Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has died at 71 years old.

Medics were dispatched to the WWE icon's home in Clearwater, Florida early Thursday morning with operators stating it was regarding a "cardiac arrest."

The police responded to the call at 9:51 a.m. and Hogan was treated by Clearwater Fire & Rescue personnel before being taken to a nearby hospital.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

In May, it was widely reported he had underwent neck surgery.

Last year in an interview with YouTuber and wrestler Logan Paul, external, Hulk said he had at least 25 operations in the last decade.

"I’ve had like 25 surgeries in the last 10 years," he said. "Ten back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced, shoulders - everything."

Just a few weeks ago, Hogan's wife, Sky, whom he married in September 2023, denied rumors he was in a coma, stating his heart was "strong" as he recovered from surgeries.

Few weeks back, reports surfaced that the former President was in the Intensive Care Unit on an undisclosed London hospital.

He was confirmed dead on Sunday, 13th July, 2025.

President Tinubu has ordered flags at half-staff as a mark of respect for the departed leader.

The founder of instant messaging app Telegram, Pavel Durov, says the more than 100 children he has fathered will share his estimated $13.9bn (£10.3bn) fortune.

Pavel Durov, 40, told the French outlet Le Point in an interview about his decision to allocate his fortune. He's worth about $17.1 billion, per Forbes.

Father to six children via natural conception, Durov said he has also been a sperm donor for 100-plus kids in 12 countries.

The billionaire first became a sperm donor to "help a friend," he said, but otherwise it was anonymous.

Durov said that his children will not have access to their inheritances until after his death, until 30 years from the day he gave the interview to Le Point, or June 19, 2055.

"I want them to live like normal people, to build themselves up alone, to learn to trust themselves, to be able to create, not to be dependent on a bank account," he said.

The Telegram messaging app, founded in 2013, is popular for its privacy and encryption options which has over a billion monthly active users but that has also created problems with law enforcement.

French authorities charged Pavel in August 2024 and accused him of allegedly being complicit in running a platform in which illegal activity — such as child sex abuse material, drug trade, fraud etc — could thrive.

The status of that case is not clear, but Durov told Le Point: "Nothing has ever been proven showing that I am, even for a second, guilty of anything."

Telegram has also said it uses various content moderation techniques to weed out illicit behavior, NBC News reported.

Entertainment mogul Tyler Perry has been named in a $260 million lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles with claim that he sexually harassed an actor.

The famous movie producer, who is being talked about for his latest Netflix movie "Straw," has now been sued for sexual assault by a cast member in his hit show "The Oval."

Actor Derek Dixon said in legal docs that Tyler Perry, 55, aggressively tried to establish an sexual relationship between them when he appeared on two of Tyler Perry's programs on BET: 'Ruthless' and 'The Oval'.

Dixon's accusations come right on the heels of the movie producer's roaring success with his latest movie, which was dropped on Netflix titled "Straw", the film features Taraji P. Henson as the lead character playing the role of Janiyah Wiltkinson.

Since its release on Netflix, "Straw" has sparked a flurry of talks focused on the filmmaker's talent. While some view the story as his finest movie yet, others think it reinforces the narrative of him portraying one more Black woman who cannot piece her life together in yet another of his movies.

The stats for the movie are living up to the hype as well. In the week of June 2 to June 8, "Straw" reportedly gathered over 45 million hours of viewing from subscribers on Netflix in just two days following its release on June 6.

Data on Netflix also shows that the movie was in the top 10 in 81 countries worldwide.

Tyler Perry's accuser, Derek Dixon, claimed the assault began in 2020 after the filmmaker approached him to offer him a role in one or more of his productions.

Dixon claimed that after Perry took his number and promised to get in touch in 2019, he then offered him a two episode role in a show titled "Ruthless."

Afterward, the producer reportedly invited him to his home back in 2020, with hopes that a friendship between them would lead to more acting roles, he accepted the offer.

While there, Dixon recalled passing the night in the guest room as he was too intoxicated. As the night went on, Perry reportedly got into bed with him and started rubbing his thighs; although he rejected his advances, Perry remaimed determined to persuade him.

Dixon disclosed revisiting Perry in 2020 in Atlanta. What reportedly began as a warm exchange turned into sexual charges as Perry reportedly grabbed the actor's throat and said suggestive words.

The lawsuit also carried evidence of text messages exchanged between Perry and Dixon where he reportedly said, "No straight man would be going on walks with you or cooking dinner for you unless they wanted to f-ck you. I would f-ck you."

After these series of alleged encounters, Dixon claimed he forwarded a complaint to the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission in June 2024. He even quit "The Oval" based on finding the constant sexual harassment unbearable.

