There are many ways to memorize:

• Repeated reading of a verse
• Writing down the verse several times
• Listening to the verses being read
• Putting the verse to a tune and singing the verses

All of these help and I would recommend that you use all of them. However, listening to song has proven to be a very easy and effective way to memorize Scripture verses. You can put them on your MP3 player or phone and listen while you walk, exercise, do chores, run errands, etc.

The system that was developed focuses on different topics with visual aids to help remember the reference and the first few words of the the verse.

TOPICS

The topics are: Love, Joy, Patience, Humility, Obedience, Anger, Diligence, Servanthood, Temptation, and Joy. There are 10 verses on each topic. The audio set for each topic is 10 verses to song and a review of all ten. Each verse is repeated 3 times. This is extremely helpful for memorizing the Bible verse and where the verse is found in the Bible.

VERSE CARDS

There is a cartoon type verse card for each verse. These cards are great for prompting you to remember the reference and the first few words of the verse. They are great also for games.
