: http://amzn.to/2KQPSCC.

The story is set at the Pioneer City Rodeo in southern Illinois that I attend every Labor Day Weekend. I’ve had a blast plotting and writing the story and featuring one of my most favorite rodeo events of the year as the setting, and in particular the bull riding.

Here’s a blurb about the story to whet your appetite:

Chicago lawyer, Sydney Knight, and Texas bull rider, Jace McGowan, have nothing in common, but everything to lose when they are thrust together at a Labor Day weekend rodeo in southern Illinois. Neither one of them would have imagined two years ago that the deep attraction they sensed during a day-long outing would resurface when Sydney’s boss assigns her to his legal case.

I’M LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD PEOPLE!

If you enjoy reading clean inspirational romances that involves cowboys, I’m looking for a few good people to join my book launch team. As a member you will promote my book by talking it up with friends, featuring it on your blog if you have one, and writing a great review about it on Amazon. I hope to have a FB launch party and will need assistance the day of the event. In return you’ll receive a signed copy of my book and future preview copies of future books to help get the word out on those. If you are interested leave a note in comments and I’ll get back to you.

Today, October 11, 2016, is the official day of kicking off my new blog and….my new website at www.pammeyerswrites.com. You can actually go to the website and find my blog on the Welcome Page and when you click to read more it will bring you right here to this spot.

But don’t do that until you investigate my new website where I feature my books, information about my and my writing and speaking, see some of the latest pics of my events and travels, and …. of course my cats.

Now for the NEWS!

In a matter of days the novella collection I’m a part of will be released in both ebook versions and print. The Bucket List Dare is a fun project and I’m super excited about it. I’ll be announcing it here, on my website, on Facebook and any other place I can. So stay tuned.

In the meantime: Here’s a copy of the back cover blurb. My story is What Lies Ahead about Kat who is a Wounded Warrior whose challenge is to climb a mountain. But, how when she left a leg behind in Afghanistan?

Four best friends—Texas A&M grads—challenge each other to revisit the bucket list they made in college and tackle one daring item before they turn thirty. Living in different parts of the country and with birthdays on the horizon, the Aggie girls choose their adventure and work toward making it happen . . . with wonderful, unexpected results.

Arabel, recently unemployed and with a new genealogical certification to her name, takes off for Scotland to discover the answer to a mysterious hole in her ancestral tree.

Annie, a wedding photographer whose reputation is her pride and her job is her life, crashes the most extravagant wedding in the country.

Kat, an army veteran and amputee, has always dreamed of climbing the most challenging mountain she could find. Now that her life and body have been drastically altered—does she dare?

Jojo is a country veterinarian who has never jumped out of anything higher than a hayloft much less an airplane. How did that get on her bucket list?

The young professionals, facing unknown dangers and risks, call on their strong faith and Aggie spirit, and walk away with love.

We are looking for experienced reviewers for this book. If interested contact me and we’ll get a free PDF copy out to you for review.