He is now suing the producer and his firm, Tyler Perry Studios, for quid pro quo, workplace sexual harassment, sexual assault, and battery. Dixon also wants $260 million in damages.

Twenty-five African nations are now among the countries that may be subject to new visa bans or other forms of restrictions.

Donald Trump administration is reportedly considering extending travel restrictions that could bar citizens of Nigeria, Ghana and 34 other countries from entering the United States, according to a memo signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

According to The Washington Post, internal directive gives the countries until 8 a.m. Wednesday to submit an initial action plan addressing the U.S. demands.

“Some countries had ‘no competent or cooperative central government authority to produce reliable identity documents or other civil documents,’ or they suffered from ‘widespread government fraud,’” the memo stated.

The proposed restrictions are part of a broader executive order Trump signed in early June, targeting countries with high instances of terrorism threats, visa overstays, or unreliable identity verification systems.

"We cannot allow open migration from any country where we cannot safely and reliably vet and screen those seeking to enter the United States,” Trump said when he announced initially that citizens from 12 countries were restricted from entering the United States.

He went further to say, “That is why today I am signing a new executive order placing travel restrictions on countries including Yemen, Somalia, Haiti, Libya, and numerous others.”

Twenty-five African nations are now among the 36 countries that may be subject to new visa bans and restrictions.

Countries that could face new restrictions in the memo are as follows: Angola; Antigua and Barbuda; Benin; Bhutan; Burkina Faso; Cabo Verde; Cambodia; Cameroon; Democratic Republic of Congo; Djibouti; Dominica; Ethiopia; Egypt; Gabon; Gambia; Ghana; Ivory Coast; Kyrgyzstan; Liberia; Malawi; Mauritania; Niger; Nigeria; Saint Kitts and Nevis; Saint Lucia; Sao Tome and Principe; Senegal; South Sudan; Syria; Tanzania; Tonga; Tuvalu; Uganda; Vanuatu; Zambia; and Zimbabwe.

The directive follows a similar pattern to Trump’s first-term travel bans, which were heavily criticised for disproportionately targeting Muslim-majority and African countries.

In the new order, additional nations, such as Chad, the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Sudan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Iran, and Haiti, are also said to be under scrutiny.

Trump linked the renewed push for immigration restrictions to a recent violent incident in Boulder, Colorado, where 12 people were injured during an attack on a gathering held in support of Israeli hostages. While investigations are ongoing, Trump cited the event as further evidence of the risks posed by inadequate immigration controls.

The African Union has expressed strong opposition to the proposed bans. In a statement, the AU acknowledged the U.S. right to protect its citizens but emphasised that Trump’s decision must be based on facts and balanced diplomacy.

The African Union further urged the U.S. to engage more constructively with the concerned nations.

Convictions on all counts would likely be the equivalent of a life sentence for the 55-year-old Diddy Combs.

Court orders arrest of six CBEX Promoters over alleged $1bn Crypto scam

The Federal High Court in Abuja has approved the request of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission—EFCC to arrest and detain six promoters of Crypto Bridge Exchange(CBEX) over an alleged investment fraud close to a $1 billion.

Justice Emeka Nwite gave the order on Thursday after listening to submissions from Fadila Yusuf, counsel to the EFCC.

The EFCC sought the court’s permission to arrest and keep the suspects in custody while investigations continue.

The six(6) individuals named in the ex parte motion filed on April 23 are Adefowora Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Seyi Oloyede, Avwerosuo Otorudo, and Chukwuebuka Ehirim.

The suspects were accused of promoting CBEX, convincing people to invest in cryptocurrency through their platform while promising extremely high and enticing returns.

“The victims were required to convert their digital assets into USDT, a stablecoin, and deposit them into the suspects’ cryptocurrency wallets,” the affidavit stated.

At first, investors could monitor their investments through the CBEX platform but after over $1 billion was deposited, the platform was shut down, and victims who invested could no longer access their assets.

The Commission said the fraud was carried out through ST Technologies International Ltd in partnership with CBEX.

Further investigations brought to light that although ST Technologies was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC), it was never licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) to run an investment business.

It was also discovered during the investigation that "the defendants had moved out of their last known address in Lagos State and Ogun State."

The Anti-graft agency said obtaining a warrant of arrest was necessary in order to place the defendants on a watch list and enabling authorities to track and apprehend the suspects to face the charges brought against them.

Justice Emeka Nwite granted the request for a warrant of arrest and remand, adding that the order was necessary to enable the commission to apprehend the defendants and conclude its investigation.

“I have listened to the submission of the learned counsel for the applicant,” Nwite said.

“I have also gone through the affidavit evidence with exhibits thereto, along with the written address.

“I am of the view and I so hold that the application is meritorious.
