DAL LAKE

The most important one in dal lake is houseboats. Houseboat and the dal are widely associated with Sree Nagar and are nick named as floating places. Houseboats looks like a luxurious hotel. Many of them have lavishly furnished rooms, with verandas and a terrace to serve as a sun-deck or to serve evening cocktails. the houseboats are of different sizes, some having upto three bedrooms apart from a living room and a kitchen. Unlike their counterparts in Kerala, the houseboats in Sree Nagar, Jammu and kashmir are usually stationary. They are usually moored at the edge of the Dal Lake and Nigeen Lake.
