New releases

eXo v0.8 and Zeit v0.4 were released this month.

eXo changes:

clean port to Qt5 and C++11, Qt4 dropped
popup menu for bookmark manager entries (move items, copy URL)
blocking calls replaced with async code
do not scrobble fast forwarded files
lyrics autoupdate option in the lyrics dialog
updated CMus support

eXo source v0.8

Zeit changes:

codebase rewritten in C++14 standard, code simplified
dialog windows were sligthly redesigned and improved
fix for the issue with excessive quoting of Command and Timer entries
workaround for KDE bug when the icon text is not being set

Installation on Ubuntu:

eXo v0.7 is released

New release is mainly focused on stability and usability improvements instead of bringing up new features, because it’s the last release with the Qt4 support. So I wanted to polish it as much as possible in order to give the Qt4-users the best achievable experience.

Main highlights:

Now it’s possible to move items up and down in the bookmark manager (see the tooltip)
Single instance protection
Fixed issue when the MOC player window was not showing with the latest Konsole version
Qt5 build is now default (but still Qt4 for all Ubuntu releases in the ppa)
CMus support has been updated
Lots of various fixes and improvements
Removed current time display in the tooltip

Packages for Trusty, Xenial, Yakkety and Zesty are already there.

audioscrobbler auth CLI, can be useful when X server is not available (i.e. Ubuntu on Windows);
detection of installed tag editors (Picard, EasyTag etc.) and new submenu allowing to run them against current audiotrack;
bookmark dialog improved and simplified;
various improvements and fixes.
